Dragon's Mail Order Bride (West Coast Water Dragons Book 2)

Bryce was more than happy to go along with them, too. He’d have done anything if it made Jasmine happy. So as the sun crept over the horizon, he rose, humming to himself as he pulled the garment bag down from where it was hanging on the back of the door. A special gift from James, who’d taken him on a trip to the mainland to get measured for it. Though Jasmine had said she loved him in the shirt he’d been wearing on the day they’d met, James had felt that something a little more formal was in order for their official wedding… so he’d had a tuxedo tailor-made for him. After he’d dressed, he surveyed himself in the mirror… he had to admit, James had been right. He looked great. And he couldn’t wait to see what Jasmine was wearing. If he looked this good, she was going to be an absolute vision.
They’d agreed to meet at the town square for the ceremony. Technically, they were already married, at least when it came to the ceremonial side—the remaining task was to sign the paperwork. So they’d decided to make that moment special. Bryce remembered the gorgeous party Lachlan and Serena had thrown to celebrate their union, and he and Jasmine had decided they wanted something similar. Not a wedding, exactly—dragons didn’t have weddings—but something to mark the occasion.
Sure enough, his friends were all there—he grinned, noticing they were all in matching white shirts. James’s doing, he was sure. He’d been surprised, after finally introducing James to Jasmine, by how seriously he’d taken the relationship. Was it possible that their womanizing friend had a soft spot when it came to true love? Serena was there, too, wearing a soft gray dress that accentuated her slender figure… and her growing baby bump. She looked radiant, and Bryce smiled as he noticed the way Lachlan kept sneaking glances at his mate.
But all thoughts of the others disappeared from his head when Jasmine arrived.
The dress she was wearing was exquisite. It was shimmering white and clung to her curves as though she’d been poured into it—it accentuated the curve of her waist, her ample bosom, her curvaceous figure. She looked absolutely stunning—and she knew it, too, he thought with a smile as she grinned across the town square at him. James’s little sister Alice was walking with Jasmine—she was wearing a gray dress like Serena’s, and she gave Bryce a broad grin as she led Jasmine to his side.
”You look gorgeous,” he murmured to Jasmine, reaching out to take her hands in his.
”So do you!” she said, grinning up at him as she squeezed his hands. “What a suit. James did well.”
James sketched a little bow, a rakish grin dancing across his handsome face. “Anything for you two.”
Lachlan led them all to a long table that had been set up in the town square. It was covered in an ample breakfast—a range of pastries, pancakes with a dozen different toppings, fresh fruit, pots of steaming hot coffee and jugs of freshly squeezed juice. And at the head of the table were two chairs for Jasmine and Bryce, the paperwork for their marriage laid out in front of them.
Once everyone was settled at the table, Lachlan cleared his throat.
”Ladies and gentlemen,” he said, grinning down the table at his friends. “We’re gathered to celebrate the loving union of Bryce and Jasmine—and to formally welcome Jasmine as a new member of our community. We’re thrilled for the happy couple, and we wish them nothing but happiness going forward. We’ve all known Bryce a long time,” he continued, giving Bryce a wink. “We know he’s the strong, silent type. So I was as surprised as any of you to hear he wanted to say a few words today.”
Jasmine turned to him, surprise on her face, and he smiled. “Jasmine, meeting you changed my life. Every day, we learn more about each other, and every day, I fall more and more in love with you. You’re my soulmate, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
She beamed up at him, tears of joy standing in her hazel eyes. “I feel the same way,” she said simply, looking down the table. “I never thought I’d be in such a beautiful place, surrounded by such wonderful new friends, with the strongest, kindest, sweetest man I’ve ever met as my husband. I’m the luckiest woman on the planet. No—the luckiest human.” A ripple of laughter went up along the table, and Bryce grinned down at Jasmine as she took his hands in hers. “You’re my soulmate, and I love you more than anything.”
With the papers signed, there was nothing left to do but to celebrate. The weather was perfect, and the conversation was lively—Jasmine had made fast friends with the residents of the peninsula, and Bryce was happy just to watch her chatting animatedly with Lachlan and Serena, laughing at the antics of their little daughter, matching wits with James and Daniel as they joked and laughed. But when the breakfast was finished, he found himself itching to be alone with her—and when she looked up at him, he slipped his hand into hers and led her away, leaving their friends to finish their meal together.
They walked together along the beach, the hem of Jasmine’s dress trailing in the sand, hand in hand. The sun was high and warm even in the chilly winter air, and Bryce’s heart was so full of joy he felt like he might explode.
”I know we’ve been living together for a month already,” he said as they neared the cottage, “but I understand this is something of a human tradition, so…”
She looked quizzical—then alarmed as he reached down and scooped her effortlessly into his arms, laughing as she wiggled in his grasp. With great ceremony, he carried her across the threshold of their cottage, and she laughed, throwing her arms around his neck and kissing him. It felt so good to have her in his arms again, and he held her close, breathing in the scent of her, hardly believing that she was his… they were pledged to each other forever, now. Not that he needed paperwork to prove what he felt for her… but to declare his love in front of friends and family, that felt incredible.
”I never want to sleep without you again,” he murmured to her, breaking their breathless kiss as he carried her towards the bedroom.
”Is that what we’re doing now?” she breathed, her eyes aglow. “Sleeping?”
”What else would a couple of newlyweds do in a bedroom?” he asked, raising an eyebrow at her. She giggled and then claimed his lips again in a kiss. He lay her down on the bed without breaking the kiss, pressing his body against her, already feeling himself responding as his hands roamed across her body, exploring her curves, smiling at the soft, silky feeling of the dress under his fingertips.
”God, you look great in a tux,” Jasmine breathed, breaking away to sit up. “Almost as good as you look out of one.” And with that, she set about yanking pieces of his suit from him with a single-minded determination. He laughed, helping her with the buttons, the urgency in him tempered by a determination to take his time. They’d made love plenty of times before, but this time was special. This time, they were officially husband and wife… and he wanted to take it slow.
But Jasmine clearly had other ideas. Before long, he was almost naked before her, only in his boxers, and he growled as she reached to tug those down, too. “Not fair. You’re still dressed.”
She reclined seductively on the bed, treating him to a full view of the dress in all its glory. “You might have to help me get out of this,” she murmured, her hazel eyes dark.
That was all the encouragement he needed to pounce on her, pressing her body into the mattress as his hands roamed in search of where the dress unbuttoned or unzipped. Soon enough, he’d found it, and he eased the garment from her body, impatient to reveal her but not wanting to damage the dress… but as soon as the dress cleared her body, he forgot about it, so completely floored by what she was wearing underneath.
”D’you like it?” she smiled, striking a pose. She was wearing a matching set of exquisite white lingerie, her ample bosom poured into the lacy cups, the curve of her hips adorned by lace and fabric. He opened his mouth, closed it again. There was nothing he could say. All he could do was to pull her into his arms and cover her in kisses until she was gasping and writhing in his arms, her hands roaming across his body too. He pulled the blankets over them, aware of
the chill of the winter air, and they lost themselves in each other, their kisses growing deeper and more frantic as the heat in their bodies rose.
He slipped a hand under the waistband of her panties, his fingertips creeping towards the heat between her legs—she whimpered a little, parting her thighs to grant him easier access, her head thrown back as he kissed and nibbled at her exposed throat where he knew there were a dozen sensitive places to coax pleasure from. His fingers stroked her sex, diving in and out of her, teasing at the swelling nub of her clitoris and making her gasp, bucking and grinding her hips against his hand. But before he could tear the panties off her, her hands were finding their way down his body, and before he knew it, he was on his back, her hands caressing his manhood through the thin fabric of his boxers. He groaned, desperate for more friction, letting her take control as she eased his boxers from his hips and abandoned them. He gazed down to where she was crouched over him, her eyes glowing wickedly in the gloom beneath the blankets, her mane of gorgeous chestnut hair falling around her face… and then she lowered her mouth onto his cock, and he threw his head back, choking on a groan at the unbelievable sensation of her lips against him.
She played with him for what felt like hours, and he was helpless to do anything about it. She’d coax him closer and closer to the edge until his whole body was tense, his fists clenching in the bedsheets… then she’d ease off with a chuckle, her hands roaming across his abdomen, clearly admiring the musculature of his abdomen. But before he could pounce on her, she’d take him into her mouth again, and he’d be lost, abandoned to the sensations she was drawing out of him… she’d drive him to the very edge of climax again, then ease off, her grin equal parts wicked and divine. And just when he felt like he couldn’t handle another round, just as he was about to start begging for her to stop teasing him and finish him already, she was on top of him, straddling his hips. And with one decisive motion, she slid him to the hilt inside her.
He gazed up at her, frozen, feeling strangely vulnerable with her hands pinning his shoulders to the bed, her hair tumbling down across his chest, her hazel eyes inches from his. Then she kissed him, and they began to move together, her whimpering as his manhood struck that particular place inside her, over and over. It was as though their bodies were made for each other—his pleasure seemed to magnify hers, and every gasp and whimper from her drove him into deeper ecstasy. His hands were on her hips, rocking her body back and forth, urging her on as his pleasure grew and grew—he tensed his body, driving himself deeper and deeper inside her. He knew from the sounds she was making that she was close—he refused to let his climax take him until hers was inevitable. And it wasn’t long before her body started to shudder, her hands clenching on his chest as her climax rushed over her with the force of a tidal wave… and he cried out as her body clenched down hard around him, dragging him irresistibly over the edge with her.
She collapsed atop him, giggling a little as they awkwardly disentangled their bodies from one another… then she flopped against him, both of them breathing hard and wrapped in each other’s arms in the afterglow. Bryce pushed a lock of that soft chestnut hair out of her face, smiling down as he wiped a smudge of lipstick from her face. She gazed up at him sleepily, a look of absolute contentment on her face… then she giggled.
”What?”
”You’re covered in lipstick,” she laughed, reaching up to wipe at his face with her thumb. “And that’s just your face…”
He chuckled as he thought of where else those lips had been. “I don’t mind,” he said softly, pulling her closer. “You could paint my whole body pink if it made you happy.”
”Hmm. Maybe tomorrow,” she said, grinning at him. “Or the next day. Or the day after that…”
”Say the word, Jasmine. I’m yours.”
She smiled that breathtaking smile at him—that smile that had stolen his heart the instant he’d seen it. He pulled her closer, breathed in the scent of her hair, hardly daring to believe that he’d gotten so lucky. His soulmate, here in his arms…. making him the happiest man alive.

Just one wild night with a beautiful, devastatingly hot stranger.
A Greek god with sun-kissed skin and a powerful six-pack tangled in the sheets.
My sheets.
I didn’t usually do this type of thing.
I was the responsible one, the hard-working type.
But meeting him was like two tidal waves crashing together with single-minded ferocity.
The possessive, sinful glint in his eyes has haunted me ever since.
Until, against all odds, we meet again.
The man is still the most gorgeous and intoxicating thing I’ve ever seen.
He’s also the biggest womanizer on the planet, always on the hunt.
But underneath the cocky party animal is something primal and very, very real.
I’ve never forgotten those piercing blue eyes.
The blue of the ocean.
The blue of a Dragon.
The exact blue of my little son’s eyes…
