The Illicit Affairs

The club was beginning to grow extremely crowded. I noticed celebrities walking around. This proved Avery had been right. The Siren was one of the hottest new clubs in town. People were coming up the stairs, settling into various sections scattered around of the club. As the lights suddenly dimmed the music changed to a very sultry tune.

I took a sip of my drink while I finished texting Avery.

I might be leaving. Where are you?

The moment I hit send, I felt strong hands on my shoulders. I knew it was Wesley before hearing his voice. He gave me a slight kiss on the neck, taking the seat beside me. He casually reached for his drink.

“I think we have a dilemma.” He pressed the glass to his lips, taking a slow sip. “It seems my presence is needed here more than I thought.”

I looked around the club and nodded in agreement. It was filling up more and more by the second. When I looked downstairs, I noticed the bouncer turning people away.

“I would consider that a good thing, Wes.”

He gave me a tight smile. “I would like to spend more time with you, Mia.” He motioned toward a door in the corner. “Do you mind accompanying me to my office?”

I tensed at first. The thought of going into a room I hadn’t noticed before made me uneasy. Then I remembered I had offered to leave with him a few minutes before. The thought made me reconsider.

“Sure, I think getting away from all the commotion would be nice.” I stood from the couch. “I just hope you plan on letting me leave.”

He walked in front of me, pressing a code into the keypad on the wall. “Of course, beautiful.” He opened the door, gesturing for me to walk inside. “The question is, will you want to?”

I started to respond with a joke, but when I walked into his office, I was quickly at a loss for words. It was much more than I had expected. It had several flat screens mounted on the ceiling, displaying every angle of the club. He had a large, modern glass desk with a white leather chair behind it, several monitors sitting on top of the desk. There were also two similar looking chairs situated in the front of it. I wasn’t the least bit surprised when I noticed the large space had a mini bar, accompanied by two white leather couches. I looked around a second time, realizing I could see right through the walls. I could see right through his entire office. It was like we were enclosed inside of a large glass box. I gasped when I had a clear view of everything in sight. I couldn’t imagine how he got anything done. It felt like everyone in the club was watching us. I realized the office wasn’t secluded at all. If people could see inside, this was quickly turning into a terrible idea.

“Don’t worry, Mia. I promise you, they can’t see us. Why don’t you have a seat on the couch? I have a few issues I need to deal with,” he said with a hint of laughter, as if he could read my mind.

I did as I was told, not quite believing it was one-way glass. The minute he sat down at his desk, the screens began to change. He zoomed in on a few different places, stopping when he had a perfect view of the entrance of the club. The bouncer was arguing with a relatively large man. Wesley quickly picked up the phone. When he spoke, his voice was laced with anger.

“The reason I pay you is to handle these types of issues, so why do I have some delinquent holding up my line?”

I couldn’t hear the other end of the conversation, but it wasn’t long before the screens showed the man walking away from the club. He zoomed in on a few more angles, but they didn’t cause him to call anyone. He stayed focused on the screens a few more minutes before walking toward the couch.

“So, you said your friend left you alone?” he said while fixing a drink at the bar.

I nodded. “Yes, it seems she did. I’m known as the shyest of our group. I’m sure she ventured off to find our friends. The plan was to meet them here tonight.”

He laughed. “I wouldn’t consider offering to drive away with a complete stranger as being shy, sweetheart.” He casually took a seat. “I would consider it quite the opposite. Maybe adventurous is a better term.”

His comment made me laugh. “Well, I guess I should reevaluate their opinions since they don’t know the real me.”

He turned toward me. “I think you should just embrace who you are—an adventurous, beautiful, sexy woman who knows what she wants, regardless if it’s acceptable.”

The conversation started to make me feel slightly uncomfortable. It was hitting close to home. This man was telling me things I knew were true. The fact that I couldn’t embrace it made me feel weak. It was sounding like a session I would have with my psychiatrist. Wesley didn’t even know me, yet he was reading me like a book.

“I wish it were that simple.” I took a deep breath, and my eyes innocently traveled to my ring. “Maybe this is a bad idea.”

He scooted closer. “Mia, I didn’t intend to scare you away. I just wanted you to know what I thought of you.” He turned my head to face him. “If I’ve made you feel uncomfortable in any way, that wasn’t my intention.”

He slowly pulled me against him. His lips were so close to mine, I could smell the liquor on his breath. I wanted to turn away, but I couldn’t. His smell was intoxicating.

“How about focusing on what we both want right now, beautiful. Let’s not think any further than that. You don’t have to be shy with me. I want the real you. The one you keep buried for reasons that I don’t yet understand.”

I needed this man more than I could ever imagine. It was like a magic force was pulling me under his spell. He didn’t act until I closed the distance between us. I surrendered without a second thought. I wanted everything he promised—fun, sensual, rough, unattached sex. It might’ve scared some women, but the truth was it made me want him even more. He was the perfect candidate for my needs.

The next part happened so quickly, I could barely keep up. The intense gray eyes that were focused on my next words changed to something else. His body language, once calm and collected, became predatory. His eyes quickly traveled from my face to the bare skin revealed by my short dress that had risen when I settled on the couch. I reached down to adjust it, but he beat me to it. Instead of pulling it down, his large fingers slowly inched it up my thighs. When I tried to push his hand away, he slowly pushed me down against the couch. My head rested against the armrest as his face formed a wicked grin.

“Tell me what you want, Mia?”

I had a list of things I could’ve asked him to do to me, but when I opened my mouth to explain them, nothing came out. The only thing that left my lips was a low moan when his mouth latched onto the sensitive skin on the inside of my thighs.

“I’m listening.” He said this teasingly in between soft nibbles and bites that steered him closer to my already soaked panties.

I nearly screamed with pleasure when he finally made it to my sensitive nub. He pulled my lace panties to the side, grazing his teeth on my clit. He pulled me closer to his face, inserting his tongue deep inside me. His tongue was thick. The width of it was stretching and opening me up just enough. I could hear the suctioning sounds as he caught his rhythm, carefully teasing my clit as his tongue continued to explore. I felt my orgasm getting closer each time he flicked his tongue. He made sure to touch every part of my pussy before pulling my panties down my thighs aggressively with his teeth. I started to remove his belt, but he quickly pushed my hands away.

“Turn over for me, shy girl.”

I turned over and gripped the armrest of the couch in anticipation while glancing over my shoulder. It was a sight I would never forget. Wesley removed his leather belt, letting his pants fall to his knees, after grabbing a condom out his pocket. He carefully ripped the packet with his teeth. The second his pants hit the floor, he grabbed his considerable length.

“Are you ready for me, beautiful?”

His tongue plunged one last time deep into my pussy before he replaced it with his cock. He pushed inside me inch by inch, the width of him stretching me so far, it was almost painful. The intense pressure lasted a short
while until I finally adjusted to him. He pulled me up, twisting me so my mouth was against his, kissing me softly as he gradually increased his pace. I tried to push against him each thrust, soon realizing the intensity was too much. He was too much. I loosened my grip on the couch, turning back to face the opposite direction. He pulled me closer to his chest until my back was plastered against his chest. The beating of his heart increased. I eventually gave up, letting him have his way with me. His arm tightened around my midsection as he continued his delicious rhythm.

“Just enjoy it, Mia. That’s all I need you to do.”

The second the words left his lips, my orgasm started to surface. I tried to stop it, but the way he continuously thrust inside me made it impossible. The intensity of it when it finally surged through my body caused my vision to blur. The aftershocks still affected me when I heard him curse.

  “Fuck,” he growled.

He stalled for a split second before thrusting aggressively back inside me. He wanted it to last longer, but I could tell he was getting close.

“Mia, you’re so fucking…” He groaned in satisfaction when he came.

I fell against the armrest of the couch in exhaustion as he slowly loosened his grip. It wasn’t long before I felt his large chest settle against my back. He moved my disheveled hair to the side, planting soft kisses on my neck all the way down my shoulders.

“I think I could go for a second round,” he whispered into my ear. “What do you think?”

I was finally starting to come back to reality when I noticed something on one of the flat screens overhead. I had to squint my eyes a few times before I realized what I was seeing. At the entrance of the club, the bouncer removed the rope that was blocking hundreds of people from coming inside. I gasped in horror as my husband walked into the club. It wasn’t long before Wesley’s phone started to ring. He didn’t have it on speaker, but the high-volume level made the other person’s words very clear.

“Alek Johnson just arrived. He said it couldn’t wait.”

  Chapter Three

  Wesley

THE SECOND I HUNG up the phone, I quickly realized two things—Mia’s body had become extremely tense, and any visit from Alek Johnson was not a good sign. It took me only a brief second to realize why her demeanor had changed. Then everything suddenly fell into place. I had really messed up this time. The name that had bothered me before was suddenly crystal fucking clear. I should have realized it the second I saw her. Even with her failing to mention her last name, I should have recognized her immediately. She was Alek Johnson’s wife, the beauty everyone once raved about in the media. The woman who had changed the well-known bachelor into the honorable man he was today. The whole story the media was feeding everyone was a bunch of bullshit. You could never change a man like Alek. He would always be a man filled with greed, who would take advantage of anyone who stepped in his way. It was just the type of person he was. I knew the truth, and I was sure his wife was aware of it, too.

  “Why did you come here?”

The words were said with more force then I intended. I cautiously looked at the slender woman before me.

“Is this some type of game?”

She looked at me in shock, struggling to put herself back together. It was as if she had seen a ghost. She struggled to put her dress back in place, but the shaking of her hands made it impossible. I wanted to reach out and help her, but the possibility of the whole situation being plotted against me clouded my mind. I hadn’t spoken with Alek in over a year. What was he doing at my club? If there was one person I could live without ever seeing again, it was him. It was like all of my demons were coming out of the closet. I could practically feel my world collapsing.

“I came here because I’m out with my friends. Why would this be a game?”

I looked at her once again. The features on her face were strained, confused. I could see she was practically on the verge of tears. Maybe she wasn’t pretending.

“I have a private bathroom upstairs. You can go freshen up if you want to.”

She seemed somewhat relieved, but then her face started to show concern. “It’s just… The man you were talking about on the phone is my…” She considered her next words. “He’s my husband, and if he finds out I’m here with you…”

She said the sentence so low, I missed the last part. However, it didn’t take a genius to figure out where she was going with it. She was scared to death of the man who claimed to be her husband. The same man who ruined part of my life. How could I blame her? He was merciless.

“I’ll let you know when he’s gone. Don’t come back down until I come and get you.”

She seemed shocked by the sincerity in my voice. I honestly couldn’t believe it myself. This woman practically brought Satan to my doorstep, and I was offering her a way out. I should have been more concerned about what type of twisted game she was playing. Surprisingly, it was the furthest thing from my mind. I felt the need to protect her, shield her from the rage her husband would have toward her if he found out about us.

She quickly gathered her things as I pointed her in the direction of the elevator. I had made sure to make it as discreet as possible, on the opposite side of the room. It blended in perfectly with the dark tint of the glass. I purchased the building because of all the possibilities. Convenience was essential to me. I never had to leave the club to get some alone time. I never completely trusted anyone else to handle business when I was at home. The idea of giving someone else control didn’t sit well with me. It made me uneasy. All I had to do was walk into my office and take an elevator ride into my apartment. If something happened, I was only seconds away. I made sure of it.

I took a good look at Mia before the elevator doors closed. She was beautiful. Her long, dark hair and bright, almond-shaped green eyes made my cock grow hard again. I knew my feelings weren’t logical with the realization of who her husband was, but I still felt the need to possess her. The idea of Alek Johnson touching her made me livid. I knew he was her husband, but I didn’t care. I knew what he was capable of. The real him, not the role he portrayed to everyone else.

The moment I planted myself inside of her, she had become mine. The way her eyes pleaded with me just made the situation more apparent. It was a feeling I couldn’t explain. It hit me out of nowhere, and I was still trying to grasp it. The only thing that made sense was my mother’s warning before she passed away. She had been knocking on death’s door, but still had the strength to give me advice. She warned me there would come a time when I would fall. She explained every man had a weakness, and a majority of the time it was from the power of a woman. My mother’s words had been faint, but extremely clear.

“You can’t be a bachelor forever, Wes. She’s going to walk into your life and tear it apart. It may seem like it isn’t a good thing, but it will be the best thing that’s ever happened to you. Every man needs that, my sweet boy. Even the toughest man needs a woman to complete him.”

My mother’s warning had made me uncomfortable, nervous. I wasn’t weak, and I damn sure wasn’t a pussy. No woman was going to make me fall. I was Wesley fucking Black. I missed my mother with all my heart, but she was wrong. I didn’t have time for a relationship or commitment. I had things I needed to prove. Things that didn’t leave enough time for what my mother had thought I needed.

The sound of my cell ringing brought me back to reality. The elevator had plenty of time to make it up to my loft by the time I picked up the call. The conversation only consisted of two words.

  “Yes. Okay.”

I could tell from Jarrett’s tone of voice he was wary of the situation. He had already sensed that something wasn’t right since Alek came to see me himself. I was sure if it were possible, he would have escorted him to my door. However, Jarrett was my right-hand man. I needed him to be alert and focused on who was coming in and out of the club. I had protection, if necessary. The revolver in the bottom drawer of my desk gave me all the protection I needed. I wasn’
t one to take chances.

I casually walked to my office door and opened it. Alek waited at the door with a troubled look on his face. I was surprised that he didn’t have any of his security team with him. He wasn’t necessarily anyone’s favorite person, only feared. I was sure threats were thrown at him daily, but I hadn’t heard of anyone brave enough to take him out. The extensive security team he kept posed quite a threat to anyone who tried. If he knew the thoughts that ran through my head, he would’ve brought them. His reason for being here had to be something he was ashamed of, something that could ruin him.

I welcomed him inside and led him to the white leather couch that Mia and I had recently occupied. Knowing I had that power over him made me smile. I guess we all had our dark side. Mine just wasn’t as dark as his.

“So, what brings you around, Alek?”

I took a seat on the opposite side, after pouring two glasses of scotch. I handed one to him before taking my seat.

“I’ve heard rumors you’re back in the business,” he said with an arrogant smirk.

I knew my father hadn’t run to tell him about our arrangement. He had one of his men posing inside my club. I would have to make sure to clean house after he left.

Alek warned me when I wanted to get out years ago that it would never work. He stated my name would follow me everywhere I went. He had been right. It was like a curse. Instead of continuing to be ashamed of it, I had used it to start my establishments. I quickly learned to accept who I was had advantages. People were more receptive when it came to my ideas, and the fact my family was wealthy made them excited to invest in my business ventures. The club I had recently opened already had a waiting list and the revenue was exceeding how much we had put into it. I had planned to build myself up until I became strong enough to leave the business altogether. When I could finally stand on my own, I would walk away.
