“This is all due to your mutated soul,” Yama said with a grin. Ryan looked at Yama with a dazed expression before a happy one appeared on his face.

“Many beings wish for a soul like yours, as it would allow them to have as many avatars as they wanted,” Yama said with a chuckle. Ryan couldn’t help but smile when he heard this from Yama.

“Holy Shit!!! Doesn’t this mean that I don’t have to undergo the side effects of having either my avatar or my real body getting destroyed!” Ryan said in disbelief.

“You could say it that way,” Yama said with an evil smile.

“Doesn’t this mean that I am technically unkillable?!” Ryan asked with even more excitement.

“You can’t be killed by Immortals, but beings with a Cultivation Level above Celestial Realm have the ability to track all your avatars,” Yama said earnestly.

“Oh!!” Ryan was shocked for a second after hearing that.

“Isn’t there a way to avoid that detection?” Ryan asked somewhat expectantly.

“I will tell you about it when the time comes. You should head out and finish your Evil Avatar,” Yama reminded Ryan.

Ryan nodded and exited his Soul World in a euphoric manner. He could already tell from Yama’s tone, that he had a solution to that problem.

Ryan was amazed when he saw the changes that the Spectral Diamond had undergone after the portion of his soul had merged with it. It had transformed into a shiny-black humanoid figure that was standing straight though its eyes were closed. The body of the black humanoid looked as if it was made of a big black diamond. Ryan finally understood the reason Spectral Diamond was named so. It had features quite similar to Ryan’s and was his same height. Ryan could feel a feeble connection with it and he could control the black humanoid figure to a certain extent. Ryan immediately made the black humanoid figure stop releasing Apocalypse fumes with a single thought – which made a smile appear on Ryan’s face.

“Isa quickly hand me the Devil Treasures and Demonic Treasures,” Ryan said urgently. Isa was quick and started to hand Ryan the Treasures he’d collected one by one. Ryan touched them to the body of his Evil Avatar and they were instantly absorbed by its body. This continued until all the Demonic Treasures, Devil Treasures and the body of the Oblivion Demon were completely absorbed by the Evil Avatar.

Ryan then once again bit his forefinger and drew a rune on the forehead of the Evil Avatar. The rune started to shine with red light and soon the entire Evil Avatar was covered in the eerie red light. Ryan knew then that he could only wait until the Evil Avatar completed the process, so he and Isa sat in crossed legged positions and started to cultivate while patiently waiting for the Evil Avatar to complete.

Ryan felt the connection between him and the Evil Avatar strengthening with each passing day. The Evil Avatar opened its eyes after five days. It had blue eyes that were extremely enchanting. They were completely different from Asura eyes, which invoked fear in the beings that looked at them, while the blue eyes of his Evil Avatar made others feel at ease around him.

Ryan now felt as if the Evil Avatar was a part of his own body. He could see and hear what his Evil Avatar could see and hear. He was able to move his Evil Avatar’s body in whatever way he wanted with a single thought just like his own body. The Cultivation Level of his Evil Avatar was Late Mortal King Realm, the same as his real body. This was one of the perks of creating an Evil Avatar, as avatars created using most Avatar Martial Skills needed to cultivate in order to increase their Cultivation level.

A lot of information soon entered Ryan’s mind. This was the information related to the abilities gained by his Evil Avatar from the different Demonic Treasures and Devil Treasures he’d used. The Demonic and Devil powers possessed by his Evil Avatar were of Fire Attribute, Poison Attribute and Death Attribute but most of them were currently sealed, as the Cultivation Level of his Evil Avatar was insufficient for using them. The power displayed by the Demonic and Devil powers of the Evil Avatar depended directly on Ryan’s understanding in Elemental Laws. The fact that his avatar could release Apocalypse fumes elated Ryan the most, but with a rider now. The Apocalypse fumes that his avatar would release from now onwards would be less potent than before, but their potency would increase with the increase in his avatar’s Cultivation Level.

Ryan’s Evil Avatar underwent a drastic change after the red light that shrouded it completely disappeared. It now looked no different from Ryan right from skin-tone to facial-features, instead of having its previous black diamond body. The only difference was the aura released by the Evil Avatar, which was extremely demonic and devious in nature unlike the aura of Ryan’s real body.

The Evil Avatar disappeared from its spot at Ryan’s single thought and appeared in the white side of Ryan’s Soul World and sat there in a cross-legged position. Ryan had a happy expression.

“Congratulations Master,” Isa said after the Evil Avatar disappeared from his spot. He could tell that Ryan had been successful in his endeavor to create an Evil Avatar.

“Thanks,” Ryan said appreciatively, as he and Isa took off into the sky and flew towards the mountainous region. Isa and Ryan talked for some time after reaching the mountainous region before Isa left for Demon Continent to be with his family.

Ryan then returned to his cave and sat in his usual spot to refine his Skin as he intended to gain Immortal Skin at the earliest, so that he could advance to Early Mortal Emperor Realm. A smile appeared on Ryan’s face the moment he was about to start refining his skin as things had started to move in his direction. He knew that it was only a matter of time before a few of the Fire fiends under his control evolved into Fire-fiend Lords. He then closed his eyes and started to refine his skin without a care in the world.

Sheldon, Danr and Brian were currently drinking tea with gloating expressions in the living room of their residence in the Heaven Sundering Family Clan, while Nero informed them about the situation around Grandura.

“I am sure that Heretical Fire Fiend has some deep-rooted enmity with the Star Alliance and the Righteous Bandit Group,” Sheldon said with a smile.

“Everyone around Grandura has similar thoughts, as the Fire fiends are only attacking factions that are part of the Star Alliance and the Righteous Bandit Group. They don’t bother any other factions. The Star Alliance and the Righteous Bandit Group are being attacked by endless numbers of them at this moment. Factions other than the Dark Moon Family Clan and the Calamity Sect are currently in the process of abandoning their territories for the time being until the Heretical Fire Devil is found. They have no choice but to kill Fire fiends in large numbers, just to gain enough time to evacuate their faction members to safety. On the other hand, Martial Artists from the Main branch of the Dark Moon Family Clan and Calamity Sect are on a killing spree and have killed countless Fire fiends to stop the barriers around their Grandura branch factions from beings breached, since they don’t intend to abandon their territory. They have declared that they will be the one sealing any Fire-fiend Lord that appears on Grandura because of their slaughter,” Nero said with a wolfish smile.

“Let them enjoy the moment,” Danr said with a loud laugh.

“Ancestor, won’t it be dangerous for us if that Heretical Fire Devil bares its fang at us later on after dealing with the Star Alliance and the Righteous Bandit Group?” Nero asked in a concerned manner, as he thought of the consequences of killing so many Fire fiends.

“We will deal with the Fire fiends if they dare to bare their fangs at us. Currently, we have instructions from the Founders not to interfere in any manner,” Brian said with a soft laugh. Nero just nodded his head. Now that Heron and Herman knew that the Fire fiends on Grandura were related to Ryan, it was natural that they’d given such a dictate. They wanted to let Ryan get used to creating and controlling Fire fiends, while he was still on Grandura.

“Is there any news of the Heretical Fire Devil responsible for the R
ed Calamity?” Sheldon asked in worried tone. He knew that trouble would start brewing for their Grandura branches the moment the Red Calamity ended. Sheldon’s question even made Danr and Brian long-faced.

“All the factions have failed to trace it until now,” Nero replied, which immediately elated Sheldon, Danr and Brian.

Sheldon, Brian, Danr and Nero continued to chat while the factions that were part of the Star Alliance were in such perilous situations fighting with endless hordes of Fire fiends.

Two Fire-fiend Lords had appeared on Grandura after numerous Fire fiends were slaughtered within the time frame of just a few days by the members of the Star Alliance and the Righteous Bandit Group, the majority of them having been killed by the Calamity Sect and Dark Moon Family Clan.

The news regarding the appearance of Fire-fiend Lords had already taken the world by storm, but the news that came half an hour later that they’d been sealed soon after their appearance also brought relief to all of Grandura. One of the Fire-fiend Lords was sealed in Crimson sea by Leo and company and the other one was sealed by Jovian and company in Wailing Ravines. The search for the Heretical Fire Devil intensified afterwards, but it soon came to a grinding halt after the followers of Archdevil Mundus declared that the Heretical Fire Devil was no longer on Grandura and had most likely ascended to Divine Universe.

They declared this after failing to find the Heretical Fire Devil after using a Heretical Compass on Grandura. This compass had been specifically created for tracking Heretical Fire Devils and could only be created by Archdevils and operated by Devils. It had been sent by Devil Marich, after he came to know about the Red Calamity on Grandura. Devil Marich had asked them to quickly get rid of the Heretical Fire Devil and end the Red Calamity on Grandura. This artifact had the ability to trace a Heretical Fire Devil anywhere inside a world including countless Spatial spaces.

This news had shaken up all the factions of Grandura as they knew that the only means for ending the Red calamity without too much trouble was no longer possible. The chances of finding the Heretical Fire Devil responsible for the Red Calamity on Grandura in Divine Universe wasn’t feasible in the short term. Now, the only possible solution was brute force. A large number of Marital Artists with Cultivation Levels beyond Immortal would now have to kill Fire fiends at an extremely high rate, so that the Fire fiends were unable to recover their numbers and all the Fire-fiend Lords that appeared as a result had to be sealed.

All the factions that had their Main branches in Divine Universe informed their Main branches about this piece of news and asked them to send reinforcements at the earliest as the Red Calamity on Grandura could no longer be purged by them. They were certain that reinforcements from their Main branches would arrive within a ten to fourteen days.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

Leo and company had frustrated expressions at this moment as they looked at the endless number of Fire fiends charging at them. It had already been a day since they had sealed away a Fire-fiend Lord that had appeared in Crimson Sea. It had been an Azure Dragon Fire-fiend Lord.

Azure Dragons are Divine Beasts of Water. They look quite like Chinese Dragons but their entire body is covered in blue scales. Azure dragons are one of the strongest of the dragon species. They are well known for their supreme control of water and have the ability to transmute into water to avoid physical attack.

The Azure dragon Fire-fiend Lord’s entire body was covered in a large number of red streaks just like any other Fire fiend. It also possessed Mid-grade bloodline purity that allowed it to use numerous Innate Abilities of Azure dragons. It was a few kilometers in length. . Since the Azure dragon Fire-fiend Lord had already transformed into a Fire fiend, it would never be able to increase its bloodline purity further, though its combat prowess at the moment was no different from a Azure dragon with Original-grade bloodline purity. It possessed extremely terrifying regenerative abilities which made it extremely difficult for Leo and company to kill it with their suppressed Cultivation Levels, so they could only seal it.

The Azure dragon Fire-fiend Lord was sealed in a transparent barrier by Leo and company before moving it into the Spatial dimension of Grandura branch of Calamity Sect so that Fire fiends couldn’t attempt to free it.

“This will go on endlessly,” Leo said with an angry expression as he killed multiple Fire fiends with his sword. His words made his companions gloomy and angry, which made them kill the Fire fiends more ruthless. This had already been going on for quite a number of days and they had been endlessly killing Fire fiends. They had also incurred massive losses, as large numbers of the Heavenly Treasures that they’d left in their Treasure Lands had already been devoured or destroyed by the Fire fiends. So, their anger was natural.

“How long will it take for the reinforcement from the Main branches of the different Grandura factions to arrive?” Leo asked after a few moments in which he’d shot out thousands of swords beams which ripped apart thousands of Fire fiends – but even then there was no sign of their numbers decreasing.

“It shouldn’t take more than a week,” one of Leo’s companions said as he crushed the head of a Fire fiend.

“Good,” Leo said as a smile finally appeared on his face. His other companions couldn’t help but smile too.

The different factions of Grandura had already lost all hope of tracing the Heretical Fire Devil after the followers of Archdevil Mundus declared that they’d failed to find it after using the Heretical Compass and had declared that the Heretical Fire Devil responsible for the Red Calamity had already ascended to the Divine Universe right after starting it.

Leo and company continued to defend against the onslaught of endless numbers of Fire fiends. They had to make sure of the safety of the Calamity Sect.

Kiley and the other youngsters sent by the Silver Oak Sect were watching the fight taking place just outside the Sect from one of the balconies of the sect’s Main building with frustrated expressions. They knew that their plans to attack the Grandura branches of the Heaven Sundering and Eternity Family Clans to get more information regarding those odd wraiths and ghosts wasn’t possible anymore.

“The luck of those two family clans is extremely good,” Kiley said in an aggrieved tone. The Red Calamity had struck at the time when the Star Alliance was about to attack the Grandura branches of the Heaven Sundering and Eternity Family Clans.

“Well, it can’t be helped anymore, since lady luck is on their side,” a handsome young man said in an equally aggrieved tone. All the Martial Artists from the Silver Oak Sect and its subsidiary factions looked at this young man with reverence, which clearly showed that he was their leader. His name was Ishan and he had a Cultivation Level of Late Immortal Elite Realm. He was clearly one of the strongest amongst them. As well as his status in the Silver Oak Sect being high, he was a descendant of one of the Grand Elders of the Silver Oak Sect.

“All the factions except for the Dark Moon Family Clan and Calamity Sect that are part of the Star Alliance have more or less sustained heavy losses and they will enter a recovery phase after the end of Red Calamity. The Star Alliance won’t be of much use for helping us in collecting resources,” Kiley said far more churlishly. It was going to have wide ranging consequences for them.

The formation of the Star Alliance had been Grand Elder Shyam’s idea. Since the Star Alliance was the strongest organization on Grandura, it would have allowed the Calamity Sect to rule all of Grandura in some sense, as they were the leading voice in it – because they were backed by the Silver Oak Sect. This was supposed to have allowed Ishan and his companions to have indirect control over the Star Alliance. The fact that it was anti-Heaven Sundering Family Clan and anti-Eternity Family Clan was just a front created for recruiting a large number of local Grandura factions. The real objective from the start was to use the Star Alliance to accumulate the best Cultivation resources available on Grandura for Ishan and his cohort so that they could quickly increase their Cultivation Level
s and return to the Divine Universe at the earliest.

There were a myriad of reasons, their safety being the main one. If their identities were to be leaked, that would spell doom for them. The fact that they were on Grandura couldn’t be known, even after they after they’d retrieved the Asura Bone sword. Ishan, Kiley and a few others of their companions had talent high enough to easily become Primordial Gods in the future. The talents of Ishan and Kiley were the highest, which meant they might become Paragon Gods with ease in comparison to other Martial Artists.

The Silver Oak Sect had no lack of enemies and they would try their best to kill them without a doubt to make Silver Oak Sect incur a huge loss. That was the main reason the Silver Oak Sect had sent Ishan and company under the guise of Calamity Sect members to Grandura. They’d also made sure that the Main branch of the Calamity Sect dispatched quite a few of their powerhouses in God Realm to make sure that they remained safe on Grandura.

The Silver Oak Sect had been unable to send their Primordial Gods to Grandura even secretly to keep Ishan and company safe and help them in accumulating resources, since Primordial Gods are unable to enter worlds in the Mortal Universe.

The Silver Oak Sect had felt that there was no point in sending any more God Realm Martial Artists to support Ishan and company, as they found Leo and company adequate for making sure of their security – as long as their cover wasn’t blown. Any more God Realm experts by their sides would be useless. If Ishan’s and his companions’ cover was blown, it would be an uphill task for Leo and company to keep them safe, as they would have to deal with an endless number of powerful God Realm beings entering Grandura armed with powerful Divine Artifacts and charms made by Primordial Gods to kill Ishan and company. In that situation, the Silver Oak Sect would also be unable to do much to keep Ishan and his companions safe.

Ishan and company had already received all the Heavenly Treasures within the vault of the Grandura branch of the Calamity Sect, that were suitable for their Cultivation right after their arrival on Grandura, but that wasn’t enough for them to reach Late Immortal Saint Realm and then condense some Celestial runes after that. That was the reason why Grand Elder Shyam had come up with the idea of the Star Alliance. He wanted to use the Star Alliance to target the Heavenly Treasures in the numerous Treasure Lands that were under the control of the factions that weren’t part of the Star Alliance, including those of the demon factions, Devil Kings, Elemental Beasts and other non-human races for the sake of Ishan and company.
