Aiden saw that Cardsten was losing ground. Slowly he backed up the troops, backing them in the direction of the armies of Agedon, until the sounds of that battle were heard. Then he pressed forward again. Jashion and his men were just visible and to his left. Their depletion was much greater than his and Janks, and more wolves were on the attack against them. Aiden began to make his way towards Jashion.

Within moments, Jashion’s men were giving way, though Jashion was fighting strong. Aiden’s arrows sailed and he provided a little relief. But, it wasn’t enough. An enormous pack made their way to the front and overtook many of Jashion’s men, running past them and directly for the leader.

Aiden took down three wolves and then started to sprint. Those of Jashion’s men who remained fled from the battle. The wolves quickly overtook Jashion and he was down. A wolf took his leg in his mouth and began to drag him away. Jashion, still conscious, flailed at the beasts. Aiden was on them in no time. He carved them up as the master hunter that he was. When the last wolf was deserted or dead, he beheld his friend. Jashion wasn’t conscious anymore, but he was breathing. The wounds weren’t mortal, but he’d have to act quickly to keep him from losing too much blood.

With Aiden gone, Janks troops were in disarray, some fleeing, some fighting, and some retreating towards Agedon’s army. With Cardsten nearly overcome, the last wave of wolves hurled themselves towards Agedon.
