Vrix (The Galaxos Crew Book 2)

He didn’t have to wait long, however, for her to straighten up and grasp the base of his cock firmly. The pressure at the bulb had him shifting and panting already, and as she rose up to her knees to place the head at her opening, his eyes shot and fixed firmly to the point of their joining. The sight of how unbelievably tight she was, how she stretched to take him in bit by bit… it was nothing short of paradise. Her heat enveloped him slowly, her slick folds parting with no small amount of reluctance.
She fit over him like some heavenly vice, and every shifting of her beautiful form atop him seemed to ease his length in deeper, inexorably drawn up into her. Griggs’s head flung back as her hips rocked, and she groaned in a guttural, primal sound that set his scales rattling. Even if he’d wanted to pull out, he doubted he could, and Griggs certainly didn’t seem ready to stop.
She panted and whimpered at the massive intrusion, shifting her hips to accommodate him as best she could, but Vrix was sure that nothing could take away the pounding ache she must have felt from being so thoroughly stretched—not that she’d ever had a problem stretching. That thought alone sent a quick series of flashes through his mind, imagining all the things he might do with her if – when – they got creative with their positions.
His reverie was interrupted by her sudden press downward, one hand clutched over her mouth to keep from screaming out as she buried the entirety of his huge cock deep inside her. Even through her well-toned core, the outline of it could be vaguely discerned, and it became even more obvious as she began to bounce and gyrate atop him.
Her breath drew up rapidly in pitch and frequency, seemingly driven near the point of climax by his girth and length alone. As Vrix watched her, a realization washed over him—this was for her. Despite his intense longing and almost bestial urges to fuck her brutally, to fill her until she could take no more… she was in control, and it was as it should be. With her eyes rolled back, both hands clutching at her breasts as she bounced firmly, it set in completely. He wasn’t being used by a long shot, but she was rediscovering a part of herself through their joining, and he was glad to help her along—especially when it felt so unbelievably good.
Though her tight, slick heat and motions drove him closer to climax by the moment, he bore down and shifted to hold back the inevitable. He found himself desperate to see her climax, to watch her thrash and scream in ecstasy, to collapse in exhaustion against his chest. He brought both hands to her hips then, aiding her in her firm bouncing, but more importantly, driving her down bit by bit over the large bulge at the base of his cock. She cried out anew at the new sensation, though it seemed far past pain and into some sort of post-ache bliss. No matter how hard he pressed, she only screamed her lusty moans, wordlessly begging him to go on with the fiery look in her eyes as they struggled to focus on him.
Her lips parted repeatedly, and she struggled in silence to urge words past her lips. When, amid her groaning and whimpering, she managed it, she spoke in a forceful sort of whisper. “I’m… I’m gonna… fuck, fill me!” Apparently desperate for just that, she leaned over and shut her eyes hard, slamming her body down with abandon in an attempt to drive Vrix over.
His breath hitched—just hearing her speak that way would have been enough to do it, but the suddenness with which she took the rest of his length drove him over without any chance for holding back. His head was thrown back with the force of it, his hips lifting off the bed completely as he roared out his climax.
Griggs held tight to his sides, no part of her touching the bed as she was filled, her belly swelling slightly at the immense load she took. Being so thoroughly stretched and filled drove her into her own body-wracking orgasm, her legs quivering as they tightened at his sides, her scream muffled against his chest as she rocked in short, sharp jerks against him, driving herself through the orgasm in a punishing desperation. The pulsing hammer of her heart against his chest beat against the pulse of his two, and even as he began to come down, Vrix still held her aloft, though his hips slowly descended not long after.
He held her close to him, his arms wrapped around her back, whispering a soft caution against moving too soon after joining. “Not… not yet. Don’t move. Gods, not that I’d ever want you to...” A hard shudder ran through him, the last of the thick seed being pushed deep into her as they settled against the bed in a panting, exhausted tangle.
Griggs
Griggs couldn't have moved even if the Slasu broke through the door to attack them. She could barely keep her eyes open as she sprawled across Vrix's chest, their bodies still connected. He moved her legs so her knees could rest on the mattress on either side of his hips, and the soft rasp of his scales against her thighs drove aftershocks through Griggs with each breath.
He stroked her back in a gentle caress that nearly made her purr, pressing her face against his neck. She'd never felt loved like that. Almost worshipped and revered.
Griggs drifted in a sated haze, listening to the odd staccato of his double heartbeats, until Vrix grumbled and moved the sheets over them. She stretched a little but couldn't manage much more. He kissed her cheek and neck, and Griggs managed to move her arms enough to slide under his shoulders, until she felt completely surrounded and engulfed and sheltered. He sighed and his hands rested low on her back.
"Tell me something, Cici."
She didn't even mind that he called her that, with his rough grumble and rocky accent. Griggs didn't bother to open her eyes. "Mmm?"
Vrix nuzzled behind her ear, his voice a soothing murmur that didn't disturb the enchanting languor around them both. "Why did you join the Fleet?"
It wasn't the question she expected. Maybe something about how she got so flexible, or whether she'd be into something kinkier, but not about life choices. Although she supposed they didn't know very much about each other except how much they liked fighting, dedication to the mission, and the need for a new challenge as frequently as possible.
Griggs lifted her head enough to rest her chin on his chest, watching his face as he watched her. "It was the only way out of where I was."
"Where were you?" His silver eyes sparked as he gazed at her, and he brushed the hair back from her face.
She didn't like talking about any of that, but mostly because it always felt like a weakness, a failure. With Vrix, at least, it didn't. It was just the past, something she survived, and it made her strong enough to walk into the Fleet academy and fight her way to the top despite everything stacked against her. Griggs sighed. "A small town in the middle of nowhere. I spent my whole life being told I'd never amount to anything, that my family was trash and blood always tells. That I'd be trash to the end of my life, no matter what kind of pretensions I took on or how many books I read. I fought my whole life to get out of there, to get away from it all, and the Fleet was the only way. If I hadn't... Well. I'd be stuck in some dead-end job, tied to some intolerant asshole, and pregnant with my fourth or fifth child. I'd never have even dreamed of the stars. Just accepted that Earth was the best place to stay."
Griggs frowned as she remembered the chaos and angry depression of living in such a small-minded place. Unfortunately, space travel and aliens and exposure to an entire universe of wonders didn't magically make everyone on Earth open-minded and welcoming. Some places closed down further and grew more isolated and insulated, refusing to acknowledge the progress being made. Most people never escaped from those communities, since they didn't see a reason to leave.
Vrix went back to rubbing her back. "You are more than that."
She hesitated before admitting one of her deeper secrets, something she couldn't even admit to herself most days. But she knew Vrix would understand, or at least he wouldn't judge her. "I didn't want to believe them, but I think... part of me still does. That I'm waiting for everyone to find out that I'm trash. That I'm fighting not to be discovered and outed for being a fake and a cheat and a liar. It can be hard to leave that all behind."
"You have," he said. The Xaravian took a deep breath
and Griggs rose about a foot in the air as his chest expanded, laughing a little as she held on to his shoulders. Vrix squeezed her butt, an erotic but oddly reassuring kind of touch, and patted her hip. "You are so much more than where you came from. Look at all you've accomplished, and the things you've prioritized in your life. You focus on other people rather than yourself. You've sacrificed so much for others, to help others. You should be proud of yourself."
Griggs rested her head on his chest again, comforted by the steady breathing and thump-thump of his hearts. "Some days are easier than others."
She'd never exposed so much of herself—of her true self—to anyone, much less a man. Even Isla didn't know that much about Griggs's upbringing and her desperate need to escape. Griggs hoped Vrix was as good a man as she thought.
The comfortable quiet stretched on until Griggs nearly dozed off.
But Vrix's hands drifted to rest on the backs of her thighs, right under her butt, and Griggs shifted her hips to encourage him more. His cock, still deep inside her, twitched in response. Vrix chuckled, kissing her again, and everything got all slow and heated. Griggs didn't know if she had the energy for more shenanigans, but the kissing was so nice she got lost in his touch.
When Vrix broke the kiss, he bumped his nose to hers. "So what would you do, if you could do anything in the universe?"
Griggs pushed up on her elbows so she could look at him, but also because it gave her a better angle to rock her hips against him and nudge his cock deeper in short little bumps that filled her with unbelievable ecstasy. "I don't know. I guess part of me always expected to be found out and sent back to that life, so I never dreamed too big. I wanted to serve in the Fleet until I could retire with enough saved up to find a nice planet to live on until I die. I never considered much more than that."
Vrix's eyes blazed as he squeezed her thighs tighter and dragged her body against his, his hips moving in a slow thrust to meet her rocking. But his voice held just a hint of exasperation. "You will accomplish so much more than that. You'll change lives and free worlds from tyranny and change the course of the entire universe. You just need to open your eyes and figure out where you want to start."
"Oh really?" Griggs arched her back so the rough scales near his cock teased her clit, and her muscles started to shake again as she tried to move faster. Newton help her, the barbarian might kill her with lust. She'd never be able to get enough of him, of his body or his touch.
"Yes," Vrix said, and suddenly rolled them over so he was once more on top, pinning her arms over her head as he moved his hips in a lazy circle against her, until Griggs jerked in ecstasy and wrapped her legs around his waist. He leaned down to nip at her breasts and Griggs moaned. "And I'll be right there with you to make it happen."
She wanted to laugh at the grand dreams he seemed to have, but his mouth engulfed her breast and his hands squeezed her ass and tilted her hips to give him greater access, and every other thought fled her mind. Griggs closed her eyes and surrendered, already putty in his hands.
Vrix
Vrix could have slept for days, tangled up with Griggs in the comfortable bed. They made love through the night until they were both exhausted, and though he woke automatically after many years of the same schedule, he wanted her to sleep as long as possible. She'd had a rough few days and a long night, so she needed the rest.
He untangled himself from her limbs and slid his pillow into her arms instead; she hugged it closer and sighed, drifting deeper asleep. Vrix showered and dressed as quickly and quietly as possible, sneaking out of the room to go downstairs. He needed to feed her and make sure she kept her strength up. He knew Griggs well enough to know she'd run herself into the ground without a second thought. Ridiculous, stubborn Earther.
At the bar, Pyix sent the breakfast order back to the kitchen, but his expression betrayed a deep unease as he looked at Vrix. "I been waiting to tell you this, but you need to get out of here."
Vrix eased onto a stool at the bar and leaned closer so the older warrior didn't have to speak loudly. "What's going on?"
"Something is going on in the city," he said. "There were raids across the city by the Caihiri, but there are rumors that Alliance agents are running around as well, sneaking through the underground to find traitors and spies. You'd better get the hell off Caihiri or you'll be arrested for pirates. I can't take on the whole Alliance for you, as much as I'd want to."
Vrix's hearts sank. They were close to finding Heidi, but he couldn't risk Griggs being arrested by the Alliance or the Caihiri. If the Caihiri got hold of her, she'd end up in a Slasu club before the end of the day, and if the Alliance got her... she'd be executed for treason. He couldn't let that happen.
He nodded his thanks to Pyix for the warning. "We have one meeting this morning. If nothing pans out, we're on the first thing burning off this planet. Thank you for your help, brother."
Pyix nodded, shook his hand, and went back to his business. Vrix picked up the food and slowly climbed the stairs, already making plans. They'd meet the Tyluk and find out if he had any useful information, and if there wasn't a location to find Heidi at that moment, they needed to call off the mission and get back to the Galaxos. If the Xaravians were worried about the Caihiri pulling raids across the city, then Vrix definitely shared that concern. Convincing Griggs to get on a space taxi without her friend wouldn't be easy.
A bad feeling brewed in his guts, though he couldn't put a finger on what bothered him most: the Slasu, the shady Tyluk, the Fleet officers roaming the planet... There was a veritable smorgasbord of potential disasters to choose from.
Griggs was half-awake and sitting up in the tangled sheets when he walked in the door, and she immediately flushed when she saw him. He grinned, unable to help himself. He loved seeing her all shy and sleepy, blinking and yawning as she gathered the sheets around herself and scooted to the edge of the bed. "You're already up."
"Yes," he said, and set the tray on the table. "I figured you'd laze about all day if I didn't get coffee and food to motivate you."
She gave him something close to a dirty look, but a tiny smile lessened the irritation in her eyes. "If someone hadn't kept me up all night, I wouldn't need so much coffee to wake up."
"A price I'm willing to pay," he said, and leaned to kiss her. Her soft lips parted immediately and welcomed him in, and Vrix groaned as he caught her face in his hands. He wanted to bear her back to the mattress and test that unbelievable flexibility with some truly creative ways to join their bodies. But the clock ticked on and they had a meeting to keep.
Vrix straightened and tilted his head at the shower. "Get ready. We still have our meeting at nine bells."
She grumbled but stood, dropping the sheets and wandering completely naked toward the bathroom. Vrix stared hungrily at her ass, and didn't even feel guilty when she glanced back and caught him drooling. Griggs just laughed and stepped into the shower.
Luckily she didn't dally and instead popped back out relatively quickly, motivated by the cup of coffee he offered as soon as she was dressed. Vrix kept getting distracted by every movement she made—every bend, or turn, or gesture. And the costume she pulled on... It almost undid him. She looked like a special treat just for him.
He grumbled and debated if they had enough time for him to take another, much colder shower. Vrix dragged on his boots and shook a finger at her. "We've got to focus."
"I've got plenty of focus," she said, sashaying to the door as she pulled on the Xarav robes to cover the flimsy costume. "You're the one who doesn't have his game face on."
Vrix made sure to lock the door behind him, and spanked her hip to hustle her down the stairs. "Right. Let's go get a blonde Earther."
She smirked and strode through the bar, threatening at least one Xaravian who stared too long. Griggs was finally back to herself.
The city felt emptier than usual as they walked to the market where the Tyluk wanted to meet, though the number of pedestrians increased as they entered the ma
rket itself. The narrow streets led them through a maze of shops and cafes and random central squares with broken fountains, and Vrix's uneasiness grew with each passing moment. Something definitely wasn't right.
They pretended to shop for some trinkets and snacks as they wandered closer to the cafe the Tyluk mentioned, a small street-side set of tables right on one of the main squares where a great deal of people transited on their way to other places. It was the perfect place to make someone disappear quickly: at least six streets converged on the square, and tall buildings all around made it difficult to orient once you got turned around.
Griggs stayed close to him, as if she shared the unease, and at one point managed to whisper to him that she thought they were being followed. Vrix did, too, though he couldn't have said who it was that tailed them and for what purpose. The Slasu, so much shorter than most of the other species on Caihiri, could hide more easily in the crowds. He'd never see them. Vrix kept a secure grip on her arm as his dread of losing her grew. It was all a terrible idea.
The enormous Tyluk waited at one of the cafe tables, already working through a stack of eggs and pastry concoctions. Griggs eased into one of the seats near him, though she made sure there was enough room to move if things went sideways. Vrix always appreciated a sensible woman.
