Lee: A young, male Guard. Lean like hunting Guards. Younger brother to Rufus and twin to Prin.
Lossoto: A young, male scientist who worked on Level Five in Professor Conguise’s laboratory.
Louis: A young, male Guard who works on Level five with his younger brother Charlie.
Manny: An Almighty who owns a grocery store.
Matilda: House Servant. Works for Conguise. Fersia’s mother.
McBrid, Matt: A scientist who works for Professor Conguise on Level Five. Unknown to the others, he’s a mix between a Guard and an Almighty.
Mephi: Slur to describe mix-breeds.
Mutter: A large, Guard who used to be used for fighting
Parson: An Almighty who works for Professor Conguise.
Pepper: A female Guard. Was once in a relationship with Rufus. Her mate is Jimbo and she belongs to Dr. Kalper.
Phelecks: An adult, male House Servant. Libby’s father. Deceased.
Phasmatodea: Common name is Brush-Men. Mutations created on Level Five. They vary in size from several inches to around four feet tall. They are thin, stick-like creatures with long claws and sharp teeth. Their eyes are brilliant blue or green and the larger ones sprout leaves from their bodies to help them blend in with the bushes and grasses where they hide.
Plated-Pressers: Common name for Testusteon. Mutations created on Level Five that are human-crustacean like creatures with large claws and an outer armor.
Prin: A young, female Guard. Very attractive. Younger sister to Rufus and Lee (her twin)
Producers: Large boned and strong. They stand between six and eight feet tall. They usually have dark hair and brown eyes. They work in the fields and produce all the food for the other classes.
Professor Conguise: A male Almighty. He’s tall and thin with gray hair. Runs the lab.
Rattus Norvegicus: New project on Level Five to mutate rats into human-like form.
Ray: A male House Servant in his prime. He’s a stray and is in command of a group of stray Servants. (Lake of Sins: Hangman’s Army)
Reeky: A male Guard who works on Level Five.
River-Men: Creature created on Level Five. Fish-like creatures. Can live in or out of water but prefer to be in the water. They can breathe both above and below water. They have scales for skin, sharp teeth. Hunt from below the water and drag their prey under to drown it. (Chimera Chronicles: Rise of the River Man, Lake of Sins: Escape)
Rocky: A young, male Brush-Man
Rosie: A House Servant who works with Fersia.
Robert: Uncle Robert or Uncle Rob is an Almighty. The brother to McBrid’s mother. Uncle Robert’s job had been to study the ancient texts written before and during the Great Death.
Rufus: A young, male Guard. Large like a protection Guard. Older brother to Lee and Prin.
Sarah Truent: A female Almighty. Mother to Hugh Truent. Takes in strays and fights for the rights of the lower classes.
Scar: A female Guard. Belongs to Professor Conguise.
Scottsmoor: A male Almighty. Works on Level Five.
Serkle: An Almighty. Former master of the three Guard siblings
Slug-Mug: Common name for Gastropodas. Mutations created on Level Five that are large snail-like creatures that secrete a paralyzing goo. (Rise of the River-Man: Chimera Chronicles Volume One, Lake of Sins series)
Speckles: A young, male Brush-Man.
Stacia: The House Servant assigned to Viola Conguise.
Stink: A male Guard who works on Level Five in Professor Conguise’s lab.
Sweepers: A team of Almightys who capture stray Guards and Servants.
Sweet: A young, female House Servant
Supreme Almighty: The main ruler of this society along with an appointed Council. Currently, this position is held by Jason Dophilez.
Terrence McBrid: McBrid’s adopted father and Uncle Robert’s partner.
Testusteon: Common name is Plated-Pressers. Mutations created on Level Five that are human-crustacean like creatures with large claws and an outer armor. (Lake of Sins: Secrets In Blood)
Tiny: A Guard on Level Five
Topper: A male Guard who works on Level Five in Professor Conguise’s lab.
Vickers: An Almighty who’s a lawyer and organizes illegal street fights
Viola: Professor Conguise’s daughter.
Witch’s Warren: a dangerous maze of alleyways between the Servant and Guard parts of the city.

L. S. O’Dea grew up the youngest of seven in a family that uses teasing and tricks as an indication of love (or at least that’s what she tells herself). Being five years younger than her closest sibling often made her the unwilling entertainment for her brothers and sisters.
Before she started kindergarten her brothers taught her how to spell her first and middle name—Linda Sue. She was so proud she ran into the kitchen to tell her mother. She stood tall and recited the letters of her name: L-E-M-O-N H-E-A-D.
She’s pretty sure she has her siblings to thank for the demons that lurk in her mind, whispering dark and demented stories.
