At that moment Rashmi and Noah looked at Isa with mixed emotions.

“Now you’ll believe me that I am your father?” Isa asked with a bashful smile.

Rashmi just nodded her head timidly. She had not heard a lot about Isa from her mother and the things that she’d heard from other members of the Demon Domain about him were not good. She put the Destruction bead away at this moment, as she’d decided to believe him, because her mother had never even once bad mouthed him. Isa had but naturally sensed the Destruction bead from the start, but deliberately hadn’t taken it away from her by force, as that would have caused trouble for him, by making Rashmi more wary of him.

“What are your names?” Isa asked in a cheerful manner.

“I am Rashmi and this is my son, Noah,” Rashmi said in respectful tone, but she was stunned for a second by Isa asking their names, as this told her that Isa hadn’t been keeping tabs on information about her mother after he’d escaped from Demon Continent, otherwise he’d have known about her and her brothers, even if he had no idea about Noah.

“You are definitely my Grandson,” Isa said as he gently patted Noah. He could tell that Noah possessed Original-grade bloodline by birth, which was extremely rare. Noah was extremely elated to have Isa as his grandfather, as he could tell that Isa cared for him by his actions.

“Do you have any more brothers or sisters?” Isa asked Rashmi in an exhilarated manner.

“Father, I have two brothers. Where have you been all these years?” Rashmi said somewhat angrily, as she was unable to take it anymore. She couldn’t help but feel a little uncomfortable. The word ‘Father’ was just too foreign to her. Noah was looking at Isa with full attention, as he also wanted to know the answer to this question, but he was unable to get the hidden meaning behind his mother’s question.

Rashmi knew her father’s circumstance from ten thousand years ago that had forced him to flee from Demon Continent, but she wanted to know why he’d gone incognito for about ten thousand years. If he was concerned about her mother, at least he could have tried somehow to contact her and would have known that she was pregnant with their children. She’d seen the listless expression on her mother’s face over the past ten thousand years while she patiently waited for Isa.

The affair of Shalu and Isa had been quite a sensation some ten thousand years ago. Many amongst the Demon nobility didn’t consider Demon Ghosts to be true demons, due to their bizarre Innate Abilities which were quite similar those of ghosts. They had considerably lower status amongst the different demon species, even though Demon Ghosts are one of the strongest kinds of demons. They were never given higher posts in any demon faction, though they were prized for their capabilities during wars. But for that, other demons would have already hunted Demon Ghosts to extinction a long back.

Isa had become the public enemy of the entire Demon nobility of Grandura for having a relationship with Shalu, who was a Redback Demon. No one blamed Shalu for falling in love with Isa. On the contrary, they felt it was Isa’s fault for making Shalu fall in love with him. The higher-ups of Demon Domain wanted Isa dead, because of the embarrassment that his relationship with Shalu caused them. They had hunted him down, but Isa was able to escape from Demon Continent alive, following which he’d had to live in exile. Like most Demon Ghosts, Isa didn’t belong to any demon faction. Grandura’s Demon Ghosts very rarely joined factions and lived in small villages comprising only them.

Shalu had given birth to triplets which was quite common amongst demons. Demon Domain wanted Shalu to get rid of Rashmi and her two brothers even though all three were Redback Demons. Most of the time, the children of a demon couple from different Demon species belong to the parent with the higher bloodline purity, though there have been exceptions. The bloodline purity of the children is random – it all depends on luck. The same isn’t the case, if the demon couple are of the same species. In this case, the children can have the bloodline purity of one of their parents or one that is higher than either of them. Rashmi’s mother was a Redback Demon with High-grade bloodline purity, while Isa, at that time, had Mid-grade bloodline purity. So, it wasn’t a surprise that Rashmi and her brothers were Redback Demons.

Shalu had refused to get rid of her children and frantically protected her babies. The higher-ups of Demon Domain could tell that Shalu would never agree to their demands and might even take some drastic step. They had no intention of losing her as she had the strength and talent to become one of the pillars of strength for the Grandura branch of Demon Domain in the future. The Main branch of the Demon Domain also had some plans for her, so they’d decided to allow Rashmi and her brothers to live.

“I was trapped in a Spatial space by a human bastard soon after I had fled from Demon Continent. I then spent the next ten thousand years in that Spatial space in solitude. I wanted to go and find your mother at Demon Domain right after becoming free, but I didn’t want a repeat from ten thousand years ago. I knew that she was alive and still on Grandura as I have her Life pedant, so I entered a Closed-door Cultivation session to increase my strength so I could at least go to Demon Domain to find her later on,” Isa said in solemn tone, as he could already understand what was behind Rashmi’s question. Isa wasn’t confident about taking down the entire branch of Demon Domain with his Late Immortal Saint Realm Cultivation Level, even if he did possess Asura physique.

A Life pendant is an artifact that directly connects with the life force of a being and if it breaks, that means that the being whose life force it is connected with has died.

Rashmi and Noah were somewhat shaken up on hearing Isa’s words. They couldn’t even fathom how Isa had spent ten thousand years in solitude while being trapped a Spatial space. Rashmi could tell that Isa was telling the truth from his sorrowful tone.

“Grandfather, I will personally kill that human,” Noah said in an aggrieved manner.

“I have already dealt with him, so there is no need for you to dirty your hands,” Isa said as a smile appeared on his face as he gently patted Noah again, which made a smile appear on Noah’s face again.

“Mother is doing fine. She is the current Protector of Demon Domain. She should be there at this moment,” Rashmi said without attempting to hide anything from Isa anymore.

“Don’t worry. I will soon go and meet her and this time there won’t be a repeat from ten thousand years ago,” Isa said with a smile. A smile finally appeared on Rashmi’s face as she could see Isa’s yearning to meet Shalu. This made her happy for her mother, even though she knew that it would take a lot for her mother and father to live together happily. Just like ten thousand years ago, Demon Domain would never accept their relationship.

“Why do you release such a dense and terrifying Baleful aura?” Rashmi couldn’t help but ask. Isa’s Baleful aura was the reason Liam and the others had believed that he was a demon trying to evolve into an Oblivion Demon.

“This Baleful aura is the product of my reward from my Closed-door Cultivation session in the valley of Green Highlands. I started to release this Baleful aura after I gained insights in Heavenly Demon Laws,” Isa said with a smile. What he said was not false, but it was not the reason behind his terrifying Baleful aura. Rashmi and Noah looked at Isa in a stunned manner. Isa had no intention of telling them that he’d formed a Demon contract with a human with Asura Martial Spirit, because of which he’d gained Asura physique. He had no idea how they might react to that.

“Grandfather is it really true that you’ve gained insights in Heavenly Demon Laws?” Noah asked in a stunned manner and Rashmi was no different. At this moment she couldn’t help but feel that her parents could have a future together.

“Yes,” Isa said as he gently patted Isa. Elated expressions appeared on Rashmi and Noah’s faces on hearing his positive reply.

Any being that reaches Paragon God Realm is able to gain insights in Heavenly Laws, but in extremely rare cases, some beings are able to gain insights in Heavenly Laws before that. One thing is clear about such
beings: they will become Paragon Gods in the future for sure. Their Cultivation Level also increases at a terrifying pace until they reach Paragon God Realm, so the reactions of Noah and Rashmi can be understood. Since Isa had gained insights in Heavenly Demon Laws, that meant that he had limitless potential.

Since time immemorial the number of demons, except for Asuras, that could gain insight in Heavenly Laws before reaching Paragon God Realm were far fewer than the number of demons with Original-grade bloodline purity at any given time. If a demon lacking Original-grade bloodline purity gains insights in Heavenly Demon Laws before reaching the Paragon God Realm, that demon’s bloodline purity will increase with the passage of time until it becomes Original-grade. Isa was able to gain insights in Heavenly Demon Laws due to his Asura physique, which made it easier for him to connect with the heavens to gain insights in Heavenly Demon Laws.

“Father, there is a bit of a problem. If possible, can you solve it?” Rashmi asked in a timid manner, as she suddenly remembered the reason for their visit to Green Highlands.

“What problem?” Isa asked in a concerned manner. He could tell from her expression that the problem that she wanted him to solve wasn’t a normal one.

“An Oblivion Demon has appeared out of nowhere …” and Rashmi narrated the entire sequence of events that had taken place on Demon Continent in the past few weeks including Ancestor Liam’s assumption that Isa was an Oblivion Demon.

Isa’s was shocked to know the true reason for those exaggerated barriers around the valley where he’d been cultivating.

“I am sure that Liam is dumb to mistake me for an Oblivion Demon!” Isa said in an incensed manner.

“Grandpa Liam is not dumb!” Noah said in Liam’s defense.

“If you say so, then he is not,” Isa said as he gently patted Noah, which immediately brought a smile back to Noah’s face. Rashmi also couldn’t help but smile.

“Let’s go and save your Grandpa Liam,” Isa said as he opened a Teleportation portal to Nine Demon Forest and entered it. Rashmi with Noah still in her arms entered the portal right after Isa. She had at this moment complete faith in Isa.

  Ch.9

Meanwhile, Ryan’s entire body was shrouded in Deathly aura and Baleful aura and his Cultivation Level was increasing at a rapid pace and his Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Core within the black side of his Soul World had already advanced to Late Mortal Lord Realm. However, he didn’t stop purifying his Spirit Power in it, as he intended to advance his Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Core to Early Mortal King Realm. There was a very high chance that he could unseal Innate Abilities from both Yama and Earl, since his understanding in Elemental Laws was way beyond the threshold required for advancing his Soul Core to Mid Mortal King Realm. This fact elated Ryan.

As it turned out, Ryan didn’t gain any increase in his strength or bodily toughness as had happened previously, when he’d advanced his Poison Attribute Soul Core to Late Mortal Lord Realm, though his Hell’s Fire flame strengthened a lot and the purity of his Liquid Spirit Power increased to whole new level. His Hell’s Fire flame could now easily burn a Late Mortal King Realm being into nothingness without him or her being able to resist at all. The increase in the purity of his Liquid Spirit Power also increased the power of his Death Attribute and Fire Attribute attacks as well the Innate Abilities of Yama and Earl.

The vortex within the Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Core started to intensify as it churned the Death Attribute Liquid Spirit Power within the Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Core. Ryan would advance to Early Mortal King Realm the moment its purity went up by a notch. At the current rate, it wouldn’t take long for him to advance to Early Mortal King Realm.

Grand Elder Leo of the Main branch of Calamity Divine World was currently seated in his Cultivation chamber. His expression was aghast. He’d just received the Mental-message transmission from Grand Elder Shyam of Silver Oak Sect informing him about the annihilation of his faction’s Main branch and the offer from Silver Oak Sect.

“Archdevil Shera!!!” Leo mumbled to himself as a ferocious expression appeared on his face. He wanted to avenge his fellow sect members, but the reality was quite cruel, as he was no match for Archdevil Shera. So, the chances of him ever avenging his fellow sect members were next to nil.

Leo soon regained his composure as he thought about the offer from the Silver Oak Sect.

“I will have to make sure that those youngsters have an easy time on Grandura,” Leo thought to himself as he left his Cultivation chamber. He headed straight to the Meeting Hall and called all the higher-ups of the Grandura branch, as well as the other six surviving members of the Main branch of the Calamity Sect, for a meeting.

Everyone was quick to respond to Leo’s call and within no time the Meeting Hall was completely full. They all looked at Leo with reverence, as he was from the same generation as the Founder of Calamity Sect. It was said that the Leo was as strong as the Founder of the sect, so it was natural for the members of the Grandura branch of Calamity Sect to feel reverence towards him.

“The Main branch was annihilated completely by an archdevil,” Leo didn’t beat around the bush and directly came to the point, as the Grandura branches of the different factions would soon come to know about it from their respective Main branches. Soon this news would spread throughout the entirety of Grandura, so he’d decided to tell them about it himself before that happened.

The entire Meeting Hall was stunned to pin-drop silence as they looked at Leo with looks of utter disbelief.

One of the surviving members of the Main branch of Calamity Sect couldn’t help but ask, “Grand Elder Leo, is that true?!” Everyone in the Meeting Hall was looking at Leo with terrified expressions, as they knew that their days were numbered on Grandura without the protection of their Main branch.

“Yes, it is true. I am sure by now that all the Grandura branches of the different factions will have received the news, but don’t worry: no one will dare to bare their fangs at us,” Leo said in a calm tone. He knew that none of the Grandura factions would dare to attack their Grandura branch, because of the Silver Oak Sect’s support. His tone had a calming effect on everyone inside the Meeting Hall.

“We do have a way to re-establish our Main branch in Divine Universe. We just need to support those youngsters, that came with us while they are on Grandura,” Leo said in a purposeful manner. His words made many of the higher-ups of the Grandura branch of Calamity Sect stunned for second.

“Ancestor, what do you mean?” one of the higher-ups couldn’t help but ask.

“Those youngsters don’t belong to the Main branch of our Calamity sect. The Main branch of our sect became a subsidiary of a very powerful sect some time ago. The Grand Elder of that sect has promised me that as long as we support their youngsters to the best of our ability while they are on Grandura, his sect will help us in reestablishing our Main branch in Divine Universe,” Leo said slowly as he wanted everyone to digest his words.

The Grandura branch members of the Calamity Sect were shocked on hearing those words from Leo. They’d never expected that their Main branch would become a subsidiary of a certain faction. They could tell from Leo’s tone that the faction was way stronger than the Main branch of their Calamity Sect.

The Main branch of Calamity Sect hadn’t thought it was necessary to inform their Grandura branch about it. The other Grandura factions with Main branches in the Divine Universe hadn’t received this information from their Main branches either. Most of the matters from the Divine Universe were rarely conveyed to Grandura unless it was about the annihilation of the Main branch of the Grandura faction, as any other news had little effect on the situation on Grandura.

Leo had previously told them that the Main branch of the Calamity Sect was interested in the object that had come from Outer space, so they’d sent youngster from the Main branch to retrieve it from the Ancient Legacy Land. At that time, they hadn’t
suspected anything and had just assumed that the object from Outer space must have been a Heaven Defying Treasure, the identity of which only their faction was able to find out – and thus, their Main branch was interested in it. It was clear to them now, that their Main branch’s backer was the one interested in that object from Outer space.

The things that Leo had just told them completely changed their world-view. They also finally understood why so many Grandura branches of the various factions had agreed to join the Star Alliance. It was clearly because of the backer that their Main branch had gained.

“Won’t the Star Alliance break apart due to the annihilation of our Main branch?” one of the Grand Elders asked in a troubled manner.

“That won’t happen any time soon, since the sect that our Main branch has become a subsidiary of has declared its support for our Grandura branch,” Leo said with a sigh.

Everyone quickly understood the gravity of the situation, as they processed Leo’s words and could already understand Leo’s hidden meaning.

“Grand Elder, we will support those kids in every possible manner. We will even send all of our talented juniors into the Legacy Land along with them,” one of the Grand Elders of the Grandura branch said in solemn manner. Everyone in the Meeting Hall nodded their heads. They knew that if those youngsters failed to retrieve the object from the Ancient Legacy Land, they would lose the support of their backer.

“I don’t want the matter of those kids not being part of our faction to spread outside these walls,” Leo said in a very resolute tone. All the members of the Grandura branch of the Calamity Sect hurriedly nodded their heads and then left the Meeting Hall with somber expressions.

“Did you put restrictions on their souls?” Leo asked one of the members of the Main branch of the Calamity sect, a middle-aged man named Harsha, a Death Attribute Martial Artist.
