The factions that were part of the Star Alliance would also have profited from it immensely, as Calamity Sect would only have taken things that would’ve been beneficial for Ishan and company in their cultivation. That would’ve ensured they had no problems with their plans.

Leo and his surviving companions from the Main branches of Calamity Sect couldn’t help Ishan and company in collecting resources, otherwise within no time at all the Main branches of the different Grandura factions would have sent reinforcements to Grandura to fight them. So, Shyam had no choice but to use only the Martial Artists of Grandura to do his bidding and to only target their Treasure Lands occasionally, so as not to trigger any major reaction from their Main branches.

“I have already sent a Mental-message transmission to Grand Elder Shyam. He will do something about it,” Ishan said with great confidence. He was certain that Grand Elder Shyam would think of a way and everyone couldn’t help but agree with him.

“So, we are not going to let off the Grandura branches of the Heaven Sundering Family Clan and the Eternity Family Clan?” one of Ishan’s companions couldn’t help but ask.

“The Main branches of the factions that are part of Star Alliance should be sending reinforcements soon. We can use them to eradicate both clans and also use that opportunity to Soul scan them to find out whether they have any link with those weird wraiths or ghosts,” Ishan said ruthlessly. His companions nodded their heads in agreement.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

The situation at the Dark Moon Family Clan was no different from at the Calamity Sect. Jovian and his companions were also battling endless hordes of Fire fiends just like Leo and company. They had sealed a Vortex wolf Fire-fiend Lord some time ago. It was sealed in the same manner as the Azure dragon Fire-fiend Lord and shifted to one of the Spatial spaces of the Dark Moon Family Clan.

Vortex Wolves are an Ancient Beast of Wind. They look no different from regular wolves except for their huge size and pure-white fur. They are well known for their terrifying speed and their ability to turn the air surrounding them into a shield and a weapon. They can create terrifying tornados at a mere thought. They can also transmute their bodies into wind and during that time are impervious to physical attack. Their bodies are extremely sturdy, given that they are an Ancient Beast.

The Vortex Wolf Fire-fiend Lord had a number of red streaks on its white fur. They were also a symbol of its being a Fire fiend and they emitted blazing heat. The Vortex Wolf Fire-fiend Lord still possessed its Vortex Wolf bloodline, even though it had already transformed into a Fire fiend. It had Mid-grade bloodline purity just like it’d had before transforming into a Fire fiend, which allowed it to use the Innate Abilities of the Vortex Wolf. Just like Azure dragon Fire-fiend Lord, it would also never be able to increase its bloodline purity further, though its combat prowess at the moment was no different from a Vortex Wolf with Original-grade bloodline purity.

The attacks of Jovian and his companions had been unable to harm it at all, because their Cultivation Levels had been suppressed to Late Immortal Saint Realm – in the same way that Leo and company were unable to harm the Azure dragon Fire-fiend Lord. So, it too could only be sealed by them.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

The factions that were part of the Star Alliance other than the Calamity Sect and the Dark Moon Family Clan and the Righteous Bandit Group had already been destroyed, as they didn’t have Martial Artists with Cultivation Levels beyond Immortal Realm to hold the ground for them. Only around half the members of their factions were lucky enough to abandoned their territories in time to avoid complete annihilation at the hands of Fire fiends. All they could do was just take their territories back from the Fire fiends once the reinforcements arrived from their respective Main branches.

  Ch.20

Ryan stopped refining his skin when he felt a terrifying energy ripple originate from the white side of his Soul World.

Earl was going to wake up soon!!!!

Ryan immediately sent his consciousness into the black side of his Soul World.

The white side of his Soul World had become extremely turbulent from the massive amount of heat energy being constantly released by Earl. Yama and Dargar were already watching Earl with unblinking eyes. The powerful energy ripple had earlier woken up Dargar from his deep Cultivation state too. He was stunned for a second on seeing Earl releasing so much heat energy and could tell that Earl was undergoing some strange mutation.

“He’s once again undergoing some strange mutation,” Yama said the moment Ryan appeared in the black side of his Soul World.

“What is he evolving into?” Ryan asked in amazement.

“We will come to know soon,” Yama said with a smile on his face.

“He is turning to a freak with each passing day,” Dargar joked and his words made Yama and Ryan laugh out loud, but then they started to watch Earl with full concentration.

Earl started to emit more and more heat energy with the passage of time and soon he grew an extra head which shocked Ryan, Dargar and Yama.

“Is he going to turn into a two-headed snake or something similar?” Ryan couldn’t help but wonder, though he was still quite thrilled. Similar things were going on in the minds of Dargar and Yama.

Earl looked like an otherworldly being. His old head was still the same as before but the new head that he’d grown from the end of his neck was completely made up of Undead flames, while the color of the flames that made up his body below his neck had turned sky-blue in color. The sky-blue flame had been born after the fusion of Devil’s flame and Undead flame.

“What the hell is happening to my Soul Core?” Ryan asked in a somewhat alarmed manner when he noticed the changes that his Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Core in the white side of his Soul World had suddenly started to undergo. Yama and Dargar couldn’t also help but look at Ryan’s Soul Core with stunned expressions. It was burning with sky-blue flames but had two fire-balls revolving around it in different orbits. One of the fire-balls was made of Devil’s flame while the other one was made of Undead flame. The layout was quite like that of a solar system. Ryan had never heard or read about something like that happening to someone’s Soul Core.

“I have no idea what is happening to your Soul Core, but I am certain of one thing: this will allow you to use Devil’s flame as well as Undead flame even though Earl previously devoured the Undead flame – which is a good thing,” Yama said after analyzing the situation.

That isn’t possible normally, as the flame already possessed by the Martial Spirit of the Martial Artist will fuse with the flame, that is newly devoured by the Martial Spirit. This leads to the birth of a new flame, completely different from both the flames whose fusion caused it. There are a lot of flames with unique properties like Devil flame, which can suppress Undead creatures. Most times, Martial Artists avoid fusing two flames, as the flame born from their fusion doesn’t possess all their separate properties.

In the case where a Martial Artist doesn’t wish to fuse the newly absorbed flame with the one already possessed by his or her Martial Spirit, the newly absorbed Heavenly flame or Evil flame has to be turned into a Fire seed, which remains in his or her Soul World, where its power can be harnessed at his or her discretion.

Ryan was thrilled to hear Yama’s words, as he understood how much he was gaining from his Soul Core undergoing this transformation.

“By the way, what is Earl mutating into?” Ryan asked in an intrigued manner, as he was unable to come to a conclusion on his own.

“No one can explain that except for him. All Heavenly Fire Elementals undergo different kinds of evolution with the passage of time, so let’s wait as he will be waking up soon,” Yama said with a serene expression.

The heat energy released by Earl had become extremely turbulent which in turn had increased the temperature in the white side of Ryan’s Soul World drastically. This fact alone showed that if not for Ryan posse
ssing Asura Physique, this heaven-defying situation could not have occurred.

The eyes of both serpentine heads opened slowly following which Earl stopped releasing heat energy. Pleased expressions appeared in all of them, when they saw Ryan, Yama and Dargar.

“Hey Earl, does this new head of yours possesses his own will or it is just for show,” Dargar asked in a captivated manner. His question was targeted at Earl’s white head.

“We are both Earl,” both heads said simultaneously.

Ryan and Dargar looked at Earl in confusion.

“He means that both heads are governed by the same mind and will,” Yama said with a chortle. Ryan and Dargar finally understood and nodded their heads.

“Earl, if you devour a number of Evil flames or Heavenly flames will the number of your heads increase?” Ryan asked with great interest.

“The flame strength should be comparable to Devil’s flame or Undead flame,” the blue head of Earl said. Earl’s words immediately made Ryan enthralled because of the seamless fusion of the Devil’s flame and Undead flame, which had given birth to the sky-blue flame burning around one of his Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Cores and also around Earl’s lower body – and he was still able to use both the Devil’s flame and Undead flame separately even after their fusion!

“Earl, what is the specialty of that sky-blue flame?” Ryan couldn’t help but ask excitedly. He was certain it was even more dangerous than Devil’s flame, Undead flame, and Hell’s Fire flame.

“That flame is completely different from Undead flame and Devil’s flame, though it has some of their properties. You should be able to burn beings around two sub-realms higher than yourself to death with the sky-blue flame without them being able to resist at all. It is far more terrifying than Hell’s Fire flame, Devil’s flame and Undead flame, but it requires a huge amount of Spirit Power, so you can only use it for a limited number of times before you run out of Spirit Power – until you reach the Immortal Realm. It will be best if you keep it as a trump-card for dangerous situations.” Earl had started off his explanation excitedly but his excitement had waned as he came to the later part of it.

“A few times should be enough to allow me to get out of sticky situations,” Ryan said with an evil smile, as he thought of different situations in which he could use the sky-blue flame.

“Ryan, I think we can now start on the plan, that we’d previously thought about,” Yama said with a sly smile.

“Don’t worry – I am already on it. We will soon have a Fire-fiend Lord with both Death Attribute and Fire Attribute that is worthy of being turned into my Evil Fire Spirit,” Ryan said with an evil smile. Ryan had made one Fire fiend hide in a safe location until it evolved into a Fire-fiend Lord. That one was currently the strongest of all Ryan’s Fire fiends, so it would be the one that evolved into a Fire-fiend Lord the moment sufficient numbers of Fire fiends died.

Ryan’s body was suddenly covered in Unholy black light and Fiery red light. Earl was also covered in similar lights inside Ryan’s Soul World and one of the seals on his body started to shine brightly in comparison to the other seals on his body. A smile appeared on the faces of Ryan and his Martial Spirits. One of Earl’s Innate abilities was unsealing as it had undergone a mutation. The seal disappeared after some time and the information about the new Innate ability appeared in Ryan’s mind. The Unholy black light and Fiery red light covering Ryan and Earl also disappeared at that moment.

The excitement of Ryan and his Martial Spirits increased as they analyzed the new Innate ability. It was a support-type Innate ability, that would allow Ryan to sense all kinds of Heavenly Treasures, Demon Treasures, Devil Treasures and so on within a region spanning a few thousand kilometers. It would turn Ryan into a treasure seeking compass and the sensing range of this Innate ability would increase as his Cultivation Level increased.

“This Innate ability will help you out a lot inside the Ancient Legacy Land,” Earl said with a jaunty laugh. Ryan, Yama and Dargar couldn’t help but agree with him.

“Let’s call it Treasure Sense,” Yama suggested, about which no one had any problem.

Ryan talked with his Martial Spirits for some time before he exited his Soul World. He was exhilarated as he could finally test both the sky-blue flame and Undead flame as well as the newly gained Innate ability.

At a single thought Ryan’s right hand was ignited with sky-blue flames. The sky-blue flame didn’t give off a dangerous or evil aura but the heat released by it was manyfold more than for Devil’s flame and Hell’s Fire flame.

Ryan had a sudden change of expression as he felt the Fire Attribute Spirit Power in the Soul Core in the white side of his Soul World depleting at a terrifying speed.

“I can attack with this flame only twice before I empty both my Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Cores at my current Cultivation Level,” Ryan realized, as he transformed the sky-blue flame burning his hand into a small fire-ball. He shot the fire-ball at a nearby cluster of rocks, which turned into molten lava upon contact. However, the fire-ball didn’t lose its power and continued to move without slowing down before Ryan extinguished it.

A smile appeared on Ryan’s face, as the cluster of rocks was made of a rare metal called asementium, which was known to have an extremely high resistance towards Fire Attribute. It is generally used by Alchemists to make Cauldrons. Ryan had been unable to melt that cluster of rocks with Hell’s Fire flame previously at his current Cultivation Level. That alone showed the formidability of the sky-blue flame.

“What should we call this new flame?” Ryan asked his Martial Spirits.

“I was thinking of calling it Sky-devouring flame,” Earl said, as he puffed his chest a little.

“I like that name,” Ryan said with a delirious laugh.

Ryan used Treasure sense next which made his lips curl up in delight. At that moment he could sense every Plant Spirit, Heavenly Treasure and so on within the area of a few thousand square kilometers.

Ryan then started to cultivate Fire Elemental Laws to recover his Spirit Power. After a few hours he’d recovered it, following which he once again started to refine his skin as he intended attaining Immortal Skin at the earliest.

Time passed and after a few days, Ryan opened his eyes and he stopped refining his skin – and a joyous expression appeared on his face. Ryan’s third Fire-fiend Lord had appeared just a few seconds ago.

“It will best if you quickly create your third Evil Fire Spirit. If we go by the information that Isa has given us, the Martial Artists from the Main branches of the different factions of Grandura will be arriving within one or two days. We have no idea whether they will have the means of finding Fire-fiend Lords in hiding,” Yama’s voice rang in Ryan’s mind.

Ryan had previously asked Isa to try and collect information about the probable arrival of the Martial Artists of the Main branches of the different Grandura factions, so Isa had used his puppets in Calamity Sect to get that information.

“Yama is correct. You should heed his advice,” Earl urged. Currently, Dargar was in a deep Cultivation state, but if he hadn’t been, his reaction wouldn’t have been any different from Yama’s and Earl’s.

“I will ask it to come here immediately,” Ryan said, as he himself had a very bad feeling about this entire situation. He quickly called his third Fire-fiend Lord to him.

The third Fire-fiend Lord was quick come to the mountainous region, as it had been hiding in Starlight Forest under Ryan’s instructions. It was also the only Fire fiend on Shimmering Sky Continent at present.

Tondenth was quite alarmed when the Fire-fiend Lord approached the mountainous region. Ryan asked him to stop just as he was about to make a move on it. Ryan had been expecting something like, that as Tondenth had been cultivating all this while and had no idea that he’d gained Red Calamity Innate Ability. Ryan quickly filled him in with the details. Tondenth was shocked at first – and then became extremely happy, as he was thankful he’d formed an Equal contract with such a fr
eak. He then went back to cultivating Elemental Laws and condensing Celestial runes.

Ryan’s third Fire-fiend Lord had initially been a male Underworld Fenrir before transforming into a Fire fiend. He looked no different from fictional werewolves in Ryan’s previous life. His entire body was covered in pitch-black fur, which had numerous red streaks just like any other Fire fiend. He stood at about eight feet tall and had an extremely muscular body with exceptionally sharp claws, that gave a dangerous feeling to anyone looking at them. He had a Cultivation Level in the Late Immortal Saint Realm.

A Fenrir is an extremely rare evolution that all Wolf-type Elemental Beasts can undergo. There is a slight chance that a Wolf-type Elemental Beast will evolve into a Fenrir just before its death by torture. The chances of a Wolf-type Elemental Beast evolving into a Fenrir are very close to zero, so this makes a Fenrir quite a rare being even in the Divine Universe. A Fenrir possesses Original-grade bloodline purity of the Wolf-type Elemental Beast from which it evolved, so it can increase its Cultivation Level at a frightening pace. The power displayed by all the Innate Abilities of Wolf-type Elemental Beasts dramatically increases after evolving into a Fenrir.

Ryan’s Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord was originally an Underworld Wolf before he evolved into a Fenrir, after he’d been used as an experimental subject by a human alchemist. Underworld Wolves are one of the strongest Wolf-type Elemental Beasts and are known for their terrifying might and their ability to raise ghosts. The beings they kill are reborn as ghosts that are extremely loyal to them. The number of ghost subordinates that they can have depends on their bloodline purity and their Cultivation Level.
