Dwandv:: The Battle for the Gate Page 8

by Dinkar Goswami

Gerua only had to look at any of the immortal’s sculpture and the words began to appear in her mind in the language of her thoughts, detailing out accurately any information she desired about that particular immortal. She could privately hear the narration in her mind. The roof of the inner ashram was full of star maps and astronomic alignments that Gerua did not understand. She would learn that the walls and roof of the ashram could change to give her access to any information she required on any subject if she willed it so. The ashram concealed the knowledge of the universe within its walls and roof, much like a mega super brain.

At the far end of the inner ashram, appearing well beyond the translucent walls, there was what appeared to be a huge eye, with two smaller eyes on the sides. The smaller eyes were two feet in length each, and the larger eye in the center was about twenty feet in diameter. It was round and open, much like a fish’s eye, with a bright pupil in the center. The smaller eyes glowed during the day and were perceptibly darker at night.

She noticed that the eyes were in a slightly recessed area, and on both sides of the horizontally set eyes were two massive visible doors. Gerua would learn much later that they were storage areas for miraculous technology and that the ashram extended well behind into the mountain too.

The peripheral ashram, which led to the area outside on the mountain, was a beautiful garden where wonderful flowers, shrubs, and small trees grew on beautiful grass-covered areas. Two stylish gazebos carved of the mountain rock stood in the far corners of the garden. There was no door to exit and enter the ashram. Gerua would learn later that there was an invisible doorway, which was covered with snow outside, making the ashram invisible.

The peripheral ashram had a pathway from the bridge to the far end of the peripheral ashram wall in the center with intricately carved obelisks on both sides. Sculptures adorned the sidewalls, depicting magnificent beings from different worlds. Alongside the sculptures of these beings were carvings of mythical animals and creatures that Gerua had only heard about but had never seen.

The roof of the peripheral ashram was engraved to depict a beautiful palace connected to a city with a corridor lined with hundreds of pillars on either side. The pillars could be seen from any angle. All Gerua had to do was desire to see the corridor in a particular manner or the other, and the image would rotate or magnify. She could see each pillar separately by simply thinking about it. There were pictures of Deva and the Asura engaged in a battle on the walls of the peripheral ashram with weapons and machines Gerua did not know or recognize. She saw Master Shalya and realized that he was performing some sort of a mudra, or a hand form, somewhat like what she had seen in martial arts movies. He paused and approached her, stepping on to the stone floor on the sides, on which Gerua was standing.

“Namaste,” said Gerua, clasping her palms together in front of her chest, fingers pointing to the sky in the customary facilitation. “Thank you so much for saving me. Master Tara has taken really good care of me, and I am surprised I am healing so fast. Could you please tell me where am I exactly? And why did you bring me here?” She recalled being told that she had found yoga and was on the roof of the world.

Master Shalya smiled kindly. “Child, as I told you earlier, you are in the uppermost Himalayas, around twenty-six thousand feet above sea level. We have been waiting for you. We brought you here so that you could recover and fulfill your calling. The mountains told us of your arrival on the Himalayas.”

“Twenty-six thousand feet!? How can I breathe normally? And the mountain range... it is inanimate. How can it tell you anything?” Gerua asked, mystified. She recalled that great yogis live in the peaks of the Himalayas in secrecy and seclusion. Apparently, finding them was supposed to be impossible.

“The mountains move, tremble, thunder, grow, and change. The range covers itself and cleans itself. It also consumes. It is very alive. When you have lived as long as I have, you learn to listen and understand. As for breathing, like I said, the environment here is controlled. If you step out of the ashram, you won’t be able to breathe yet. But you can learn to breathe even at these heights. I urge you to stay here so that you can understand your calling. We will help you understand your child’s full potential. However, if you wish to leave, we can make arrangements. The choice to bring you here was ours, but the choice to stay or leave must be yours.”

Gerua was a little apprehensive; the loss of Kally was still causing her a lot of mental and emotional anguish. Nonetheless, since she had been in this ashram, she had felt a sense of peace and serenity. Then there was the baby. The masters knew something about the baby, and she wanted to know what it was. She had even started feeling that she had perhaps been too harsh to Tony and hoped he was well and had managed to climb back down, especially since he was the father of her child. Kally would have wanted her to stay. She owed it to Kally, and there was nothing to go back to. She had found yog. Now she was curious to find out her calling. She had seen the power of Master Tara’s healing skills.

“You have been very kind to me. This is an amazing place with amazing people, and I am curious to know about my calling.” Gerua smiled enchantingly. “I will stay.” Master Shalya smiled back, nodding in approval.

  CHAPTER 11

  INSIGHT

As soon as Gerua was well enough, Master Shalya taught her a yogic super energy lock, the Maha Bandha, that enabled her to harness and channelize energy at will. Day after day, Gerua would practice breathing exercises and do meditation in the Maha Bandha. She learned to hold herself in the super energy lock, as she balanced her mind and energy flow.

Master Shalya said to her, “Mastery of mudra and the bandha are essential to the mastery of yog. With the mastery of mudra and bandha, you can channel and direct energy to any part of your body, including certain blocked parts. The mastery enables you to magnify the energy multiple times, releasing it in a controlled manner with remarkable effect and as desired. The energy can be in the form of spiritual, mental, physical, or electrical energy produced by the body.

“Mudra enables you to apply gentle pressure on nerve centers setting up energy links within the body and manage the energy flow. Mudras are also used in traditional dance forms and martial arts. Mudras are based on the five main elements that are manipulated in proper proportion and settings such as movement, temperature, light and pressure to make life on planets such as Earth. These elements are earth, water, air, fire, and ether. Mudras help you balance these five elements in your body and engage the god particle in you, your soul. Those that understand and master advanced mudra have an enlarged god particle with great spiritual, mental, and physical energy. You must master them.”

As Gerua began to master the practice of mudra, breathing and meditation techniques, changes began in her mind and body.

She became conscious of her seven energy centers, the chakras residing in her spinal column and brain. Control of chakras would enable Gerua to regulate her life force and also give her control over elements that constitute her body and more.

Under the tutelage of Master Shalya, Gerua would learn to open her chakras at will and consequently to monitor, control, and regulate the functions of her body, mind, and spirit. She would learn the science behind the chakras and how the chakras were connected to the higher centers of her intellect as well as her consciousness.

Master Shalya initially focused on guiding Gerua how to awaken two of her chakras, the root and the sacral chakras. The root chakra, when awakened, would provide her with immense energy and balance to her body and give her great dynamic power. An awakened sacral chakra would enable her to consciously eliminate all toxins, waste, and useless materials from her body. It would also enable her to improve reproduction of cells and help her with a smooth pregnancy.

As her consciousness developed exponentially, Gerua learned to consciously access parts of her brain and intellect she had never known existed. She improved her control over the functions of her body, especially her organs. She learned how to consciou
sly reduce inflammation and how to improve body functions like cell replacement, reproduction, restoration, spirit augmentation, and mental resolve, setting herself on a course to becoming a master yogini.

One day, Master Shalya and Gerua sat facing each other in a lotus position, meditating. When they finished, Master Shalya shared important information with Gerua. “Gerua, Master Tara has informed me that soon you will be giving birth to a healthy baby boy.”

“How does Master Tara know I am going to give birth to a boy?”

“Master Tara is aware about all your body functions. She can look into your body and see your energy flow, and I suspect even your neurons firing. She can tell by looking at a person about their yogic skill level and their potential, what they are capable of achieving. She can perform miracles on a human body and cure almost anything. She has chosen this ability to be one of her key paranormal yogic powers called siddhi, although she has many more. We cannot question her judgment and skill in this regard.” Master Shalya smiled kindly as he always did.

“Master Shalya, I know what siddhi is in theory. But I thought siddhi was a myth and was unachievable. But if Master Tara has siddhi, why doesn’t she use her knowledge to help mankind?” Gerua was stunned.

“Siddhi is real and achievable. And your question is pertinent. I am glad you asked. Master Tara has attained many siddhi, including the ability to alter a person’s genetic structure. Can you imagine what that could lead to? Great power must be withheld, not necessarily used. Siddhi should only be used when it can be contained and never to satisfy one’s ego. At best, it should be used only in the presence of others who also have attained siddhi and share similar moral belief. The objective is to completely let go of one’s ego. If she were to help mankind, she would have to do so without considering individual nature, and she would have to cure and help both, the good and the evil. This could alter the course of history. Hence she contains her siddhi and strives only to attain union with the Universal Consciousness. She seeks to become the universe itself.

“Coming back to the child you are going to have, if our calculation is correct, at the age of five years, your son and you will be required to leave the ashram to undertake a quest. You will seek an elusive gate to a realm where your son will receive the complete Vital Knowledge of yog. If you find this gate, your son will learn to control and use siddhi without running the risk of being consumed by the enormous power that will manifest in him. He will learn to forego the desire to feed his own ego by the use of siddhi. For now, our objective is to equip you with the necessary skills to achieve this goal of finding the gate. This gate can traverse space and time. It can be anywhere at any time. It can also change shape. Hence, no one can describe it. So please remain focused and learn all the skills we teach you so that you can fulfill your vocation. We will talk more about this journey in the days to come. There is plenty of time.”

Master Shalya smiled, said namaste, and left. Under the tutelage of Master Shalya, Gerua learned to focus on nourishing the child inside her womb. As the child grew in her womb, she began to feel immense love and adoration for the baby and, consequently, her own life. She sometimes wished that Tony and Kally could have been with her to witness the birth of their son. She had learned to think of Kally as she had lived and remembered the good times she had with her. Her sense of betrayal and anger had all but vanished; instead, she now fondly remembered Tony with love in her heart. She hoped that he was well, and one day, she wanted Tony to meet their boy. She felt nothing for KK. No hate or anger, no desire for vengeance, nothing at all.

There was one thought though that she vowed to never forget. She would find out whatever or whoever had taken Kally and what had really happened on that fateful day months ago. She kept this thought alive deep within the recesses of her brilliant mind without letting it obstruct her in any manner. Just as Master Shalya had instructed her, Gerua focused on improving her skills and, most importantly, the development and delivery of her baby boy.

Master Shalya had planned that after the birth of her boy, he would teach Gerua how to stir other chakras. The stirring of the solar plexus chakra would give her control over the functions of heart and lungs, making her immune to the pains of loss and improving her capacity to utilize air properly. It would help her balance truth, love, compassion, and generosity. Her heart chakra would help her with the removal of all toxicity from her body while breathing, as well as purifying her psyche and mind.

In due course, Master Shalya tutored her how to gain control over all the functions of her human life. Gerua would undergo metamorphosis in her physical body, nervous system, and spirit. She would gain immense clarity of vision and high thinking with no thoughts of fear, hate, anger, or weakness. Master Shalya intended the fetus in her womb to also learn everything its mother knew. Master Tara would ensure this.

About nine months after Gerua arrived at the ashram, just as she was discovering her telepathic powers, Gerua gave birth to a baby boy. The yogis in the ashram came one by one to see and bless the boy. The masters were filled with a sense of bliss.

He was born under a rare astronomical alignment as carved on the roof of her dwelling unit. Master Shalya, together with other masters, performed an elaborate ceremony during his birth. Then he blessed the boy with holy water from the origin of the river Ganges and named him Danta.

Under the same alignment as Danta was born, many thousand years ago, a birth had taken place, birth of a child who had removed tyranny and who was destined to be revered till the end of time.

The mountain people buzzed with excitement, even though they did not know of the revelation at the ashram. With the spread of the sinister affliction that was plaguing them, they believed that a savior who was a paragon of virtue and indomitable spirit would be born once again under this same alignment. Only the mythical beings that directly interacted with the masters knew of the revelation at the ashram and rejoiced at Danta’s arrival. Other mortal mountain people knew only of the celestial alignment and hoped that their paragon would emerge.

  CHAPTER 12

  PARAGON

Danta was an exceptional child. He was unusually alert with a superb memory and the ability to learn things quickly. He was especially good at understanding languages and sounds, as well as distinguishing right from wrong. He was able to understand and converse with most beings. He enjoyed difficult, abstract problems and solved them effortlessly. He had a great sense of justice and righteousness. His attention span and intense concentration was amazing, and his emotional quotient was extremely high.

Danta began crawling at six months and walking when he was merely nine months old. He had learned to comprehend words even before he learned how to walk. By fifteen months, he was reading and writing and solving mathematical problems, and he was able to do most yog asana. His physical abilities were astonishing.

Danta adored his mother. As instructed by Master Shalya, Gerua started Danta’s education with basic mudras and basic yoga and meditation. She found that Danta was a naturally gifted yogi. The earliest exercises Danta learned from his mother were the mudras, just as Gerua had learned from Master Shalya. He would imitate his mother as she made simple finger gestures while sitting in a lotus position. By the age of two, Danta had mastered most of the mudras as well as the bandha. He performed pranayama breathing technique perfectly, and his focus was immense.

Gerua knew that what Master Shalya had told her was true and Danta was going to be a great yogi. At his current pace of learning, he would surpass her soon. Danta knew things that no one had taught him, things she did not even know. Gerua had also seen him secretly talking to someone or something in a language she did not understand. Gerua was worried that the manifestation of siddhi might expose Danta. Gerua had to speak to Master Shalya. “Danta is speaking to someone or something I cannot see or hear. He seems to know things no one has taught him.” “I am aware of that,” said Master Shalya, smiling.

“But this is not someone in the ashram.” Gerua wa
s worried and anxious. “You told me that the use of siddhi emits electromagnetic auratic waves called EARE. Danta’s EARE could be traversing the safety of the ashram?”

“My dear Gerua, many children manifest siddhi in their infancy. This is called karmic siddhi. No one takes notice. Usually, these powers disappear as they age, though this will not be the case with Danta. EARE are emitted when siddhi is abused and used overtly to satisfy the ego without control, and when untold collateral damage or consequences occur. Besides, the EARE cannot traverse the ashram walls.

“Master Iku and I have been tutoring Danta how to contain his powers, and Danta understands the need of not to use his siddhi overtly. So please be assured for now, Danta is safe. But you must focus on your training. Master Iku will instruct you and Danta in martial arts.” They looked around and saw Master Iku practicing a Kalaripayattu, the deadly South Indian martial art.

Master Shalya gestured, and Master Iku approached Gerua and Danta. Master Iku looked like a Masai warrior, dark, tall, thin, and sinewy. He was Gerua’s body management and martial arts guru. He had been an elemental, now turned yogi. Possessing intricate knowledge of all mortal and paranormal as well as organic and inorganic creatures’ weaknesses, vital points, techniques, and deceptions, he was adept at the art of war. He wore a simple white tunic and loose trousers. And despite his extreme skills, Master Iku’s childlike demeanor appealed to Danta, and they were close companions.
