“Scrappy.” I begin but I can’t say anything else because Scrappy’s mouth is on mine in an urgent but passionate kiss. He pulls back and nods.

“I know, we need to get you back.” He brings me up against him and holds me tightly. “I’m just so fucking happy I got you out of there when I did. I can’t imagine what might have happened.”

“Come on.” I place a hand on his cheek. “Let’s go and see our son.”

The ride back to the clubhouse doesn’t feel as freeing and enjoyable as it did on the way here. This time my eyes are everywhere, looking at everyone and observing what they are doing. I don’t trust anybody and if they look at us for too long, I suspect them of being the men who have been behind all of this.

I’ve never been so relieved to see the clubhouse and as I step from the motorcycle, removing my helmet I breathe a huge sigh of relief as I know I’m back in safety.

“I’m going to find those bastards, Erica.” Scrappy declares, reaching out to me to put a hand on my cheek. “Nobody is going to get close enough to touch you with me standing in the way.

“Thank you.” My voice comes out small and like a whisper.

“You don’t need to thank me babe, it’s what I’m here for.” Scrappy steps closer and kisses me on the forehead and then on the lips. Just one sweet little kiss but it’s enough to feel how much I mean to him. He means a lot to me too, and I think I just made my mind up on what I want to do regarding the two of us.

  Chapter Eleven

  Scrappy

Seeing that shit happen to the house I wanted for Erica and Lewis, I was pissed. I wanted that house for them, so they could be safe and have somewhere to call theirs, but those fuckers destroyed it. I don’t want Erica and Lewis in that house again. I’ll get them another house to move out to because after knowing those men have been in there and ruined their things, I can’t let them back in there. I won’t feel as though they’re safe. She needs somewhere more secured like the rest of the old ladies. That’s what I see her as. My old lady. Whether she knows it yet or not, I want her back.

I walk Erica into the clubhouse to find Lewis and once I’ve set my eyes on my son, I go in search of Grim. He was out on a business run, but I know he’s back now. I saw his bike out in the yard. I go in search of the President, his office is the first place I look and when I knock on the door, he answers.

“Scrappy.” Grim nods, stepping to the side so I can come in. “Devlin gave me a quick run-down on how the house was.”

“They’re not going back there.” I tell him, but Grim doesn’t look surprised.

“I understand that, I’ll have it cleaned and sold on.” He nods simply. “We’ll get them something a bit more secure next time.”

“They’re not going anywhere until these men are found and dead.” I order. “I won’t let my woman or child be in danger for a moment later.”

“Woman?” Grim asks with a slight smirk.

I shrug it off. “She will be.”

“Well, our mothers will be happy.” Grim laughs. Yeah, don’t I know it? “Don’t worry Scrap, we’ll get the men responsible.”

  “Thanks man.”

Grim comes to stand close to me, placing a hand on my shoulder. “You don’t need to thank me Scrappy, we’re family, it’s what we do.”

“I can’t bear the thought of anything happening to them.” I shake my head, trying to get rid of the dreadful images there. “If they had still been in that house.”

“Hey.” Grim stops me. “Don’t do that to yourself! You were right in getting them out of there and thanks to you, Erica and Lewis are safe.” I nod in response to his prep talk. “This needs to end, they’ve obviously been watching Erica and that doesn’t sit right with me, so I know for sure you don’t like it.”

  “Damn right.”

“We need to hunt these fuckers down.” Grim smirks.

Devlin then enters the room, closing the door behind him. “The Redgrave’s have followed a track from the house but it went dead.”

“Fuck.” I growl, falling to sit on a nearby chair.

“Does Erica know who they might be?” Asks Devlin and I shake my head.

“She’s told me she doesn’t, but I’ll ask her again.” I sigh. “We need to find them.”

“Don’t give up.” Grim urges me. “I’ve reached out to my underground contacts and something will come up, I’ve even asked about the possible fake death of her father.” I look up at Grim curiously. “Erica might be onto something.”

I shake my head in disgust. “If that’s true, it’s fucking disgusting.”

Devlin and Grim nod in agreement. If Erica is right about her father faking his death, he’s no father at all and he’s just as bad as these men threatening her.

  Erica

It’s been two days since the house was broken into and I haven’t been able to sleep very well. It’s all been playing on my mind. Last night though, Lewis had a sleepover at Grim and Lauren’s place. Him and Connor have been begging and begging but with Lauren just having a baby, I wasn’t keen. However, Lauren came to me to ask for Lewis to stay and insisted it was ok. I was also worried letting Lewis out of my sight after everything that is going on but Scrappy told me how secured Lauren and Grim’s house is and that he’s more than safe there. I couldn’t say no to Lewis’ little pleading face. It was odd going to sleep in the room alone though, Scrappy was with Devlin and other club members to track down the men who are busy threatening me.

When my eyes open, I still feel really tired. I think it’s the stress getting on top of me.

I roll over in the big, empty bed and that’s when I see a shirtless Scrappy sat up in his own bed. His bed is across the room from mine, so as I completely roll over, I can easily see him and a shirtless Scrappy is something I want to stare at all day long. I can’t blame that whore Talia for being obsessed with Scrappy, I mean I can’t seem to take my eyes from his toned, tattooed torso.

“Morning.” Scrappy smirks, like he knows exactly what I’ve been thinking. I can appreciate how sexy he is. There’s no harm in that.

“Good morning.” I smile, watching as Scrappy gets out his bed in just his boxers and walks to the other end of the room. He has a tiny kitchen area, which consists of a microwave, a mini fridge and a kettle. He boils the kettle and offers me a cup of tea. “Please.”

We stay in a comfortable silence as I wake up from my troubled sleep and Scrappy makes us both a morning cup of tea. I thank him as he hands me the warm drink and he returns to his bed.

“It’s weird without Lewis.” Scrappy comments.

  “It is.” I nod.

“Not that it’s odd just us two.” He panics and I laugh.

“No I know,” I assure him. “I get what you mean.”

“I still can’t believe that I am a dad.” Scrappy shakes his head and his eyes wide with wonder.

“I know, it didn’t feel real the whole time I was pregnant.” I smile as I think back to my pregnancy. “It wasn’t until he was born and here that it began to feel real.”

“I would have loved to see you pregnant.” Scrappy whispers and I feel guilty again. “I didn’t mean to say that to make you feel bad.”

“No, but I do.” I sadly smile. “I think I always will.” I reach for my phone and scroll through my photos until I get to the ones I’m looking for. “Come here.”

Scrappy approaches my bed and sits down as I hand him my phone. His eyes widen when he sees the photos. They’re all of me in my pregnancy. From early on to Lewis’ birth. I’m stunned to see Scrappy’s eye shine with tears and as wonderful as it is to see, I feel like shit. He should have been there.

“I need you to send me all of these.” He orders, handing me my phone back.

“Sure.” I smile, taking my first sip of tea. “I am sorry.”

“I know.” Scrappy pats my quilt covered knee. “But you’re both here now.”

He gets up to collect his own mug, but surprises me when he returns to my bed a
nd sits beside me. Getting himself comfortable.

“Is it weird, that this isn’t weird?” I giggle and Scrappy laughs along.

“I was thinking that.” He then looks at me as if nothing has ever changed between us. Like the last four years haven’t happened or they did, I just didn’t run away. “I’ve really enjoyed having you back.”

“Me too.” I nudge him with my shoulder.

“Up until now, I didn’t realise how much I missed you.” He admits, stealing all the words from my mouth. “I was angry, but when I saw you being a mum to our boy and having you around me all the time, I realised that I still need you Erica. Nothing has changed.”

Teas gather in my eyes, blurring my vision and Scrappy leans closer, wiping them away. “I feel the same.”

  Scrappy looks stunned. “You do?”

I nod. “I wish I never went Ethan and that I stayed here. I didn’t realise how much you meant to me but I’ve come back and realised how stupid I was. When I saw that whore on you, it hit me how much I still feel for you.”

“I’m sorry about that.” Scrappy frowns. “Talia can be a handful but she doesn’t mean anything to me.”

“Don’t worry, your sister explained a lot to me.”

Scrappy puts down his mug and comes closer, capturing my face in his hands and looking deep into my eyes. There’s no need for any words. We know what each other is thinking and feeling. We’ve missed each other and want this again. We should never have been apart but shit happens and I hope I forget about that soon. Scrappy seems to forgive me though and I’m going to take it. I don’t want anyone else. I’ve seen that now. I have everything I need right here with Scrappy and Lewis.

When I think back and remember how much I was worried about the lifestyle he came from and the type of man he was, that he wouldn’t be interested in starting a family I have to laugh at myself. I was so stupid and so completely wrong.

Scrappy closes the gap, capturing me in a kiss that has me breathless. Without removing his mouth from mine, he takes my tea from me and places it on the side table. I laugh against his lips but soon stop when he deepens the kiss, his hands running into my hair and holding me against him. I moan when his tongue explores my mouth, it’s been so long since I felt like this.

“I want you.” I whisper against him mouth.

Scrappy backs away a little, looking me over. “Are you sure?”

If I wouldn’t be so embarrassed, I would jump on top of him and demand he take me, but I won’t do that. “Yes.” I nod instead.

Scrappy groans, almost growling as he returns the kiss, pulling me to sit on his lap. The way he holds me is as if I’m the most precious thing and it gives me goose bumps. It makes me forget my body insecurities from having Lewis as he rips my top from me. As my breasts are bare, I wrap my arms around his neck. His erection digging into my core, which I can easily feel through my thin pyjama shorts and his boxers. My gasps match his groans as we begin grinding against one another, the passion kicking into a new height. Scrappy’s hair is at a length that I can tangle my fingers in and pull, because I want more. So much more!

Scrappy rolls me over onto my back and he removes his boxers, running over to his bed side table for a condom as I remove my shorts. Both of us naked, we join back together in my bed, tangling our bodies together and reconnecting after so many years. With me under Scrappy, he spreads my legs and thrusts inside, making me scream out loud. Our sex life used to be amazing and this reunion isn’t any less. Scrappy throws my legs over his shoulders, thrusting deeper and I see black as my eyes roll back. My nails dig into him as I hold on, screaming and not caring who can overhear.

His rock hard cock hits deep and deliciously good. Scrappy adds a new height as he leans down and kisses me. Giving our connection another passionate level. I gasp as I feel the burn begin to stir in my stomach and Scrappy growls above me. Thrusting faster and harder, he brings us to the climax that leaves us breathless and panting.

We lay side by side in the bed, goofily smiling at one another.

“Well.” Scrappy smirks and I begin laughing.

“Just like the good old days.” I grin.

“Better than that.” Scrappy corrects, kissing me on my forehead. “So much better.”

I’m laying fully naked, stretchmarks from carrying our son on show and a chubby mummy tummy, but Scrappy is looking at me like I’m the most beautiful person in the world. I don’t feel self-conscious or ugly around him, I feel gorgeous and for that, my feelings deepen for him.

We stay lying in the bed, talking about everything. From Lewis, to us and all other nonsense. Scrappy places kisses on me every now and then, or strokes my hair and trails his fingers up my thigh. He makes me feel special. Scrappy begins kissing me again when the door bursts open, and we have the shock of our lives as Lewis comes bouncing in, yelling at the top of his voice. I make sure I’m fully covered by the bed quilt but Scrappy isn’t concerned in the lightest as Grim and Lauren stand at the door with Connor and their baby Franky.

“Sorry!” Lauren screams, quickly turning to leave and taking the children with her. Grim just stands there and laughs, closing the door before he goes to find his old lady.

Lewis jumps on the bed, not bothered in the slightest that me and his dad seem to be naked under the cover. He begins to tell us about his amazing time at his overnight adventure with Connor, the three of us sat in bed with not a worry in the world.

When he’s done with his stories, Lewis looks around for his toys and gets down from the bed.

“He doesn’t seem to have noticed.” I quietly giggle.

  “He’s young.” Scrappy shrugs.

I go to get up for a shower, wrapping a blanket around me as I pass Lewis playing on the floor but just before I go to close the bathroom door behind me, I over hear Lewis ask Scrappy a question.

“Daddy, why are you in mummies bed?”

Not able to hold in my laughter, I shut myself away and get in the shower. I’ll let Scrappy decide how to answer that one.

  Chapter Twelve

  Scrappy

Half way through the day, my phone rings and I immediately pick it up when I see its Grim.

  “Hey Prez.” I answer.

“Scrappy, I’ve got some news that you’re gonna want to hear.”

  “Tell me.” I order him.

  “Come to my office.”

He then ends the call so I have no other choice but to go to him. My nerves begin to show as I make my way to the office. If Prez wants to talk to me face to face, it’s got to be something good. Surely they’ve found the men responsible for scaring Erica.

Thinking of Erica, my mind goes back to this morning. Honestly, it was one of the best mornings I’ve ever fucking had! Reuniting with Erica was amazing and hopefully this is the start of us, again but for good this time. It felt great getting to hold her again in my arms and see her naked. I knew she was a bit nervous for me to see her after all these years because since having Lewis, her body has changed. I have a sister and a lot of women in the family, I know what happens and truthfully, Erica’s body has changed but I love her body. Her body is banging! She now has curves from where she carried our son. Her figure has my mouth watering and my body itches to be near her again. I’m happy to discover she’s still a little minx, but it was shocking for me to remember how powerful it is with Erica. All of these years having dull sex with meaningless women wasn’t fulfilling, I see that now, but with Erica is was on a higher level. The emotional value is there, there’s feelings and history which leads to our sex meaning a lot more. I won’t ever let Erica go again. I’ve been reminded of how much she means to me.

I can’t believe how close it was for Lewis walking in on us. I thought it was funny but Erica was obviously embarrassed. I think she thought she was going to scar her child. Honestly, I’ve seen a lot worse growing up. I assured her that Lewis would be fine and not have to seek therapy and she rolled her eyes at me in return. When Erica went in the shower Lewis st
arted to ask a few questions, mostly asking why I was in his mum’s bed and why I was naked. I didn’t know what I should tell him, so I answered his every question with, “Ask your mum buddy.”

So I’m sure she’s being heckled with a hundred questions right now.

I enter Grim’s office, and see that Devlin and Baby are here with Grim already. “Prez.” I nod to Grim.

Bomber, Cyrus and Zane follow after me, taking a seat on one of the sofas in the office.

“I’ll get to it shall I?” Grim asks, noticing how impatient I’m being. “So as I promised, I did a little hunting and asking around to get to the bottom of this, and I think I found something.”

“You did?” I ask, taking a seat and hanging on Grim’s every word.

Grim nods. “There were rumours circulating a man’s death and some of the details were similar to what Erica had suspected.”

“Her dad?” I guess, eager to know.

“I got it from an insider from one of the cleaning companies we use.” Grim nods and by cleaning company, he doesn’t mean someone with a mop and dust pan. He means the type of cleaning company who handles more of a bloody type of clean up and genuinely have to have more of a strong stomach to handle the sights that they have to deal with. “One of them told me that they were hired to clean up and stage an accidental looking death for a man who was already dead.”

“What?” I frown, feeling a little confused. “Why?”

“We don’t know.” Grim shrugs. “But I believe I know where the men are, who have been threatening Erica. As soon as we get the payment, our inside man will take us right there.”

“Well then, let’s get the payment and get this started.” I stand, determined to get this shit done with once and for all. I’m sick of having Erica worrying about her safety and as much as I like her being around me all of the time, I know she wants to get some space of her own and make a home for her and Lewis. However, that now includes me too. I want to be a family with my woman and my son, but first I need make sure they’re safe and that means taking care of these bastards.
