I jerked at the change of topic. “A what?”
“A holiday. You, me, and a guide book of your choice.”
“You mean it?”
“Yeah, I mean it. Where would you like to go?”
“Hawaii,” I said, giggling at his expression.
“You want to go to Hawaii?”
“Yes, I want to go there so much.”
“Okay, but I’m not wearing a shirt.”
“I promise not to take a photo if you do,” I giggled.
“I’d let you if it would make you laugh like you did last night.”
I smiled as I remembered the photo. “You looked hot. Not many men could pull off a shirt like that.”
“I can’t imagine anyone wearing one by choice.”
“You’d be surprised.”
He shook his head. “Do you feel like eating? I happen to know that Matt has made you pancakes - chocolate chip and blueberry ones.
“Wow, he’s spoiling me.” I grinned.
“They like you.”
“I like them too.”
“They’re good men. The best mates I could ask for. They’ve offered to take my cases while we’re away.”
“You’ve already planned it?”
“I planned to take you away to a place where you could relax and forget all your troubles.”
I reached to cup his face, and he leaned into my palm, “You make me so happy,” I told him, “It’s all happened so fast, and we’ve gone through so much in such a short time, but I wouldn’t change it for anything because we wouldn’t have met.”
“I can’t be glad about what you went through, sweetheart, because Ted caused you so much pain. I can promise you that from now on, all you will ever know is happiness, I’ll make it my mission to keep a smile on your face.” he kissed me, stealing my breath. “Now let’s feed you up. You’ll need your energy for what I have planned today.”
“And what do you have planned?” I asked him as we walked hand in hand to the door.
“I plan on thoroughly ravishing you until you can’t walk.”
“Well, you’d better build your energy up too because you make me feel greedy. I just can’t get enough of you.”
“I wonder who will crash first.” He grinned.
“I can’t wait to find out.” I giggled.
