I rush from room to room. I stop when I enter one with an oasis that has a huge bathing pool and water features. It’s almost like it’s a mirage. I see a fruit basket with champagne sitting on the counter. It’s insane how thoughtful she is.
A note says, “Fit for Cleopatra but made for Queen Sen.” I try to fight the tears that come to my eyes. Glamour is just so thoughtful. I’m still wearing the outfit I got from the store, and I do feel like a queen in it.
Glamour cleaned it up for me again after the last fight and it looks as good as new. Ky has gone back to his normal clothing and traded in his suit.
“This is going to make living here so much more tolerable,” Ky says. “It’s almost like we aren’t being punished.”
“That’s exactly what it’s like. Now, why don’t we go soak in the large oasis and you show me this man magic you’ve been bragging about.” I smile at him as I start inside.
“You’re never letting me live that down are you?” He shakes his head with a smile.
“Nope, and I want all of your man magic, right now.”
With that, we go to enjoy the short-lived peace we have. The rebellion will go on. The fight is going to be hard, and I know my sister won’t stop until I’m dead, or she is. For now, I’ll just enjoy the fact that my ass isn’t burning on hot sand, and my Guardian is here to take care of me.
