Jonas extended his hand to James. “We’ll do what we can. You know we will.”

James shook it, and then shook Jackson and Jude’s hands.

“Let’s protect our own, guys. If we lose them to Petey and his assholes, we may never get them back.”

James pulled Chance into a hug, surprising the warlock. He laughed. “Never been so happy to have a warlock on our side!”

“I’ll do my best. I’m still learning, but I’ll see what I can do.”

They left James’ office and Jude hugged his father tightly and smiled at Jackson.

“See you later, Dads,” Jude chuckled as he made his way down the hall.

Jonas laughed and pulled Jackson into his arms.

“Ready to go to our new house?”

“I was ready a long time ago.”

Pulling into the driveway gave Jonas a sense of peace. He and Jackson were going to put their homes on the market, but Caden had offered to buy them for the outreach center kids who needed safe places to say. Who were they to say no? Jonas chuckled inwardly. When Caden Fournier wanted something done, it was done.

Jackson pulled the keys from his pocket and grinned.

  “What?” Jonas raised his brows.

“Can I carry you over the threshold?”

“Can I slap the shit out of you?”

  “So, no?” Jackson laughed.

Jonas slapped Jackson’s ass as he unlocked the door. The house was warm and inviting. The movers had come the day before and unloaded all their furniture.

They’d tried to be equal about mixing their furniture. Thankfully, they had the same tastes and the furniture had blended well. Jackson’s wine barrel coffee table and beige couch accentuated Jonas’ tan couches and dark end tables. The extra bed was in the bigger bedroom upstairs and Jonas’ kitchen table occupied the dining room since Jackson’s took up the kitchen nook.

The TempurPedic bed, which was Jackson’s, was in their room. Jonas slipped his jeans off and sprawled out on the bed with a sexy smile.

Jackson stood at the foot of the bed and removed his shirt. Just looking at Jonas made him hornier than hell. He flipped his shoes into the corner and pulled at the button of his jeans. Jonas crawled up the bed and kneeled in front of him. Moving his hands away, Jonas took the zipper down with his teeth.

  “Oh Jesus, Jonas,” Jackson whispered.

Jonas folded the denim back and pressed his nose to Jackson’s groin. Shivers went through his body as Jonas mouthed him through the thin cotton of his underwear. The man knew just how to turn him into a babbling idiot.

Fingers dipped under the elastic, and then his boxers were at mid-thigh. Jonas swiped his tongue through Jackson’s slit and groaned. Jackson threaded his fingers through Jonas’ hair as his tongue swept up his hard shaft. Nibbling, licking and blowing on the head of his dick, Jonas continued his seduction, biding his time for the main event. Jackson’s knees shook as Jonas engulfed him to the root. A harsh cry left his lips as Jonas’ finger pushed inside him.

Jackson’s body floated on a wave of pure ecstasy, and, somehow, he was on his back on the bed. Jonas was licking at his dick, teasing the bundle of nerves under the cap all while fingering him slowly. The beginning of his orgasm was trickling along his spine and into his balls. Jonas’ head came up and he grinned mischievously.

Jackson waited with bated breath until Jonas climbed up his body and kissed him slowly. His dick pushed at Jonas’ hole and then slipped inside. He gasped in surprise as Jonas leaned back, completely impaling himself on Jackson’s dick.

“Oh shit,” Jackson choked out. “How? When?”

“I stuffed some lube up there before we left,” Jonas whispered across Jackson’s lips. “How does it feel?”

“Oh fuck,” Jackson closed his eyes as Jonas’ mouth invaded his. He planted his feet and arched up to meet with Jonas’ body. “Damn, you feel so good.”

“I have to admit,” Jonas said breathlessly as he worked his hole up and down on Jackson’s cock. “I love having your dick in me.”

“I love it being there,” Jackson barely croaked.

“Good, now show me how much you like it,” Jonas growled against Jackson’s lips.

Jackson held Jonas’ hips, but the man worked him to the edge of insanity. His balls drew high and his ass clenched as Jonas came down on him full force. A loud cry left his lips and Jonas came all over them both. Jackson shuddered as the rest of his release shot into Jonas.

Jackson held Jonas close to him as they tried to regulate their breathing.

“Oh God.” Jackson kissed Jonas’ forehead. “I love making love with you.”

“Mmm. Next time, I’m riding you hard, like a bull rider.”

Jackson laughed. “Yeah, but I won’t buck you off.”

Jonas traced Jackson’s lips with his finger. “Shower?”

  “Yes. Then food.”

The smell of spaghetti warmed the kitchen as Jonas prepared dinner. Jackson made garlic bread and set the table. He opened a bottle of wine and turned to get some forks. The sound of a car in the drive caught their attention.

  “That’s my car,” Jackson said.

“The wolverine brought it back? Well, will wonders never cease?” Jonas chuckled.

There was a knock on the door, and then the doorbell rang. Jackson made his way to the front room and the doorbell rang again, and again.

“I’m not deaf!” Jackson shouted as he opened the door.

“Yeah? Well you took too long.”

The wolverine strode past him into the living room and whistled softly. “Nice digs.”

“Come on in,” Jackson drawled sarcastically.

“So it’s just the two of you here?”

Jonas crossed his arms. “We loaned you a car and you’re standing in our house. Can we have a name please?”

  “It’s Zack. Happy now?”

“Funny, we were just talking about you to James today,” Jackson said.

Zack lifted a brow. “Oh, is that right? Just what were you talking about?”

Jonas cut in. “We were wondering how fast you’d take off. You know, being scared of us and all.”

Zack hissed. “I’m not scared of anything!”

“Well, that’s good.” Jackson walked into the kitchen. “We were actually talking about having you move in here. Would you like some spaghetti?”

Zack’s mouth dropped open. “Excuse me? Did you just say move in here? With you two?”

Jackson poked his head out of the kitchen. “Spaghetti — yes or no?”

  “Yes,” Zack spluttered.

“To the spaghetti or to moving in with us?” Jonas asked with a grin.

“Spaghetti, yes. Moving in, I need to think about. I don’t know you guys. You could be sexual deviants or worse.”

“We’re only sexual deviants with each other, Zack,” Jackson chuckled from the kitchen.

  Zack’s nose twitched. “I don’t like people.”

“Well, we’re not people.” Jonas walked into the kitchen and sat down.

Zack stood in the entryway, not sure how to proceed. Who in the hell were these people? He slowly made his way to the kitchen and peeked inside. Jackson and Jonas sat at the table with wine and bread. The spaghetti looked really good.

“Well? Come on and eat. We’re werewolves so we tend to eat a lot.”

Zack grabbed a chair and sat down. He grabbed three pieces of garlic bread and shoved one into his mouth while dishing out spaghetti with the other hand.

Jackson’s stomach ached watching Zack shove food down. “Hungry?”

“Always,” Zack mumbled through a full mouth. He looked up to find both men eyeing him. “I’m a wolverine to the core. I’ll make you a deal. I’ll stay at the apartment most of the time for now, but I’ll try one night with you guys to see how it goes. Deal?”

  “Deal,” Jonas nodded. “Now eat.”

As they ate, Jonas talked to Jackson about th
e discussion with James. He stopped shoveling food in and stared at them as they spoke about Gaea’s visit to Jonas and Anya. A piece of bread fell from his lips as Jonas went on to say that Gaea had asked them to watch out for her children.

“So, you saw her?” Zack asked in disbelief.

“Oh, no. She was like this bright ball of light. I did see a little bit of golden hair, though.” Jonas grinned, slipping a piece of bread into his mouth.

  “And she said ‘her children’?”

Jonas nodded. “We have come into contact with quite a few children over the last few years. They were either kicked out of their homes for being gay, or the parents just didn’t care if they were there or not. Our foundation has taken them all in, schooled them, given them jobs, homes and anything else they might need.”

“Why?” Zack sat back, crossing his arms.

“Because we care.” Jackson leaned forward and glared at Zack. “We took these kids in, showed them that they were loved, that they deserved love. No one should ever be treated like garbage because of who they love.”

“You guys are weird.” Zack shook his head.

“You’re sitting in our kitchen eating dinner. Jackson loaned you his car not knowing if you’d come back. I think we’ve proven our point. We only want to help.”

“Like I said, I’ll think about it. I have to warn you, though; I’m not an easy guy to get along with. I say what I feel and I do what I want.”

“Just don’t blow up our house.” Jonas raised a brow.

“Can’t promise,” Zack snickered. He sobered and regarded the two men. “So, two alphas — how did that happen?”

“You got a couple hours?” Jackson chuckled.

“It seems I do,” Zack grinned.

Once Zack had left — taking Jackson’s car again, Jonas sat on the lounge chair on their bedroom patio and enjoyed the full moon. The sounds of the water lapping at the shore were so peaceful. The house was theirs, and he loved it. He finally had the man he loved at his side. Jackson joined him and Jonas sat up so that Jackson could sit behind him. Jonas leaned up against the strong chest and sighed in bliss.

“I brought you some wine.” Jackson kissed Jonas’ head.

“You do love me,” Jonas chuckled.

“With everything I am, Jonas Brooks. I will love you until the day I die.”

Jonas tilted his head and warm lips met with his. The kiss was slow and sensual and Jonas’ hands gripped Jackson’s strong thighs.

“Thank you, for waiting for me,” Jonas whispered against Jackson’s lips.

“I would have waited forever, Jonas.”

As Jonas was lowered gently to the bed, he knew Jackson loved him. Soft kisses warmed his abdomen and strong hands swept up his sides. His back arched as Jackson’s mouth owned his.

The tender touches, the soft kisses, the whispered words of love all told the story of Jackson’s love.

  Jonas had his forever.

  ~Epilogue~

  “Zack!” Jonas shouted with impatience.

Jackson walked into the kitchen and lifted the coffee pot. He stopped and looked into the open sugar container.

“Why is there a grenade in the sugar?” Jackson peered inside.

“Why is there an RPG round in the freezer?” Jonas snapped. “Zack!”

“Whoa, whoa, what’s all the shouting for?” Zack teetered into the kitchen, still half-asleep. “It’s early.”

  “It’s noon!” Jonas pointed out.

“It is?” Zack wiped the sleep out of his eyes. “Huh.”

“Why is there a grenade in the sugar?” Jonas crossed his arms and glared.

“Oh, is that what all the shouting’s about?” Zack scratched at the back of his neck and stumbled over to the kitchen nook. “I was up late making sure the house is protected.”

  “From?” Jackson asked.

Zack shrugged. “Who knows? Oh, I should warn you that there are weapons all over the house. As well as outside.”

Jonas dropped his coffee cup. “You do realize kids will be coming here?”

  “What kids? You have kids?”

Jackson sighed in exasperation. “My beta has a child, Ethan. He’s seven and very curious.”

“Does he weigh more than one hundred fifty pounds?”

“Zack…” Jonas growled low in his throat.

Frustrated, Jackson threw up his hand in Zack’s general direction. “I’m going to get the paper. You two work this out.”

“Um, are you taking the sidewalk or going through the grass?” Zack hedged.

“I don’t know, Zack — I’ve never had to commit either way before I’ve even opened the door,” Jackson sighed, turning the knob and heading out.

“I should go with you,” Zack said hurriedly, following him.

Jackson glanced over his shoulder, shaking his head as he stepped off the walk to cut through the grass.

“I wouldn’t walk there! The hydrangea is not your friend. Or there.”

  “Because?”

Zack threw up his hands. “Fine! I’ll take the mines out of the front yard.”

  “And?” Jackson raised his brows.

“I’ll put the weapons in the house up higher. Happy?”

“Not really, but if you’re going to stay here, we want you to feel safe.” Jackson stepped back to the sidewalk, shaking his head.

They’d had Zack in their house for two days. After being in his apartment for one night, he’d claimed cabin fever and had shown up on their doorstep. Jackson couldn’t argue with the younger man, he also felt safer in open spaces. He figured the home cooking hadn’t hurt either.

New Year’s was right around the corner and Jackson had every intention of convincing Zack to attend the outreach center party. It was time to get the wolverine around people his own age. Skylar had offered to take Zack out to the mall to go clothes shopping, but Zack had declined; he wasn’t ready for that many people. Skylar had no idea Zack wasn’t just an ordinary kid, but since he had problems with crowds, too, he understood.

Jackson sat down at the table and handed Zack a plate of eggs and bacon.

“Food!” Zack grabbed the plate and dug in.

“You’re welcome.” Jackson raised a brow at Zack, shoveling food in with both hands. “Forks are good, too.”

“Oh.” Zack grabbed the fork and inspected it.

Jonas sat down at the table and placed a glass of orange juice in front of Zack. He was still staring at his fork.

  “You’ve used one, haven’t you?”

“Seems like so long ago,” Zack mumbled.

Jonas peered over at Jackson; his face showed the sadness Jonas felt. They had no idea what Zack had endured, but they were going to make sure he was taken care of now.

“Would you like some toast, too?” Jonas asked.

Zack looked up. “Do you have…um… bagels?”

  Jonas smiled. “Yes, we do.”

Jonas stood and went to the cabinet; he pulled a bagel out of the bag and put it in the toaster. They had a long way to go with Zack, but he knew he and Jackson were up to the task.

Their eyes met and Jackson winked. Jonas mouthed ‘I love you.’

Jackson mouthed it back and smiled.

  Yeah, they’d be just fine.
