I gasped, struggling to hold on, the electricity continuing to build between us until my entire body was humming from current. “Oh, yes. Oh... Oh...”

He swiveled his hips, thrusting the entire length of his cock inside. The force stole my breath, sending a shower of vibrant colored flecks floating across my field of vision. He issued a series of husky growls, the echoes creating a haunted effect as if the entire room was filled with creatures.

I took gasping pants as he pumped in and out, his eyes shimmering in an omnipotent manner, changing colors every two seconds. I was drawn into their power, the reverie of the emotions and the sheer indulgence of passion.

I’d become a mess, my body quivering as I clawed at his shoulders, the forceful fucking slamming me against the tile over and over again.

He dragged one hand over my head, then the other, keeping our fingers clasped together. The strength of his upper thighs was incredible, the long, hard strokes in perfect rhythm.

I tossed my head back and forth, doing everything I could to abate a climax, yet my pussy muscles clamped down in wave after wave, drawing him in even deeper. As I managed to open my eyes, I could swear I was seeing a combination of his human form and Malzeon, his cheekbones shifting, his forehead lengthening. But I didn’t care.

To me, he was gorgeous in every way. Just as carved as Draze. Just as sexy as the brooding alien. Just as... loving. I blinked several times as I realized they were both very loving in their own manner. And I knew that I could love them. I could share myself with them. I could...

  Die with them.

Suddenly, I couldn’t stop the tears, the outpouring of emotions so unlike me. When he realized my change in mood, he slowed down, although his cock remained throbbing inside. Very gently he lowered his hand, cupping the side of my face and rubbing his thumb back and forth over my mouth aimlessly.

“Trust me, little one. We will never allow anything to happen to you. That I promise to you,” he said softly.

Trust. I nodded several times, swallowing the bile that had risen in my throat. “I will try.”

Greson seemed pained yet he smiled once again, jutting his hips forward as he fucked me in earnest. “I want you to come, little one. Come for me.”

I bit my lip, darting my eyes back and forth. There was truly so much joy behind his luminescent eyes that I was pulled into his world, seeing a taste of his soul. He was truly a good man—a kind soul no matter the form he’d been required to take. I finally relaxed but only for a few seconds, my muscles clenching once again until I knew I couldn’t hold back. “Oh, God. Oh...”

He stretched my arm as high as possible which his grip on my face tightened, his fingers digging in. “That’s it, beautiful one. Come for me.”

My toes curled, my legs shaking uncontrollably and over the course of several seconds, I knew I’d found paradise. “Oh. Oh. Uh. Uh. Uh.” I struggled to push away from the tile as the climax roared through me, yanking a scream from deep within. “Yes!” As the sound reverberated in the room, I couldn’t stop shaking.

His hard thrusts didn’t stop, the man gyrating his hips as he drove in rapid plunges. I could tell his entire body was tense, his jaw clenching as he continued. God, the man was incredible, the feel of him unlike anything in the world.

  Except...

As another wave rushed from my toes, I clamped down my muscles once again. Only this time, Greson was the one to emit a primal roar.

  “Fuck!”

I could tell he refused to come and as he grimaced, he took several deep breaths, finally easing me down onto my feet. Using both hands, he pinched my nipples, twisting them brutally and lowering his head until a mere whisper left his lips. “Now, I fuck you in the ass.”

He wasted no time, yanking me around until I faced the tile, his fingers gripping my hips and pulling. He kicked my legs apart, laughing softly to himself before running his fingers down the length of my spine. When he patted my bottom, I moaned, leaning my forehead against the tile.

The second he slipped his fingers between my ass cheeks, I held my breath. As he breached my asshole, I let out an intense shudder.

“As tight as your pussy is so wet. But you aren’t wearing your plug. Very bad girl.” He wasted no time, slipping his cockhead into my puckered hole, sliding his cock inside an inch at a time.

The pain was beautifully blinding at first, sending another wave of heat between my legs. As he pushed in two more inches, I could no longer breathe, the hint of anguish turning into raw ecstasy.

He blew across my shoulders, whispering some dark and dangerous in his language before thrusting the remainder inside. There was nothing gentle about his action, the sound of skin pounding against skin like sweet music. “Yes. Yes. Perfect. You are perfect,” he struggled to say, his breathing ragged.

A hard smack was placed against my bottom, leaving me hotter and wetter. He repeated the move before gripping my hip once again.

“Such a bad girl. We have ways of dealing with that.” His way of dealing was allowing his cock to expand, the nubs on his shaft longer today, I would swear it. I was filled, my breath strangled.

“Oh, God. Oh...” I was lightheaded, my heart racing. He thrust in even more savagely and I could swear to God he was splitting me apart.

“Take every inch of me. Every. Single. Inch. I will have you whenever and however I want. Never forget that.”

I’d never heard such a deep baritone, a roar of sensuality that swept me away. For several magical minutes, I was floating free of my body.

I met every hard thrust with one of my own, trying desperately to hold on. I was blown away at the number of sensations rocketing through me, driving me straight into utter nirvana. I knew he was close to coming.

The moment I clenched my muscles once again, the strangled sound erupting from his throat gave me a wicked smile. I continued squeezing, arching back against him as he came deep inside, filling me with his seed.

I hadn’t believed that I was capable of feeling anything but animosity toward the aliens, but as he pulled me against him, his cock still buried inside, I was overwhelmed with a volley of thoughts and emotions, both difficult to understand.

Yet as the words slipped out of my mouth, I knew they could change everything.

“I’m falling in love with you.”

Only I wasn’t certain if my feelings would ever matter. Not because they weren’t capable of love.

But because I believed in my heart and soul that we wouldn’t survive the trip. My instinct told me there was a trap waiting.

  And we would all perish.

  Chapter Thirteen

  Draze

“You’ve been lying, King.” I issued the words, even though I realized that I could be tossed into the brig, my rank stripped.

King Lorowerd didn’t acknowledge me, at least not at first. When he finally turned around, he had two drinks in his hand. Even though it was very late, he’d been expecting me.

“I had a feeling you wouldn’t accept this mission without additional answers, and I believe the need for titles is inappropriate right now. Don’t you?” He moved toward me, his hand outstretched.

I accepted the drink, although this wasn’t a social visit. “Fine, Aramel. Let’s have the truth. What is really going on? Why are you pitting Greson and me together for the role of king?”

He took a sip before moving to what I knew to be his favorite chair. He had difficulty as he sat down, his entire body shaking.

“You are ill,” I said quietly.

Aramel offered a waning smile. “I have been for some time. The doctors tell me it’s an effect of the gas, but I believe it’s simply old age and battle scars catching up with me.”

I knew then the man was dying.

“Then it’s vital that you tell me the truth.”

“I’ve already told you that you are both the best of what our people are about. That is no lie, Draze. What I didn’t tell is that I’m abolishing the monarchy.”

What?” I was floored by his statement. Although he alone had the authority to make that happen, it would never have entered my mind he would go to such great lengths. “Why?”

He took another sip before leaning against the back of the chair, grimacing. “The time of dictatorship is over. What we need is fresh blood as our leaders in order to bring us into the new world.”

The new world. I sucked in my breath before speaking.

“You were planning on invading Earth.”

Aramel laughed. “I haven’t lied to you. I never intended on taking over Earth. However, I had hoped for... kindness.”

Kindness. I walked closer, studying his face. “The treaty. The deal. You knew when you made that deal that this world wasn’t going to survive.”

His eyes twinkled, changing colors several times.

“The repayment is living on Earth alongside the humans, sharing the same world. Why didn’t I see this before?”

He lifted his glass. “You are very astute, my son. And I’ve always thought of you as my son. Before your father died, he made me promise to take care of you and I have tried. And I have failed.”

“You haven’t failed, King.” I thought about other aspects of the past twenty years. “The hybrid children. You were hoping their existence would also prevent the humans from denying a chance to live on Earth.”

“It was important on two levels, including a continuation of our race. As you know, many of the children were killed, but we have several hundred surviving and flourishing.” His eyes glistened.

“But not immune to the effects of the gas.”

“Unfortunately not. Our genes are dominant within them, allowing for the same fate, although it does take longer.”

The king had done everything in his power to continue our race. I felt more respect for him at that moment than I ever had before. “You are very wise, my king.”

Sighing, he looked out his window. “Time will tell. I love our home, Draze, but I had to make a choice. I knew that we could cohabitate but not as long as there was a king. I have drawn up papers for you and Greson to lead a team of Malzeons. While I’ve outlined the structure, the governance will be entirely up to you. I know that you will use your leadership wisely.”

“And the Valtars?” The instant I asked the question, I could tell my intuition had been correct.

“I learned years ago that a faction of them remained alive and in truth, I was overjoyed until I lost someone very close to me in their attack on Greson’s ship. I was filled with hate once again, the kind like my father and his father before him had. Hate doesn’t solve anything. I’ve begun to realize that.”

I could see tears in his eyes. “I don’t understand.”

“I believed strongly that if the Valtars had found their way to Earth, they would be dangerous to the treaty, to the people of Earth and more important, to the future of our race. I was taught they were cunning individuals and of course would refuse to forgive our people for what happened a century before.”

  “And now?”

Aramel lifted his eyebrows. “I can admit that I’ve been wrong on several occasions.”

“And there is no way that our planet can be saved?”

“There is certain new information that has come to light.”

“I don’t understand what you’re saying. What new light? Is there a way we can avoid this?”

“We have to know if President Marchant is planning an attack of some kind. That is vital.”

“An attack?” I asked, laughing at the prospect. “How? There are no weapons.”

“What I also know is that you will find answers once you return to Earth.” Aramel lifted his glass once again. “But I do have hope.”

“And what am I supposed to find?”

“Salvation, my son. Salvation.” With great difficulty, he moved out of his chair, shuffling toward a beautiful carved chest. “I have some things for you to take with you and read, information of my own that I should have shared long before this. I was hoping that things would work out on their own, but perhaps you and Greson shall have the power and strength to do what I was unable to do for our people.”

I watched as he unlocked the chest, pulling out a small disc. He kept his eyes locked on mine as he walked closer, placing the object in my hand.

“You are a true leader, my son, and I know this will help with your decisions.”

As I accepted what I knew to be a gift, I realized that he’d just placed the very future of our world in my hands. The weight on my shoulders was significant.

“Now, there is someone that I would like for you to meet. As you know, certain things have been weighing heavily on my mind. This if very important to me, Draze but make no mistake, if President Marchant has compromised the treaty in any manner, more difficult decisions will need to be made.” He walked to the door of his private chambers, waving his hand across the console. “It is my belief that he is going to become a very close ally.”

When I was a child, my father taught me to be courageous but always honorable above all, even if it meant losing everything I had. On this day, I realized that he’d learned the powerful attribute from his good friend, Aramel Lorowerd.

  * * *

“We are within transport distance, Commander,” Lieutenant Tragon said as he flanked my side.

I studied the view of Earth from the main window, uneasy about the mission in its entirety. I’d spent the better part of several hours deciphering and researching the information the king had provided, going through records from years before. I’d also succumbed to another wave of sadness, the past once against hitting me hard. If he was correct, then every move I made would have to be done very carefully. Certain private discussions had been held in secrecy and they weighed heavily on my mind.

But there was no other choice.

As long as my mission was successful then what the king was proposing could work. If there was betrayal, it would be difficult not to invade Earth, at least for a period of time. I seethed at the thought.

Unfortunately, I didn’t like the odds we were facing. If the New World Order was as powerful as I’d heard, even more so than I’d believed, then we would be facing unknown obstacles.

Our battleships remained in ready position, although every one of the cloaked. They would only engage on the king’s command. I wasn’t a praying man as our belief in some deity wasn’t the same as what I’d learned from the humans, but on this morning, I prayed that we wouldn’t be forced to disrupt the amazing life the humans had built.

While I still hated not being told sooner, the king had been forced to put everything into perspective, including bringing every commander within close proximity. The moment Casey had been arrested, he’d believed the time was close.

  The end.

My head ached from the thought.

I didn’t like the fact I was still hiding aspects of the mission from both Greson and Casey, but in my mind, I was protecting them. I only hoped that I wasn’t wrong. Salvation. The word remained in my mind, the way our king had sent me off telling. His death would be a great loss.

“I want a small group of soldiers with us and that’s all. Have them in the transport area in twenty minutes. If there is any trouble and we don’t respond within twenty-four hours, alert King Lorowerd that we’ve been compromised.” I issued the command with no emotion. I wanted no one else to learn about my fears.

  Not yet.

There were still questions to be answered first.

“I... I will do that of course, Commander, but what then? We aren’t going to leave you there.”

I tipped my head, studying him. He’d provided very helpful material about the Vipers during the trip, providing a full education on their development process, as well as instructions in changing their programming. I felt confident they would become useful soldiers if necessary.

  Although they were killing machines.

“You will follow my orders, Lieutenant. Period.”

  Lieu
tenant Tragon nodded. “Yes, sir. As you command, sir.” He walked to one of the ensigns, looking over her shoulder. “Prepare to enter Earth’s atmosphere. Keep up in cloaked mode until I give the orders.”

“And it will remain in cloaked mode after our departure,” I further instructed, heading toward the exit of the bridge.

“Sir, what are you going to do?” he asked.

I’d only provided limited information to any of our crew, the importance of keeping the mission secret high on my list. “Gather information, Lieutenant. Nothing more.”

The truth was, I had plans to begin the takedown process of the government as a whole, but that would take several steps. Still, I would confront President Marchant to determine what his goals might be. And I’d know if the man was lying.

I walked off the bridge, heading in the direction of the transport area. Casey had provided coordinates to the location where she’d secured the evidence her father had left. We’d start there. When I walked into the transport room, I could see a different look shared between Greson and Casey. I was well aware of the passion they’d shared and at that moment, a streak of jealousy ran through me. I still wanted her all to myself and I hated my reaction, almost as much as the fact I still couldn’t let go what had occurred years before.

Greson deserved better than to have me as a third. Not that she belonged to us. I’d meant what I said. She could have her freedom after this was over.

As long as there was a way in order to do so. I believed the king would free the other female slaves as well as promised. That was his nature, for good or for bad. He was attempting to find some level of redemption after annihilating an entire species.

Although my doubts were increasing about that belief. However, until I had proof, I couldn’t believe everything King Lorowerd had told me. One problem at a time.

I walked closer, moving directly in front of Casey. She seemed even more frail in the far too large uniform, but the clothing was needed for protection. She had to appear as one of us. I had no doubt Federation soldiers would still be hunting for various dissidents.
