“Boy, don’t worry. I will have Nero send a Grand Elder to discuss the marriage between you and Cynthia,” Sheldon said with a hearty laugh.

“Thanks Grandpa,” Ryan said as a big smile appeared on his face.

“How’s your training going on?” Sheldon asked in a concerned manner, as he knew the stronger Ryan was the better he’d perform inside the Ancient Legacy Land, even if he did have Thorn and Lachesis by his side.

“Nice. I might soon advance to the Late Mortal Lord Realm,” Ryan said philosophically. He couldn’t say his actual Cultivation Level, as he had no means of explaining it since he intended to keep Earl a secret.

“Good. Try advancing to Early Mortal King Realm,” Sheldon said in an enthusiastic manner. He was certain that he would then be less of a burden to Thorn and would at least be able to keep his life safe in case something went wrong inside the Ancient Legacy Land.

Ryan and Sheldon talked for some time before they ended their discussion. Ryan finally sighed with relief before a satisfied smile appeared on his face.

“Rai will now try to kill you with all his might and he might ask others entering the Ancient Legacy Land for help,” Earl cautioned.

“I know,” Ryan said as fighting spirit burned in his eyes.

“If you increase your Cultivation Level to Early Mortal Saint Realm at least you can deal with Rai on your own and anyone else helping him,” Yama said in a determined tone. Ryan, Dargar, Earl couldn’t help but agree with Yama.

“How long do you intend to keep the matter of Ishan and company a secret from your family clans?” Dargar asked in a reflective manner.

“Until I can think of a good excuse,” Ryan said in a downbeat voice. He knew that he would face a lot of trouble at that time in convincing his family clans. He was still unable to think of a way to prove his claims about Ishan and company without disclosing about Isa. That was the only thing that had been stopping him from telling his family clans about them as well as the Asura Bone sword.

Ryan soon put the matter of informing his family clans about Ishan and company at the back of his head and started searching for a Mortal Sage Realm Beast to hunt.

  Ch.24

In the next few days Ryan burned thousands of Early Mortal Sage Realm beings and Mid Mortal Sage Realm beings to death which allowed his insights and understanding in Fire Elemental Laws and Death Elemental Laws to soar at a tremendous rate. This continued until they’d reached the threshold requirement for advancing his Soul Cores to the Mid Mortal Sage Realm. He returned to his small cave once again to refine his bones and advance his Death Fire Dual Attribute Souls Cores.

The Heaven Sundering Family Clan and the Eternity Family Clan also started testing the youngsters wishing to enter the Ancient Legacy Land. The earlier criteria set by Sheldon and company for entry were loosened up greatly for a myriad of reasons.

The main reason was the disbanding of the Star Alliance, following which the members of the factions that were once part of the Star Alliance had completely stopped messing with the members of the Grandura branches of the Heaven Sundering Family Clan and the Eternity Family Clan. Sheldon and his companions expected similar behavior from the youngsters of the factions that were once part of the Star Alliance after entering the Ancient Legacy Land. It would bring their factions a lot of trouble if those youngsters tried to harm any of the youngsters from the Grandura branches of the family clans who came out of the Ancient Legacy Land to tell the tale, or if they were unable to erase all the evidence or eye-witnesses of their doings.

Sheldon and his companions had now even allowed youngsters with Cultivation Levels of Mortal King Realm to take the test. The content of the test was also changed. Its objective was now to fight ten Earth boars with Cultivation Levels the same as the test-taker.

Earth boars are normal Elemental Beasts with the bloodline of Ancient Beast Diamond-boars in small concentration. They are Earth Attribute beings and are well known for their formidable defense and terrifying destructive strength.

A Diamond-boar looks no different from an ordinary wild boar except for its huge mountain-like body covered with shiny scales, which make it look just like a diamond. A Diamond-boar is considered to possess a body that is even tougher than those of dragons and other tyrannical Divine Elemental Beasts and Ancient Beasts.

The test was taking place in both family clan arenas for their respective clan members and had drawn youngsters in large numbers from both family clans. Ryan’s former teammates from the Divine Trials were also taking the test. They had also improved a lot since the Divine Trials given that their souls were manyfold stronger than before, so their comprehension ability had increased manyfold too. They were expecting to somehow get a chance to enter the Ancient Legacy Land and gain some heaven-defying fortune inside.

The youngsters that had come for the test mostly had Cultivation Levels of either Early Mortal Emperor Realm or higher. The ones with Cultivation Levels in the Mortal Sage Realm were the ones that were attracting most of the attention of the elders, as they were the ones with highest chances of survival inside the Ancient Legacy Land. Those who passed the test would have the opportunity to enter the Ancient Legacy Land.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

At that same time, the Grand Elders of the Heaven Sundering Family Clan and the Eternity Family Clan visited the Raffle Family Clan with a marriage proposal. The higherups of the Raffle Family Clan agreed to allow Cynthia to marry into the Heaven Sundering Family Clan and the Eternity Family Clan once she was twenty years old, provided Ryan could gain more opportunities inside the Ancient Legacy Land than Rai. It didn’t take long for this news to spread across Grandura and it immediately became the focus of discussion around Grandura. Almost everyone felt that, no matter how high Ryan’s talent was, the chances of him outperforming Rai were extremely low due to his low Cultivation Level.

Ryan was contacted by his family members immediately after this news reached them. They started having second thoughts about sending him into the Ancient legacy Land as they were worried that Rai and the other members of Dark Moon might try to harm him once they were inside the Ancient Legacy Land.

The fact that Rai was already in Mid Mortal Sage Realm and had combat prowess equivalent to Early Mortal Saint Realm Martial Artists was the main reason for their worries. They knew that Rai was capable of secretly assassinating Ryan and destroying all the evidence given his strength. They also doubted Thorn’s capacity to keep Ryan safe inside the Ancient Legacy Land if Rai was to come for him. This was natural as they had never met Thorn. Neither could they help but commend Rai for his terrifying talent and combat prowess, as there was no youngster in either the Heaven Sundering Family Clan or the Eternity Family Clan that could take him on.

Ryan was somehow able to ease their worries by telling them that Thorn had advanced to Early Immortal Elite Realm. This news took the higher-ups of both family clans by storm, when Ryan’s family members shared it with them. They immediately wanted to meet Thorn after that, as they knew that such an early advance to Immortal Realm could only mean that his bloodline purity was extremely close to Original-grade. That was extremely joyous news for them, as the number of beings with Original bloodline purity, or bloodline purity extremely close to Original-grade, in the Grandura branches of both the Heaven Sundering Family Clan and the Eternity Family Clan didn’t number more than fifty. They wanted to somehow increase Thorn’s bloodline purity to Original-grade by providing him with Heavenly Treasures before the opening of the Ancient Legacy Land. That would increase Thorn’s combat prowess by another level, though they knew that increasing bloodline purity to Original-grade wasn’t easy, even if the bloodline purity of a being was infinitely close to it. They would really have fainted from shock, if they knew that both Thorn’s bloodlines were Original-grade.

Ryan made up an excuse that Thorn was currently in a deep sleep-state after advanc
ing to Early Immortal Elite Realm and he had no idea when he might wake up. The higher-ups of both family clans reluctantly backed off, but they asked Ryan to come back home with him once he woke up from his deep sleep-state.

Heron and Herman were currently rushing to Solomon’s house, as they’d just received more problematic news. They entered Solomon’s house without any ceremony. Solomon was sitting in a meditative position with his eyes closed inside the house. He opened his eyes the moment they entered.

“I have just received news that the Dark Moon Family Clan has become a subsidiary of the Silver Oak Sect,” Heron said in a somewhat alarmed manner. Solomon had a slight change in expression before he fell into deep thought.

“Is there any news about why the Silver Oak Sect made the Dark Moon Family Clan its subsidiary?” Solomon asked calmly. He wasn’t bothered much by this news since he could just go and get rid of the Dark Moon Family Clan if they created any trouble for his descendants on Grandura. The thing that bothered him was the reason the Silver Oak Sect had recruited of another faction with a branch on Grandura.

“It has something to do with an extraordinary Heavenly Treasure that was born on Raven Divine World,” Herman said with a troubled expression. He was worried about the Grandura branches of both family clans, as there was a high chance of the Dark Moon Family Clan doing the same things as the Calamity Sect had done. Raven Divine World was the name of the Divine World where the Dark Moon Family Clan had established itself.

“I don’t think the Dark Moon Family Clan will follow the same path as the Calamity Sect. The rumors that I have previously spread will act as a deterrent. If by chance the Dark Moon Family Clan makes any unwanted move on any of our descendants on Grandura inform me,” Solomon said in a confident manner.

He didn’t find it odd for the Silver Oak Sect to make the Dark Moon Family Clan its subsidiary, if some extraordinary item was involved. There were endless numbers of such precedents in the long history of the Divine Universe where SSS Grade factions made weaker factions their subsidiaries in exchange for a Heavenly Treasure that was birthed on their Divine World. Any of those SSS Grade factions could have forcefully taken the treasure, but since that would bring them a bad name, they made those factions their subsidiaries in exchange for the treasure.

“Inform Sheldon and the other kids about it,” Solomon instructed in a heavy tone.

“Already did,” Heron and Herman said in unison. Solomon nodded his head in satisfaction.

Solomon talked with his sons for some time before Heron and Herman left for their respective homes to concentrate on cultivation. Solomon also returned to cultivating Heavenly Laws.

Time quickly passed and Ryan continued refining his bones whole heartedly.

  Boom!!!

  Boom!!!

Two small explosions occurred inside his body. He had achieved Pseudo Immortal Bones as a result of which both his Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Cores advanced to Late Mortal Emperor Realm. The purity of the Liquid Spirit in both his Soul Cores increased dramatically. Ryan had attained Pseudo Immortal Bones in about ten days and there was still about two months until the opening of the Ancient Legacy Land.

A happy expression appeared on Ryan’s face as he sensed the changes occurring in his body. The newly formed high-purity Liquid Spirit Power coursed through his body and in turn strengthened it.

Ryan could feel explosive power in every part of his body. He was certain that now he could easily deal with Late Mortal Sage Realm Martial Artists with extreme ease and even contend with Early Mortal Saint Realm beings if he used Spirit Power. His bodily toughness had increased to a whole new level. Even Late Mortal Saint Realm Martial Artists would be unable to injure him and Early Immortal Elite Realm Martial Artists would have a hard time harming him. The strength of his soul had also increased, so now its strength was equivalent to that of Late Mortal Saint Realm Martial Artists and his Soul attacks might even threaten the lives of Late Mortal Saint Realm beings. The range of his Soul-sense had once again increased – to a range of four hundred ninety meters which was once again almost double the range of any Late Mortal Emperor Realm Martial Artist.

His Hell’s Fire flame, Devil’s flame, Sky-devouring flame and Undead flame had also strengthened dramatically. Now, Ryan could use Hell’s Fire flame and Devil’s flame to burn beings with Cultivation Levels of Late Sage Realm into nothingness without them being able to resist at all. The Undead flame could now be used by him to burn the souls of beings with similar Cultivation Levels without them being able to save themselves either. The Sky-devouring flame could be used by Ryan to burn beings with Cultivation Levels of Late Mortal Saint Realm without them being able to resist.

The moment his body stabilized, Ryan started once again to refine his bones. He had to somehow increase his Cultivation Level to Early Mortal Saint Realm before entering the Ancient Legacy Land, as he still had no idea about the rules of the Ancient Legacy Land – so it would be best if he increased his personal strength.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

In the Undead Sea of Grandura, Kurt had finally reached Vampire Isle. He hadn’t met any problems on his way there. His Cultivation Level had already reached Late Immortal Saint Realm. He had a big smile on his face as he looked at the creepy island in front of him. The entire island was covered in a blood-red-colored barrier. The seawater around it was blood-red and countless dead bodies of various kinds of beings could be seen floating in it. They were actually Blood slaves.

“These Blood slaves sure are all sub-standard,” Kurt said to himself as he looked at the endless number of Blood slaves that were meant to guard the area outside Vampire Isle.

“Since I’m going to live here from now onwards until Ryan is able to ascend to the Divine Universe, I need to transform this place to my taste,” Kurt said to himself as he opened his mouth and spat a mouthful of blood into the blood-red seawater.

“This should evolve the Blood slaves into something formidable,” Kurt said to himself and a satisfied smile appeared on his face. He then flew straight onto the Vampire Isle, as the barrier didn’t stop him in any way.

The blood-red seawater around Vampire Isle immediately started to boil after Kurt’s departure. The Blood slaves that had been slumbering for tens of thousands of years all woke up at the same time.

  “Roar!”

  “Roar!”

  “Roar!”

All the Blood slaves roared one after the other and their roars shook heaven and earth. The vampires that owned all those Blood slaves were immediately scared stiff, as they found the connection they’d had with them had snapped for some unknown reason. All the vampires immediately turned into red streaks of light and shot into the sky to check on their Blood slaves.

The expressions on all the vampires changed dramatically upon reaching the edges of Vampire Isle. Their Blood slaves were covered in terrifying auras, some of which even bypassed those of their former owners.

The mood at one of the edges of Vampire Isle was worst, as this was the place where the strongest vampires from Vampire Isle had collected.

“Just what is happening?” a beautiful petite girl asked in furious manner. Her voice was extremely pleasant to hear, but the other vampires around her couldn’t help but shiver when they heard it.

“My Queen, we have no idea,” a vampire came forward and said. He was a black-haired youth and she looked at him with contempt as she scanned the faces of the other vampires.

“All of you are useless!” the Vampire Queen said angrily, as she looked at her personal Blood slaves looking at her ferociously.

The expressions of the Vampire Queen and the rest changed dramatically as they slowly turned their heads and looked at a pillar of Blood Energy shooting to the sky from the middle of Vampire Isle. The Blood Energy pillar gave off a very powerful vibe which sent a
shiver down the spines of the Vampire Queen and the rest of the vampires. The Blood Energy shooting into the sky turned into a blood-red cloud and soon blood started raining over the entire island. All the vampires including the Vampire Queen and the other powerful vampires by her side were bathed in blood within no time. The blood falling from the sky even sought out the vampires inside the building so they were covered in blood too.

  “Roar!”

  “Roar!”

The vampires started to roar one after the other, as they curled up and became encased in cocoons entirely made of the solidified blood. The ones flying in the sky fell to the ground after they were encased in blood-cocoons, but the blood-cocoons weren’t harmed in the slightest after falling from great heights. Anyone could tell that all the of the vampires were undergoing some sort of evolution. The vegetation of Vampire Isle was also undergoing great changes. The lush green vegetation suddenly turned blood red. The Tree Spirits and Plant Spirits all turned into carnivores.

“Now everything looks perfect,” Kurt said to himself with a satisfied smile. He just needed to wait for all the vampires to complete their evolutions.

Kurt then flew towards the Palace of the Vampire Queen, since it would take quite a few days for all the vampires to finish their evolutions. He’d decided that would be his new home as it suited his taste.

The Vampire Queen’s Palace was extremely ancient as it had been created countless years beforehand. It was made up of black-colored rock and looked like a European-style palace. Kurt entered it and could see some cocoons as he walked deeper into it. He soon came to the Throne Room, which contained no blood cocoons. His eyes sparkled like a little kid upon seeing the Vampire Queen’s throne. He walked straight up to it and sat on it.

“This sure is comfortable,” Kurt said to himself as he closed his eyes. He began to cultivate Death Elemental Laws, as he had nothing to do to pass the time while all the vampires were undergoing their evolutions.
