Joker let go of him and stepped back.

“As much as I want to fuck you over this desk, that’s not why I’m here,” Joker said, sounding breathless and just as affected as Gabe was.

“That’s no fair,” Gabe said and pouted at Joker.

Joker’s eyes flickered down to Gabe’s lips and a smile spread on his face. He glanced back up, meeting Gabe’s gaze.

“You’re the one who’s not playing fair,” Joker said.

Joker walked to the wall furthest from Gabe, his hands clenching and unclenching as if he was struggling to keep himself under control.

“We have a mole,” Joker said.

That was the last thing Gabe thought he’d say. He stared at Joker, not sure he’d heard right.

  “How?”

“Ronin is likely working with Wade. For them to have found out that we were working with Sean and where he was, they would’ve had to have someone inside the club.”

Gabe slid off the table. “Why are you telling me?”

“Because I trust you,” Joker said.

So much went through Gabe’s head right then, he failed to form any words. The same man who’d purposefully kept things from him for years just told him a club secret and said he trusted him. Hell must’ve frozen over.

“Thank you,” Gabe said and walked up to Joker. He cupped Joker’s cheeks and stole a kiss. “Thank you for trusting me.”

Joker grunted and said, “I just know it wasn’t you. You weren’t privy to any of that information.”

Gabe gasped and smacked Joker in the arm.

  “You asshole.”

Joker’s laughter caused him to fight a smile.

“Are you seriously laughing right now?”

With a wide smile on his lips, Joker reached for Gabe. He reluctantly let Joker tug him closer.

“Of course I know you’re not the mole. Even if you had known those things,” Joker said and cupped Gabe’s face in his hands, rubbing his thumbs over Gabe’s cheeks. “I did love seeing that outraged expression on your face, though.”

Gabe chuckled and shook his head. “You bastard.”

Joker was still smiling when Gabe pulled him down for a kiss.

  Joker

He left the auto shop before Zayne returned, knowing he would’ve likely had to wait a long ass time for him if he hadn’t. He wasn’t jealous of those two. What he had with Gabe was much different than what they had. He wasn’t a fan of the whole PDA thing. He kept his shit private, no matter what it was.

He drove into the courtyard at the club and parked his bike. There was only a few other bikes and a cage there. Sean’s car had been hidden somewhere else. He walked inside, heading for the room he knew Sean was in. As he neared, a frown formed on his forehead. There was supposed to be someone stationed outside Sean’s door, but the hallway was empty. With a hand on his gun, he walked closer. He could hear muffled voices from inside the room. The door was ajar and just as he was about to pull his gun, he heard laughter. He clenched his teeth and pushed open the door.

He found Jet and Sean playing card. They were so deep in their game they didn’t even notice him entering. He crossed his arms over his chest and cleared his throat. Sean glanced up, meeting Joker’s gaze without a shadow of concern on his face. Jet froze, his whole body tensing.

Jet looked up over his shoulder, his eyes widening when he saw Joker. He scrambled off his chair and hightailed it out of the room. He knew better than to try and apologize. There was no point. He’d have to answer to Stiletto for his irresponsibility.

“Hey, why’d you have to do that?” Sean asked, crossing his arms.

Joker turned his gaze on Sean, glaring at him. Sean stood and leaned his head to the side, looking behind Joker.

“Is Gabe with you?” Sean asked, and when Joker didn’t answer, he asked, “It’s not serious between you two, right? I mean, you’re not exactly the settling down type, if you know what I mean.”

Joker let out a growl which had Sean sitting back and holding up his hands.

  “Geeze. I was just asking.”

“How the hell have you survived this long?” Joker asked, though he didn’t actually want an answer. Of course, Sean didn’t mind giving him one.

“My beautiful face gets me through most things,” Sean said and shrugged). “So, I take it Gabe’s out of the question, then?”

Joker took a step toward Sean who was smart enough to move backwards.

“Stay the hell away from him,” Joker growled.

Sean’s lips quirked at the corners and he tilted his head to the side. “Someone’s overprotective. Afraid he’ll find someone better?”

“One more word outta you,” Joker said and left the rest of the threat implied.

“Whatever. I just don’t think you should actually be worried. I mean, if you’d seen the way he looks at you…”

Joker refused to take the bait.

“King went to see you earlier, right?” He waited for Sean’s nod before he continued. “He told you about Wade and the Henchmen.”

“He did,” Sean said with a nod.

“What do you know about Wade?”

“Honestly? Not a hell of a lot. He showed up two days before I called King. He started making inquiries and wanted to do business with me. When he didn’t even know what I sold, I knew something was off. He said you guys had referred him,” Sean said.

Joker raised an unbelieving brow. “That would be counterproductive to us wanting to keep our business secret.”

“I know. That’s what I figured, too. I held him off for as long as I could and called King. Then he came at me. First, I got a call from one of my men, telling me they’d been attacked and that two of them were dead. I told them to get out of town and lay low for a while. Then shortly after as I was packing up my shit, bullets started flying at my house. Luckily, I had a brilliant escape plan.”

  “Paranoid bastard.”

“Hey. It paid off, didn’t it?”

Joker nodded. “So you went to hide out at the warehouse?”

“Yeah. I was there over a day before you assholes decided to show up,” Sean said with an accusing glare at Joker.

The Henchmen were really starting to become a thorn in the club’s side. They needed to do something and soon. This couldn’t go on. They needed to find that damned mole. He glanced at Sean, watching him closely as a plan formed in his mind.

  Gabe

The second Joker stepped through the door, he rushed into the hallway. Nerves were hitting him hard. He wrung his hands as he watched Joker pull off his cut and waited for him to turn around. Joker took off his boots and glanced at Gabe, a frown settling between his brows.

  “Why do you look nervous?”

“Um.” Gabe rocked back on his heels. “I kinda did a thing.”

That turned out to be the completely wrong thing to say because Joker tensed up, looking like he expected the worst. Joker walked towards him but stopped right before he reached Gabe, looking surprised as he drew in a deep breath.

  “Did you cook?” Joker asked.

Gabe bit his lip and nodded.

“Is that…?” Joker trailed off as he walked past Gabe and into the kitchen. He headed directly for the stove where he pulled the lid off of the pot.

Gabe walked up next to him, excited and nervous all at the same time.

“It’s chicken stew. Your favorite. I got the recipe from Saint.”

Joker glanced up at him, his eyes wide with astonishment.

“You made me my favorite food?”

“Yeah,” Gabe said with a shrug. “I figured you could do with a homecooked meal after the day I’m sure you’ve had.”

Joker stared at him for a long time, making him unsure if he’d fucked up or not. He was about to apologize when Joker grabbed him, slamming his mouth over Gabe’s. His tongue pushed past Gabe’s lips, his kiss hard and full of promises. Gabe dug his fingers into Joker’s shoulders. Joker pushed him back against the counter. He put his han
ds under Gabe’s ass and lifted him up onto the countertop then stepped between Gabe’s legs.

Gabe pulled back, gasping out, “The food.”

“It can wait,” Joker said and moved his lips to Gabe’s neck.

Gabe couldn’t help himself as he tilted his head to give Joker better access. Joker kissed and nipped down Gabe’s neck, his hands sliding across Gabe’s back. Joker put his lips on Gabe’s, kissing him deeply. Gabe groaned into Joker’s mouth, then whimpered when Joker pulled back. Gabe opened his eyes to see Joker watching him with dark eyes.

  “Bedroom. Now,” Joker said.

Gabe didn’t need to be told twice. He slid off the counter and took Joker’s hand, pulling him towards the bedroom. They were kissing again before they reached it. Their tongues tangled while their hands explored the other’s body.

Joker walked him backwards until his legs hit the bed. He sat down and glanced up at Joker. The heat, the lust in Joker’s eyes made a shiver run through his body. He’d wanted Joker to look at him like that for so damned long and now that he did, it was so much better than he could’ve imagined.

Gabe crawled further onto the bed with Joker following. Joker got between Gabe’s thighs and lowered his head to press their lips together. Joker sucked Gabe’s lower lip between his teeth and bit down. Gabe’s dick jumped and he groaned into Joker’s mouth.

Joker sat back to pull off his shirt. Joker’s broad, muscular chest was nothing short of mouthwatering. He loved the dark hair covering it and the happy trail that disappeared into Joker’s jeans. He wanted to follow it with his tongue.

  “Gabe.”

He jerked his eyes up to meet Joker’s gaze.

“Clothes. Off. Now,” Joker said, his voice sounding rough.

Gabe didn’t hesitate to do as he was told. He sat up enough to pull his shirt off and threw it onto the floor. He unbuttoned his pants and pulled down the zipper. He lifted his hips to push his pants down his legs. When they reached his ankles, Joker took over, getting them the rest of the way off. Gabe glanced up, seeing that Joker had already rid himself of his clothes. Gabe licked his lips as his eyes dropped to Joker’s hard cock. He reached up to run his fingertips down Joker’s chest.

Joker wrapped his hands around Gabe’s legs and pulled, making him fall back onto the bed with a huff. He was chuckling when Joker got between his thighs, but it quickly turned into a groan when he felt Joker’s cock slide against his own.

Joker reached for Gabe’s hands, pulling them above Gabe’s head and holding them there with one hand. Heat exploded through him. He hadn’t known he liked being held down before Joker. Or maybe it was just because it was Joker. He didn’t care either way.

He bit down on his lip, his eyes falling shut as he surrendered to the pleasure. Joker thrust his hips in a slow rhythm, then he wrapped a hand around both their cocks, using their precome to ease the friction. Joker kissed a path up the side of Gabe’s neck. He soon had Gabe making sounds he didn’t know he could make.

Gabe bucked his hips, getting heady from all the delicious friction. Joker let go of Gabe’s wrists to slide his fingers into Gabe’s hair. He tugged, the sting adding to the pleasure. Then he claimed Gabe’s mouth. Gabe ran his hands over Joker’s back, the skin hot and sweaty under his fingers.

Their tongues slid together, and Gabe couldn’t stop a moan of pleasure. Joker’s strokes got harder and faster. He pulled back, his breathing hard. Gabe looked up at him. The man was simply stunning. He watched Gabe with heated blue eyes, his hair falling over his brow.

Gabe threw his head back and dug his nails into the backs of Joker’s shoulders, curses spewing from his lips. His orgasm slammed into him, leaving him breathless and trembling from the force of it.

Joker let go of Gabe’s cock and stroked himself a few more times. Joker growled his name and spilled between them, his come mixing with Gabe’s on his chest. Joker dropped onto his elbows and took Gabe’s mouth in a sweet, slow kiss that had his toes curling all over again.

Joker pulled back, smiling down at Gabe. His gaze went to Gabe’s chest. He ran a finger through the come, smearing it even more over Gabe’s chest.

  “Joker,” Gabe protested.

Joker chuckled and got up to grab the wet wipes from the nightstand. He cleaned them both up, then fell right back into bed. Gabe heated up the stew for them and then they ate in bed. Gabe had to calm himself down every time Joker moaned because of the food. The sounds in itself were enough to get him going but knowing Joker liked his food made it even harder to hold back. When they were done, they put their plates on the nightstand, neither of them wanting to get out of bed.

“I’ve never had anyone do that for me,” Joker said.

Gabe frowned at Joker. “Saint has done it.”

“He’s my best friend. He and Emery don’t count.”

“I’m not your friend?” Gabe asked, feeling confused and a bit hurt.

Joker chuckled. “Sure, but I wouldn’t exactly call us friends. Friends don’t tend to stick their tongues down each other’s throats.”

  “Right.”

He shook his head at himself, a smile pulling at his lips.

  “What’s your name?” Gabe asked.

Joker opened his mouth, but Gabe put a finger over his lips and said, “Your real name.”

When Joker looked like he wasn’t going to answer, Gabe glanced down and shook his head, saying, “You don’t have to answer. I shouldn’t have asked.”

“No,” Joker said and took Gabe’s hand, making him look up to meet his gaze. “Kerrigan. My name’s Kerrigan.”

“Kerrigan,” Gabe repeated. The name felt right. It felt like Joker. He couldn’t help but smile. “I like it.”

Joker snorted and tugged on Gabe’s arm to get him to lie down.

“Don’t you dare tell anyone that,” Joker said.

Gabe made a zipping motion across his lips. “I won’t tell.”

He felt a devious smile spread on his lips and he started moving down the bed. He got between Joker’s legs, running his hands up his thighs.

“Thank you for telling me,” he said and wrapped his fingers around Joker’s hardening cock.

A hiss escaped Joker’s lips and Gabe glanced up, meeting his gaze. He knew exactly how he was going to than Joker and it involved his tongue and mouth. If he rewarded Joker like that every time Joker told him something important, maybe he’d start sharing more often. Positive reinforcement, right?

  Chapter Nine

  Joker

HE SAT across from Stiletto and Auggie with Zayne next to him and King to his left while Sean was seated at the other end of the table.

  “We use Sean,” Joker said.

“Hey, now,” Sean protested but Joker waved him off.

“We use the fact that he’s here and that the Henchmen probably still want him, either dead or alive.” Joker leaned forward in his seat. “If they are interested in getting him, their mole will be looking for an opportunity to grab him.”

“You want to let them?” Stiletto asked, a frown forming between her eyes.

Joker shook his head. “No. Not really. We move him to a secure location, then we give out several false locations to different people and wait to see which one the Henchmen hit. At the very least, it’ll narrow down our list and the Henchmen won’t get anything out of it.”

“I can set up surveillance in all places, that way we won’t have to be there, but we can still see which one they go for,” Auggie said.

“How fast can you get it done?” King asked Auggie.

Auggie shrugged. “If I have help? A day, probably. Depending on how many locations we’re talking.”

“As many as possible,” Zayne said.

“Gabe and I can help you,” Joker said to Auggie.

“And what exactly are we supposed to tell Gabe we’re doing?” Auggie asked.

“The truth,” Joker said and glanced at King who was watching him with narrowed eyes. “I told him about the mole yesterday.

Stiletto whistled and leaned back in her chair. “Who are you and what have you done with the VP I know and love to hate?”

  “Fuck off, Stiletto.”

Stiletto chuckled and Auggie glanced down, though not before Joker caught the grin on his face.

“He did good in Washington and I know he’d love to help,” Joker said.

King nodded and said, “I trust your judgment. If you say Gabe’s ready to be more involved, I believe you. Just make sure nothing happens to my son.”

Joker gave him a curt nod. He knew he’d taken the choice of involving Gabe out of his president’s hands and he never would have done that if it’d been anyone but Gabe. But they both trusted Gabe and right then, they were short on people they could trust.

The others left, leaving him alone with Sean who’d miraculously kept quiet for most of the time. Now, though, he was watching Joker with a smug look on his face.

“Fucking the president’s son, huh?” Sean waggled his eyebrows. “I always knew you were crazy. Just not that crazy.”

  “One word—”

“Yeah. Yeah. I lose my spine,” Sean said and pushed his chair back.

Sean walked to the door then turned to raise a brow at Joker.

  “You coming or what?”

Joker cursed under his breath and stood. He made his way to the door and with a glare at Sean, he pushed past him.

  Gabe

He held the camera up, angling it towards the door. He kept moving it around until Auggie told him to stop. He held it still and waited for Joker to take over because he was the one with the tools. Joker had stepped outside to answer a call, but he’d just walked through the door and was stepping up on the small platform ladder next to Gabe. There was barely room for both of them and they ended up chest to chest. Gabe looked up at Joker and bit his lip. Joker narrowed his eyes in warning and took the camera from him. Gabe was smiling to himself as he got off the ladder.
