  Ch.16

A Teleportation portal opened in a remote region of Demon Continent. This region was completely barren and completely submerged in Demonic Energy, so it was called Forsaken Region. The Demonic Energy could even make demons of powerful species go insane within minutes of making contact with it. Isa flew out of the portal.

“Master, thank you for saving me,” Isa said solemnly via Mental-message transmission. He’d decided to contact Ryan after leaving Shalu and their two sons.

Ryan stopped refining his skin and opened his eyes. He was immediately joyous upon hearing Isa’s voice.

“There is no need to thank me and it wasn’t something that you deliberately called upon yourself,” Ryan said via Mental-message transmission as he tried to comfort Isa. He could tell that Isa was feeling guilty for getting into trouble.

“Master, I will finish the task given by you within a month,” Isa said in a respectful tone.

“There is no need to rush. Just take it easy, as there is still a little over four months until the Ancient Legacy Land opens,” Ryan said via Mental-message transmission.

“Yes Master,” Isa said as a smile appeared on his face at hearing Ryan’s caring words.

Ryan and Isa talked for some time before they ended their conversation. Ryan returned to refining his skin, while Isa went on to finish the task Ryan had given him.

Isa headed straight towards the source of the Demonic Energy that had inundated Forsaken Region for countless years. Soon the source came into his view. It was a lotus growing in a small pond of crystal clear water. The lotus was in full bloom and each petal on it was of a different color and shining like a crystal. Due to its abnormal beauty, anyone could tell with a single glance that the lotus was not normal. The lotus emitted large quantities of Demonic Energy, that was extremely dangerous for all kinds of beings with Cultivation Levels below the Immortal Realm.

The lotus wasn’t an Immortal Plant Spirit but a Demonic Treasure that had taken that form. It had already gained sentience and was startled by Isa’s sudden appearance. It immediately started to emit large quantities of Demonic Energy in order to drive Isa crazy, but that had no effect on him. He just looked at the lotus with an amused expression.

“It is useless to do all that in front of me,” Isa said as he flicked his hand and the lotus flew into his hand. The pond and the crystal-clear water in it also disappeared within seconds as they’d been illusions created by the Demonic Treasure. Isa then stored the lotus in his Spatial pouch before he flew towards his next target.

Archdevil Mundus had an horrified expression on his face as he looked at the human that had boldly entered his Cultivation chamber. The human released a terrifying Devil aura which subdued him and all his devil followers. He could also feel the restraining effect of the human’s Devil aura. The human was none other than Solomon.

Archdevil Mundus was a Void Devil, a humanoid devil about ten feet tall. Void Devils are Spatial Attribute Devils and are one of the strongest kinds of devils. They can gain insights into Spatial Laws at a very fast space and can teleport far distances in the Divine Universe at a single thought – which makes it difficult to kill them.

“Mundus, how have you been all these years?” Solomon said in an icy tone.

“Lord Solomon, I’d heard that you’d died some five hundred million years ago,” Mundus said in a fearful tone.

“I lost interest in waring and fighting, so I decided to take a break from it for some time,” Solomon said in the same tone as before.

“Can I ask what made Lord Solomon come here all of a sudden?” Mundus asked, as he had a bad feeling about the entire situation.

“I will tell you after beating the shit out of you,” Solomon said as he appeared next to Mundus and struck him with his right fist right on his face. Mundus immediately caved to the floor of his chamber and before he could even shout or understand anything he got a kick from Solomon. The Chamber of Mundus was quite sturdy which ensured that the Palace didn’t collapse from the force of Solomon’s punches and kicks.

“Arghhhhhh!” Mundus roared at the top of his voice in tremendous pain. He wanted to flee but knew that was not possible in front of Solomon, so he could only let Solomon beat him into pulp.

Soon his painful roars were heard in every part of his Divine World. All his followers could only look towards his palace with horrified expressions. Solomon’s Devil Aura was far stronger than that of Mundus, which made them apprehensive about helping Mundus since strength decides status in the Devil race. They felt it was OK for Mundus to be beaten up by a stronger devil.

The painful roars of Mundus continued for ten hours or so before they stopped.

“Ask your followers and Devils of Grandura to stay away from the Grandura branches of Heaven Sundering Family Clan and Eternity Family Clan as the members of these family clans are my descendants. Stay away from them,” Solomon said as he stopped beating Mundus, who was severely bleeding from every part of his body and looked at Solomon with a fearful expression. He nodded his head hurriedly.

“If your followers or Devils of Grandura ever messes with my descendants again then you won’t live long and make sure too that no one knows that I am still alive,” Solomon said as he disappeared from Mundus’s chamber.

“Marich! Quickly come here!!” Archdevil Mundus roared at the top of his voice.

Devil Marich was quick to come to Mundus’s side, as he couldn’t feel Solomon’s presence any longer.

“Quickly send a Mental-message transmission to those retards on Grandura and tell them not to mess with the Grandura branches of Heaven Sundering Family Clan and Eternity Family Clan in any manner, and if by any chance the Grandura branches of those two clans get into trouble they should help them!” Mundus said everything in one breadth.

Devil Marich was stunned on hearing this command from Mundus.

“Don’t look at me like that!! Just do what I’m telling you, otherwise none of us will live for long. Use the Lightning Galactic Mental-message transmission orb to the send the Mental-message,” Mundus said fearfully and Devil Marich could see him shaking in fear. This even induced fear in Marich so he quickly left Mundus’s chamber to contact the three followers of Mundus on Grandura.

A Lightning Galactic Mental-message transmission orb is an advanced version of the Galactic Mental-message transmission orb. It sends Mental-message transmissions to the Mortal Universe at thrice the speed of a normal Galactic Mental-message transmission orb. Most factions avoid using one, as it requires the use of Chaos stones, which are extremely precious as well as rare. Absorbing the gas in Chaos stones can increase a being’s understanding in the Elemental Laws irrespective of their Cultivation Level by a very large margin, so the preciousness of Chaos stone can be understood.

“Fuck! Why was I so unlucky as to meet that lunatic?” Mundus said to himself as he sat in a meditative position to heal his injuries, which were so severe that they might take hundreds of years to heal them completely.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

On Grandura, Sheldon received the Mental-message transmission from Heron and Herman asking him and his companions to kill the followers of Archdevil Mundus and save Shawn and company. They were stunned by these instructions from Heron and Herman.

“This is something the Heads would never ask us to do! It is most likely the intention of the Supreme Ancestor,” Danr said as he looked at his companions in confusion. His companions couldn’t help but agree with him, as they understood Heron and Herman very well. They would avoid unnecessary trouble, so there couldn’t be anyone another than Solomon for such instructions.

“Just how strong is Supreme Ancestor if he can disregard Archdevil Mundus in such a manner?” Hague asked with a look of disbelief. The expressions of Sheldon and the rest were no different.

“Let’s just wait a bit. We should soon be getting another set of instructions,” Sh
eldon said as he took a deep breath and his companions nodded their heads in agreement.

Sheldon and company didn’t immediately head out and decided to wait for a few days as they knew for certain that they would get another Mental-message transmission from Heron and Herman with different instructions, as their latest Mental-message transmission had yet to reach them. Their latest Mental-message transmission was about someone having mysteriously saved Shawn and company.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

Solomon returned to Endless Divine World shortly after beating Archdevil Mundus black and blue. He went directly to meet his sons, Heron and Herman, who were in the latter’s house. They were discussing some problematic stuff in Herman’s secret chamber and were delighted to see Solomon return without any injuries.

“Father, did you deal with Mundus?” Herman asked with an odd look on his face. Solomon felt that something was off as he took a seat.

“What’s happened?” Solomon couldn’t help but ask.

“We just received a Mental-message transmission from Sheldon. Someone has already saved those kids from the clutches of the devils,” Herman said slowly which made Solomon’s eyes go wide with shock.

“Tell me everything in detail,” Solomon said. Herman nodded his head and told him everything that Sheldon’s Mental-message transmission had contained.

“I have a hunch that this is most likely the deed of one of my descendants,” Solomon said as a smile appeared on his face. He couldn’t think of anyone else, given the current atmosphere on Grandura.

“We also had the same hunch. Given the situation on Grandura no other faction would help our Grandura branches,” Heron said as a smile appeared on his face too.

“But even so, ask Sheldon to investigate the matter thoroughly. It is better to be on the safe side,” Solomon said to which Heron and Herman readily agreed.

“What about Mundus?” Herman asked once again.

“He and his followers won’t bother our Grandura branches. On the contrary, they will most likely support them from now onwards,” Solomon said as an evil smile appeared on his face. On seeing that smile Heron and Herman decided not to ask any further. They were content as long the devil followers of Mundus didn’t bother their descendants on Grandura.

Heron then quickly sent a Mental-message transmission to Sheldon and company asking them to investigate the matter pertaining to Shawn and company and not to kill the followers of Archdevil Mundus if they hadn’t done so yet.

“Father, Sheldon also informed us that the seal on Devil King Cherub has weakened. It is only a matter of time before the seal that you placed on him will lose its effect and he will be free once again,” Herman told Solomon with a worried tone. In the eyes of the public, it was Heron and Herman who’d defeated Devil King Cherub, but in reality, it was Solomon who had defeated him.

“Don’t worry about him. He won’t create trouble for our Grandura branches,” Solomon said with a mysterious smile.

Herman and Heron nodded their heads. They still had no idea why their father had decided to seal Devil King Cherub instead of killing him. That year it was not them but their father who’d defeated Devil King Cherub. Their father could have easily annihilated the Devil race, even if the Demons were trying to protect them, but had decided against it. That would have made it easy for them to kill Devil King Cherub. This matter had made Heron and Herman wonder for countless years about the probable reason for their father’s actions.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

Just as Sheldon and his companions had expected, they received a Mental-message transmission from Heron and Herman in another few days. In this Mental-message transmission, Heron asked them to not kill the followers of Mundus and to investigate the entire matter related to Shawn and company. This set of instructions was normal and something within the range that could be expected from Heron and Herman.

“Let’s visit the followers of Archdevil Mundus and everything will be cleared,” Sheldon said to which his companions readily agreed. Since Nero and Rudolf were unable to find anything about how Shawn and company had been saved, Sheldon and his companions had no choice but to visit Raksha Continent personally.

It was decided that Sheldon, Danr and Brian would visit Raksha Continent, while Hague and Cenric would stay behind to hold the ground in case of an emergency. During that time Hague would move to the Heaven Sundering Family Clan, while Cenric would continue at the Eternity Family Clan.

Danr opened a Teleportation portal to Unholy City and Sheldon, Danr and Brian disappeared into it.

Unholy City had already recovered from the damage that it had sustained when Ryan and his Soul beings had come to save Shawn and company and looked no different from usual.

A Teleportation portal opened in the sky above Unholy City, which alarmed everyone, as the barrier around the capital made sure that no Teleportation portal could be opened inside the capital. Immediately, a number of Immortal Devils flew towards the portal at high speed including Devil King Abaddon and his wife Rose.

Devil King Abaddon and company had drastic changes in their facial expressions when they saw Sheldon, Danr and Brian fly out of it. They could tell from the ancient auras released by the Sheldon, Danr and Brian that they were existences with Cultivation Levels beyond the Immortal Realm.

“What were the circumstance in which those kids from our Family Clan were saved?” Sheldon came directly to the point.

“I can’t speak about that matter, but please follow us. Our Lords have told us to bring anyone that comes from Heaven Sundering Family Clan and Eternity Family Clan to them. They wish to talk to you about something important,” Devil King Abaddon said in a fearless manner. The Mental-message transmission from Devil Marich had already reached Grandura quite some time before, so such a dictate being issued by the followers of Archdevil Mundus was natural.

“Lead the way,” Sheldon said with an emotionless face. He could tell from Devil King Abaddon and company’s expressions that they wouldn’t open their mouths even if he threatened to kill them.

Devil King Abaddon and his wife Rose led Sheldon, Danr and Brian to the Devil Pond. The other Immortal Devils returned to what they’d been doing before the arrival of Sheldon, Danr and Brian.

“Welcome,” a feeble voice came from the Devil Pond when Sheldon, Danr and Brian reached its vicinity following which three figures flew out it.

Sheldon, Danr and Brian had drastic changes in their expressions upon seeing the terrifying wounds on the bodies of the followers of Archdevil Mundus.

“I am Ross. Abaddon told me that you wish to know about the circumstance in which those kids of your family clan were saved?” Ross asked in a confused manner. Ross was a Soul Stealing Devil. Sheldon, Brain and Danr quickly nodded their heads.

Ross took a deep breath and quickly narrated the entire sequence of events that had taken place that day. Sheldon, Danr and Brain just looked at Ross with disbelief.

“Don’t look at us like that. We are telling the truth,” one of Ross’s companions said as he could tell what was going on in the minds of Sheldon, Danr and Brian. He was a Slime Devil.

Slime Devils look no different from humans except for their purple skin. The Slime Devil is a well-known species of humanoid devil and its entire body is covered in a slimy substance that is extremely poisonous. It can even endanger of the lives of beings with Cultivation Levels higher than it, depending on their bloodline purity. Slime Devils with Original-grade bloodline purity are as toxic as Emerald vipers with Original-grade bloodline purity.

“And one more thing. Archdevil Mundus has asked that we declare a Permanent Truce between the Devil race and both your family clans. We can also have an alliance, if you agree to that,” the other follower of Archdevil Mundus said with a fleeting smile. He was a Volcano Devil. Volcano Devils are also a humanoid devil species but have a bulky body entirely covered with red-hot scales. They are well-known for their terrifying c
ontrol over flame and for explosive strength.

Ross and the Slime Devil also nodded their heads in agreement. Sheldon, Danr and Brian were once again stunned by such an offer before wary expressions appeared on their faces. They knew that agreeing to such offers from devils always lead to humans paying a very bitter price in the end.

“I know that it might sound weird from our mouths, but this is the intention of Archdevil Mundus. You should ask your Main branches for more clarity about this matter,” Ross said, as he could tell the direction in which the thought processes of Sheldon, Danr and Brian were moving.

“We will contact you after consulting with our Main branch then,” Sheldon said while Danr opened a Teleportation portal to Heaven Sundering Family Clan. Sheldon, Danr and Brian disappeared into it as there was no point in staying there any longer. Sheldon and his two companions could tell that this had something to do with their Supreme Ancestor.

Sheldon, Danr and Brian’s quick return to the Heaven Sundering Family Clan shocked Hague as he’d been expecting some tussle before they’d be able to get any information from the followers of Archdevil Mundus. Sheldon quickly informed him about the entire matter while Danr informed Cenric via Mental-message transmission orb as the latter was in the Eternity Family Clan. Hague and Cenric were extremely shocked upon knowing about the conditions of Ross and his companions.

“I don’t think that this is the work of someone from the Grandura branch of our family clans, as no one has the strength to control such a powerful demon,” Cenric suggested earnestly. They were certain that this was the deed of a human, as a demon would never on its own attack members of the Devil race to save humans. They had already come to a dead end in their investigation, so the chances of solving the mystery behind the person who’d saved Shawn and company were next to nil.

“Can there be anyone else except for us from the Main branch on Grandura?” Hague couldn’t help but ask.
