Riding Red: A Fairytale Retold Steamy Romance Page 3

by Kiki Harlow

I stroked her knee and felt her parting her legs just so very slightly. I ran my hands up and down the inside of her thighs. She spread her legs wider, allowing me more access to the warm, damp centre of her.

“Nikolas,” she whispered again. I swallowed a groan and pressed two fingers against her cotton panties.

She moaned against my mouth. I did it again. Circling the spot that made her legs start to shake.

“My dear little Red,” I said, pulling away from her. “I could eat you up right now. Can I have a taste?”

I ran my finger up and down her slit. Her panties were damp underneath my fingertips.

She looked a little flustered, all flushed pink and biting her lip.

“Yes,” she said finally. “Call me, Rowena. Just Rowena”

“Rowena,” I repeated. I knelt down in front of her, slowly pulling her panties down and spreading her legs. “Let me show you how much I want you.”

I touched my tongue lightly on her pretty pink slit, savouring her, as I took my first taste of her.

“You taste so good, sweetheart,” I said, going back for more.

I held my tongue there, enjoying the way she squirmed around me.

  “Please,” she begged. “Please, Nikolas.”

I lapped at her, up and down until she couldn’t take anymore. I circled my tongue on her clit, round and round, right until the moment of her sweet release. When she came, I sucked on her sweet little pussy, licking all the juices that I had worked so hard for.

She came back to her senses and looked down at me with the most tender of expressions.

I was hooked. I wiped my mouth and stood up, kissing Rowena again, the passion inside of me growing by the minute.

She kissed me back and began pawing mindlessly at my pants. I stilled her hands. If she kept doing that I was going to cum in my briefs.

“Sweetie, you’re going to make me blow, if I’m going to do that, I’m going to do it inside of you.”

“Oh,” She pulled away slightly. “I’ve never…”

  I looked at her puzzled.

  Oh.

  “You’ve never… had sex?” I asked.

She blushed and looked down at the desk. “No.”

  My jaw dropped.

“Are you disappointed?” She asked hesitantly. “I’m not as sophisticated as... other women.”

  “No… I’m happy,” I replied, a little taken aback. “I don’t want other women.”

Mine, something primal inside of me said.

“I’m just not sure if we should continue,” I said. Did I really want to take Rowena’s virginity in this place?

You shouldn’t have done what you did in this place, I thought.

She deserved better. I let my lesser self get the better of me.

She stepped forward and touched me again.

  “I want to…” she whispered.

“No, no,” I said, half pleading, half groaning in anticipation. “If you touch me, I won’t be able to control myself.”

  “Nikolas…”

I stood up and cupped her face. “Tell me what you want. Because for the life of me, I want you in my bed. I want to watch you on top of me, riding my cock until you come. I don’t know if you’re ready for any of that…”

“I want that, too,” she replied, breathlessly. Her eyes were dark and glassy, and the prettiest blush spread over her cheeks. “I want that so much.”

I stared at her for a moment.

“Good,” I said, pressing my lips to hers. “Come, let’s go to my apartment. It’s not far from here.”

  Chapter Seven

  Rowena

When Nikolas said his apartment was nearby, he wasn’t kidding. His apartment building was literally next door.

It was twenty floors up an elevator to his penthouse. The apartment was newly renovated and his front door opened up to a massive room with a baby grand piano right in the centre of it. Behind the piano stood rows of floor to ceiling windows that had a view of the whole city.

  It was breathtaking.

I walked around, a little aimlessly, staring outside and looking at the artwork Nikolas hung around the room. Nikolas stood back, but I could feel his eyes on me.

I turned around and met his dark gaze.

“Come here,” he said, his voice throaty. He had loosened his tie and taken off his pants.

I took a single hesitant step toward him.

He chuckled and shook his head. “Closer.” He curled his finger. He pulled me toward him when I got in arms reach.

He kissed my breasts and ran his tongue up to my neck. I trembled as he suckled on the tender skin near my ear. My knees were giving way from the sensation. I held onto his arm tight.

“I’ve got you,” he whispered in my ear as he picked me up effortlessly. He stared deeply into my eyes as he navigated us through his darkened apartment.

“I’m so happy that you’re here,” he murmured.

At the end of a very long hallway, he pushed a door open to his master bedroom. He put me down gently onto his bed. I laid back into it and watched him take the rest of his clothes off.

  The sheets smelled of him.

  I closed my eyes.

Everything smelled like him. His masculine scent permeated every part of the room.

It was heaven and a potent aphrodisiac.

I heard him open his drawer and the sound of a condom wrapper.

“You’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen,” he said, lying down beside me.

“I could look at you all night,” he whispered. I touched his jaw, rubbing the stubble gently.

“Just look?” I asked. I closed the distance between us with a kiss. He pulled me on top of him, my red hair draping over him.

“I want to make this good for you,” he whispered.

  I nodded.

“Will you undress for me? I want to see all of you,” he said.

I got up from the bed. I reached behind me and unzipped my dress.

“Slowly,” he said. His eyes trailing down my body.

I took everything off. One by one. All the while looking at Nikolas, watching me.

  “Fuck,” he said. “You’re gorgeous.”

It was funny how free and unashamed I felt with him. The way he looked at me, I could never feel ashamed. Every look was a caress, I felt like a goddess he was worshipping. The feeling was a drug I couldn’t get enough of.

I climbed on top of him. I could feel him pressed against me, his length thick and hard against my belly. I positioned myself over him.

“What are you doing?” he said. I pressed a finger to his lips.

I had no idea what I was doing, but I knew what I wanted.

I slid my netherlips up and down on his shaft. I rubbed myself on him and angling my hips just right.

He swore as I rode him like that. I moaned.

I was so wet. I knew I would come just like this but I wanted him inside me.

I lifted myself up and spread myself for him.

“Yes, sweetheart, open yourself up for me,” he whispered, positioning his cock at my entrance.

I closed my eyes and sank down onto him. The groan he let out almost tipped me over the edge. I felt a pinch of pain as he pushed into me, deeper and deeper, until he was all the way inside me.

  “Are you okay?” he asked.

  I nodded.

The pain seemed to dull a little. I moved my hips again.

He gripped the bed sheets and groaned. “Jesus, you’re so tight and wet.”

I could feel him throb inside me and the pleasure of that feeling made me move just a little more. I rocked back and forth.

“Yes, baby, fuck,” he said. He held me by the hips, guiding me back and forth. “Touch yourself. Rub that pretty pink pussy while you fuck me.”

I reached down and circled my clit.

“Nikolas,” I breathed. I was close, and I could feel him getting thicker and harder inside of me.

  “Come for me, baby,” he
begged. “Please. I want to come inside you when you do.”

I closed my eyes and leaned back, forcing myself down onto him, my clit pressing up against him as I came apart.

He pulled me down and kissed me as he came, bucking up into me with a growl.

  I slumped down on him.

“When I wake up, can we do that again?” I said sleepily.

I could feel him laugh as I closed my eyes.

“Yes, I promise you, we’re going to do that again.”

I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of Nikolas softly sleeping next to me. I sat up and admired the gorgeous man beside me. I could hardly believe that I was actually here. That this was actually my life.

  My stomach growled.

Whoops. I cringed. Nikolas stirred in his sleep but didn’t awaken.

Maybe he’s got some food around here somewhere. I tiptoed out of the room, careful not to wake him. When I reached the hallway, I relaxed and let the tiles cool my feet as I walked toward the living room.

The view was even more spectacular in the late evening.

I glanced at the baby grand piano. I wouldn’t play it, but it wouldn’t hurt to take a closer look. I sat down on the leather seat and lifted the fall board. I ran my fingers lightly over the keys.

“Rowena?” I heard the sound of Nikolas’s voice. “You’re awake.”

“I wanted to get something to eat, but I got distracted,” I said sheepishly. “Want to come and sit?”

“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” he asked as he sat down next to me.

  I nodded.

  “Do you play?” I asked.

“Yes, not as often as I like,” he said. “Do you?”

“I can play the piano, but I’m not as proficient at it like I am with the violin.”

His eyes widened. “Wow, beautiful and talented.”

“I studied music most of my life,” I explained. “It’s what I did during college. I don’t play much anymore.”

  “Why did you stop?”

  “My parents died.”

“I’m sorry, Rowena,” he said, putting an arm on my shoulder.

“It’s okay, it was a while ago,” I said dismissively.

“Someone very dear to me passed recently,” Nikolas said, pulling me closer. “Things like that don’t heal for a long time. Babushka saved my life.”

  “Babushka?”

“Her name was Anya, but she liked people calling her Babushka. She was everyone’s grandmother. I’m an orphan like you, you know? But I was much younger when my parents died. I didn’t have family here, so I had to go into the system. I turned eighteen, and I had nowhere to go. Babushka gave me a place to stay, a job…”

“It’s hard being alone in the world,” I said, resting my head on his shoulder. We both knew how hard it was. “It’s so lonely. I’m glad you had her. She was a special lady.”

“Yes, that she was,” he agreed. “Even when she died, she took care of me. All this was because of her. The money. The club. Is it strange that even though she’s gone, I still don’t want to disappoint her?”

I thought of my parents and knew that they’d be disappointed that I had quit playing music. My heart ached.

“It’s not strange,” I said in a choked voice. “We don’t want to disappoint the ones we love. But from what you just told me, she loved you very much, and there’s nothing that you could do that would disappoint her. She would only want you to be happy.”

Nikolas pressed down on a few keys. The sound echoed around in the room.

“Do you want to play something?” he asked, with a smile.

I shook my head. I felt self-conscious and ashamed of how out of practice I was. I didn’t want to be rusty and at my worst with him. I wanted him to see the best of me.

  “Another day then?”

Another day? He wanted to see me again. He said it so casually.

“Nikolas… what…” I stammered. “What are we doing here?

He laughed. “I woke up, and I followed you here. You tell me!”

“You know what I mean,” I said. “Is this like you and Kelly? Just something casual.”

“No, this is nothing like Kelly and me,” he said, his voice suddenly serious. “Nothing like that at all. I’m serious, I’d like you to come over, you can play it whenever you want.”

“You hardly know me,” I said, shaking my head.

“I feel like I do,” he said. “I feel like I’ve known you all my life.”

The heartbroken cynic in me would’ve laughed any other time. But she was quiet. What was the harm in believing in the magic of us for a little bit?

“Let’s go back to bed,” I said, taking his hand. “You promised me round two.”

“Well, I guess, if I promised,” he chuckled, picking me up and over his shoulder. I gave a little shriek.

  “Barbarian,” I giggled.

  “You haven’t seen anything yet!”

  Chapter Eight

  Nikolas

  Nikolas: What are you wearing?

I typed and sent the message on my phone. My phone buzzed.

  Rowena: Pervert

  I laughed.

Rowena: I’ll be there in a few minutes. See for yourself.

“Young love,” Yasmin sighed melodramatically in front of me, a towel slung over her shoulder.

“Don’t you have work to do?”

“What can I get for you, boss?” she laughed.

  “Water,” I replied.

“On a health kick, huh?” she said.

“I think I’ve pickled my liver enough lately,” I shrugged. “I’m ready for a new start.”

“New start, huh? Does it have anything to do with the cute redhead?”

“I don’t know what you mean,” I said, putting my phone away.

“So that redhead coming toward us, you don’t know her?” Yasmin said slyly.

  I turned.

“Hey,” Rowena smiled and waved as she walked toward me.

“Hey gorgeous,” I said, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

“Here you go boss,” Yasmin interjected, sliding over a glass of water. “Can I get you anything?”

“Um, no,” Rowena replied. “I’ll just have a little sip of your water if you don’t mind.”

“No, go ahead,” I said, handing the glass to her.

Yasmin raised her eyebrows at me and with a little laugh, she left us alone. I pulled Rowena in for a kiss.

“I’ve missed you all day, babe,” I said, kissing her earlobe and nuzzling her neck.

“Me, too,” she replied. “I have something to tell you.”

  “What is it?” I asked.

“I met up with someone from music school, she knows of a few teaching jobs for me.”

“That’s fantastic news!” I exclaimed. “I’m really proud of you, babe. This is a huge step forward.”

“I know,” Her eyes lit up at my words. “I think I’m proud of me too.”

“I don’t know why you’d be proud,” a woman’s voice interjected. “I mean, look at you.”

I didn’t see Kelly sidle up to us at the bar.

Rowena looked taken aback. I stood up and put myself in between them.

“Kelly…” I said, with a tone of warning.

“You two are very cozy. I thought you weren’t looking for a relationship, Nikolas.”

“I said I wasn’t looking for a relationship with you,” I replied, plainly.

“And what’s so wrong with me?” Kelly exclaimed. Her face turned tomato red. “I have to say she’s not really your type. Kind of meek, if you ask me, a little bit pathetic. Does this little mouse know what to do with a man like you?”

“Walk away, Kelly,” I said through gritted teeth. “You’re talking absolute trash. Just walk away.”

“What’s going on here?” A leather-clad man appeared and put his arm around Kelly. “This asshole bothering you?”

“She was bothering US,” I said. “Are you here to join in or ar
e you going to fuck off?”

“Boy, do you know who you’re dealing with?” The man puffed his chest out.

“Who? Some loser Road Rebel?” I spat. “This is my club. I don’t give a fuck who you are.”

  He laughed.

“Look around you, this isn’t your club,” he gestured around. Scattered all around the room were men in leather jackets and they were all staring at us.

“This place was Babushka’s,” the man continued. “And the old lady is gone. We own this place like we own you pretty boy, and your pretty little lady too.”

Something inside me broke free when I heard him mention Rowena.

I stood up, towering over the man.

“Listen to me now because I’ll only speak to you this one time,” I growled. “What you don’t seem to understand is that old lady had me fighting her battles. Every bruise, every broken bone, every cut, every bloody pulp that she ordered, I made with these two hands. Don’t think for a moment that I wouldn’t do it again.”

  I stared him down.

“And you need to look around a little closer,” I continued. “The old lady is gone, but her old guard is still here. We don’t play dress-up, in little matching jackets, maybe that’s why you’re feeling so bold right now, but believe me, we outnumber you. So, why don’t you back the fuck off and enjoy your night?”

The Rebel looked around and snorted derisively.

“Whatever, pretty boy,” he said. “Kelly, are you coming?”

Kelly looked like she wanted to stay more but thankfully decided against it. The two wandered off.

I turned back to Rowena. Her face was pale, and I could feel her fingers trembling.

“I’m sorry you had to hear that,” I said. My past was the last thing I wanted in our relationship. I didn’t want it tainting what we had.

“No, it’s OK, it’s not you,” she stammered. “I’ve just never…”

My heart dropped. This didn’t sound good.

“I’m sorry, this is a mistake, I don’t know what I was thinking,” she said, pulling her arm away. “I want to go home, OK?”

I followed her out of the club and to her motorcycle.
