Ryan opened his eyes once his body had stabilized. He was ecstatic, when he felt the explosive strength in each and every part of his body.
Soon afterwards, Ryan’s entire body was shrouded in Unholy black light, and his eyes sparkled with excitement as he’d been expecting that. Yama was also shrouded in the Unholy black light and one the numerous seals on his body was shining the brightest. Soon that seal disappeared, and the Unholy black light disappeared along with it. That signified the unsealing of an Innate Ability, and the moment it was unsealed, the information for it appeared in Ryan’s mind. At that very moment Ryan’s Asura eyes activated on their own and started to shine with red light. Ryan was alarmed, as his Asura eyes had never behaved like that before.
“Your Asura eyes are undergoing a mutation so that you can use the new Innate Ability that you’ve just gained. This Innate Ability is popularly called Evil eyes in the Divine Universe,” Yama said in a calm tone which made Ryan calm down too. Ryan then started to analyze the Innate Ability that he’d just gained. He soon had a shocked expression and then a silly smile appeared on his face.
The new Innate Ability would allow him to cast illusions with his Asura eyes. He could trap anyone whose soul was weaker than his in the illusion and attack their souls and minds.
“Holy shit!” Earl and Dargar said in unison when they analyzed the Innate Ability, as they found it overpowered in every possible sense. Ryan could get rid of all beings with souls weaker than him in a fight with the help of this new Innate Ability without even having to lift a finger. This Innate Ability would increase his chances of survival inside the Ancient Legacy Land.
“Yama, this Innate Ability is awesome. I can now literally threaten the life of an Early Mortal Sage Realm being,” Ryan said with a smug expression.
“This Innate Ability is a double-edged sword. If the being that you trap in an illusion is somehow able to break free of it, you will suffer a backlash to your soul,” Earl warned. These words quickly brought Ryan back to earth from high heaven. Any being using an illusion in a fight is always at risk of a backlash to his or her soul, if the trapped being breaks free of the illusion irrespective of their species. A being can break free of an illusion purely by using will power or be helped to break free of the illusion by a being stronger than the illusion caster. In both cases, the illusion caster receives a massive backlash to his or her soul, which can even be life threatening. For this the reason most beings prefer to avoid using illusion if possible.
“He won’t suffer due to his mutated soul,” Yama added with a smug expression.
“What?” Ryan, Earl and Dargar said in unison, as they were unable to believe what Yama had just said.
“Your mutated soul has a lot of uses. I will tell you about them as you advance along your Martial Path. For now, you should now concentrate on advancing your second Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Core to Early Mortal King Realm,” Yama said. Ryan, Earl and Dargar were very pleased to hear that from Yama. Ryan and his Martial Spirits talked for some time before he started purifying the Liquid Spirit Power in his second Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Core to advance it to the Late Mortal Lord Realm as well. His Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Core still had the Cultivation Level of Mid Mortal Lord Realm.
“I wonder what kind of Innate Ability I will get after I advance my other Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Core to Early Mortal King Realm?” Ryan thought to himself with great expectation as he again entered a deep Cultivation state.

Demon Continent was in great uproar due to the arrival of the reinforcements from the Main branches of the different demon factions. All the demons from the Main branches of the different demon factions were stunned to know that Isa had already dealt with the Oblivion Demon.
The Mental-message transmissions sent by numerous demon factions on Grandura informing their respective Main branches about Isa and his execution of the Oblivion Demon hadn’t reached their Main branches before the reinforcements had been sent. It takes time for Mental-message transmissions to reach the Divine Universe and vice a versa.
The reactions of the demons from the Main branch of the different demon factions were no different from the reactions of the Grandura demons. They too were unable to tolerate the fact that a Demon ghost was able to gain insights in Heavenly Demon Laws, but they had no intention of getting rid of Isa instantly – they had some other plans for him.
All the demons belonging to the Main branches of the different Grandura demon factions had assembled in the skies above Endless Mountainous Region in the northern part of Demon Continent. Each Main branch had sent at least one demon each to help with the killing of the Oblivion Demon.
Endless Mountainous Region was under no demon faction’s control, as it was filled to the brim with Elemental Beasts and other terrifying beings. No demon faction had tried to conquer this region as it contained some Elemental Beasts with connections to the Elemental Beasts in the Divine Universe.
All the demons were looking at each other warily as if a brawl might break if they didn’t reach an agreement.
“Let me make it clear: two of the three slots belong to my faction! The remaining one can be decided by you guys on your own,” a demon belonging to the Main branch of Demon Domain insisted. He was a Hell Bull Demon and his name was Servius. He was one of the demons sent by the Main branch of Demon Domain to help with the killing of the Oblivion Demon. He had two more demons by his side, a Redback Demon and a Scaly Demon.
Hell Bull Demons are Earth Attribute demons known for their terrifying bodily strength and toughness like most Earth Attribute beings. They possess terrifying combat prowess and various kinds of Innate Abilities that increase their defenses to a terrifying level. Even beings with a Cultivation Level two sub-realms higher than them find it extremely difficult to injure their bodies and as a result Soul attacks are generally used to deal with them.
“Servius on what basis?” a demon from the Main branch of Celestial Demon Sect demanded in a mocking tone. He was a Lightning Liger Demon and had an aide by his side, who was a Sword Demon just like Death Sword but a normal one. The Sword Demon was the weapon of the Lightning Liger Demon.
Lightning Liger Demons look like a humanoid liger about twelve meters high with bulging muscles all over their bodies, which are also entirely covered in Divine armor. Lightning Liger Demons are powerful Thunder Attribute Demons and have powerful and highly destructive Innate Abilities.
“Then how about we square it out?” Servius said as he released terrifying Killing Intent. His two companions also got ready to fight.
“There is no point in fighting … what will you do, if Isa refuses to baptize a member of your faction?” a Demoness from the Twilight Demon Kingdom said in a cold manner. She was a Dark Mist Demon, named Lin. She had three companions by her side, but she didn’t want a fight to break out between them as that would damage Demon Continent.
Dark Mist Demons are Darkness Attribute Demons, humanoid beings with slender bodies and human-like features. They are well-known for their terrifying ability to comprehend Darkness Elemental Laws at a frightening speed because of which their Cultivation Level increases rapidly in comparison with other demons of a similar bloodline purity. They also possess a number of Innate Abilities that attack souls.
A demon that gains insights in the Heavenly Demon Laws and understands them before reaching Paragon God Realm can pass its insights in Heavenly Demon Laws to three other demons in its lifetime. This passing of the insights in Heavenly Demon Laws is called ‘Baptism’ by the Demon race.
The three baptized demons gain the ability to naturally gain insights in the Heavenly Demon Laws if they are able to understand the insights that they’d received previously in Heavenly Demon Laws. As well, their bloodlines slowly and steadily reach Original-grade. The chance of a baptized demon being able to understand the insights that he or she had gained previously is less than one percent, but most demon factio
ns still want to bank on that one percent. It was natural then that the factions were fighting amongst themselves, as each of them wanted someone from his or her faction to be one of the three to be baptized by Isa.
“We have his lover and two sons. What are the chances that he would refuse?” Servius said as he started to laugh like a maniac and many of the demon factions couldn’t help but feel envious of Demon Domain’s luck.
“I never expected that you guys would fall to such a level,” Lin said with disgust. The Twilight Demon Kingdom and the Demon Domain were in alliance but she couldn’t help but curse them.
“Shalu is one of our faction members. I am sure she won’t mind sacrificing herself for the faction,” Servius said with laugh.
“I’m sure you guys remember the story of Demon Emperor Banasura,” a demoness that looked exactly like a middle-aged woman that was entirely made of lava, said in a calm tone. She was a Lava Demon called Lana. She had two companions by her side, a Lava Demon and a demon with a muscular humanoid body which was covered in blue flames, a Sun Fire Demon. They all belonged to Flame Demon Valley, which comprised Fire Attribute demons.
Lava Demons are Fire Attribute demons that are entirely made up of lava and they possess a terrifying affinity with Fire Elemental Laws, which allows them to gain insights and understanding in Fire Elemental Laws at a very terrifying pace. Their strength continuously increases with the passage of time, as long as they live within a Fire Attribute Treasure Land. They possess an Innate Ability that allows them to create puppets out of lava. The number of Lava puppets a Lava Demon can create depends entirely on their bloodline purity. An Original-grade Lava Demon can create millions of Lava puppets with ease and also control them with ease. The puppets possess strength similar to the Lava Demon that created them. This Innate Ability makes them quite fearsome enemies, due to which most try to avoid them if they are not sure of victory.
Sun Fire Demons are also Fire Attribute demons. They don’t possess any tyrannical Innate Abilities but do possess a Variant flame called Sun Fire, that is considered one of the strongest amongst all the different kinds of Variant flames. These demons with supreme control over their flames can could cause havoc in any battle field with a single attack of Sun Fire flame.
Lana’s reminder immediately stunned all the demons and fearful expressions appeared on their faces though they quickly regained their composures.
Demon Emperor Banasura was one of the many Demon Emperors that had ruled the Demon race in Hell. Demon Emperor is the title given to the strongest members of the Demon race after the Asuras. Banasura was able to gain insights in Heavenly Demon Laws while he was in Immortal Realm and was immediately forced by the strongest demon faction in his Divine World to baptize demons from their faction. They even took his family members hostage to force him but he didn’t give in to their demands and somehow fled from his Divine World and no one heard from him for the next ten thousand years. To make Banasura return to the Divine World, the demon faction tortured to death the members of his family in full public view but even then, he didn’t return. The day he did eventually return he had the strength to rule over the Demon race. He single-handedly annihilated the demon faction that had taken his family hostage and tortured them to death.
“Then we will only have to make sure he is unable to escape Grandura,” Servius said with a cruel expression.
“I would suggest we take it easy and not take things to the extreme. Isa might do something unpredictable and we might all lose this opportunity. We shouldn’t force him too much. You shouldn’t forget that he also has a Master backing him. We don’t know the identity of his Master, so we should take things slowly,” Lana said in a somber tone and many of the demons couldn’t help but agree with her.
“Why don’t you guys have his lover or children collect some information?” a demon that had been listening quietly all this while said in an emotionless voice. He was from the Blood Demon Sect and had no companions by his side. He was a Soul Sucking Hell Demon just like Nox, and called Dan.
“I don’t understand why you guys are so scared of his Master. Since Isa has never left Grandura, his Master can at most only be a God Realm being from one of the factions on Grandura. Anyone of us could kill his Master given our strength,” a demon from the Sky Devouring Demon Sect said in frustration. He was a Cloud Demon and had three companions by his side that were Cloud Demons too. Many of the demons and demonesses present couldn’t help but agree with him.
Cloud Demons are humanoid demons but they are entirely made up of cloud. They are Dual Attribute Demons of Water and of Wind. They are considered harbingers of bad weather. Since their bodies are entirely made up of cloud, harming them with physical attack is impossible and only Soul attack work on them. They don’t have a lot of Innate Abilities but possess supreme control over both water and wind, which allows them to do terrifying attacks by mere thought.
“It is better to be on the safe side than regret later on. If by chances his Master is some terrifying existence, then I don’t want to risk the lives of my sect members. I have never seen or heard of a demon that has gained insights in Heavenly Demon Laws being submissive to anyone. Each and every one of them was well-known for arrogance,” Dan said in his emotionless voice. Everyone couldn’t help but take in a deep breath on hearing this from Dan. They couldn’t help but feel alarmed at that moment, as they felt that Dan’s words made sense.
“Isa is not going anywhere. We should all ask the higher-ups of our respective factions for guidance on this matter. We aren’t qualified to take a call on it,” Lana said as she opened a Teleportation portal and disappeared into it. The other demons agreed with her and left for the Grandura branches of their respective factions too.

Meanwhile, Blasius was flying at his top speed towards the Administrative Department, as he’d received a Mental-message transmission from Lukas asking him to come to the Administrative Department office at the earliest. It was not just Blasius who’d received this message – a similar one had been sent by Lukas to the parent of Shawn and his brothers’ team members that had attend the previous meeting. They too were flying at their top speeds towards the Administrative Department office.
Blasius reached the Administrative Department office within a few minutes and immediately headed for its Reception area where the parents of his sons’ teammates were waiting patiently for Lukas. They’d arrived just a few minutes before him.
Blasius attracted the attention of everyone the moment he opened its door and entered. He and the other parents exchanged greetings following which he quickly took a seat and started waiting for Lukas like the others.
Lukas soon entered the Reception area with a severe expression, which immediately increased the heartbeats of Blasius and the other parents.
“Your kids are currently alive, but their situation is not that good,” Lukas said flatly. He didn’t beat around the bush.
Blasius and the other parents couldn’t help but sigh with relief knowing that their children were alive after hearing the first part of Lukas’s sentence, but their faces fell the moment they heard the second part of the sentence.
“What about their situation?” Blasius asked in panic and the other parents were no different from him.
“The covert team we sent to investigate the disappearance of your children was ambushed by devils under Devil King Abaddon. They were able to escape, but they also got news from the devils about your children. Devil King Abaddon is asking us to release Devil King Cherub in exchange for their release within a month – otherwise he will execute them,” Lukas said with an ugly expression.
The faces of Blasius and other parents went pale with fright after hearing this. They knew that the chances of the Heaven Sundering Family Clan agreeing to this were next to nil. So, their kids dying the most horrible of deaths was set in stone, which horrified them so much that their hearts stopped beating for a few seconds.
Devil King Cherub is the most infamous and most powerful Devil King since Grandura came into existence. He’d ruled over the entire Raksha Continent while Herman and Heron were still on Grandura – a feat that has not ever been replicated by any other Devil King. Even today, the Raksha Continent is collectively ruled by a number of Devil Kings and not a single one of them has the ability to unify the entire Raksha Continent under his control.
Devil King Cherub ruled Raksha Continent during a time when none of the Grandura factions, demon, human, devil or any other race had any connection with the Divine Universe.
A war had erupted between the human factions and the entire Devil race which resulted in the loss of the Devil race but the human factions had to pay a very heavy price. The Heaven Sundering Family Clan and the Eternity Family Clan were part of the human forces that had fought with the devils. The war was only won after Herman and Heron defeated Devil King Cherub. They’d wanted to kill him, but that was next to impossible as he was a Soul Devouring Phantom Devil.
Soul Devouring Phantom Devils are variants of Soul Stealing Devils and are extremely rare. They are well-known for their terrifying strength and bizarre Innate Abilities. One of their trademark Innate Abilities makes sure that they can’t be killed until and unless all their descendants are killed – which technically makes them unkillable. Devil King Cherub had lived for countless years and had countless numbers of children during those years. Those children had begun their own families after growing up, so the difficulty associated in killing Devil King Cherub can be imagined.
Heron and Herman temporarily imprisoned Devil King Cherub while all the human factions tried to find and kill all his descendants, but they were unable to find them all no matter how hard they tried – so Devil King Cherub was unkillable.
Then they thought of completely eradicating devils from the face of Grandura to end the life of Devil King Cherub but were unsuccessful in that endeavor because of interference by demons. That interference gave the devil race enough time to stabilize and raise a few new devils to fill the leadership void left by the fall of Devil King Cherub, which then allowed the devils to resist the relentless attacks by the human factions.
