“No!” I shouted, dismayed, forced to leave his side when Renna hauled me away from the raging fire.
I held Renna to me and we all watched in horror, unable to help Kyro, while the fire consumed him, killing him in its blaze, and leaving nothing but the ashes of him. Embers danced above him, until a wild gust of wind came out of nowhere, sweeping over us, and taking the cinders with it.
Panting, and shocked, Renna, Catina and I looked at each other.
“Anyone want to explain what just happened?!” Catina shrieked.
