“Oh, Leia that is so sad.”

“Yes, but what I’m saying is she left when the going got tough, that’s not the sort of person I want. I want someone who will be at my side no matter what. I’m not disposable, they can’t just throw me away until something better comes along.”

Julia leaned over and kissed her, she ended it before she got carried away.

“So, do you want to go travelling around with me for fun.”

“I said I wanted fun I never said I wanted to go around the world.” Julia was puzzled.

“Why not when we leave here, we could get a campervan, then we’ll always have a bed, and we can cook, and travel anywhere we like.”

Julia didn’t know what to say, she didn’t want to upset Leia, but she felt bamboozled. Was Leia trying to relive her youth, was she getting confused, or was it too much alcohol again.

“Come on I would like to get to bed.”

“Are you stopping in your room tonight?”

“Yes, I need time to think if that’s okay.”

“Of course, I’ll see you in the morning.”

She picked up her I pad and went on Facebook, she typed in Emma Humphries.

she expected one or two names to come up, there was twelve. She pressed the first one, she knew the woman would be in her late twenties, the same age as Leia, she also knew she could live anywhere. After the first five or six she realized how futile it was, she wouldn’t know if she found her or not. She just wanted to know if she had gone around the world in the end or had her dreams failed as well. Perhaps she could e mail them, one of them might answer, it was worth a try. After an hour, she had emailed all of them, with a short message asking if they knew Leia Hudson, well she would see in the next few days if she had any replies. She lay there wondering why she was doing this, it had been obvious last night that Leia had never gotten over Emma, no matter what she had said. She wished she could have a love like that, she was sure she wouldn’t let her go.

The following day Skylar and Sandie went on a trip the hotel was doing to Limassol. They had gone to a club just outside of the hotel, it wasn’t a gay club, and neither of them were enjoying it, they decided to leave early a couple of the men were being abusive. It was the same shit everywhere. Why did men think that lesbians wanted a man to show them a good time?

  “That was scary”

“I suggest we stop in the hotel for our entertainment in future.”

  Julia laughed.

“That didn’t come out quite right, did it.”

  “Come on let’s go bed.”

They both undressed and Leia slipped on a pair of panties and a t shirt. Julia just stripped off and slid between the sheets.

Leia didn’t dare to move, eventually she turned facing away from her, her mind and body were in turmoil.

  “Are you okay Leia.”

“Yes thanks, have you enough room.”

  “Plenty, goodnight.”

  CHAPTER FIVE

The sun was shining through the windows it took a few minutes to realise not only where she was but who was holding her close. Julia was still fast asleep, her arm was across Leia’s body, holding her fast.

She could imagine what it would be like to

make love to her, but she was so young. Not that she needed anyone with more experience, but she would imagine Julia was high maintenance. She suddenly felt her move.

  “Good morning.”

Julia jumped, “I’m so sorry.” she blushed.

“I knew you couldn’t keep your hands off me.” Leia joked.

  Julia gently punched her arm.

They had fallen into a comfortable type of friendship over the last few days, especially since meeting Skylar and Sandie.

Leia went to the bathroom for a shower, as she stood with the warm water cascading over her body, she was aware of

  Julia watching her.

“I’m… I’m sorry I really need to pee.”

Leia turned away to give her some privacy.

  “It’s okay.”

“So, what have we got planned for today.”

  “Breakfast and jet skiing.”

“One each or one between us.”

  “Your call.”

“I think I’m a bit scared to drive one they seem so powerful.”

“Well we will just try one for starters, come on I’m starving.” They had breakfast then made their way down to the beach they had their shorts and t shirts on and flip flops. Soon they were being strapped into their lifejackets and given instructions on what to do. For a half hour Julia enjoyed having her arms tightly wrapped around Leia, she wouldn’t have swapped places even though secretly she wanted to ride the jet-ski. They had only fell off once

which had been hilarious trying to get on to it again.

“Come on let’s have a drink, I think I swallowed half the sea trying to get back on that thing.”

“Not as easy as James Bond makes it look.”

“Oh, is that who you were trying to be?”

Leia grabbed her round the waist pulling her close. Julia’s breath hitched, just for a second they looked at one another and they both thought the other was going to kiss them.

“Does that make me Miss Moneypenny” Julia laughed, breaking the moment.

  “More like Christmas Jones.”

Julia quickly reached for her phone and googled Christmas Jones, she blushed, “thank you.”

“You are beautiful, you just need to believe it.”

“Come on I need a swim.”

Leia watched Julia bound along the beach she dived straight into the sea.

Skylar and Sandie had an exciting time parasailing, they then went into town and

bought a few presents for Megan and Jess

  and the children.

“What do you think of Leia and Julia?”

Sandie thought for a minute or two,

“I like them very much they are both trying so hard not to get involved with one another, and I don’t know why?”

“So, you think they love or perhaps that’s a bit strong, they like one another?”

“I loved you the first time I met you in the toilets.”

“That doesn’t sound right, I know that’s where we met but at least say we met when I was trying to deal with an injury or something, otherwise it sounds as thou I’m a pervert.”

  Sandie couldn’t stop laughing.

“It hardly sounds romantic,” she agreed.

“So, what do you think is wrong with them?”

“I think it might have something to do with the age gap.”

“I know but it isn’t a big gap.”

“It is now, it won’t be in five years’ time,

  Julia acts young.”

  “it’s a shame.”

  “Perhaps they’ll work it out.”

Back at the hotel they decided to go to bed for what was left of the afternoon, before meeting with them for dinner.

“Hi guy’s did you have a good day.”

“Brill, what about you what was the town like.”

  “Bloody expensive.”

“Let’s have a drink at the bar, Julia you and Sandie go and sit over there, and we will bring your drinks over.”

“Julia can I ask you something personal, do you fancy Leia.”

Julia looked like a deer caught in headlights,

  “How did you know?”

“It’s the way you look at her. Don’t worry she looks at you just the same.”

  Julia’s shoulders seemed to slump,

“I fancied her the first time we met when I asked her to plan my wedding, the trouble is I think she’s still in love with her first girlfriend.”

  “Are you sure.”

  Julia nodded her head.

“How long ago did they break up.”

  “nine years.”

“I don’t think anyone would still be in love with an ex that long.”

  “I’m trying to find her.”

  “Why?

Before Julia could answer the girls re-joined them,

“Are you okay Jules” Leia asked, she leaned over and kissed her head.

  “yes thanks.”

“So, what have you two been talking about then.”

  Sandie noticed Julia cringe.

“You two” said Sandie, “what else is there to talk about.”

Leia and Skylar looked at one another and laughed.

  “That’s alright then.”

They had a lovely night again they really did enjoy each other’s company.

“Should we plan to do something together tomorrow?”

  “What do you fancy.”

  “How about climbing.”

“That sounds a bit energetic for a holiday.”

  “Let’s take a boat out.”

“That sounds fun, can anyone steer one.”

“I’m sorry guys but we don’t have that sort of money, but you two could go” Skylar replied.

“No, the four of us will do something leave it with me,” said Julia. They made their way in for dinner.

The next morning, they were all waiting patiently in reception, after breakfast, a taxi drew up and they all piled in. Julia still hadn’t told them where they were going, and it wasn’t until the taxi drew up at the airport that she couldn’t hold her excitement any longer.

“We are doing a tour of the island by air, in a helicopter, and before you say anything this is my wedding present to you both.”

“Thank you, Julia, it’s fantastic, you didn’t have to do this.”

  Leia remained quiet.

They boarded the helicopter and were soon on their way. They followed the coastline all around the island, there were some beautiful beaches. The pilot was informative, he showed them the Troodos mountains, telling them at certain times of year they could go skiing in the morning and be on the beach in the afternoon. It was a beautiful island. Even Leia’s mood had thawed and by the time they landed they were all in a good mood. They went for lunch in Limassol and made their way back to the hotel.

“Should we go on the beach, then you and Leia can have a race on the jet-ski’s, while Julia and I go shopping.”

Skylar and Leia thought that it was a great idea. Skylar knew that Sandie wanted a chance to talk to Julia without Leia being there.

“Come on Julia we’ll leave these two to fight it out, just be careful.”

Julia and Sandie walked to the shop and called in the coffee shop instead.

“Come on tell me what you’ve been up to.”

Julia blushed “We were talking the other night and when she mentioned her ex her eyes filled with tears when she thought about her, she had to go to work because her dad had an accident instead of going to tour the world with her girlfriend. How can anyone compete with that, I thought if I found her and she was happily married or something then Leia wouldn’t think about her and might think about me.”

“Oh Julia, I think you are asking for trouble, after nine years she could have found her if she had wanted to. You found her easily, she could have done it easily.”

“I didn’t think of that. Oh god she will be mad won’t she.”

“So how did you get in touch with her.”

“I looked for her on Facebook when the names popped up, I wrote to all of them asking if they knew her. Someone’s wrote back. She’s going to hate me isn’t she.”

“You haven’t arranged a meeting, or anything have you?”

  “No, not yet.”

“Just delete your e mail address and forget it.”

Julia nodded a tear fell onto her cheek.

“I can’t do right for doing wrong.”

Sandie put her arm around her.

  “Tell her, tell her everything.”

“How can I, she already thinks I’m immature.”

“Julia you are one of the nicest people I know. When she knows why you did it, she will love you for it. If she wants too, she can still find her if that’s the case, she will still like you for going through all that trouble. If she doesn’t, she doesn’t deserve you.”

“Thank you, I’m glad I met you and Skylar.”

“Come on then let’s see whose won.”

They made their way back to the beach.

  CHAPTER SIX

Skylar and Sandie were in the dining room waiting to see if Leia and Julia arrived, they waited for half an hour before ordering their dinner. Sandie was upset in case something had happened.

Leia was pacing up and down the bedroom.

“How could you do that, why would I want to see someone who left me ten years ago.” she shouted.

“I’m sorry, I thought you still loved her I just wanted to help.”

“No, no you didn’t, you thought it would be good for you, no actually you didn’t think.”

Julia went to put her hand on Leia, she pulled her body away.

“Don’t touch me, don’t talk to me and don’t try and help me,” she walked out of the room banging the door.

Julia cried into the pillow, she could have gone into another room, but she was determined not to, she hadn’t done any of this maliciously she just wanted to help.

Skylar and Sandie were walking along the beach after dinner carrying their shoes their feet just touching the water’s edge.

“I’m sorry if I messed up the evening Skylar.”

“Oh, babe you didn’t, I would want to know the truth I’m sure Leia does deep down she will just be in shock.”

“I hope they sort it out we haven’t got many days of the holiday left.”

  “Have you enjoyed it though.”

“It’s been fabulous. I don’t want to go home I want to stop here with you.”

“You’ll love it when you’re back at work, you know you will.” Sandie laughed.

“Maybe, I loved the helicopter ride perhaps I could do that in the force.”

“God I would worry about you more than I do now.”

They went to the bar by the pool, they spotted Leia getting drunk.

  “Do you want some company?”

  She nodded her head.

“Do you know what she did?”

Sandie put her hand on Leia’s shoulder.

“She only did it because she loved you.”

“I know, I was so angry, but I can understand it now.”

“Do you think you should be telling her and not us.”

Leia nodded she stood up “you’re right.”

She made her way up to their room, when she walked in, she could hear Julia still crying on the bed, she felt like shit. She

  went over to her.

“I’m sorry, thank you for trying to help me.”

  Julia looked up

“You were wrong, I didn’t still love her, but that wasn’t your fault it was mine.”

“Why was it yours” Julia asked.

“Because I should have told you I fancied you instead of trying to hide it.”

“You are not just saying that to stop me crying.”

Leia pulled her into her arms and held her tight. She bent her head and her lips covered Julia’s the kiss deepened. She slowly pulled back.

  “Believe me now”

Julia nodded her smile was beaming. Leia couldn’t believe the change in her.

“Let me make a coffee, I think I might need to sober up slightly and I don’t want you think I’m going to make love to you because I’m drunk. Do you want anything to eat, I can ring down for some sandwiches and savouries?”

  “I’d love some.”

The restaurant had sent up a large silver tray of various sandwiches, fresh fruit, cheese and biscuits and some dainty pastries. Leia took the tray in the lounge and put it on the table by settee, along with the coffee. Julia snuggled up close.

They ate and talked until most of the food was gone.

“Come on let’s go to bed.” Leia slowly started to undo Julia’s clothes. Julia grasped all her clothes and started to pull them off Leia
.

  “Slowly, we’ve got all night.”

They were both naked as they fell onto the bed. Julia’s body was deep under Leia’s.

Leia snuggled into her neck smelling the coconut shampoo, as she kissed the nape of her neck. Julia groaned. Her hands moved slowly and gently over the firm pert breasts, they weren’t large, just right.

Julia’s breath caught in her throat as her nipples enlarged as Leia’s mouth pulled gently on one nipple and then moving onto the other.

  “Oh God Leia.”

Leia moved down her body her hands exploring the body that was beneath her.

She murmured her name as she moved between her legs, her tongue seeking out her clit, the wetness of her lips telling Leia that she was turned on, as she moved gently up and down, she felt Julia’s body tense before she went over the edge. Leia followed her. She rolled off her gasping for breath,

  “Are you okay.”

Tears were falling down Julia’s cheeks, she nodded.

“It… was beautiful, I …” she sobbed and held Leia close, “thank you.”

“Baby you don’t have to thank me, you are so sexy.”

They lay in each other’s arms and fell asleep.

  ***

“I can’t believe it is almost the end of our holiday.”

“Have you two decided what you are doing next?”

“No, not really we thought we might go and see both families and then we might carry on travelling for a while.”

“What will you do about money.”

“I think we’ll just work where we can, we will just be asking for food and lodgings, and a bit of money for petrol.”

“I hope you come to see us before you go.”

“You aren’t far from us I say that we don’t have anywhere to live yet.”

“I’d offer you somewhere, but we’ve only got one bedroom.”

“Don’t worry we can always stop with my brother, if the worse comes to the worse.”

“Since it’s our last night should we all book into the beach restaurant tonight.”

  “Great choice.”
