Cassie gasped, and her free hand flew to her mouth. “You bought the mansion?”
“You said you loved it, right? I thought we could give it the love story it deserves. Together, after we marry.”
Tears streamed down Cassie’s cheeks. Did he really? “How... how did...”
“I talked with Wayne. After everything that happened, he had no problem parting with it.”
“But it’s so run down. How will we ever...?”
Daniel smiled and took her other hand, so he held both in his own. “I’ve already spoken with a couple of different construction crews who specialize in restoring historic buildings.”
Cassie blinked a few times. “But the cost...”
He snickered. “I’m DJ Sawyer, remember? You don’t have to worry about the cost. All you need to do pick out your preferences and tell the crew. They’ll make it look however you want.”
“Oh, Daniel!” Cassie sniffed.
“I love you, Cassie Bridgestone. And I can’t wait to begin our life together.”“I love you, too.” She smiled at him. “And I can’t wait, either.”
