I lifted one brow, but then reach into my pocket and pull out my phone. I hand it to her. “Go ahead and program yourself on in.”

She took the phone from me, but looked at me as if it’s some sort of trick. “Really?”

“Of course. I’d love your number.”

“If that was the case, then why did you unmatch me on the app?” She started typing her number into my phone.

“I didn’t,” I told her honestly. “I deleted the entire app.”

She glanced up at me, her eyes big and round. “Jesus, was it that bad?”

“Last night?” I furrowed my brows. “Of course not. Hell, the opposite. It just got me thinking…that’s all.”

“You know that really explains nothing, right?”

I shrugged my shoulders. “Your conditions didn’t ask for an explanation.”

“Maybe I should make a third condition for that…”

I dropped my hands below the table and reached across to find her knee. No one could see my hand, but I moved slightly up her thigh and I could feel her shiver beneath me. “Sure, you could do that. Or, you could meet me in the bathroom in five minutes.”

I stood and walked away from the table. I could feel her eyes following me as I walked out of the room.

She’s coming…in more ways than one.

  Chapter Three

  Emma

There had to be some sort of explanation for my reaction right now. I’d spent all day furious at Dylan for last night, and here he was, convincing me for a repeat?

And I was saying yes. God, was I saying yes.

My entire body was saying yes, please. I felt like I was on fire and he was the only one who could put me out. I wanted to run behind him and take him up on everything he was offering.

  So…why couldn’t I move?

My feet were glued to the floor and my ass to the seat. Everything inside of me was screaming—go! My brain, however, was whispering—watch out. It was one thing having a one-night stand with a hot guy, but…repeating it—and with him, specifically? I was going to get attached. I didn’t want to. I was going to try not to, but…what if I did? I’d never done the one-night stand thing before and the only people I’d been with in any sort of sexual capacity had turned in to relationships.

Technically speaking, Blake was my first and that had been my longest relationship to date. However, I’d fooled around with guys prior to losing my virginity and yet still, I always ended up dating them for some period of time. That’s who I was—a relationship person.

Dylan was not offering a relationship. He couldn’t. He didn’t even live here. I understood that. But it didn’t mean that I would—or could—feel nothing. However, if I worried about that now…I could be missing out on a great weekend. I could be missing out on crossing everything off my list.

I definitely didn’t want to do that. What if this was my only chance?

Standing up slowly, I forced myself to my feet.

A few people waved at me or engaged in small talk as I crossed the room, but I quickly ended every conversation as quickly as possible. Making a beeline for the exit, I headed out into the hallway and in search of the bathroom.

When I reached the bathroom door, I knocked on it. The door opened slightly and a hand snaked out, grabbed my arm, and pulled me in.

“Ah!” I gasped at the sudden movement, then twist around to see Dylan standing in front of me.

He closed the door behind me and locked it, and I looked around to see that we were in a small one-room bathroom that was actually pretty luxurious. There was a padded bench to one side next to a shelving unit with supplies and toiletries, and plumbing appliances on the opposite side.

Dylan approached me like an animal stalking his prey. His hand brushed against my cheek and then moved to the back of my neck, pulling me closer to him as his lips descended on mine.

My eyes fluttered to a close at the feeling of his mouth capturing me, his tongue sliding across me in a way that made me famished with desire.

“Dylan…” I groaned out his name.

“Do you know what I thought when I first saw you tonight, Emma?” He spoke to me in a low, gravelly voice as he let his lips brush against mine. His hands cupped my face and my arms wrapped around his waist, wanting to be as close to him as I possibly could be.

  I shook my head. “What?”

“That I must have done something right. I must have pleased some higher power to be graced with the opportunity to see you again…” He kissed me again and I melted into his arms. “Last night...today...well, I’ve never been more confused.”

“Confused?” I furrowed my brow, trying to understand what he was saying...or not saying. But every sensation I was feeling in my body as he touched me made my brain go fuzzy.

Dylan reached down and slid his hands across my thighs. He gripped the hem of my dress and slid it up until it was bunched around my waist. His fingers hooked the top of my panties and he pushed them down my legs.

Lowering himself onto his knees, he touched my legs, encouraging me to move them apart. I did and he gripped one of my legs and lifted it onto his shoulder.

I shivered at the realization that I’m entirely exposed to him—open in a way that I’d rarely been before...and only steps away from an entire wedding party.

“Fuck, you look amazing…” Dylan groaned as he moved even closer…and then I feel him. His tongue slid across me and it was everything I could do to not crumble to the floor in a heap.

“Oh, God…” I gasped when he slid a finger inside me as his tongue lapped at my clit.

“Shhh,” he reminded me, pausing for a moment.

I remembered where we were and who could be on the other side of the bathroom door. I bit my lips, trying to silence myself as my eyes closed and I leaned my head back against the wall.

Dylan continued to deftly lick and suck my most sensitive flesh until I was shaking against him. I could feel my orgasm so close that my entire body began to tremble in anticipation of the big moment.

“Not yet,” he growled, pulling away from me. He removed my leg from his shoulder and placed my foot back down on the ground.

I slid down the wall slightly, trying to stabilize myself when my entire body felt like jelly.

He grasped my waist and turned me around until I was facing the wall, my hands braced against the white concrete. My dress had fallen back down around my knees at all the movement, but he pushed it back up, bunching it at the top of my ass.

A hard slap came down across my bare cheek. “Fucking perfect.”

Despite the twinge of pain, I pushed back farther into his hand. I wanted more.

The sound of a belt buckle and then a zipper sliding down came from behind me, then the sound of foil being unwrapped. Within seconds, I could feel his length pressed against my core.

A moan escaped my lips and I grinded my hips against him. His fingers dug into my flesh, holding my hips steady as he pressed himself inside of me.

He didn’t wait. He didn’t move slowly or gently, but instead, slammed himself as deep as he could go. My body rocketed forward, only stopped by the hard barrier of the wall in front of me. The full feeling overwhelmed me and my eyes closed as I concentrated on everything I was experiencing.

His hand slid up my back and came to rest at the front of my throat. He pulled my head backward, tilting me until I was looking at him. He devoured my mouth with his as he began pumping in and out of me in long, swift movements.

I nipped at his lips, wanting to taste him. “Harder…” I found myself saying, a surprise even to me.

His eyes darkened at my command and he picked up his pace, pounding into me like he owned me. And for this moment in time...he did. I wanted to be everything he needed. I wanted to take everything he was offering.

As the tension in my body began to build and I moved closer and closer to release, I elongated my neck and moved his hand across my throat. I pulled against his grip, tightening his hold on me. I’d n
ever done anything like that before, but suddenly I knew what I wanted. I wanted to feel completely under his control. I wanted him to take everything from me, including my very will.

I wanted to place every bit of trust I had in him and know that he’d take care of me.

Dylan seemed to understand exactly what I was doing. He tightened his grip around my neck and I felt my ability to breathe lessen. With every thrust of himself inside me, I felt his fingers squeeze a little more and my vision slowly begin to sway.

  And then it happened.

My climax barreled through me faster than I’d ever expected. Waves of pleasure rushed my body as I began to shake against him, unraveling entirely from the inside out.

He loosened his grip just as my orgasm was beginning to slow and a rush of air hit my lungs. The sudden sensation sparked an entirely new wave in me and I cried out as a second climax slammed against me. My knees completely buckled underneath me, but he held me against him, pinning me to the wall.

He grunted as he finished and after what seemed like an eternity, we both stilled and slowly caught our breaths.

Dylan moved me to the padded bench and helped me sit down as I tried to regain my bearings. He refastened his pants and belt buckle before checking his reflection in the mirror. “I’m all flushed,” he joked. “Everyone is going to know what we did in here...if they didn’t hear you.”

“Sorry.” A smile slid across my lips. “I couldn’t help myself.”

He grinned back at me, then leaned down and placed a kiss against my lips. “Better believe it.”

Carefully, I stood and pulled my panties back on. “You should probably go out first. I’ll wait a few minutes and then leave.”

He nodded. “Good idea. See you out there.”

Once he had left, I double checked my reflection in the mirror. My hair was wild and my neck was red. Shit. Doing the best I could, I combed out my hair with my fingers and splashed some cold water across my neck and chest to cool down. It wasn’t a perfect solution, but it had somewhat worked. Thankfully, the venue was dimly lit for mood lighting, so I hoped that would help keep anyone from asking why I looked like a tomato.

I took a deep breath and paused in front of the bathroom door. All I could think about was the fact that I wanted to see Dylan again. Maybe tonight.

  I’m completely screwed.

  Chapter Four

  Dylan

Emma looked so sweet when she was sleeping. She was curled up beside me on the bed in the hotel room I was staying at. Her lashes rested against her cheeks and her mouth was just slightly parted. She looked rested, peaceful, and I didn’t want to do anything except watch her for a little while longer even though I knew our alarm was going to go off soon.

Wedding festivities would be in full swing today, and there was no doubt that I wouldn’t see much of her until the actual ceremony itself. A cloud hung over me at the thought and I frowned.

  What was I doing?

I’m lying in bed—naked—longingly watching a beautiful woman sleeping beside me and feeling sad at the idea of the next few hours without her. It had been a long time since I’d been this...sappy? If my friends could see me now, they’d laugh at me.

  But then? They’d caution me.

It was dangerous to be feeling so much, so soon for someone I was not going to be with long-term. First of all, I’d just gotten out of a relationship a year ago and while I had mostly moved on from the entire disaster, I wasn’t necessarily ready to dive into something new. Second, and probably most pivotal, is the fact that I don’t live here. I was only in town for the weekend, and a woman like Emma? She didn’t seem like the fling type, despite her continual pattern of falling into bed with me now two nights in a row.

No, she was deeper than that. When she kissed me, it wasn’t a means to an end. It wasn’t just a physical expression as she worked toward an internal goal. It was emotional and meaningful. She kissed me with her whole heart and I couldn’t help but hold her in my arms with mine.

A loud beeping suddenly filled the air as the alarm clock on my phone interrupted my thoughts. I reached over to the nightstand as quickly as I could to turn it off, but Emma was already stirring.

“Jesus, it’s morning already?” she asked.

I smirked at her. “Morning tends to come pretty fast when you’re awake until three o’clock.”

“And who’s fault is that?” She lightly smacked my chest as she pushed up into a seated position, then stretched her arms and yawned.

“We can just blame it on being hard at work on the toast,” I told her. “I’m sure no one will assume we actually mean my finger was in your ass all night.”

A dark crimson blush shot across her face. “Dylan!”

“What? It’s true,” I teased her, loving seeing the prudish side of her on display when I knew for a fact that this woman was wild. She was able and willing to try everything I threw at her, and then some. Her sexual libido was like none I’d ever met before—hungry for more than I was even sure I could provide. We’d already checked off a few more items on her sex list the last two nights together, and I was more than willing to complete the rest tonight.

“What happens in the bedroom, stays in the bedroom.”

“Of course, but we’re literally still in bed,” I reminded her, pointing to the mattress beneath us.

She rolled her eyes, but a small smile stole her lips. “I need to get home and get ready for today. I’ll see you later?”

I leaned over and kissed her. “See you as we’re walking down the aisle.”

Emma giggled, as if I was asking her to marry me or something. “You’re ridiculous.”

She scooted off the bed quickly, pulling the sheets with her as she wrapped herself in them. Roaming around the room, she collected her clothes that had been strewn across in every direction. Soon she was entirely dressed—in last night’s outfit—and gave me a wave goodbye as she slipped out the hotel room door.

I smiled as I laid back down against the pillow and yawned. Last night had been freaking amazing. I already knew that there was no way I was letting her sleep anywhere else tonight but with me.

The reminder of my flight, first thing in the morning tomorrow, hit me like a ton of bricks. I wasn’t sure why, but I felt truly sad about the fact that she wouldn’t be in my life past the next twenty-four hours.

Grabbing my phone, I opened up Facebook and typed her name into the search engine. Her profile popped up and I scrolled through it. There were a few selfies, a couple pictures of her bookshelves, and several pictures of her hugging different dogs.

Strange. I certainly hadn’t seen any dogs at her house. I wondered if she volunteered for a rescue or something like that.

Scrolling a little farther, I paused as I came across a picture of her cozied up to a tall, dark-haired man. The caption read: “my one and only.” I gritted my teeth and clicked through to the next photo. It was another of her and this dark-haired man, this time kissing beneath a mistletoe last Christmas. This one was branded “my first and last kiss.”

I closed out of the photo and paused for a moment, taking a deep breath. Obviously, whoever the fuck this man in the photos was...he certainly wasn’t her last kiss. I remembered her talking about her ex-boyfriend, but she hadn’t given me a ton of details other than the fact that he’d completely lacked in the “pleasing a woman” department.

Still, to see her so in love, so happy with this stranger? It was doing something to me. I wondered what it would be like to see her look at me like that, to see her post a photo of us where she declared her love to the world. That was the thing I was learning about her—Emma did nothing in part. When she set her mind to something, she dove in head first. She gave her entire heart and held nothing back, and I couldn’t stop myself from wondering what it would be like to be the recipient of that type of love and affection.

Any man who would leave her—or let her leave—after experiencing all that she had to offer...they must be certifiab
ly insane. Hell, I must be certifiably insane because I would be doing just that.

I clicked “Add Friend” on her profile in the top corner and then placed my phone back down on the nightstand.

A sudden banging on my hotel room door caught me off guard. Had she forgotten something?

I slipped out of bed and grabbed my boxers, then pulled them on quickly as I walked toward the hotel room door.

“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Jackson said from the hallway outside my door as I opened it and found myself staring at him. He pushed past me and into the hotel room. He pointed at my bed. “That’s a sex bed.”

“What?” I furrowed my brow, trying to catch up.

“Don’t play innocent with me, you dick.” Jackson crossed his arms over his chest. “I saw little miss maid of honor leaving here a few minutes ago. And that—” He pointed to the bed again. “That is a bed that’s seen a lot of sex since last night.”

I followed his gesture toward the bed, which was indeed a complete mess of tangled sheets and pillows strewn everywhere. I turned back to face my best friend of over ten years. “Your point?”

“Dude, I so had an in with her last night. You knew I did!”

I chuckled lightly and shrugged my shoulders as I walked over to the nightstand and picked up a bottle of water, quickly taking a few sips. “Again...your point?”

“Cockblocker,” he said, now laughing and shaking his head. “You’re such a fucking dick. Think she’d be up for round two with me tonight?”

“There’s plenty of other women at this wedding. Take your pick,” I told him, irritation now sweeping through me at the thought of him trying to hit on Emma again. “But Emma? I better not see you even breathe in her direction.”

Jackson put his hands up. “Christ. Someone’s a little testy in the mornings. Fine. You can have her. But just remember—you owe me one.”

I rolled my eyes. “Okay, sure.”
