  “Wait, ain’t you the bitch that was just leaving the abortion clinic with the next nigga. But wanna come in here tripping, bitch get the fuck outta here,” Kensli yelled out.

  What the fuck was this shit? Now this bitch coming out her mouth about my girl being at the clinic with the next nigga. This the second time somebody done said some shit about my girl, but this wasn’t the time or the place to address this shit in front of the next bitch, and I was trying to chill ‘cause I really wanted to nut the fuck up

  “What the fuck is she talking about?” I asked her.

  “I don’t know what she’s talking about. Nigga just let me go,” she snatched away from me and said. She had done a fucking one-eighty, she calmed the fuck down and damn near sprinted out of the building, but I was right behind her. I would never take the word of another motherfucker over my girl, but the way my girl piped all the way down when shorty mentioned her at the clinic had her looking suspect. She was walking to her car, but I snatched her up before she got to it.

  “What the fuck is she talking about?” I asked her. A nigga was close to catching a case. Kensli might as well consider herself dead.

  “I don’t fucking know,” she yelled.

  “I been hearing a lot of foul shit about yo’ stupid ass lately. Just take yo’ ass home, be there when I get there,” I told her.

  “What you been hearing about me? I haven’t done shit to you?” she started.

  “Man, I said take yo’ ass home,” I yelled at her hard-headed ass.

  “Wait, so let me get this straight. You taking the word of other motherfuckers over my word?” she asked me. I tried to woosah, but that shit wasn’t working. I told her to go home, and we’d talk about it, so why the fuck she still talking? Then had her nerve to sound like she was pissed off, which really had a nigga dumbfounded.

  “Okay, cool. There’s nothing to talk about when I get home.” She walked off.

  I shook my head and headed to my whip and peeled out the lot when I noticed I was being followed, by a black suburban. I sped up and jumped on the highway. I pushed the pedal to the damn floor and started gunning it, bobbing lane to lane and jumping off the next exit ramp. This slow ass fucking van was holding a nigga up, and I saw that truck coming off the ramp fast as fuck. I went around that damn van and kept busting corners and shit. I don’t know who the fuck was driving this truck, but they obviously knew what the fuck they were doing. I called Q on speaker.

  “Yoo,” he started.

  “Where you at?” I asked.

  “I’m over here on the north side, why?” he said.

  “I need you to meet me, I’m coming up Broadway, bring a few niggas with you. Make that shit happen ASAP,” I told him, letting him know to bring a few hittas.

  “Say less, you good? Aye, Amon, Lex let’s roll.” I heard him yell.

  “Always,” I told him and hung up the phone, I took my strap out and rolled down my window as one of them trucks pulled on the side of me. I just started firing, and they slowed up. Before I could hit the brakes, I saw a semi in front of me, which made me swerve on the curb hitting a pole. I think I had blood in my eyes, but I heard them niggas coming. I opened my door, grabbing my strap and before I could fire, a nigga had blacked out. I had done a lot of foul, reckless ass shit since a youngin, I guess the shit finally caught up to me. I just hoped my momma and girl was straight.

  I woke up and wiped my eyes. Was this what hell looked like? The ceiling was all black, where the fuck was I at. I rolled on my side, and it was a bunch of niggas with AK’s, dressed in black, mugging me.

  “The fuck is y’all supposed to be, the black Klansmen or some shit. If y’all gone kill a nigga then go ahead and do that shit,” I told them. They all just stood staring at me, one nigga was shaking his head. I sat up in the chair. Finally, I stood up, and them niggas just kept staring at me. But it was one nigga in specific, he had a smirk on his face. I stood in front of him, and he was almost my height.

  “Who the fuck sent y’all?” I asked.

  “We, not the bad guys nigga, so sit yo’ ass the fuck down, before we make you,” he said. I frowned.

  “Before who make me?” I asked.

  “Which one of your bitch ass niggas gone make me, ‘cause I can smell pussy from a mile away and this room is stanking, with you being the most foul one,” I spat. Another nigga walked in the room in all black with his Timbs on. He was slightly taller than a nigga but was built like me. I looked at him like he was crazy.

  “Aye y’all niggas can roll. You come with me,” he spoke, and these niggas got ghost quick.

  “Who the fuck is you?” I asked. He smirked.

  “In due time you’ll find out youngin, follow me,” he said.

  “I’m not following yo’ ass nowhere nigga. Matter of fact.” I walked toward the door, and I heard footsteps behind me, this nigga tried to grab me by my shirt.

  “Don’t grab me, nigga, yo’ best bet is letting me walk out this bitch, and I won’t fuck yo’ shit up,” I barked.

  “Just follow me, and shit will be easier than the route you trying to take,” he stated firmly.

  “I hear you talking, but I’m up,” I spoke when another nigga that resembled him walked in, he was smoking a blunt, after letting smoke out he spoke.

  “Nigga, just follow us for you get yoself fucked up.” He laughed.

  “I hear you talking,” I said, pulling up my sweats. The nigga that snatched me by shirt shook his head.

  “Kato, you testing my patience making me repeat myself,” the calm one gritted. I nodded and walked back to them.

  “I knew you weren’t as stupid as they said.” The nigga with wild hair smirked. I walked behind the calm motherfucker, and the one behind me kept talking shit as we walked down the long ass hallway.

  “I don’t know why they call you Khaos, you fainting and shit,” he joked.

  “Shut the fuck up bruh,” dude said.

  “Nah, ‘cause I’ve heard about yo’ young, reckless ass. But I just can’t see it. You told my mans and them you could smell pussy a mile away, but you ain’t on that shit with us. You wanna know why ‘cause you know we ain’t pussy,” he spat, and I could hear the challenge in this nigga voice. I wanted to make this nigga eat his words, I cocked back and socked this nigga in his jaw, and we got the brawling in the hallway. This bitch ass nigga had me fucked up, we were going blow for blow in this little ass hallway. I liked this shit, I liked a challenge, haven’t had one yet. I could see this nigga starting to get tired, so I hit him hard with a blow to the side, and just like the pussy he was, he folded but recovered so quickly. Like a switch went off, this nigga started brawling. He went to slam me, but I started giving that nigga body shots, he was eating them, bitches. He got me on the ground, but before he could get me, I chopped that nigga in the throat, rolled over and stood right the fuck back up.

  “Yeah, pussy catch your breath.” I smirked as he coughed and shook that shit off. Dude was smirking.

  “Y’all finished?” he asked.

  “Nah,” he said.

  “Okay, you know you gone hear about it,” he warned.

  “Come on Khaos, I wanna show you something,” he spat. I chuckled, and I went to sock this nigga again, but he ducked and scooped a nigga up, slamming me on the floor.

  “What the fuck is y’all doing and what’s taking so long.” I heard another voice say.

  “We on our way in there now,” the nigga who just slammed me said, offering a hand to help me up. I smacked that shit away and got up on my own.

  “If y’all done with the amateur show.” Dude chuckled.

  “What the fuck y’all want with me,” I spat. Dude just started walking toward the double doors, and so did the other nigga. I followed them in the room, not knowing what to expect. I knew they weren’t out to kill me ‘cause they would’ve been did that shit unless they were taking me to my execution room. But curiosity was winning this battle as I made my way through the double doors. A nigga was stuck in
place looking at these niggas in this room.

  “Finally, I get to see my reckless masterpiece in person,” he said in a deep voice. I was stuck on stupid, looking at this nigga, who looked damn near identical to me, but an older version. My nostrils instantly flared up, ‘cause who the fuck was you and why now? I was a grown ass man, twenty-one to be exact and you wanna walk into my life now, imposing at the worst time.

  “Nigga who the fuck is you?” I spat.

  “We gone let that slide, ‘cause we don’t tolerate disrespect in this circle, that’s yo’ first and,” the old nigga next to him started, but I looked at him like he was stupid.

  “My first and last what? I just whooped this nigga ass, you trying to be next old head?” I asked.

  “Kato, have a seat, and I’m not asking you,” my look-alike spoke.

  “If you are who I think you are, it’s over bruh. I been good without you all this time, I’ll continue to be straight bruh. Fuck all y’all weirdos, I’m out this bitch.” I turned around to walk out, and to my surprise, I made it to the front door and outside. I ain’t even know where the fuck I was at, nor where my phone was, but I was gone find my way out this bitch. I looked around, and when I turned around, I was choked and slammed to the ground again. Before I could get up, a boot stepping on my neck stopped me, then I heard a gun cock.

  “You ready to listen now?” he asked.

  I sat here for the past thirty minutes listening to my father tell me about how he didn’t know shit about me up until when the letters started. He couldn’t show his face at the time because he knew that his ex-bitch was watching his every move and waiting on the perfect moment to try and get to me. She knew that hurting me would hurt my pops I guess, shit didn’t really make sense to me.

  “Lawrynn is an evil, spiteful, ass bitch. She a hoe and I regret the day I ever met her whore ass. I’m so sorry for every birthday, every event, the talks I missed with you Kato, and I mean that shit from the bottom of my cold ass heart. But I’m here to tell you that you not alone in the field no more. I see you take care of your mother, but I also see that you’re a lot like I used to be. I’m here for you any way you see fit, if you don’t wanna build a relationship with me then that’s up to you, I’m here when you’re ready. But you are going to be a part of the family business, it’s for your own good,” he said.

  I sat there my blood fucking boiling. I was gone off this stupid bitch Lawrynn, Law whatever the fuck her name is. Me and my girl were good until she came along stirring some shit up. It’s a lot of questions I got for a lot of motherfuckers that I know don’t have the answers. I kept trying to count to ten, but I couldn’t make it past two.

  “I see you’re upset, but.” My uncle Kason put his hand on my shoulder. Before I could stop myself, I had slapped his fucking hand off my shoulder and dude I just brawled within the hallway quickly stood and so did I.

  “Don’t fucking touch me,” I spat

  “Don’t slap my pops hand away like that lil nigga,” he barked.

  “What the fuck you trying to do nigga,” I spat, walking toward him.

  “Y’all got y’all animosity aimed at the wrong people right now. Now, Kato, I know you don’t know us, we didn’t know shit about you either until someone told me about you expanding into my territory down south. I dug for more info and brought it to my pops, and now we’re here. I’m Kaiszer, yo’ cousin and that’s yo’ cousin Kaizon. We take this family shit serious, I know you been out here with yo’ boys running shit on yo’ own. But now you got an opportunity to make more money and do less work and be a part of a real family. Not only do we gotta worry about Law, but she working with some niggas to help take the Karter family out. You’re a part of the takedown now whether you wanna admit it or not,” Kaiszer started.

  “I’m good on y’all with this fake ass family mob shit. I had to watch so much unnecessary shit as a kid while you rode off into the sunset with a bitch that wants to ruin all of our lives and for what? I thought you were fucking dead bruh. This lady hates my momma, paid her money to have me aborted, but you loved her right. You prolly knew all along,” I spat

  “Kato,” my pops started.

  “NO! Fuck all y’all niggas, I’m good. I’ll handle this BITCH and anybody she working with on my fucking own like I been doing,” I spat

  After I said that Kaiszer stood walking toward me, but I was ready for a motherfucker to try some shit. I swore I would tear this bitch up, I would paint these walls red. My father held his hand up stopping Kaiszer in his tracks, Kaiszer smirked and nodded.

  “You disrespectful as fuck, you lucky.” Kaiszer clenched his jaw.

  “I ain’t lucky, whenever you ready let me fucking know. Where the fuck is my phone at?” I asked.

  “Hand him his phone,” my father stated. My uncle handed it to me and handed me a set of keys.

  “We’ll be in touch, you’ll need us sooner than you think.” He smiled.

  “Fuck y’all.” I snatched the shit out of his hands and stormed out the room, making sure to bump into Kaizon hard. He just chuckled as I headed outside. I was wondering what the fuck these keys were too. The key had a Porsche symbol. Hitting the lock button, I looked up to a pearly black ass Porsche Macan light up and smirked. Shit, this bitch was icy as fuck. I cranked the engine up and took off, hopping on the highway heading straight to my mother’s crib. She had some fucking questions to answer.

  ~~~
  I sat in my mother’s crib, I had smoked a blunt to calm me down. My fucking mind was going crazy as I thought of all the niggas that ran through my crib as a youngin. I remember asking my mother about my pops several times till one day she finally snapped on me. All I remember her yelling is that he was dead to us, he was gone and never coming back. Well, Britney, he was fucking back and had me fucked up. She was being carried through the door by some nigga, not even noticing her son on the couch, but it wouldn’t be the first time. They were kissing, and I stopped them midway on the steps.
  “Before you head upstairs.” I stopped them, and dude damn near dropped my momma.
  “WHAT THE FUCK!” they both yelled. I stood up hitting the lights, and this nigga looked like he saw a ghost.
  “Khaos man. I ain’t even know,” he started. I put my hands in my pockets to keep from smacking fire out this hoe ass nigga. He booked it right back out the door so damn fast, my mother almost missed him. He slammed the door, and I was left there staring at my mother.
  “I need to talk to you,” I told her.
  “Kato, what the hell you doing? Just popping up in my house like that,” she spat. I looked her up and down shaking my head. My mother had on some short leather skirt and a spaghetti top with a leather jacket.
  “Why you lie to me about my father?” I asked her. She looked off to the side, twisting her face up completely.
  “Kato, what the hell are you talking about?” she asked.
  “Why did you lie to me ma?” I asked her. She looked at me in the eye, and her eyes got huge, and she started shaking her head.
  “No, no. He he, no.” She walked to the kitchen.
  “He what ma, let me know what the hell is going on? You lied to about this man for what reason?” I asked her.
  “I HAD NO CHOICE KATO!” She turned around and screamed at me. I looked at her shocked, to my surprise she had tears streaming down her face, I frowned at her.
  “You had no choice but to lie to me for all these years. Not only did you lie to me, but you lied to that man too, never giving him the opportunity,” I started.
  “You talked to him?” Her eyes got big.
  “Yeah, I met the man you said was dead,” I spat
  “That fucking bitch tried to kill me. She broke in my home when I was four months pregnant with you. She held a gun to my head and machete to my stomach. She told me that if she ever heard anything about me or my son she would come back and finish the job. She gave me ten thousand dollars and a one-way bus ticket. Scared for my life, I fled and changed my phone numb
er. Your father is a dangerous man, but Law is a psychotic bitch. I was eighteen, and I didn’t know any better. I’m so sorry Kato for lying to you, but it was for your own good.” She cried and hugged me tightly. I just held my mother tightly ‘cause the way she was talking like she was scared. I was splitting this bitch Lawrynn head, she had me fucked up from the womb.
  “I haven’t been the best mother in the world to you Kato, but I swear I’ve tried. I know you’ve seen a lot, I know you’ve heard a lot about me, and I’m sorry I put you through that.” She hugged me. I held my mother tightly in my arms. I had a lot of shit to take in, I had a lot of decisions to make, I just wanted to lay up under my girl, it had been a long ass twenty-four hours.
  After calling and making sure my mother had ‘round the clock security, I headed to Tejha’s crib. I parked in my usual spot, and I could feel something wasn’t right. I used my key to open the door, and I took my gun out. Looked like she was in a rush to get to wherever she was going, I noticed her suitcase was gone. Where the fuck could she have gone? I pulled my phone out and looked up her location. ‘Location unavailable.’ I clenched my jaw, dialing her number I called her phone, and it went straight to voicemail.
  ‘Hello, you’ve reached Montejha Monroe. I apologize for missing your call. But if you could leave a brief message, I’ll return your call as soon as possible,” her sweet voice said.
  “Tejha, I know you pissed with a nigga. But at least let me know you good wherever you are alright.” I hung up. She had two hours to call me back. My phone rang and I hurriedly answered it.
  “Yo,” I answered.
  “Nigga, we got a fucking problem,” Dreux spoke, and I knew something bad happened.
  “Where you at?” I asked.
  “The hospital, Q got hit,” he told me.
  “I’m on my way.” I hung up and walked out the door. I nodded to myself. Motherfuckers wanted to play crazy, that was cool, they ain’t call me Khaos for nothing.
