“You all right?” Joker asked and when Gabe nodded, he said, “Words, Baby. I need to hear it.”
“Yes,” Gabe said, his voice sounding rough. “Yes, I’m all right.”
“Good.”
Joker lowered his head and took Gabe’s mouth in a hard kiss. When Joker leaned back, they were both panting, their cocks hard and leaking. Gabe ran his eyes down Joker’s chest. He wanted to touch. Wanted to feel those muscles under his fingertips. He tried to move his hands but was pulled back by the cuffs. He let out a whimper. A wicked smile spread on Joker’s lips and Gabe feared he might come right then and there.
Joker moved down the bed and straddled Gabe’s thighs. He slid his hands over Gabe’s stomach and up his chest, his touch leaving a trail of pleasure. Joker tweaked one of Gabe’s nipples, making him jump. He groaned, wishing he could slide his fingers onto Joker’s hair and hold on, but at the same time, he was glad for the cuffs. He was certain he was getting more of the real Joker right now than he ever had before. He knew Joker had been holding back.
“Joker,” Gabe said on a gasp. “Please.”
“Please, what?”
Gabe squirmed under Joker, a whimper escaping him. Joker put his fingers to Gabe’s lips.
“Open,” Joker ordered.
Gabe didn’t hesitate to suck two of Joker’s fingers into his mouth. Joker watched him with his lip between his teeth. Gabe swirled his tongue around Joker’s fingers, getting them good and wet. Joker pulled back and held Gabe’s gaze as he reached behind himself. Gabe couldn’t see what he was doing, but his imagination didn’t have a problem filling in the blanks. Joker’s lips parted on a gasp, his eyes falling shut as he threw his head back.
Holy shit. That was a sight he never thought he’d see. A sight that threatened to send him over the edge way too soon. He clenched his hands into fists, working to calm his breathing, though it was almost impossible.
“Like what you see?” Joker asked with a glint in his eyes.
“Fuck. Yes. You drive me fucking crazy, Joker.”
Joker gave him a heated look and got off the bed. He walked to the nightstand and pulled out the drawer. When Joker crawled back onto the bed, he was holding a condom. Gabe’s pulse skyrocketed. He’d never been inside someone before. He’d had plenty of sex, but he’d never topped. Not that he didn’t want to but one guy he’d been with had refused to even entertain the idea and he’d been with the other during high school and the furthest they’d come to anal was a finger or two during a blowjob. Getting to do it with Joker was like a dream come true.
Joker tore open the packet and rolled the condom down Gabe’s rock-hard length. Gabe grabbed onto the chain between the cuffs, needing to hold something as he fought to calm himself down. Joker got back on top of Gabe and poured lube over his fingers. He wrapped a hand around Gabe’s cock, stroking it to spread out the lube.
“Fuck,” he breathed as he watched Joker get himself ready.
Joker didn’t take long. He grabbed Gabe’s cock to guide it inside, hissing when the head stretched out his hole. Joker sank onto Gabe’s cock so very slowly. The heat and tightness were overwhelming. He felt like he was about to burst. All he really wanted was to thrust, but he fought to keep still.
“Joker. Please.”
“Please what?”
Gabe met Joker’s gaze. He wore a teasing smile as he rolled his hips. Fuck.
“Please what, Gabe?”
Words. How did they work, again? Gabe hissed, tugging on the restraints as he fought to find words. The heat, the tightness around his cock short-circuited his brain.
“Kerrigan,” he gasped.
Joker groaned and leaned down, his breath skirting across Gabe’s lips as he said, “I love when you say my name.”
Gabe made a sound in the back of his throat and tried to close the gap between their mouths, but Joker pulled back, just out of reach.
“Tell me what you want, Baby,” Joker said.
Gabe stared up into Joker’s steel-blue gaze.
“You. I want you.”
The smile that spread on Joker’s face was downright sinful. He took Gabe’s mouth in a rough, desperate kiss, pushing his tongue past Gabe’s lips. Their tongues dueled, fighting for control, even though Gabe knew without a doubt that Joker was very much in charge.
Joker leaned back, his lip between his teeth as he lifted almost all the way off of Gabe’s length. Then he sank back down, hard, forcing a strangled noise out of Gabe.
“Mm, that’s it, Baby,” Joker said.
He watched Joker pleasure himself. He damned near came when he realized Joker—Joker, the VP of the Kings and his longtime crush—was riding him. Joker’s movements increased, his ass clenching around Gabe.
“Fuck. You’re gonna make me come,” Gabe gasped.
Joker leaned down, taking Gabe’s mouth in a deep kiss, his tongue sliding against Gabe’s. Joker ran his hands up Gabe’s chest, all the way to the back of his head where he fisted Gabe’s hair.
“Fuck me like I know you want to,” Joker said against his lips.
Gabe didn’t have to be told twice. He bent his legs, putting his feet on the bed and thrust up into Joker. Joker groaned into his mouth, then gasped when Gabe drove into him hard.
Joker moved back, his eyes on Gabe’s as he tweaked one of his nipples. Gabe cursed, tugging on his restraints. He wanted to do that. Wanted to touch. But at the same time, he was glad he couldn’t. He wouldn’t have gotten to see and experience this part of Joker otherwise.
Joker wrapped a hand around his cock, stroking at the same fast pace Gabe was fucking into him with.
“You feel so fucking good,” Gabe mumbled, his words barely understandable.
He slammed up into Joker, his gaze caught on the man’s face. His head was thrown back, his lips parted on a gasp. The sound of skin slapping skin mixed with their moans and labored breaths.
“Fuck. Fuck,” Joker gasped, jerking himself faster as he spurted all over Gabe’s chest.
Gabe stilled when Joker put a hand on his thigh. Joker pulled off of him and moved down the bed to get between Gabe’s legs. Joker removed the condom and took Gabe deep into his mouth. His hands slid up Gabe’s thighs. He bobbed his head a few times, then pulled off to meet Gabe’s gaze.
“Fuck my mouth, Baby.”
A whimper escaped Gabe as he dropped his head back onto the bed. He surged up into Joker’s mouth, not holding back, knowing Joker could take it. He pumped his hips a few times, then gasped as pleasure burst through his body. He came in Joker’s mouth and Joker swallowed down every drop.
Gabe collapsed back onto the bed, his eyes falling shut as he gasped for breath. Joker had ruined him for anyone else. Not that he wanted anyone but Joker. Never wanted anyone else. Only Joker.
Joker disappeared into the bathroom for a bit and came back with a wet rag to dry Gabe off with. When he was done, he threw the rag on the floor and crawled further up the bed to take the cuffs off of Gabe’s wrists.
His shoulders were a bit stiff and the cuffs had left small red marks. Nothing anyone would notice he was sure, but he’d know, and he loved that. He sat up and rubbed his wrists, the feeling a bit odd. Joker grabbed his hands, lifting one to place a kiss to the inside of Gabe’s wrist. He did the same with the other, then leaned in to put his lips on Gabe’s.
Gabe pulled back with a smile on his face and got under the blanket. Joker slid in behind him, wrapping an arm around Gabe’s middle.
“Thank you,” Joker said, his lips feathering across Gabe’s shoulder.
“For what?”
“The cuffs. Not everyone would be willing to do that.”
Gabe pulled out of Joker’s arms to turn around. Facing Joker, he laid his palm against Joker’s cheek.
“Baby, you can tie me up anytime,” Gabe said.
A wicked smile spread on Joker’s lips.
“Careful. I might take you up on that,” Joker said, running a finger down Gabe’s chest.
“Please do.”
Joker
He woke with a start, gasping for breath. He could taste the damned sand, feel it burning in his lungs. He knew it wasn’t real. Knew he wasn’t really there. But that didn’t make it any less frightening. It didn’t make it go away.
Gabe sat up and reached for him, but he shrugged him off and pulled back the blanket. He stood and with clenched fists, he walked out of the room. He went into the kitchen where he put his elbows on the countertop and rested his head in his hands. He felt Gabe walk up behind him, but he didn’t move.
“Let me help,” Gabe begged in a soft voice.
Joker shook his head. Even if he wanted Gabe’s help, he wouldn’t know what to ask of him. He pushed away from the counter and pulled out the drawer he kept his cigarettes in. He grabbed a pack and went out on the balcony. He pulled one out of the pack, putting it between his lips. He realized he hadn’t brought a lighter and turned to walk back inside for one. Gabe was standing in the doorway, a concerned look on his face. He stepped out onto the balcony and handed Joker a lighter. Joker held his gaze for a moment before lighting his cigarette.
Gabe didn’t say anything as Joker smoked, he just sat down in one of the chairs and waited. For what, he didn’t know. When the nicotine began to work its magic, Joker pulled out a chair and dropped into it.
“Are you all right? You need anything?” Gabe asked.
Joker shook his head and sighed. “I just need a moment.”
Gabe nodded and pushed his chair back. As he was about to walk past Joker, he reached out to grab Gabe’s arm. Gabe’s eyes shot up to meet Joker’s gaze.
“I didn’t mean you needed to leave.”
Gabe blinked at him, red tinting his cheeks. He sat back down. Joker slid his fingers down to Gabe’s wrist, rubbing over the slight red mark there. He loved seeing the marks he’d put on Gabe, but Gabe would have to hide them. Not that he minded that. He did like to keep his private life private. Or his sex life, as it were.
When he was done smoking, he stubbed out the cigarette in the ashtray on the table.
“I get it now,” Gabe said, making Joker glance up. “You need to feel in control—complete control—before you can let go.”
Joker sat back, not saying anything.
“Is it because of the army?”
“No. The army just made it worse,” Joker said.
Gabe nodded thoughtfully before asking, “Foster care?”
Joker gave him a curt nod. This was the last fucking thing he wanted to talk about. Especially with Gabe. He didn’t want any pity. Didn’t want Gabe to think of him like that. To look at him as if he was broken like so many others had.
Gabe reached across the small table to put a hand over Joker’s.
“I want you to know that I’ll never judge you. You can trust me, and you don’t have to pretend with me. Nothing you do or have done will ever make me think less of you,” Gabe said.
Joker stared at Gabe. What had he ever done to deserve someone like Gabe in his life? The answer was nothing. But he was going to be more selfish than he ever had before where Gabe was concerned because he didn’t want to let him go. He was going to enjoy Gabe for as long as he could keep him.
He stood and held out a hand to Gabe who took it without a second thought. He pulled Gabe to his feet and cupped his face in his hands. He placed a sweet kiss to Gabe’s lips, then led him back inside.
Chapter Twelve
Joker
HE SAT down in the chair in front of King’s desk, a shiver of trepidation rushing through his body. When King had told him to come see him, he hadn’t thought anything about it until King had mentioned that it was about Gabe. The whole ride to the clubhouse he’d run through endless amounts of scenarios in his head. Did King know about them? Did he suspect something? Maybe someone had seen them together and told King.
“Joker,” King said with an easy smile. “Thanks for coming in.”
“Sure. What’s this about?”
“I wanted to ask you about Gabe. He’s been doing good since Washington, right?”
Joker nodded and said, “He’s worked hard.”
“That’s what I thought.”
Joker tensed, unsure what King meant.
“He’s begun to prove himself. I’m very happy to see that,” King said.
Joker cocked his head to the side. “You want to know if I think he’s ready.”
It wasn’t a question, he knew that was what King wanted. King had always valued his opinion and with Joker being King’s VP, he often leaned on Joker and ran his decisions by him.
“I do,” King said.
Joker leaned back in his seat. What the hell was he supposed to say? He couldn’t exactly claim to be partial where Gabe was concerned. Did he want Gabe to become a full-patched member? Hell, yeah. Did he think he was ready? He had no idea. He wasn’t seeing Gabe as a prospect or even as King’s son anymore. He saw him as the sexy man sharing his bed each night.
“I’m not sure,” Joker said and hesitated. “It’s… I don’t know. Difficult?”
“Yeah, tell me about it,” King said with a huff of laughter. He shook his head, a smile playing on his lips. “I never really thought I’d be in this position when I founded the club, but here we are. It’s not that I don’t try to treat him like everyone else, but he’s my son. He’ll never be just another prospect to me.”
Joker bit his tongue before he could agree with King.
King put his elbows on the desk, leaning forward. “What do you suppose we do?”
“Ask Stiletto to vet him,” Joker said.
Stiletto was a safe bet. If he wasn’t ready, she wouldn’t try to sugarcoat it.
King nodded. “That sounds like a good idea.” King put his elbows on the desk and leaned forward. “Now, to the real talk.”
Joker held his breath as he waited for King to speak.
“How is Gabe? Really? We don’t see him much now that he’s moved out,” King said.
“He seems fine to me,” Joker said.
“Polly’s worried he doesn’t know what he wants to do and will decide on something on a whim.”
“I don’t think he’ll just choose whatever seems easiest. Whatever he sets his sights on doing, I’m sure he’ll succeed at and even if he gets knocked down, he’ll just pull himself right up again. He’s a Wolff after all,” Joker said with a smile on his lips.
King let out what sounded like a sigh of relief, a smile widening on his face.
“Thanks, Joker. It’s good to know I can always count on you.”
Joker gave King a sharp nod and stood. As he walked out of King’s office, he felt like shit for keeping his relationship with Gabe from King. He was under no illusion of how King would react if he found out, but not being straight with his president didn’t sit right with him. But he knew if he wanted to keep Gabe, it needed to remain a secret. At least until Gabe was patched in.
Gabe
He knocked on the door and took a step back. It wasn’t long before it was pulled open by a disheveled and sleepy-looking Nash. When he saw Gabe, a bright smile found Nash’s lips.
“Gabe,” Nash exclaimed. He waved Gabe inside where he took off his boots before following Nash into the living room. Nash and Saint’s new place was pretty sweet. There were big windows along one wall in the open kitchen, living, and dining room. The kitchen had an island with room for three barstools. There were two bedrooms and a large bathroom on the second floor. Most of the furniture was Nash’s because Zayne had left his in the apartment. The place was much bigger than Nash’s old one, so they’d had to buy a lot of new furniture which they’d, of course, roped him and Joker into helping with. Joker had been a grump until they’d put up their new sixty-five inch TV and watched a game.
“What brings you by?” Nash asked as he sat down on the couch.
Gabe took a seat in an armchair and said, “I heard you were off today, so I figured I’d just invite myself over.”
Nash let out
a laugh, shaking his head at Gabe.
“Well, I did tell you that you were always welcome,” Nash said, amusement in his eyes. His smile dimmed as he got serious. “You’re not just here to annoy me on my day off, are you?”
“No,” Gabe said on a sigh.
“Joker,” Nash guessed.
Gabe snorted. “What else could it be?”
Nash arched a brow at Gabe.
“He had a nightmare last night,” Gabe said. “I don’t want to break his confidence, but I… I’m just not sure what the hell I’m doing.”
Nash nodded slowly. “You think it’s PTSD.”
“That, too. I mean, no one returns from war unscathed, no matter what they claim.”
“True that,” Nash said.
“He finally opened up a bit. Let me see more of who he really is.”
“That’s a good thing, right?” Nash arched a brow at Gabe who nodded in response.
“It is. But it only confuses me more.”
Nash leaned forward, putting his elbows on his knees. “Because he still claims it’s just sex between you when it’s pretty damned obvious it’s a hell of a lot more than that.”
Gabe huffed, crossing his arms. “You really think so?”
“Oh, yeah. The way he looks at you? I mean, of course, there’s lust involved, but that’s definitely not all there is. I’m sorry to say it but if you were just a lay, he wouldn’t give a shit about you. But he does. He’s protective of you.”
“He’s always been like that.”
“Maybe,” Nash said. “But I’d wager the kind of protectiveness he feels over you has changed since you started screwing around. Either that, or he’s been into you since you were a teenager.”
Gabe couldn’t help his eye-roll. Joker hadn’t been interested in him when he was a rangy teenager. No way. Hell, he’d called Gabe a kid for far longer than necessary.
