LOVE IN LOCKDOWN: A Charity Anthology
Page 21
Our eyes lock, forehead against forehead, the world coming to a halt for this perfect moment. Her fingers grip my hair, pulling me closer, our breath entwined. My veins throb, head spins, and heart fucking explodes with a million feelings.
Once her movements become more intense, I buck my hips up to meet her. Our bodies move in sync. I feel every part of her around me, touching me. I breathe her in. Sweat beads on our skin, our lips tasting like liquor-flavored kisses.
Hands roam, exploring every inch of skin as our movements become faster, deeper, harder. “I’m going to come,” she pants against my lips.
“Say my name.”
“Grim,” she calls out.
My palm slaps down hard on her ass while I grip her hair in my other hand and pull her head back, biting down on her neck.
“Jameson. Fuck, Jameson, I’m coming.”
There it is. I follow her over, my cock pulsating, my seed pumping inside her.
Chapter Six
Melanie Monroe…
The heat from Jameson’s body cuddled against mine makes a lazy smile spread over my lips. My womb aches from the three times he made my body his throughout the night. We eventually turned the couch into a bed and crashed, delirious and sated. I know I’ll have to go back to the real world in a few hours, but for now, I allow myself this utopia between us.
I feel him inhale against the back of my neck, his lips peppering kisses there, making me moan and push my ass into him.
He said he’s wanted me since that time at the hospital. I can’t believe I could have been doing this the whole time. I feel cheated. If I suddenly wake up and find out this was all a dream, I’m going to put myself in an induced coma. It’s insanity to be so overwhelmed with feelings from one night together, but it’s like sinking in quicksand. I’m holding my breath, trying to stay in control, but my body doesn’t want to be free, and I’m obeying the pull.
“Are you sore?” he asks, flicking his tongue against my earlobe.
“Deliciously so.” I giggle, turning to capture his next kiss with one of my own.
“You ready to go see what survived the night?” he asks between kisses, his large palm teasing the flesh over my stomach.
“Five more minutes,” I breathe.
Rolling me on my back, he grinds his cock between the apex of my thighs. “Only five?” he teases, scattering kisses down my body, making liquid heat pool in my core. It’s like we’ve been together forever and he knows every place to touch that makes me quiver.
“Maybe ten.” I gasp as he reaches my lower stomach.
“Mmmm, twenty,” he groans, his tongue swiping the folds of my pussy.
“Maybe never…oh god…”
I’m standing in Jameson’s kitchen, a mug of coffee in hand, admiring him as he tosses bacon around a pan. His house is immaculate, no ruckus from the night before causing damage to his home. I’ve yet to build up the courage to check mine. I want to stay in this Jameson bubble a little longer.
A soft brush against my leg makes me grin. “Hey, Hulk. Where did you hide all night?” I murmur swiping him up.
“I hope he didn’t Hulk out and damage anything,” Jameson scoffs, winking over his shoulder while dishing us up breakfast.
“No, he didn’t. He’s a good boy, aren’t you?” I coo into his fur.
“Sit,” Jameson orders, gesturing with a chin tilt to the dining table.
Placing Hulk on the floor, I do as instructed, relishing the muscles rippling in Jameson’s arms as he sets a plate in front of me. I’m famished after he wore my body out all night and morning. The ache between my thighs still throbs. I’m not going to be able to walk at this rate. I get one piece of bacon into my mouth before I’m crawling over the table and into his lap.
Tears build in my eyes as I stand on my lawn looking at the huge ass tree through my house. Jameson was right, I was lucky. A few feet to the right, and it would have been my bedroom. The tree is enormous. The surveyor told me the roots would be too deep for the tree to ever move when I bought this place. The roof and outer wall have taken severe damage. It’s going to need a lot of work and money to get it all fixed. “It’s okay, baby. We’ll get it all fixed up.” The pad of Jameson’s thumb swipes away the stray tear that escapes, his arms wrapping around me, pinning me to his chest. This time, I allow myself to hold him back.
“It’s just stuff, right?” I shrug.
“Right.” He kisses my head. “I’m going to make some calls. Let’s go back to my place.”
Within hours, I’m looking out his front room window at workers removing the tree from the living room. “It still won’t be safe until they do a structural evaluation,” he tells me, coming up behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist.
“I’m going to need to get some clothes and my work stuff.” I worry my lip.
“When they get the scaffold in place, it should be okay to go in and get what you need.”
I turn in his arms, a nervous flutter in my stomach. “Maybe I should get a hotel while they get the work done.”
“You’ll stay with me.”
“It could take weeks.” I don’t want him to offer his place out of some feeling of obligation because of what happened between us.
“I don’t care how long it takes, Monroe. You’re not going anywhere.”
“What about your sisters…will they mind me being here?” The thought of dealing with Ruby’s attitude exhausts me already.
“You’re staying here. They’ll deal. It’s not up for debate.”
I guess he’s made his mind up, and a hotel would cost money I’m going to need to pay for the work while I wait for the insurance to go through. I can’t let Jameson pay out of his pocket.
“Okay. Thank you. But if you get fed up with me…” I crawl my hand up to his chest teasingly.
“I’ll let you know,” he grunts, humor in his tone.
“I was going to say don’t tell me.” I bite my lip playfully.
“Mmmm, like I could get fed up with you.” He nuzzles my neck, sending my pulse racing.
“Do you want to go take a nap?” I grin.
“Do you mean actual sleeping?” he questions with a raised brow, a smirk on his lips.
I shake my head no, a giddiness overcoming me.
“Say ‘do you want to fuck, Jameson,’” he challenges.
My cheeks flame and nipples tighten. Why is that so sexy? I take a deep breath and lean up on my tiptoes, pulling his head down to meet my tongue swiping out to tease his earlobe.
“Do you want to fuck me, Jameson?” I purr, then take off running when his reply is an animalistic growl.
“Can you just tell me what you need and I’ll go in and get it?” Jameson frowns, looking at my house from my yard. He doesn’t want me going inside until it’s safely restructured, but I need clothes and work uniforms and my stuff. The night is going to claim the light soon, so we need to get this done now. There’s scaffold surrounding my house and the tree is now gone.
“I’ll be fine inside, and you’ll be right with me,” I assure him. “I don’t know how to repay you for everything,” I add as we walk toward my house. I’m going to be staying with him until the house is finished, and I feel like it’s a little too much too soon, but I don’t want to be anywhere else, so I’m not analyzing it, I’m just going with the flow for once.
“You don’t have to repay me. I get to keep you for a little while. It’s a win-win.” He winks. Damn he’s beautiful.
“The insurance money will cover the costs.”
“Monroe, stop worrying about that shit. Let’s just get what you need and get home so I can eat dinner.”
“What’s for dinner?” I ask.
“You, baby.” He attacks my neck with kisses and grabs my ass, making me squeal as I run up the porch steps. I feel like a teenager, and I love it.
“The door is back on its hinges at least,” I comment, eyeballing him over my shoulder. Opening the door, I swallow down the grief of seeing my litt
le place in such dismay.
“Don’t think about it right now.” Jameson reads my thoughts.
Leaves and branches litter the floor. Smashed glass and damaged furniture lay in disarray everywhere. “It’s all replaceable. You’re safe, that’s all that matters,” he reassures me, and I know he’s right.
Treading carefully through the house, I go to my bedroom. Luckily, it’s exactly how I left it with zero damage. I pull out a small suitcase from the closet and add a few essentials.
I hear Jameson join me, his eyes on my unmade bed. “You scared the shit outta me when you called.”
“I scared myself.” I laugh a little awkwardly, feeling silly for getting so worked up thinking someone was in here.
I grab some pajamas from my dresser and already run out of space in my tiny suitcase.
“You need some help?” Jameson raises a brow as I try sitting on my stuff to make it fit.
“I think I’m going to need another suitcase.”
“You have one?”
“No,” I whine.
“I think I saw a gym bag in the other room.”
I raise my brow in question and follow him through to the living room, watching as he goes to a black bag sitting by what was once my window.
“You want to use this?” he asks, dropping the leather bag at my feet.
“Where did that come from?” I frown.
“It was in your living room. You just watched me pick it up.” He looks puzzled by my reaction.
“That’s not mine. One of the workers must have left it.” I shrug and move over to the window, spotting red smeared on some of the broken glass on the floor.
“Is this blood?” My insides bottom out. There’s a crimson puddle staining the glass and carpet. None of the workers left injured. This amount of blood would need stitches at least.
Jameson doesn’t seem convinced. Picking up the glass, he sniffs it. “What the fuck…?” he growls. “This is blood.”
Dropping the piece back to the floor makes a clinking sound. His boots crush everything beneath them as he marches across the room. He lifts the bag, placing it on the counter in the kitchen before pulling it open. I follow him, my steps faltering when I see what’s inside.
A gasp escapes my mouth. The room spins around me. “Oh my god.”
“Motherfucker.” Jameson is practically vibrating with uncaged rage.
Metal wire, gloves, tape—it’s a murder kit. My heart thunders in my chest. My body begins to tremble—the noise…the footsteps in my house last night.
“He was in here.” A sob catches in my throat. “The tree must have deterred him…injured him…or you coming over scared him away?”
“I’m going to kill him,” Jameson roars.
“What if you hadn’t come for me?” I collapse against him.
“I’d never let anyone hurt you. This motherfucker is as good as dead. I’m going to take him apart piece by piece.”
“How? We don’t even know who the hell he is,” I choke out, trying to will my heart to calm.
“I have his blood. I can find out who the sick bastard is, and when I do, he’s going to wish he was never fucking born.”
His words should incite fear, but they only bring relief. I’m safe. I’m in his arms.
“Let’s get you out of here. I have some calls to make. I’m going to be taking you to my clubhouse. You’ll be safe with my brothers while we track this fucker.”
“But they don’t even know me. Will they even care that someone was here to kill me?” I ask in fear and disbelief, panic gripping my throat in a chokehold.
He clasps my cheeks in his meaty palms, his whiskey eyes intoxicating me as the bore into mine. “You’re mine, so they will care, and they will help me destroy this piece of shit. We’re your family now. You’ll never be alone again.”
“Does this make me your property?” I sniffle, half-joking and half-desperate to be just that.
His lips taste mine, claiming, owning. “Fuck yeah, it does.”
And just like that, I became his ol’ lady.
I became his, and he’s mine.
Mine.
That’s the end for now!

About Locked In Love
Tension peaks when Amy and Luke see each other again one year later, after a wild night spent together.
She’s his best friends’ little sister, which means she’s supposed to be off limits.
They find themselves in one very sexually awkward situation when they get locked in the wine cellar of her parents’ chateau.
With attraction and chemistry bouncing off the walls, can they resist each other?

There he is…

sp; Luke Montgomery.
Shauna bumps into my shoulder as we walk into the grand hall of Conway Estate, my parents’ newly purchased Chateau.
“You’ll be fine,” she whispers, leaning closer. Her bright blue eyes sparkle as she nods and the mass of honey blond wild curls that covers her head bounces with life.
“Of course,” I reply in a nonchalant manner and she narrows her eyes at me.
She knows when I’m lying. We’ve been friends long enough for her to tell. Fifteen years of friendship qualifies her to know me inside out. To know my personality and my secrets.
She knows that I may look fine and like I’ve moved past that one heartbreaking incident that happened to me last year, but truthfully I’m not.
I can at least admit that to myself. I did this morning when we met up for the drive here. It was probably clear too that I wasn’t okay from my silence on the way.
I just hope I can shake this mood. This weekend is supposed to be an amazing one spent with my parents as they celebrate their fortieth wedding anniversary.
Shauna links her arm with mine as we continue across the hall to where my parents are.
Mom and Dad are on the far side talking with a few people who look like they’ll be working here and helping to set up for the party later tonight.
My parents are the type of people who are perpetually in love. You can look at them and see it. There’ll be five hundred people arriving later today to celebrate their love.
