by Casey, L. A.
I cried. Again.
“These hormones make me cry at the drop of a hat so you need to stop being so bloody sweet.”
Risk smiled as he thumbed away my tears, then he leaned down and brushed his lips over mine.
“You’re my dream, Frankie.”
“You’re my never enough, Risk.”
I lifted my hands to his waist and gazed up at the man I loved so completely. He wasn’t just my dream, he was my everything. My risk in this life. My whole world and he was all mine.
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
This is the nineteenth novel that I have written and thankfully, I still get that ‘oh my god’ feeling when I reach this point of production because it means I’ve written another book. Writing one book was such a huge feat for me, now having nineteen of them tucked under my belt is simply mind-blowing.
To my daughter, thank you for being you. You’re the best you in the whole entire world. I love you more than you’ll ever know, sweetheart.
To my sister, who is not only the best sibling, but the best sounding-board. Thanks for not thinking my book ideas are crazy.
To Mark Gottlieb, my agent, I’m truly happy to have an agent as brilliant as you. You always have my back and I truly appreciate it.
To my editor, Lindsey Faber, thank you for your hours of endless work helping me get my story to where it deserves to be. Developmental edits are a stage in book production that I dread, but you really do turn it from a daunting task to something I know I can get done with confidence. Working with you truly is a delight.
To my copy-editor, Laura Gerrard, thank you for going through my book with a fine comb from start to finish.
To my proofreaders, Eleanor Leese and Sarah Rouse, thank you for taking the time to scan every single word to catch any lingering errors.
To Sammia, and the team at Montlake Romance, thank you for always keeping my book’s best interest at heart. I appreciate all your hard work.
To my readers, writing Echoes of the Heart during 2020’s lockdown was an escape for me during a time when the world was going through great hardship. I hope reading Risk and Frankie’s story gives you an escape into a world where things are a bit lighter.
