"Dude. What is up with your friend?" I said to Finn.

"Don't mind him", Finn whispered in my ear. "He had some bad news recently and I think he's overcompensating."

  "What bad news?"

"It's to do with the Yankees, but we'll talk later."

  "Okay. Fine."

"I'm so glad you're here", he smiled at me as he looked around. "I have wanted to be in nature with you for so long. Do you absolutely hate it?" He said softly.

"No." I smiled at him and looked around. "I know you love being in the mountains, and honestly I love hearing the sound of the birds in their natural habitat. I love hearing the stream in the distance. I love being among the trees and in nature. It's so very different to the city. It's beautiful." I said softly. "And if you love it, I will learn to love as well, because it doesn't matter where I am as long as I'm with you."

  "Or really", he said.

"Really", I nodded. "You matter to me more than the place. Being with you feels like home. I know that feels weird to say, but it's true."

"You're absolutely amazing, you know that Marcia? You are just perfect for me."

  "I don't know about that. I",

"You are", he says. He kissed me on the lips. "You are one in a million."

"No, I think you are one in a million."

"Maybe we're both one in a million", he said softly. "And maybe one day we can move to the mountains. But",

  "But what", I said.

"Not until you figure out your documentary career and what you want to do with that." His eyes shone, "because I want you to be happy. I want you to explore your dreams and your goals, and I'll be there supporting you every step of the way."

  "You're serious", I said.

"I've never been more serious in my life. I love you Marcia. I know I said that. I thought I was falling in love with you but I've already fallen. I've already fallen, hook, line and sinker and there's nothing more than I want in the world than to be with you."

"I love you, Finn Winchester. I love you more than words couldn't say." I grabbed him and I kissed him hard and he wrapped his arms around me and swung me around. It was only then that I noticed that both Susie and Brody were clapping and cheering for us.

"Oops, sorry about that", I said grinning.

"No worries", Susie said. "I'm happy for you. I'm really and truly happy for you."

"Thank you." I smiled at her softly and squeezed Finn's hand. I was the happiest I'd ever been in my life and as I stood there, staring at Susie and staring at Brody, who was staring at Susie. I wondered if perhaps, just maybe, Susie could find the same love that I had as well.

The next book in the series is P.S. Not If You Were The Last Man on Earth, featuring Susie and Brody.

  To my tent mate,

I am only going to say this once. I am not interested in you. I will not be sharing a sleeping bag with you. I will not be asking you to keep me warm with your 'hot body'. Who calls their own body

hot by the way? I will not be doing a belly dance for you in the middle of the night and I definitely won’t be making you hot chocolate. You’ll be lucky if I even alert you to a bear, so don’t push your luck. I’m going to be 100% honest with you. I’m not interested and have no desire to see you again after this trip.

  Yours Unsincerely,

  Susie

P.S. Not if you were the last man on earth

They say that no good deed goes unpunished and they are surely right.

I agreed to go on a camping trip with my best friend and her new boyfriend, Finn, but I never agreed to share a tent with Finn's best friend, Brody.

Brody is a pompous full of himself jock. He thinks he rules the world because he's some hot shot baseball player, but the jokes on him because I don't even watch sports. I just need to get past this weekend without killing him and then I never have to deal with his arrogant ass again.

  Acknowledgments

2022 started off with a bang. Not a year after burying, my great aunt passed away. I couldn’t believe I had to plan a second funeral in less than a year. I knew that I wanted to write something fun and light to put me in the right mood finally, and for fun, I named some of the characters after my mum, great aunt and myself.

Marcia is named after my mum, Faye Marcia.

Susie is named after me, Jaimie Suzi.

Lilian is named after my great aunt, Lilian Enid.

And Shantal is just a random name, haha. :)

I thought it would be a fun way to include the three of us in a fun series, without being to on the face. I really hope you enjoy the series.

As always thanks to my beta readers for this book: Andrea Robinson, Penny Leidecker , Kim McDonnell, and Kelly Gunn. I am always appreciative of all your help!

To the members of my street team, you put a smile on my face every day! Thank you!

Here’s to 2022 being everything we hope for and more!

  Jaimie

  XOXO
