“I’m updating your contact info in my phone. You’re both always fused at the face. It’s the photo I’ll show the police if you go missing.”
Lucas cocks his head. “Real funny.”
Connor snorts and wrangles Devlin. They head out with the other people flowing from the stands. Lucas picks up my bag and takes my hand, leading me back to the bench where he collects his things.
He tosses me a cheeky look.
“What is it?”
“I was just thinking how I was right.”
“About what?”
Lucas stops our trek toward the school. He pins me with a fierce look.
“I told you by Homecoming you’d be mine.”
I roll my eyes and shove at him playfully. Lucas gathers me to him and gives me a toe-curling kiss that makes my heart flutter.
He’s not wrong.
