Temptation (Dungeon Elite Book 1)

I love that we’re staying in the cat family, and I begin to giggle, his eyes flashing to mine. “Is this okay, Sir? I’m so giddy.”
“Laugh to your heart’s content.” His lips nip at my neck. He makes his descent to my nipples, biting them hard enough to send a tingle of longing to my nether regions. His hands find my clit at the same time.
“Come for me,” he commands, and my body responds to him so quickly. “Fuck, Kitten, that wasn’t hard.”
As he had promised, he’s not gentle, not in the least. His thrusts are deep, profound, and everything I’ve craved with this man.
“Look at me, Kitten.” I do as he says immediately.
We are lost in our connection. I’d never dared to dream I could find my paradise, but with Chadwick, I have.
He pushes one last time, and we both chase our orgasms together. His hold on me is tight as he falls on top of me, and I never want to imagine us any other way.
There’s a note next to me on the pillow where I’d fallen asleep in his embrace. Grabbing it, I smile at his words.
Kitten,
I didn’t want you to wake on your own. But I plan to wear you out for the next several days. For this reason, I’m preparing some dinner or breakfast or whatever you feel like eating downstairs. Come join me when you wake.
CW
He signs with his initials, but with this man, I’ve learned I never want him to change.
I’m at a loss of what time it is with the time change and our reunion sex, so I hurry downstairs to find my man. I like the sound of this, my man.
As I descend the steps, it’s dark outside and candles illuminate the room. Standing in the open living space to the right of the stairs is Chadwick, and he’s holding a large, square box.
My steps are halted at both the box and the ambiance. “Kitten, come to me.” I obey immediately because there’s no place I’d rather be than as close to him as I can get.
“I’ve given a lot of thought to us. How we will live, how I will honor you, respecting the past that has scarred you. We both know I’m a controlling man, and that won’t change. But in all I do, I only want to make you the best version of yourself.”
I stare at the box in his hands, and he chuckles. “We’ll get to this in a moment, but first, I want to know what you want from me.”
My words come so easily. “I’ve also given this a lot of thought, and honestly, it’s similar to you. I want to heal the pain of your parents never putting you first. As I trust you, I need you to trust me because I can heal you, too.”
Opening the box, I gape at the diamond necklace with a short chain. “Because I want to experience everything with you, one day, we’ll choose the right collar, but for now, I’d be honored to place this around your delicate little neck as a sign you belong to me.”
Tears fall from my eyes, and I’m about to answer him until he tips my head to his gaze. After a glimpse of my life without him, I drop to my knees, and though I miss his touch immediately, my reply is simple. “Yes, Master.”
Epilogue
Eve
The next day
“I know you hate this part because it seems clinical and lacking intimacy, but we have to do it.” I’d slept for almost eighteen hours straight after he collared me, fed me, and fucked me. It was all I never thought I’d wanted for myself and will never walk away from again.
With a cup of coffee, he joins me at the dining room table. He’s not wrong when he sits with his list, and I roll my eyes.
“Be careful, Kitten, you’re collared to me, so I can spank you now.” I shiver at the thought. “Oh, and you won’t like them as punishments, believe me.” Somehow, I do believe him.
“Can you just tell me without these lists what you want, your hard lines? Please, Master?”
I think I won him over by using his title. “Yes, Kitten, we can do it your way.” He takes a sip of his coffee, grabbing for my hand, then letting his gaze fall on my collar. “I fucking love that on you, Kitten.”
I never thought I’d love it, but I do. More so, he picked it out just for me, realizing how much I hate the tight ones. Whenever I see my reflection in the mirror, the girl smiling back is different, and it starts with the commitment we’d made together last night.
“I want full control in the bedroom.” He lays it out there for me, and this is not a surprise. “We can sit down at a later date, to discuss what your hard lines are.”
“Yes, Master, I agree to this.”
“I love you calling me Master, so at home,” he continues, “I’d like you to call me this. In public, you can simply call me Chadwick.”
I give him a little smirk, and part of me wants him to think I’ll challenge him. “Yes, Master.”
“I don’t want to lord your dependence over you. I want you to always be the witty funny person I’ve fallen in love with.”
“Is that it, Master?” I ask.
He leans his long arms over to me, pulling me on his lap. “Yes, is this acceptable to you?”
“Yes, Master, as long as I can keep my Converse,” I tease, and he doesn’t answer me as he shuts me up when his lips crash onto mine.
Six months later
He secures my wrists to the St. Andrew’s cross and has put the dreaded blindfold on me. I pout, pushing my bottom lip out, and his deep belly laugh has my skin pebbling with arousal. Though, I’m still not happy about the blindfold. He loves it because it’s one of the few items we are working toward on his list of stuff I agree to during our playtime. It’s surprising how many things he’s won me over on that I thought I’d hate.
He’s convinced taking away my sense of sight will be the same thing. That I’ll love it eventually. Good luck with that, buddy.
“Kitten, pouting doesn’t suit you.” In the bedroom, I give him full submission—agreeing to ten new items each month. At the end of the month, we add or take away and go on. This has been his idea, his way of giving me control, too. But I freely trust him and submit to everything when it’s him and me in this way.
He’s still opinionated when it comes to almost everything in my life. He hates my Converse sneakers but would never tell me not to wear them. But I find I want to please him and will split my time between the pain-inducing high heels and my comfortable sneakers.
“Kitten, you are the most beautiful person I know.”
And since my love for him knows no bounds and I want to please him, I reply, “Thank you, Master.”
He chuckles again, but before I can take in the sexiness of his simple laugh, he touches the cane to my body, only to let me know what he’s about to do. I thought I’d hate the cane, but it’s truly a stimulating device, inducing the endorphins, and with it, the orgasms are heaven sent.
“Kitten, you please me. You know this, right?”
“Yes, Master.” Using his title, Master, pleases him, and I’ve learned I don’t have to give up a piece of myself to please the man I love.
He takes one swing at my thighs, down to my calves, and back to my thighs. He’s never about hurting me, though I’ve come to love the pain. “You like this, Kitten?”
“Yes, Sir.”
“Fuck, Kitten, nothing is more beautiful than you in my element.”
He unhooks me from the cross, and I’m surprised. We normally do a couple of different fundamentals to heighten my endorphins. But hell, if he’s ready to shower me with orgasms, who am I to tell him no?
He doesn’t remove my mask, and when he orders me to, I’m a little surprised. My eyes adjust to the light. Looking forward, I don’t see his beautiful face, only the top of his head. On one knee, he has a ring with a diamond larger than the continent of Australia.
“Eve, you’ve always been my temptation. Now you’re the apple of my eye. Do me the honor of becoming my wife?”
I tackle him, and as we both fall to the floor in a mangled heap, he has my answer. A life with Chadwick Westbrook is the dream come true I never realized I’ve always wished for.

p; One year later
On the day of our wedding, which I hadn’t wasted any time executing, we laid in bed after I made love to my wife. When the discussion came up about where we’d call home, I’d live anywhere as long as I was with her. We wanted someplace we’d grow our family and build our memories together. “It started in Chicago. I’d love for it to continue in Chicago.”
And because my kitten gets pretty much anything she wants, I’ve bought a penthouse with the views of Lake Michigan she loves. It’s been our place since she said I do almost nine months ago. And we’re close to my grandmother’s farm, where she’s learning to become a trainer with all our horses, in the farm my grams left for me.
On our wedding night, we’d shared more than our wedding vows. We made a little person. And as I gaze upon my wife with a cup of tea, standing at the windows watching the sunrise over beautiful Lake Michigan with her rounded belly, I know we both made the right choice.
I had tried to throw away all her Converse when we moved in together, but she caught me right away. As I look at her, only I can tell she’s pouting. I won’t let her drink coffee while she’s pregnant. With each sip of her tea, she huffs, her way of telling me she’s probably not putting out tonight. But since the asshole in me has gone dormant most of the time, I, too, have switched to tea.
My eyes are still on her as she stiffens, drops her tea as the cup crashes in pieces on the floor, and doubles over. “Kitten.” I run to her and lift her out of the mess. I don’t need her in stitches if she’s in labor.
“Fuck, this hurts.” She’d been having Braxton Hicks contractions for days, but this seems different. “You’re pushing the next baby out, mister,” she informs me, and I raise an incredulous eyebrow.
“Oh, I’d love to see this,” I return, and in minutes, I have her downstairs with the car I’ve kept on high alert for the past month waiting for us at the curb.
We’re soon at the hospital, and they whip her into a room, and as much as they try, I won’t leave her side. “Pain, this hurts so fucking bad. Make it fucking stop.” The nurse tries to tell my pregnant wife to watch her language, and she flips her off, and it’s then, I laugh.
Once we’re out of the earshot of most everyone in the waiting room, the pain increases as do her screams. When the doctor rushes in, he smiles as he examines her. Fucking smiles, and all I want to do is punch him in the teeth.
“Ah, this is the reason you’re in so much pain, Mrs. Westbrook. The baby is crowning. You’re past the worst part.”
“This is the fucking worst part!” she screams at the doctor, who doesn’t bat an eye.
All the breathing we’d learned in the past several months is out the window.
“Bear down and push.” We repeat this ten times when my kitten is crying.
“Make it stop, Master, make it stop.” Either Eve is so delirious that she hasn’t realized she calls me Master, or she’s just that desperate.
I smile, squeezing her hand, only encouraging her. “You’re doing great, Kitten.” Though in my mind, we are repeating this one last time, and if there’s not a baby in her arms in the next three minutes, my money and I are getting someone else in here.
“One more time, Mrs. Westbrook.” She screams through a contraction, and the sweetest noise fills the room. The sound of our baby. “Congratulations, it’s a girl.”
The doctor gives me our daughter, and I carry her over to Eve, whose eyes fill with tears. Placing her on her chest, I lean down and give both my girls a kiss on the cheek. “So, Kitten, what do you think? Is she a keeper?”
She scowls at me and my not so witty humor. “Oh, Chadwick.” Tears are freely flowing from her eyes. “I knew I’d love her, but now. This is us, our love, together.” She kisses the top of our baby’s head, and her tears fall on our daughter’s forehead. “She’s the most beautiful thing in the world; absolutely beautiful.” She pauses, and I watch this moment to burn it to memory when she continues, “Welcome to our world, Josephine Westbrook.”

Maddox
I’ve been avoiding her. No, I don’t think that is quite the word for it. As most want to avoid the plague, rabies, a bad hangover, a trip to Walmart, and appendicitis, I’m avoiding her with the same fervor. “M,” my number two begins, “she’s asking for you again.”
I hide out in my office most nights to avoid her. “You have the floor. I’ll be in here doing some inventory.” I’m not fooling Jay, who’s also my dungeon master. How much inventory does one person need to do? Plus, it’s not really in my job description.
He shakes his head at me. I know he thinks I’m a pussy. I am a pussy. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it, and if Chadwick were here, he’d string me up by my balls for many reasons. But the main one being letting Jay take over my job all because of a little girl, and it’s what she is. Jewel is a little girl. Sure, she’s legal but—fucking barely.
The door opens, and I’m sure it’s my number two again, who’s going to do Chadwick’s job for him and tell me to man up. I look up and meet the familiar eyes of the little girl I was with once. But she’s all woman as her bustier is showing me the cleavage my face has been between just once. This depravity was the lowest of lows to where I slunk. And I don’t have high standards as far as morality. Depravity never bothered me, not until I met her and had my way with this gem. She has done me in for any other woman.
“Are you avoiding me?” she asks.
I should kick her out. She isn’t collared, and even though many have tried to collar her, Jewel has her sights set on only one person. And she is looking at him.
“You know I am.” No reason to deny it.
“Yeah, I figured as much,” she purrs. “What can I do to change your mind?”
“You can’t.” I stand with such force, it startles her. Good, be afraid of me, be very afraid. I go through women like coffee filters. “Go back to your daddy, your church, and your little white steeple.”
Yep, this little minx who has her sights set on me is a preacher’s daughter. Worse, I’m the sick bastard who deflowered her. There aren’t many lines I won’t cross, but that would have been one of them if I had only known.
“You lied to me,” I explain.
She walks to the door, turns around, and leans over to give me a better view of her cleavage. “You know what they say. It’s better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.” She shuts it behind her. It’s the nail in the coffin, and the pivotal moment when I know I can’t ever let go of Jewel Atkins. She’s the precious gem who has corrupted me.

What I have learned along the way
I lov
e the idea of horses. I love riding them and, wow, are they beautiful creatures! I knew I wanted to show more about the farm that means so much to Chadwick. And, soon, I understood Jo would become a breeder of horses who would run many races of the Triple Crown. I understood a little about the Triple Crown, that it’s the honor and title bestowed upon the horse if he or she wins the three major races that are ran in one year. Of course, I had no idea what the races were or where they are ran, so at two a.m. one morning as the idea came to me, as sleep was not, I woke up and searched out all I could about horse racing.
I hope you loved Chadwick and his kitten. They were truly so much fun to write. And I have to say, Chadwick is the biggest asshole I’ve penned to date. Some of his asshole behaviors truly made me laugh out loud.
Until the next book,
Leigh
