IRISH (The Trident Series Book 4)

Her face turned red, and she went to look away, but he wouldn’t let her. He took her chin with his fingers and tilted her face towards his.
“Look at me.”
“I’m sorry. I’m just nervous. You are so much more experienced, and I’m making a mess of this.”
He smiled. “No, you’re not. I may be more experienced, but that is a bonus for you. Just relax, okay?”
“Okay,” she whispered.
“Good. Now, you seemed to be a little overdressed.” Her cheeks turned pink again, and he wanted to laugh at how adorable she was when she got embarrassed. But as he pulled the robe from her body and saw her fully naked for the first time, the woman had no reason to be embarrassed at all.
He nestled his body between her thighs and pressed his body against hers. He didn’t want to rush this. He wanted it to be perfect for her, but he wasn’t lying when he told her it was hard to hold back. Especially now, feeling her soft skin against his and how wet and warm her pussy felt against his cock. She grabbed onto his shoulders and looked at him. He could see different emotions swirling in her eyes, but what made his heart beat faster was the love he saw.
He took her face between his hands. Their gazes were locked onto each other. He could feel her heartbeat. He lined up his cock at her entrance and slowly started to push in. He looked down at her, making sure she was okay before he went any further. He pulled out a smidge and entered her again, letting her adjust to his size. She held his gaze and squeezed his shoulders.
“Make me yours, Ky.”
With those words, he shoved in until he couldn’t go any further. He heard her gasp, but before he could ask her if she was okay, she thrust her hips upward. He was close to losing all control. She felt so good, but this wasn’t about him. This was all for Bailey. She showed him what love was. Slowly, he made love to her. Being deep within her and connected overwhelmed him. His emotion felt like they were on steroids. Never had sex felt so intimate—so right. Her tight vaginal walls squeezed his cock, sending him quickly over the edge. Beads of sweat formed along his brows as he fought to get himself under control. Seconds later, he felt Bailey’s body tense before a soft moan escaped her lips. She was absolutely beautiful as she came. He stroked into her a few more times and followed, filling her with his seed.
He lowered his body, putting some of his weight onto her, and she wrapped her arms around him. Her breathing was rapid, and they were both sweaty.
“I love you. You are mine forever. He kept kissing her neck, cheeks, whatever skin he could find. When he looked at her, he saw the tears.
“Shit, did I hurt you,” he asked, wiping the moisture from her face. But she smiled up at him with that million-dollar smile of hers and shook her head.
“Why the tears then?”
“Because that was perfect, and I love you so much.” She tilted her head up and kissed him tenderly, and he hugged her tight and held on to her.
They laid there entwined with one another for a little while longer until Bailey looked at the clock.
“We need to get up and get ready.”
He squeezed her tighter and kissed her shoulder. “We still have some time. I want to lay here with you in my arms for a little bit. Then we’ll get a shower.”
“A shower together?” She asked.
Irish smiled. “I’m a SEAL, baby. I like all types of water sports.” He wiggled his eyebrows.
Oh, Lord. She had so much to learn.
Chapter Thirty
Irish and Bailey parked the car and walked down the street to where the local fire department held their haunted house. All of the admission proceeds went to the firehouse.
“Wow! This is awesome,” Bailey stated as she clung to Irish’s arm. He looked around. The fire department did a great job every year putting the event on. There were Halloween displays everywhere. Some were scarier than others.
As they got closer, they saw the gang standing around, talking to some of the first responders. Irish got a glimpse of Sienna before she saw them. She was hanging out with Alejandra and Cody. The three of them looked festive. Cody was dressed as a grim reaper with face paint and everything, while Alejandra was dressed in a Good-Witch costume.
Sienna finally spotted them and came running towards them. She jumped into his arms and then roared like a tiger, making him and Bailey laugh.
“Oh, Sienna, your costume looks so cute,” Bailey said to her as she leaned in and gave her a hug.
“Thank you. Aunt Tenley helped me with my face paint.” Irish smiled. He loved how the two leading ladies in life interacted with one another. You would swear that Bailey was Sienna’s biological mother.
Tenley and Alex walked over with Potter and Ace. “It’s about time you two finally showed up,” Potter said, shaking Irish’s hand.
“Oh, come on, we are only like five minutes late.” Irish tried arguing with Potter, but then a loud squeal by Tenley and Alex, and the site of the two of them jumping up and down ended it as they looked to see what had the women up in a roar.
“They’re engaged!” Alex blurted out and then hugged Irish. “I am so happy for you! I told you there was someone out there perfect for you.” He smiled and hugged her back. Alex was the one person who did believe he would eventually find the love of his life, and if he was honest, he owed her. After all, she was the one who gave Bailey the push to give him a chance, and she was also the one responsible for helping bring them back together when he acted like an asshole.
He kissed her on the cheek. “Thanks, Alex. You did believe in me, so I owe you at least that and more.” He winked.
“Oh, don’t worry, I will collect one of these days.” Everyone laughed.
“Uncle Ky, can Bailey, Aunt Alex, and Aunt Autumn take us to the haunted house now?”
“You want to go to the haunted house? It is pretty scary,” he asked Sienna.
“Uh, huh. I’m a big girl. Plus, Uncle Ace’s friend, fireman Russ, said that he would protect us.”
“He did, did he?” He asked but looked at Ace just to confirm that was true. They all knew a lot of the first responders in town, but Irish wasn’t familiar with “fireman Russ.”
Ace chuckled. “It’s fine, man. Russ is a buddy of mine. He’s a former Marine. He got caught up in some shit during his last deployment about a year and a half ago. You know, wrong place, wrong time.”
Irish nodded his head. He knew all too well about the wrong place, wrong time. He had escaped death by mere seconds before.
“Anyway, he busted his hip. They wanted to put him on desk duty, but he wasn’t down with it, so he left the Corps and went through the fire academy, passed everything with flying colors, and he ended up with Engine 18.
“That’s a bummer. But I’m glad he found his calling with the fire department. If you say it’s okay for the women and kids to go, then I’m fine with it.”
“He’s just going in ahead of them to warn the workers in the house that some kids are coming through and to tone down the scare tactics a little.”
“That’s cool.”
◆◆◆
Bailey, Alex, and Autumn walked with Cody, Alejandra, and Sienna towards the haunted house. Even though she knew that Russ was giving the actors a warning about the kids coming through, Bailey was still scared shitless to go through the house. She’d been in haunted houses before, but she always had some male friends she could hang onto and bury her face in their back, so she wouldn’t have to “technically” see anything.
As they walked around the side of the two-story rundown house to enter, she caught sight of someone dressed as Michael Myers from the movie Halloween, and she froze. Shit! Seeing him in a movie was one thing, but knowing he was lurking in the house that she was about to enter almost made her turn around. It was just something about that damn white mask and how the scary man moved, showing no emotion. She looked back over her shoulder again, but he was gone. A chill wracked her body, and she pulled her jacket a little tighter around her as she continued t
hrough the line.
They had to wait about five minutes to let the group ahead get through before it was the kids’ turn.
Alex turned around and hugged her arm. “I’m so happy for you and Irish.”
Bailey looked down at the ring on her finger again. She’d done it so many times since Irish put it on there.
“I still can’t believe it. I mean, here I was, trying to tell Irish I wanted to have sex with him, and then he goes and surprises me with this,” she exclaimed, holding up her left hand.
A sly smile spread across Alex’s face. “You and Irish had sex?”
Bailey felt the heat in her cheeks. Alex knew Bailey was a little hesitant to have sex with Irish because she was so inexperienced. She grinned and nodded her head.
“Yes!” Alex exclaimed. But the celebration was short-lived because their group was called to enter the house. Bailey's nerves were off the charts, and she felt as if she was going to be sick. She despised these things but would do it for Sienna.
As they were ushered from room to room, Bailey began to relax. It was obvious the men and women who worked in the haunted house had been warned that kids were coming through.
As they started down a long dark hallway, Bailey accidentally stepped on Sienna’s long tiger tail, causing Sienna to fall. Trying to see her way in the dark, Bailey bent down and asked her if she was okay, and Sienna giggled and told her she was fine but that she had lost her shoe. Alex joined them, and Bailey told her what happened. They were all trying to feel around in the dark, but Bailey knew that the next group would be coming soon.
“Alex, you and Autumn keep going with Cody and Alejandra. Sienna and I will keep looking. It has to be here somewhere. I’ll try to find one of the workers to help.”
Alex agreed and left Bailey and Sienna.
It was only about thirty seconds after Alex left them that Sienna found her shoe under a curtain. As Bailey was putting Sienna’s shoe back on, a large hand landed on her shoulder. The move startled her. As she stood and turned around, she came face-to-face with a huge man dressed in a police uniform.
“Ma’am, you need to come with me.”
Bailey jerked back and put herself in-between the guy and Sienna. “Excuse me?” She asked.
“A person was injured up ahead, and we are trying to evacuate the house until we can get the individual out.” She eyed the guy over. He was wearing a police uniform. “Everyone behind you is being escorted out through the other exits.” He gestured toward a door she hadn’t even noticed. There was an exit sign illuminated above it. She was still a little skeptical, but if a police officer asked her to do something, she would listen, although her gut instincts told her something wasn’t right.
As soon as she stepped out into the dark alley behind the house, she froze. Randy stood next to a black limousine with an evil grin on his face.
“Hello, Bailey…surprised to see me here?” Bailey gripped Sienna’s hand and looked at her and saw how wide her eyes were. Good girl. Sienna recognized who Randy was from the pictures she and Irish had shown her just in case if he were to show up. She gave Sienna’s hand a little squeeze to instill a little encouragement. Bailey had no intention of standing around. She would fight, but her priority was to get Sienna away from the situation. She squared her shoulders and readied herself for a battle.
“Actually, I’m not,” she told him. She knew it was only a matter of time before he came after her.
He opened the door to the vehicle and motioned to her. “Get in.” When she didn’t move, the guy in the police uniform said, “Get in the car, or I put a bullet in the girl.” Her blood turned to ice as she feared for Sienna’s life. On instinct, Bailey moved Sienna behind her to shield her, but the man was quicker and snatched Sienna from her. Sienna screamed, and the guy covered her mouth to muffle the sound. When Bailey turned back around, Randy stood directly in front of her. She went to strike him, but he caught her arm and stuck her with a needle.
“Ow!” She covered her arm and looked at him.
“You honestly didn’t think I wouldn’t come prepared this time, did you?”
It made her feel good, knowing that he was scared of her after what she had done to him. He still had a bandage on his forehead where she had hit him with the umbrella.
But her concern at the moment was Sienna and getting her to safety. Not knowing what Randy had injected her with, she probably only had a little time before becoming incapacitated.
She recalled the moves Murphy taught her. She swung her elbow into the stomach of the guy holding Sienna. He dropped Sienna, and while he was bent over, she kneed him in the balls, then punched him in the face. The guy cried out and fell backward onto the ground. Bailey turned to Sienna.
“Run, Sienna!” When she saw Sienna running toward safety, she turned her attention back to Randy. Her vision became worse, and she stumbled when her legs started to go numb. Randy punched her in the head, and everything went black.
“Get her in the fucking car,” Randy spat at his friend. Todd lifted Bailey’s limp body up and put her in the car. The guy Bailey took down got up from the ground. His face was bleeding, and he was holding his crotch. “Get in and drive, you idiot. That little brat is probably already telling her uncle and his friends. This place is swarming with police, and they will be on our ass in no time. We need to make it to the airstrip.”

Irish was enjoying himself. He felt like he was on the top of the world.
“I still can’t believe it, man. Congratulations, again,” Ace said, and Potter joined in.
“Yeah, if you of all people managed to find a woman to tame your ass, then there is hope for the rest of us,” Dino said, joking around.
Irish glanced in the direction of the haunted house and saw Alex and Autumn walking towards the group, but there was no sign of Bailey or Sienna, and that didn’t sit right with him.
“Holy crap!” Alex exclaimed as she and Autumn laughed. “Those firemen really know how to put on a haunted house.”
“Where is Bailey and Sienna?” Irish asked.
Alex looked over her shoulder back toward the exit of the haunted house. She scrunched her eyebrows together. “Her and Sienna were right behind us, but we got separated because Sienna lost her shoe. We were going to wait while Bailey looked for it, but she told us to keep walking, and she would meet us out here.”
Irish looked back toward the building, and his gut twisted, especially when his eyes locked on a buddy of his, who was on the local SWAT team approaching and holding Sienna, who was crying.
“What the hell…” He stated and took off in their direction. The others must have seen what was going on because they were all right behind him. As soon as Sienna saw Irish, she started kicking, and the officer set her down, and she jumped into Irish’s arms and hugged him tight.
She was shaking like a leaf. “Honey, what’s wrong? Where’s Bailey?” She squeezed his neck tighter and started crying harder. He held her close to him and rubbed her back. He looked over to his friend and mouthed, “What happened?”
“I don’t exactly know. I was standing along the side of the house with some others on my team when she came running from behind the house. I recognized her immediately. She was crying, saying that she needed to find you.”
Sienna pulled back and looked at Irish. “Uncle Ky, the bad man took Bailey. He tried to make me go with them, but Bailey kicked him and told me to run.” Irish heard the fear in her tiny voice. “He hurt her Uncle Ky. I saw him hit her, then they picked her up and put her in one of those big cars.”
“Irish, I’ve got my team and the chief heading over,” Officer Cade said. He was talking into his radio, relaying the information to someone.
Irish looked at his team. “It was Randy. The fucker must have been watching, and he took her. Goddammit!” He looked at Sienna. “Honey, was it the man in the picture that Bailey and I showed you?”
Sienna shook her head, yes, and Irish felt like he’d been struck by
a bus. He was pissed and worried at the same time. If Randy took Bailey, there was no telling where they were headed. Randy had to know that as soon as Sienna told them, he would be a hunted man.
Officer Cade stepped up. “Sienna, sweetie, when you say a big car, can you describe it for me?” She looked at Irish as if she was unsure who to talk to.
He rubbed her cheek. “It’s okay, peanut. You can tell him. If you can remember the color of the car, that would be helpful to the police and give them more information to find Bailey.”
She took a big breath, and Irish knew that this had to be difficult and very confusing for a six-year-old. But she was a tough cookie and started giving them more details than they asked for, and damn if Irish hadn’t felt proud, but on the other hand, he was scared. He knew that if Randy had Bailey, it wasn’t going to end well for her.

“Okay, everyone, listen up.” The Chief made his way to the front of the large group waiting to hear anything from the state police.
With Sienna’s detailed description of the black limousine with the white letters TL on the right rear bumper and a partial plate and the description of the two men, they knew they were looking for Randy Lamont and an unknown accomplice. The information was passed onto the Virginia State Police, and they had their helicopter up in search of the vehicle.
“The suspect’s car was spotted on the 264, heading west. We’ve got a helicopter following them at a distance. They have to know by now that we are looking for them. I’ve also received word that a private jet landed at the small airstrip off the highway about three hours ago. The plane is registered to a law firm out of Birmingham, Alabama.”
Irish clenched his jaw. He knew exactly what law firm that plane belonged to. Anderson Law Firm.
“I’ve got a team heading to the airstrip to intercept them.”
“How can we help?” Ace said.
“Get your vehicles and stay behind my patrol truck. I’ll have another unit follow behind you, so other units know you are with us. The local utility company is cooperating and is opening the utility road leading into the airport. It’s a shortcut, but it’ll be a bumpy ride, so be prepared.”
