“No! Jesus, no! You’re just a hard act to follow, you know?” His eyes crinkled when he grinned. “You’re setting the bar way too high for a guy like me.”
Wyatt raised his eyebrows. “I’m pretty sure you can figure out a way to make it up to me, Izzy.”
Izzy laughed, and then his expression grew more serious. “How does that work? Tonight, I mean, when you’re a girl.”
Wyatt felt a stirring of unease. “I don’t know?”
“Like, um…” Izzy out a hand on Wyatt’s knee, and then slid it up his leg, under the hem of the dress. His thumb came to rest on Wyatt’s inner thigh. “Like, what words do we use for things down there?”
Wyatt’s suddenly throbbing erection left no doubt what he was talking about. He resisted the urge to squirm and pull away. “I don’t know.”
“Because I got no problem with my girl having a dick,” Izzy said, and how did he even make a string of words like that sound sweet? “But if you do, then I can call it something else, or call it nothing at all.”
“Wh-what would you call it?”
“It could be your clit,” Izzy said. “I could suck your clit for you, baby. Suck your clit and eat you out until you come.”
A throb of desire jolted through Wyatt, and he reached down to grab Izzy’s wrist through the sun dress. For a moment he was unsure if he wanted to push his hand away…and then he pulled it closer instead, shuddering as Izzy’s knuckles brushed against his straining dick. Or…or his clit?
Fuck if he knew, but it felt so good.
“I don’t care,” he said, and moaned as Izzy’s thumb teased his length. “I don’t care, just touch me!”
Izzy got a glint in his eye, and he grinned. “Oh, baby, but don’t you want me to eat you out?”
Wyatt couldn’t fucking breathe. “Y-yeah!”
Izzy patted the table.
Wyatt stared at him blankly.
“We’ve got the place to ourselves,” Izzy said. “And you made it look so nice. Maybe this is where I want to finish my meal.”
“Holy fuck. Are you serious?” Wyatt’s brain shut down at the thought, but his dick was absolutely on board.
“You want to try?”
Wyatt looked at the table for a moment and then, before he could talk himself out of it, he stood up and moved down toward the end, so at least he’d be out of the way of the plates and the candles and the cutlery. His legs were shaky as he hitched himself up onto the table.
Izzy stood up too, his hips swinging as he moved toward Wyatt. He pulled out the nearest chair, and set it down in front of Wyatt. Sat in it, and drew Wyatt’s feet into his lap. Drew off his shoes one by one and dropped them onto the floor, and then slide his hands up Wyatt’s thighs, looking for his underwear.
Wyatt panted as he lifted his ass off the table so that Izzy could pull his underwear off.
“You might have to lie back for me, sweetheart,” Izzy said.
Wyatt did. The table wasn’t exactly comfortable, but his body was too alight with tension to even notice that. And then Izzy curled his hands around Wyatt’s ankles, and set his feet on the arms of the chair, His breath was hot on Izzy’s prickling skin as he lifted the sundress and ducked his head underneath it.
Wyatt squeezed his eyes shut, certain that if he actually looked he’d lose it way too early.
He arched off the table as Izzy pressed his mouth against his inner thigh, and Izzy caught his ass in his big hands, and pulled him closer to his mouth. Wyatt was expecting him to go for his dick, but then he felt hot breath against his taint, and the sudden, shocking lick of Izzy’s tongue.
“Oh, shit!” Wyatt’s back arched so much he thought he’d snap his spine.
“Mmm.” Izzy licked his taint again, and then his hole. “Fuck, baby. You taste good.”
Like, that couldn’t be right. It was his ass. Wyatt was pretty sure it tasted like, well, ass. But he was in no mood to argue as Izzy’s tongue lapped gently around his hole, making everything weird and wet, and then jabbed inside.
A shudder ran through Wyatt, and he reached down to pull his dress out of the way so he could get to his dick. The sight of Izzy’s head bobbing a little as he worked his tongue into Wyatt’s hole was almost more than he could handle, and Wyatt grabbed the base of his dick tightly in an attempt to stop from coming too soon.
Because, holy shit. He was lying on the dining room table, the lights from the chandelier dappling his skin, and Izzy was eating him out. This was, without a doubt, the hottest and the kinkiest thing Wyatt had ever done in his life. It felt good to be shameless.
Izzy pulled back for a moment. “Come on, sweetheart. Make yourself come for me.”
Wyatt arched off the table as Izzy worked his tongue inside him again. He jerked himself off. The first few strokes were dry, but his dick was leaking so hard that it didn’t take long for everything to get slick. He was coming before he even knew it, jackknifing off the table and crying out as he painted his torso with cum.
And then Izzy was tugging him gently forward onto the chair, so that Wyatt was straddling his lap.
“Oh, fuck, baby.” Izzy nuzzled his sweaty temple. “That was so hot.”
Wyatt, too busy trying to get his breath back, could only nod.

They ate cupcakes in the bathtub, and Wyatt flushed as Izzy moaned with delight.
“This one’s my favorite,” he announced, licking cream cheese frosting off his fingers. “This red one.”
“You said that about the last one,” Wyatt laughed, leaning back against Izzy’s chest.
Izzy grinned down at him. “The last one was my favorite too.”
Wyatt reached awkwardly for the plate of cupcakes sitting on the hamper they’d dragged over to use as a table. “Try the funfetti.”
Izzy took a bite. “No, this one. This one is definitely my favorite. Jesus, when you start selling these, you’ll make a killing.”
Wyatt wrinkled his nose. “Maybe.”
“You will,” Izzy said. “They’re amazing.”
“They’re not as fancy as a lot of cupcakes.”
Izzy shifted slightly, the movement sending waves against the sides of the tub. “Most of those are gross. You have to scrape the frosting off to even eat them.”
“That’s what I think too!” Wyatt settled back against Izzy and closed his eyes. “I want to get a place, probably in Yucaipa. But I don’t know how much it would cost to fit out a bakery. And I don’t know if I could get a loan. And I don’t know if—”
“Then find out,” Izzy said. “And I’ll bet your dad knows that stuff, right? Or knows people who do. Maybe he’d even go guarantor on the loan. I mean, I don’t know much about your family yet, Wy, but I do know they won’t even let me fail, and they barely fucking like me.”
“Lettie likes you.”
“Yeah, but she’s not the one I need to like me.” Izzy huffed, but he was smiling. “Anyway, she’s not going to like me for much longer if we don’t eventually get out of this bath and feed her dogs.”
Wyatt nodded and made to sit up.
Izzy pulled him back, and put an arm around him. “But not before I try one more cupcake.”
Wyatt laughed and picked one for him.
Chapter 22
Izzy was so fucking in love with his boyfriend who was occasionally his girlfriend and sometimes somewhere in between.
He’d realized that being with Wyatt made him a better person, and Wyatt had told him being with Izzy made him a braver one. He couldn’t fault either of them for that, now could he.
Since he was making money and not using much of it, Izzy went online to find something nice to get for Wyatt. He’d always been like that, getting his loved ones presents, because for him, it was a way to show how much he cared and paid attention. He’d bought his mom and dad things with his allowance back when he was little, and sometimes he got candy for a friend instead of himself.
Now that he had a new family—of sorts, Justin was still…J
ustin, the others were more welcoming though—his brain was getting to that mindset again.
Naturally, he’d started with Wyatt. He’d been online for a while before he caved and sent Harper a text.
I want to buy something special for Wyatt. Thoughts?
It took her a few minutes to reply, and when she did, the message made him frown.
Yes. But what level are we talking? Because I have some good ones, but they might be too much.
Money-wise?
No. Getting the idea from his sister-wise. Before Izzy could ask what she meant, she sent another message: I’m talking sexy things, Izzy.
Oh. Oh. Well…Izzy swallowed hard and thought for a bit. Then he texted Harper back and got a few links in return. After he’d opened the first one, she sent a text: With his skin tone, I recommend the blue one.
Half an hour later, Izzy had a virtual shopping basket filled with stuff he needed to weed out before he ordered anything and a very inconvenient erection he didn’t want to think about, mostly because this was all Harper’s doing. Damn it.

The next week was busy, and somehow Izzy forgot all about his order. They had so much to do with Del making preparations to leave within a few weeks’ time, and Justin wanting to go over all possible disaster scenarios for his business so he could go with him.
The whole family—Izzy included—were very accommodating and trying to make sure all of Justin’s worries would be assuaged before he had to leave. The workers stepped up too—again, Izzy included—and they had a good tentative system going for all sorts of things.
Wyatt and Izzy would move to the Abbots’ house for the duration of Justin’s absence so that there were adults around for Lettie and her dogs’ needs.
One Sunday, Izzy came to the house to find Del in the kitchen with none of the other family around.
“Hey, Izzy, can you hand me those mushrooms?” he asked over his shoulders and pointed with a large knife toward the island.
“Hi, sure,” Izzy went to pick up the container and brought it to Del’s cutting board. “What are you making?”
“Oh, just pizza. It’s easy and everyone can fill their own as they wish. I’m just prepping everything so it’s easiest.”
“Can I help with anything?” Izzy asked automatically, like he always did, no matter who was cooking.
“Do you mind grating cheese?”
“Depends on how stinky it is,” he replied in a teasing tone, which made Del chuckle.
“Not too stinky.”
Once Izzy had washed his hands and was sitting by the island grating cheese, Del cleared his throat.
“When we leave, you know Justin is going to be a wreck, right?”
“Oh yeah,” Izzy admitted. He’d seen the tension around Justin’s eyes and mouth every time he tried to enjoy making plans for Del and his trip.
“So here’s the thing. You’ll be the adult in charge here while we’re gone.”
Izzy nearly grated his fingertip off. “What?”
“You’re the oldest. You have the most life experience. I’m not saying Wyatt isn’t an adult, but he’s still naïve and inexperienced.”
“Okay…?”
“And Lettie, well, you know Lettie.” Del smiled lovingly. “She’s amazing, but she’s also very black and white in her thinking.”
“Right.” Izzy started to grate the humongous block of cheese again.
“So if something happens or some decision needs to be made that would be something Justin or I would handle, it’s your job. If you’re unsure and there’s time, you call us first.”
He had to stop grating then, because he felt choked up. “A-are you sure you want to put that responsibility into my hands? Wouldn’t there be someone e-else? Better suited? More…reliable?”
Del stopped what he was doing and turned to peer at Izzy who was trying to hide from Del’s gaze.
“Izzy, I’m trusting you with my son’s heart. His well-being. My kids are my everything. If I’m trusting them to your care, don’t you think you’ve earned that trust already?” Del closed the gap between the counter and the island and put his hand on Izzy’s shoulder. “Look, I know Justin is…He can be a tough nut to crack when it comes to family. I don’t know how much Wyatt’s told you, but the situation they grew up in, it was…” Del turned his head and sighed. When he looked back at Izzy, there were tears in his eyes. “Justin grew up in a drug den. Then he managed to get away. Their mom dying meant going back to that place to try and save his siblings. Nobody knows better what it was like to not have any safety growing up. Nobody knows more of that than Justin, because he lived it. He’s so damn determined that the kids don’t have to face any part of that life ever again, that he’s become almost too strict about some aspects of it all.”
“Like the weed.”
“Yes, like the weed. Alcohol is the same. In this family, nobody smokes weed and we only have a glass of wine or a bottle of beer sometimes, because the fears Justin has are in his psyche, and no amount of therapy will fully clear it.” Del had pulled his hand off Izzy, but now put it back and squeezed. “Who do you think he wants to protect more, himself or his siblings?”
Izzy nodded. “He’s overprotective because he’s seen what it can do.”
“Yes. I’ve never had that sort of experience with life. My family didn’t have those issues.” Del turned away and went back to chopping something. “What I’m saying is this: I trust you with my family, because you’re more like Justin than you think, and that’s exactly why he can’t let go of his own prejudices.”
Izzy finally understood. “He sees in me what he escaped. I’m what he could’ve become, if things had gone differently.”
“Bingo.”
Izzy hadn’t thought of it like that, but maybe he understood everything better now. They quietly prepared more of the pizza toppings and Del asked him to tell his opinion about the tomato sauce he had simmering, and it felt so achingly domestic it was almost too much, but not quite.

Couple of days later, the package arrived. It was waiting on the trailer porch when Izzy got home from work. To his utter surprise, Sam, who’d had a day off smirked at him.
Izzy frowned. “What?”
“I know what’s in that package.”
Izzy flushed red. Then he swallowed the “it’s not for me” that wanted to bubble out. There was nothing to be embarrassed about.
“I know because a friend of mine orders stuff from there, too,” Sam clarified. “So I take it I should clear out for tonight, maybe?”
Izzy scratched his scruffy cheek and nodded. “If it’s not too much to ask. I know it’s a work night, but…”
“Hey, I don’t want Wyatt to feel nervous about me barging in. So I’ll go stay at Patty’s in town or something. It’ll be fine.”
“I need to figure out how to pay you back somehow.”
“No, you don’t. This is what friendships are supposed to be like, man. Just…get me an Amazon gift card for Christmas or something.”
“Will do.” Izzy felt grateful as hell. He just hoped Wyatt would like his presents.
Wyatt arrived after Sam had left. He was carrying some food with him—apparently Del had gone on a stress-cooking spree again—and they had dinner first.
“Okay, Izzy, what’s going on? You’re making me nervous.”
Izzy put away the dish towel and turned around. “There’s a box on my bed. It’s for you, but I don’t know how you’ll react, so…I guess I’m nervous.”
Wyatt tilted his head. He was having a somewhere-in-between day today from what Izzy could tell.
“Okay. Do I bring it here?”
“I guess it would be easiest, yeah.”
While Izzy made sure there was room on the table, Wyatt got the box. Izzy gave him scissors to cut through the tape. Before he could open the flaps, Izzy put his hand over Wyatt’s.
“I just…if you don’t like it, I’ll understand. I…”
“Hey, whatever it is, I know you’d never intentionally hurt me.” Wyatt leaned in to kiss him, then pulled his hand under from Izzy’s and opened the flaps.
Izzy felt a bit dizzy as he sat on the other side of the small dinner table and watched Wyatt pull out several pieces of—”Is this lingerie?”
Izzy cleared his throat. “Y-yeah.” When Wyatt didn’t comment immediately, he pushed onwards. “There’s something for boy you, if you want it. And something for the middle days, like now. But…but there’s also something for the girl.”
Wyatt nodded slowly and began to open the separate pieces.
The floral nightie that was pale blue with red flowers and trim with spaghetti straps was for the girl. There were panties that matched, just ones that were meant for people with more in the front when it came to the crotch department.
“She likes this,” Wyatt whispered as he stroked the silky garments.
Then he moved onto the blue nightie that was simpler, more masculine, yet still clearly lingerie. This time the panties had more lace and these were mesh ones. Wyatt blushed. He put them to the side. “This is the in-between day set, right?”
He glanced at Izzy, but his eyes gave nothing away. Izzy nodded, and Wyatt went back to the box.
The boy set was simpler, yet still luxurious. The top was a T-shirt in dark pink, and the boy shorts were black with small amount of lace around the waist.
Again, Izzy cleared his throat that felt a bit tight. “Th-there were bra and panty sets. I thought, if you liked these, we could order her some. When it’s a g-girl day, so she can pick for herself.”
Wyatt turned to look at him, stroking the satin T-shirt between his fingers, and smiled. “I think she’d like that.”
The tension went out of Izzy in a whoosh. “Okay, good.”
“You were really scared, weren’t you?” Wyatt reached over the table to grab his hand.
“I…I thought I might be overstepping a bit.”
Wyatt looked at the pile of delicate fabrics on the table. “How did you get the colors so right?”
“Well, that’s a funny story, actually…”

One evening, a week before Del and Justin were leaving, everyone was called together for a family dinner. Harper had to miss it of course, but she’d apparently told Del she trusted him with whatever it was and to call her mid-dinner if need be. She refused to be left out of any family business from now on.
