Blasius had a very heavy heart as he flew towards his estate. He wanted to share his sorrow with his wife, who’d stood beside him in all kinds of times, but knew he couldn’t share this news with her as the safety of their children was at risk.

It didn’t take long for Blasius to reach home. He immediately put on a happy expression before landing in front of the main door of his estate. Alexis and Emilia had already appeared there the moment they sensed his presence, as they were quite concerned about Blasius being called by the Administrative Department officials at such short notice.

“Dear, why were you called by the officials of the Administrative Department?” Alexis asked with a smile on her face. She assumed from Blasius smiling expression that there was nothing of note about it.

“It had something to do with the last batch of weapons that we sold to the Administrative Department. They’ll be sending back a few of them they’d discovered faults in by evening,” Blasius said while maintaining his smile. His acting was so good that Alexis and Emilia didn’t see the upheaval in his heart.

“I was unnecessarily getting worried,” Alexis said with a laugh. Emilia also sighed with relief after hearing Blasius’s words.

“Let’s head inside. I will tell you everything in detail,” Blasius said. Alexis and Emilia nodded their heads in agreement as they headed towards the Living room with him.

Blasius narrated the story to Alexis and Emilia that he had cooked up on his way back home. They listened to him with great interest. It was so fool-proof that Alexis and Emilia didn’t spot a single fault.

“I will head to the smithy to create replacements for those weapons,” Blasius said after narrating his cooked-up story. He was having a hard time facing his wife and daughter, while he was hiding from them the tragedy that had befallen Shawn and his brothers.

“OK dear,” Alexis said with a bright smile on her face.

“Father don’t over work yourself,” Emilia added with a smile on her face.

Blasius just nodded his head with a smile fixed onto his face, following which he headed towards his smithy. Emilia and Alexis returned to their respective Cultivation chambers to continue cultivating Elemental Laws. They’d ended their Cultivation sessions early as they were concerned about him. Now, they had nothing to worry about and could whole heartedly concentrate on cultivating Elemental Laws.

All of Demon Continent was shrouded in a strange calmness and silence which made every demon there feel uneasy. All the demon factions were getting ready for a probable clash with a demon that was supposedly evolving into an Oblivion Demon within the valley of Green Highlands before the arrival of powerful demons from the Main branches of the different demon factions on Grandura.

Isa had no idea about the situation that was developing because of his Baleful aura. He’d covered the entire valley in his Baleful aura to make sure that no one disturbed him, but things hadn’t gone as he’d planned. He was still in a deep Cultivation state as he slowly and steadily tried to take the finally step and advance his Cultivation Level to Celestial Realm. The valley in which he was cultivating had been sealed a number of times by different factions using different kinds of powerful Sealing Artifacts, even though it had already been sealed by Liam previously using Divine Beast Pillars. They didn’t want to take any kind of risk.

At that moment, the entire valley looked no different from a war zone as billions of Immortal Realm Demons were currently present there all ready to stab Isa’s heart.

Noah, on the other hand, was currently in the arms of his mother and telling her about the things that he’d previously told Liam. He still had no intention of believing Liam that the demon in Green Highlands was dangerous. He was trying to convince his mother that it was a good demon and that she should help him. Rashmi being a mother listened to Noah without interrupting, unlike Liam, and patted him every now and then. Noah was Rashmi’s first child so her excessive doting nature can be understood.

“Noah, listen to your Grandpa Liam. He will never give you wrong advice. He was sent by the Main branch just to take care for you. Grandpa Liam has had to forgo his own Cultivation just to be here for you,” Rashmi said as she patted Noah and patiently tried to reason with him. She had full faith in the conclusion that Liam had reached about the demon in the valley of Green Highlands. As a result, her heart was unsettled as she was deeply worried about Noah’s safety. She’d been keeping Noah by her side from the moment she came to know from Liam about the things that Noah told him.

“Mother even you are siding with Grandpa Liam,” Noah said as he teared up a little and looked at Rashmi with pitiably, as he was certain that the demon in the valley of Green Highlands was a good demon. Rashmi’s heart ached on seeing him tearing up.

“I will ask Grandpa Liam to reconsider the matter and let you go and meet the demon,” Rashmi finally said, which immediately brought a smile to Noah’s face.

“Thanks Mother. I am certain that Demon is not bad like Grandpa Liam is saying,” Noah said as he gave Rashmi a big hug, which made a smile appear on Rashmi’s face, but deep down she was now even more determined to keep Noah away from Green Highlands.

Rashmi’s expression suddenly changed. She felt a very sinister and ominous aura from all sides of Heavenly Demon City following which she felt her strength decrease by a notch. It was not just her but everyone within Heavenly Demon City had felt the ominous aura and decrease in their strength. Noah was no different.

“Mother, I don’t feel good,” Noah said in an angry manner, as he felt the very creepy sensation of someone secretly probing his body as well as decreasing in his strength. Because of his Original-grade bloodline purity, Noah’s senses were far better than Rashmi’s, even though he was still in Early Immortal Elite Realm. He was already able to sense the owner of this sinister and ominous aura and he could also tell that the being was even stronger than Liam. That fact scared him, as he’d never seen or met anyone stronger than Liam, so he couldn’t imagine how that being could be defeated. It was natural that he felt a little scared and then shared his thoughts with Rashmi, which made her expression turn ghastly.

Rashmi turned into a blur before disappearing from the room and appearing high up in the sky above the Royal Palace with Noah still in her arms. Rashmi had a dumbstruck expression as she looked on all sides of Heavenly Demon City. The sky above the city had turned blood-red and the entire Heavenly Demon City was surrounded by a Blood-red fog. The blood-red fog was the source of that sinister and ominous aura, as well the reason for the sudden decrease in the strength of all demons within Heavenly Demon City. The Blood-red fog was currently attacking the barrier around the Heavenly Demon City with its corrosiveness. The barrier was holding, but it was leading to a rapid depletion of the energy source that sustained the barrier.

The sudden appearance of the Blood-red fog had caused a great uproar amongst the demons as they’d all felt similar sensations to Rashmi and Noah. Some demons decided to flee from the city by tearing through the Blood-red fog using brute strength, but the Blood-red fog was like a living entity and immediately attacked them by enveloping them the moment they were out of the city’s barrier. The Blood-red fog started to devour them slowly and steadily, thoroughly torturing them in the process.

  “Argh!”

  “Please save me!”

  “I don’t want to die!”

The demons enveloped by the Blood-red fog were all in Mortal and Immortal Realms. They wailed in pain as they were slowly and steadily devoured. Their blood-curdling screams stopped any other demons from attempting something similar. The demons that tried to save them had a similar end too. So, all the demons were now staring at the Blood-red fog with fear, while the ones trapped in it were being slowly and steadily devoured right in front of their eyes. Soon their gazes moved towards the Royal Palace above which a number of figures had appeared, and hopeful expressions appeared on their faces. Those figures were none ot
her than Rashmi, Noah and other members of the Royal Family, who were hovering beside Rashmi and Noah as they looked at the entire scene of the Blood-red fog devouring the demons with appalled expressions.

“It seems that a powerful being has trapped us in its Domain,” one of the members of the Royal Family, a Scaled Demon, said as he looked up into the sky in a concerned manner. Scaled Demons are huge humanoid demons, whose entire bodies are covered with blue scales. They have a head quite like a reptile’s and a long tail. They are well-known for their terrifying strength and close-combat abilities.

The Scaled Demon and others were certain that their opponent had a Cultivation Level of at least Late Immortal Saint Realm due to the sheer size of the Domain which encompassed their city. Such a feat is not possible for a being, if it doesn’t have Late Immortal Saint Realm Cultivation Level.

“This Domain is too abnormal. I have never encountered any being that possesses such a Domain in my entire life,” another member of the Royal Family, a Redback Demon, said with a disheartened expression.

“How long can the barrier protect all of us?” someone amongst them, a Spider Demon, couldn’t help but ask. She had the upper body of a human but the lower body of a spider. Spider Demons are well-known for their toxicity. She knew, like all the others, that the only reason all the demons of Heavenly Demon City were still alive was due to the barrier around the city. All the demons in Heavenly Demon City would die the moment the Blood-red fog engulfed the city after breaking through the barrier.

“No idea!! Were you able to contact King Nox and the others?” another member of the Royal Family said, which made the everyone’s expressions become even more dismayed. He was a Redback Demon. The fact that they were unable to contact the outside world scared them. They just hoped that someone outside the city would detect the problem and report it to Nox and company, who were currently in Green Highlands with a majority of the forces of the Twilight Demon Kingdom. They had no idea that beings outside the city would never see anything odd about the city as the entire city had been shrouded in an illusion, which made it impossible for anyone outside the city to see the Blood-red fog surrounding it.

“He or she will be attacking soon, so get ready to fight. I am certain that the attacker doesn’t intend to just trap us,” Rashmi said as a determined expression appeared on her face. She had a hunch that the attacker had come here specifically for Noah.

Rashmi removed the necklace from around her neck. It had belonged to her mother who had given it to her on the day of her marriage. It had been given to her mother by her father as a token of love. Rashmi had never met her father and her mother didn’t like talking about him. The things that she knew about her father were mostly from other relatives and most of the things weren’t good. The necklace was a Spatial artifact and could teleport the wearer to a desired location even if that being was surrounded by a number of barriers or anything similar.

“Noah, listen to me carefully. I am sending you to your father and Grandpa Liam. Tell them about everything that is happening here and ask them to come here quickly to help,” Rashmi said as she put the necklace around Noah’s neck. The other members of the Royal Family also agreed with Rashmi’s decision. They’d also come to similar conclusion and there was also a chance that the attacker might not so conscientiously attack the city if Noah was no longer here.

“Mother, I won’t go without you!” Noah protested, but he was covered in a blinding white light following which he disappeared from her arms.

  “Where is that brat!!!!”

Instantly an angry male roar came from outside the city and a cloaked figure about ten meters tall appeared within the Blood-red fog. The figure’s entire body was hidden under the cloak, except for his ice-cold blue eyes that were shining with great brilliance.

Rashmi and the rest looked at the cloaked figure cautiously as they discussed amongst themselves via Mental-message transmission how they should deal with him. They just hoped that Nox and the rest would come back quickly, as they could tell for certain that they were no match for the cloaked figure. Millions of loyal demon subjects of the Twilight Demon Kingdom who were in Immortal Realm and had the ability to fight also appeared by the sides of Rashmi and company. They could tell that the cloaked figure wasn’t normal by any means and every citizen of the Heavenly Demon City would have to take part in the battle to defeat him.

“I have sent him far away from your reach. You will never find my son,” Rashmi declared implacably. Her previous hunch had proved to be correct.

“Arghh!” the cloaked figure roared in anger, as he looked at Rashmi and company with hate. The red fog immediately started to attack the barrier from all sides far more violently than before. It was clear that the cloaked figure at this moment wished to wipe out Rashmi and company to vent his anger.

Rashmi’s body started to shine and a semi-circular red barrier encompassed the entirety of Heavenly Demon City. This was her Fire Attribute Domain. All the demons within the Heavenly Demon City immediately felt a little relief as the suffocating feeling as well as the suppression of their powers disappeared after Rashmi conjured her Domain. Even then none of them had smiles on their faces, as they could tell that their enemy was just too strong. They looked at the cloaked figure in disgust and anger.

“Do you truly think that your Domain has the ability to counter the effect of my Domain?! Just wait until this damn barrier disappears,” the Oblivion Demon said in an angry frenzy, as he went berserk and repeatedly struck the barrier with his blue-colored fists without holding back at all. He was hell-bent on killing Rashmi at that moment.

  Boom!

  Boom!

Each strike caused a violent explosion which further increased the speed at which the energy source of the barrier was being depleted.

The expressions of Rashmi and company changed. A few more demons from the Royal Family and some loyal subjects who had the ability to conjure Domains also conjured theirs. Their Domains fused with Rashmi’s and lead to the creation of a colorless Domain, a Fusion Domain.

A Fusion Domain is something a group of beings create by fusing their respective Domains together. A Fusion Domain has the abilities of all the Domains that have fused together and is generally used to fight opponents whose Domain has terrifying abilities like that of the cloaked figure. Only Domains that are simple in nature like that of Rashmi’s and the others can fuse together and create a Fusion Domain. Complicated Domains like the cloaked figure’s Domain can’t fuse together with anyone else’s Domain.

The cloaked figure looked at Rashmi and the rest in a stunned manner for a few seconds before his blue eyes under the cloak started to shine with excitement.

“Let’s see if your Fusion Domain has the ability to defeat the effects of my Domain!” the cloaked figure said as he laughed like a manic. It had been a very long time since he’d been this fired-up about a fight. He wanted to test the limits of his power and also find Noah’s location, which he could get by extracting Rashmi’s memories by using Soul-scan. Many Demon species, unlike humans, have Innate Abilities that allow them to use Soul-scan without fearing a backlash. Soul-scan is something that all human factions fear during wars with demon factions. If any of their higher-ups are caught alive, all their plans will be known to the enemy demon faction, which of course can cause a lot of trouble for the warring human faction. Most higher-ups prefer to commit suicide rather than be captured by a demon faction.

The cloaked figure became even more violent and started to strike the barrier even more brutally than before. Rashmi and company knew that the barrier would at most last for only a few more minutes under such a heavy assault.

“Everybody get ready to fight,” Rashmi roared at the top of her voice, following which everyone in Heavenly Demon City that had the ability to fight got ready for a battle to death. The ones that lacked the ability to fight ran towards the safe zones on the other side of the city, which included kids and demons with Cultivation Levels in the Mortal R
ealm.

  Crack!!!

  Crack!!!

The barrier developed a large number of cracks where the fists of the cloaked figure were striking. The Blood-red fog immediately seeped into Heavenly Demon City through the cracks but was mostly held back by the Fusion Domain. Soon the barrier disappeared and the Blood-red fog attacked the Fusion Domain from all sides.

Rashmi and company were flabbergasted when they felt the true power of their opponent’s Domain. Once again they felt the suffocating feeling but to a more extreme degree than before. They also experienced minor decreases in their Cultivation Levels even with the Fusion Domain supporting them, which made them realize that their opponent’s strength and Domain were on a completely different level to theirs.

“Attack!!!” Rashmi roared at the top of her voice and everyone, except her and the others that had conjured the Domain, charged at the cloaked figure. Rashmi and the others maintaining the Fusion Domain were under enormous stress.

“Roar!” the cloaked figure roared at the top of his voice as he turned into a red-colored flash of lightning and charged at Rashmi and the others who were maintaining the Domain.

Currently, the Fusion Domain and his Blood-red Domain were fighting each other for superiority, due to which none of the parties could use the abilities of their respective Domains to their advantage. It was no different from fighting without a Domain but the Fusion Domain had reduced the ill-effects of the cloaked figure’s Domain to a very large extent.

Rashmi and company had horrified expressions as they knew that the moment the Fusion Domain went down, they wouldn’t live for more than a few minutes in their opponent’s Domain.

The red flash of lightning was so fast that the demons that came in its path were unable to do anything before they were hit by it. The ones that were hit by it turned into Blood mist, which was instantly absorbed by the red flash of lightning.

Everyone was horrified when they saw the red flash of lightning devour their mates which made their hate for the cloaked figure shoot to the skies. Their determination to stop him at any cost increased dramatically. The feeling that they had for the cloaked figure at that moment was like the one that humans on Earth have regarding a man-eating tiger: he had to be gotten rid of at any cost for the greater good of the Demon race.
