His Hell’s Fire flame and Devil’s flame now had the ability to burn beings with a Cultivation Level of Late Mortal Emperor Realm into nothingness.

“Master, I am done collecting both Demon treasures and Devil treasures in large numbers. Can you summon me?” Isa’s Mental-message transmission rang in Ryan’s mind. Ryan’s body had also stabilized by then.

“Wait a minute,” Ryan said as he walked out of the cave following which a large number of runes appeared on his body and a spatial rift opened right above him. Isa flew out of it with a jubilant smile.

“Now, let’s go and collect the Spectral Diamond,” Ryan said with excitement as all the building blocks for his avatar, except for the Spectral diamond, were already in place and the Red Calamity was unstoppable. Isa nodded his head as he opened a portal to Wailing Ravines.

Ryan still had roughly three months until the Ancient Legacy Land opened.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

The Dark Moon Family Clan comprised numerous mansions and grandiose buildings that were spread over one hundred square kilometers. It looked quite like a city. The entire Dark Moon Family Clan was covered in a dark-green barrier and outside this barrier countless Fire fiends were growling and viciously attacking the barrier. The number of Fire fiends attacking the barrier were still not many, because of which the barrier was holding them back efficiently.

From inside the barrier the members of the Dark Moon Family Clan were looking at the Fire fiends with furious expressions. They’d incurred massive losses from the Red Calamity in the form of losses of many Heavenly Treasures.

Jovian and his three companions from the Main branch of the Dark Moon Family Clan were no different from the members of their Grandura branch. They were hovering high above the skies above the Dark Moon Family Clan watching the Fire fiends outside the dark-green barrier with furious expressions.

The Grandura branch of the Dark Moon Family Clan had just recently started to recover its strength after its near annihilation at the hands of Raymond, which would have allowed them to return to the Divine Universe quickly, but the Red Calamity would make sure that they remained on Grandura for a far longer time. The Grandura branch had lost quite a large number of Heavenly Treasures which would further reduce the speed at which they would recover their former strength. They didn’t like staying on Grandura as they were unable to cultivate, so it was natural that they were furious at that moment.

“If by chance I catch that fucker I am going to make him regret every single second that he lives after that,” Jovian said as he watched the Fire fiends.

“Our luck is truly bad. I had already started to plan the things I would do after returning to the Divine Universe,” one of Jovian’s companions said with a sigh. He was black-haired youth named Priscus.

“I think we’ll have to stay here for another ten thousand years or more,” another one of Jovian’s companion said gloomily, a middle-aged man with white hair called Rambert.

Jovian, Priscus and another one of their blonde middle-aged companions named Sid couldn’t help but sigh upon hearing that, as they helplessly watched the Fire fiends. If not for the problem associated with killing Fire fiends, they would have already slaughtered all the ones in Wailing Ravines to calm their anger.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

Wailing Ravines looked no different from before the Red Calamity, except that all the beings in it were Fire fiends. They were currently rampaging around Wailing Ravines and had taken over all the Treasure Lands there.

A Teleportation portal opened in the exterior region of Wailing Ravines. Ryan and Isa flew out of it. They had come to collect the Spectral Diamond, which was within its Inner region. Isa had deliberately opened the Teleportation portal so far from the Inner region, as it would have alerted the Dark Moon Family Clan otherwise, which was something that they didn’t want to do, as they’d come to commit a robbery. They flew directly towards the Spectral Diamond at high speed.

A smile appeared on Ryan’s face upon seeing the countless Fire fiends that currently occupied the numerous Treasure Lands of the Wailing Ravines. He had made the Fire fiends take over the Treasure Lands of the Dark Moon Family Clan after he came to know via his Fire fiends about the harvesting of Heavenly Treasures by the Dark Moon Family Clan. He wouldn’t allow that, as he wished to make them incur a great loss as well as make sure the Spectral Diamond wasn’t harvested.

Later on, when his Fire fiends reached the Spectral Diamond’s location, he realized that his worries for it were without basis. He then found out that the Spectral Diamond in the Wood Attribute Treasure Land of the Dark Moon Family Clan was an abandoned Heavenly Treasure, as it released some terrifying black fumes that destroyed everything that came into contact with it. Those black fumes covered half the Wood Attribute Treasure Land and the part of the Wood Attribute Treasure Land covered in black fumes was completely destroyed. The Fire fiends had also sent him some visuals of the area of the Wood Attribute Treasure Land submerged within the black fumes.

“Those are Apocalypse fumes. They are only produced when a Divine World naturally dies. The Spectral Diamond must have previously been on some dying Divine World because of which it was able to absorb massive quantities of Apocalypse fumes. That must have triggered a change in it, so now it is able to produce and continuously ooze Apocalypse fumes. It will be a perfect Creation Treasure for you since you wish to create an Evil Avatar, as there is a very high chance of its gaining the ability to release Apocalypse fumes,” Yama had said at the time after seeing the visuals sent by the Fire fiends. Ryan had been extremely elated on hearing those words of Yama’s.

The information that the Righteous Bandit Group had sold to Raymond and Emerson about the Spectral Diamond had turned out to be partly false. They’d provided no information about the Apocalypse fumes and on the contrary had told Raymond and Emerson that it was under heavy protection. Ryan had also believed that info was correct and had assumed that the only reason the Spectral Diamond hadn’t been harvested until now was to allow its grade to further increase with the passage of time. Since the Spectral Diamond was a Neutral Attribute Heavenly Treasure, it could absorb Elemental Energy of any Attribute to slowly and steadily increase its grade.

Ryan had decided to make the Righteous Bandit Group pay a heavy price. So, he sent large number of hordes of Fire fiends to the Grandura branch of the Righteous Bandit Group’s hideout.

Ryan could tell that from Yama’s explanation that the Dark Moon Family Clan had given up on the Spectral Diamond that had fallen in their Wood Attribute Treasure Land long ago, as they couldn’t think of a way to use it to refine an avatar, since the portion of soul placed in it would get destroyed instantly. Yama had told Ryan that he wouldn’t have to worry about that because of his abnormal soul.

“Master, can you send Fire fiends to attack the Calamity Sect?” Isa asked with great expectation.

“There’s no need to worry about that. I sent a group of them to infect a large number of creatures in Crimson Sea sometime ago. It won’t take long before the island on which the Calamity Sect is established will be besieged by Fire fiends,” Ryan said with an evil smile. He had also sent Fire fiends to infect creatures in the territories of all the other factions that were part of Star Alliance some time ago.

“Thanks Master,” Isa said with loud laugh.

“I just hope that the different factions on Grandura quickly start slaughtering Fire fiends,” Ryan said with a hopeful expression, as that would enable the birth of Fire-fiend Lords.

“That is not going to happen until they lose all hope of finding the Heretical Fire Devil – or the Fire fiends are able to breach the barriers of their factions,” Isa said with an evil smile. Ryan couldn’t help but laugh out loud on hearing Isa’s words.

Ryan and Isa soon reached the Wood Attribute Treasure Land where the Spectral Diamond had fallen after coming from Outer space. They entered the Apocalypse fumes wit
hout fear given that both of them had Asura physiques which made them immune to Apocalypse fumes, as Apocalypse fumes are of Death Attribute. Isa already knew about Apocalypse fumes, because Ryan had informed him right after he’d come to know about it from Yama.

Ryan and Isa saw the part of the Wood Attribute Treasure Land covered in Apocalypse fumes was barren and lifeless as they’d expected. They soon reached a giant crater that was oozing out Apocalypse fumes and the Spectral Diamond was lying in the crater.

Ryan and Isa then flew towards the crater to retrieve the Spectral Diamond. They were only able to see the Spectral Diamond after coming close to it, as the Apocalypse fumes were extremely dense around it making it impossible to see it from a distance. The Spectral Diamond looked quite like a large lump of graphite instead of diamond, which made Ryan wonder why it was called Spectral Diamond and not Spectral Graphite.

“You will come to know about that after forming an avatar,” Yama’s voice rang in Ryan’s mind, as he could tell what Ryan was thinking.

Ryan took out Death Sword from his Soul World and instantaneously opened the portal to Death dimension. He picked up the Spectral Diamond and threw it into the portal. That was the only reason he’d gone there. If Isa had come here all alone, it would have been extremely difficult for him to take the Spectral Diamond to Starlight Forest. He would then have had to fly with it all the way to Shimmering Sky Continent, as he would have been unable to store it in a Spatial pouch or something similar, as the Apocalypse fumes would have destroyed it. He would also have been unable to take it in a Teleportation portal for the very same reason. In addition, Isa would have had to deal with the members of the Main branches of the Dark Moon Family Clan, if he’d tried to fly with it all the way to Shimmering Sky Continent, which was something Ryan didn’t want at this stage. Yama had told him that he could use Death dimension to store the Spectral Diamond.

Ryan then closed the portal and sent Death Sword back to his Soul World. Death Sword didn’t even wake up from his deep sleep-state even when the Spectral Diamond was placed into it. This made Ryan sigh with relief, as it meant that Death Sword wasn’t uncomfortable or in danger.

“Let’s go back,” Ryan said as Isa opened a Teleportation portal to Starlight Forest. Ryan and Isa quickly disappeared into it.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

Jovian, his companions and other higher-ups of the Grandura branch of the Dark Moon Family Clan had changes in expression, as they clearly felt the Spatial fluctuation that was clearly associated with the opening of a Teleportation portal, but it baffled them.

Jovian and his companions from the Main branch instantly flew to the location the Wood Attribute Treasure Land. They had looks of disbelief as they neared the location of the Spectral Diamond. They could already tell that the Spectral Diamond had been taken away as the Apocalypse fumes had started to thin in the area around the crater.

“Who could have taken that useless piece of Spectral Diamond?” Sid asked with a look of disbelief. They knew that the black fumes released by the Spectral Diamond were Apocalypse fumes, so they knew of the difficulty associated in taking the Spectral Diamond away from there.

“Let’s see if that bastard left some clues,” Jovian said as he descended into the crater. He covered his entire body with extremely dense Spirit Power to avoid his body being destroyed by the Apocalypse fumes and his companions followed suit.

They all had aggrieved expressions after being unable to find anything of significance.

“It’s good thing that piece of junk was taken away by someone,” Priscus joked.

“Dumbass! If that bastard has the ability to take it away, he could use it to create himself a powerful avatar,” Jovian chided Priscus. Jovian’s words immediately made his companions realize the significance of this event. They themselves were unable to touch the Spectral Diamond even with their Cultivation Levels, which made them think about the being that took away the Spectral Diamond with sullen expressions.

“Let’s return and inform the Head about it,” Jovian said as he flew back to the family clan and his companions followed, as there was no point staying there anymore.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

Ryan and Isa were in a jolly mood after their return to the mountainous region of Starlight Forest. He along with Isa moved quite a distance away from the mountainous region as he wished to create his Evil Avatar. According to the Evil Avatar Martial Skill Manual, the creation of the avatar might lead to the release of an endless amount of dangerous Demonic and Devil Energies. In addition, the Spectral Diamond would also ooze out Apocalypse fumes and Ryan was certain that that would disturb Tondenth, as the latter was cultivating diligently and was in a deep Cultivation state.

The process of making an avatar was extremely tedious, as it required the Martial Artist to tear a portion of his soul which was extremely painful. Ryan knew about the pain but he didn’t care, as long as he had another life-line when he entered the Ancient Legacy Land.

Ryan and Isa descended into a grassland that was a few hundred kilometers from the mountainous region. It was within Tondenth’s territory, so they didn’t have worry about any Immortal Realm creatures coming to create trouble for them.

“Master, you can be at peace while creating your avatar. I will guard you,” Isa said as he took out all the Demonic and Devil Treasures that he’d been collecting all this while. The air around them was immediately contaminated by Demon and Devil Treasures. Their attributes were of Fire Attribute, or Death Attribute or Poison Attribute. If these Treasures were used while creating the Evil Avatar, then Ryan’s Evil Avatar would possess Fire Attribute, Death Attribute and Poison Attribute. The grassland instantly turned barren and all its creatures instantly died.

Isa even took out the body of the Oblivion Demon that he’d previously slain. Ryan couldn’t help but be intrigued when he looked at it, as it was the first time he’d seen an Oblivion Demon.

“Master, you should also use this guy’s body. I am sure that it will make your avatar even stronger,” Isa said with a smile. Ryan nodded his head, as the dead bodies of powerful demons and devils of Death Attribute can also be used to make an Evil Avatar.

“Isa protect these Treasures and the body of the Oblivion Demon from the Apocalypse fumes,” Ryan said in a grave tone.

Isa nodded and immediately covered them in his Elemental Energy to avoid them being destroyed by the Apocalypse fumes.

Ryan took out Death Sword from his Soul World and then opened the portal to Death dimension. The Spectral Diamond immediately flew out it and slammed onto the ground not far from him. The portal closed afterwards and he sent Death Sword back to his Soul World. The Apocalypse fumes from the Spectral Diamond immediately submerged the entire surroundings. The huge lump of Spectral Diamond was large enough for three people to make themselves an avatar, but Ryan had decided to use the entire lump. This would further increase the hardness and toughness of his avatar and it might even gain some powerful defensive abilities. He then sat in front of the Spectral Diamond and prepared to create his Evil Avatar.

  Ch.19

Ryan had studied the Evil Avatar Martial Skill until he’d understood every aspect of it long before he went to collect the Spectral Diamond, so he knew every stage of the creation of the Evil Avatar like the back of his hand. He bit the tip of his forefinger and started to draw runes on the Spectral Diamond with it. He needed to bite the tip his finger every ten seconds as his finger would completely heal within that time-frame.

According to the Evil Avatar Martial Skill, Ryan was required to draw one hundred eight runes on the Spectral Diamond to create his Evil Avatar. The runes weren’t as complicated as the ones for the Evil Fire Spirit Martial Skill had been, so Ryan had an easy time and it didn’t take long for him to draw all hundred eight of them. Ryan’s blood didn’t dry or get decayed or destroyed by the Apocalypse fumes either, as it had the same properties as the blood of a real Asura
. If his blood had been like the blood of a normal human, he wouldn’t have been able to use this lump of Spectral Diamond.

Ryan placed his hands on the lump of Spectral Diamond and started to channel his Death Attribute Spirit Power into it. The runes that Ryan had previously drawn with his blood started to shine with eerie red light after Ryan had been channeling his Death Attribute Spirit Power for half an hour. Ryan took a deep breath as he looked at the red runes: he knew that it was finally time for him to tear a portion of his soul and seal it into the Avatar. He continued to place his hand on the Spectral Diamond as he closed his eyes and sent his consciousness into his Soul World. He looked at his Martial Spirits. Earl was still undergoing mutation and Dargar was busy cultivating Poison Elemental Laws. Dargar had been in a deep Cultivation state for the past few days – he’d started cultivating as he’d gotten bored.

“Don’t mind me, just concentrate on tearing a portion of your soul,” Yama said in an emotionless voice. Ryan looked at Yama crossly as his words lacked any kind of emotion or encouragement and his face was still emotionless. Ryan wanted to smack him at that moment, since the pain associated with tearing a portion of his soul was heart-wrenching. Ryan just ignored Yama and tried to concentrate on tearing a portion of his soul, at the same time as he prepared his heart for the incoming heart-wrenching pain.

Ryan’s looked at his black-colored mutated soul with an intense expression as he made a few hand signs according to the Evil Avatar Martial Skill for tearing a portion of his soul. Ryan’s soul was covered in red light after he made the final hand signs following which a portion of his soul separated from his soul. The separated part flew out of his body and entered the Spectral Diamond.

Ryan had a stunned look when he looked at his soul. It had already regrown from the spot where the portion of it had separated – and it looked no different from before! The thing that shocked him the most was that he’d had felt no pain, when the portion separated from the rest of his soul!
