And he didn’t stop sucking at my neck.

As good as it felt, it was also frustrating as hell. I couldn’t do anything. My hands were trapped, and he’d angled himself so that I couldn’t even lick him without getting his T-shirt.

I bucked my hips. The movement had my body moving up against his. Thank god for friction.

Nate lowered his hands, bringing mine with him. Just when I thought he’d gotten the hint, he pulled me away from the wall just enough to slip my hands behind me. With them now pinned behind me, he lowered his head further.

Just as I let out a grunt of frustration, he caught my nipple in his mouth. His teeth grazed over the tip before he claimed it fully with his mouth, sucking hard.

“Oh god, Nate,” I half gasped, half complained. Not because it didn’t feel good, because it really did—but because I needed to be touching him. My hands needed to be in his hair, over his body.

  Not restricted behind me.

Nate switched to my other nipple. As he did, he took both of my wrists in one of his. With his other free, he brought it around trailing it across my stomach and then down, between my legs.

“Not fair,” I moaned as his finger slid over me.

Sinking to his knees, finally releasing my hands, Nate began trailing kisses down my stomach until his tongue replaced his finger. His hot tongue ran the length of me before his mouth found my clit.

I slumped into the wall as he sucked hard, his tongue swirling around the sensitive nub. Now that my hands were free, they went straight into his hair, giving me something to grip.

For this comeback, he’d kept it black but there was an undercut that I was running my nails through as I held him in place. His mouth felt so good that I was not prepared to let him tease me.

There was a brief moment where my brain suddenly decided to question why this was happening at the top of the stairs, and then Nate slipped a finger inside me, curling it masterfully and hitting a spot which had my mind going blank as I came.

Panting, waves of deliciousness rolling over me, I was barely able to keep myself up against the wall as Nate’s body left mine. I looked down, finding him pulling a condom out of his pocket and rolling it down over his erection.

There had been a point where we had all been considering not using them—I was on birth control anyway. And then Kate got pregnant.

Nate’s hands slid up my thighs to my hips, briefly holding me there, and then, as I was still enjoying the orgasm, he lifted me, turning us both and moving me away from the wall.

With care, because I still wasn’t quite at the point where my brain was functioning properly, he lowered me down.

And then I felt his cock at my entrance.

Just as he slid inside me, he allowed me to almost fall down his shaft.

“Oh my god!” I cried as he completely filled me.

“Just Nate,” he muttered, before he dipped his head, reclaiming a nipple. His mouth was firm now, sucking hard, occasionally grazing his teeth over my sensitive skin

I twisted what hair I could through my fingers, trying to get him to allow me to move myself up and down his cock like I needed to. Instead, his hands held tightly to my hips. I could barely squirm in his lap.

“Nate,” I gasped. “I need to—don’t you need to come?”

Nate pulled back, looking up at me with a slight smirk on his face. “Yeah, but I’ve been dreaming of this for too long. I hate being away from you. We still have ten days before we finish with this comeback.” He leaned up, the movement making him slide deeper into me. “If I’ve got to get through that barely seeing you, then I want to make a new memory to jerk off to every morning while I’m away from you.”

Considering he was balls deep inside me, I still felt my cheeks heat up. Telling me that was hot as hell, but I wasn’t used to him saying things like that. Dante and Jun, definitely… but to be fair, they would still make me blush.

Reaching up, Nate brushed my hair out of my face. “Holly, you’re beautiful and I’m completely in love with you, but I find it both amazing and cute, that you still get embarrassed by things like this.”

I wasn’t sure what to say to that, but Nate made it so that I didn’t have to, kissing me. As his mouth took control of the kiss, he gradually laid me down of the in the middle of the hallway.

Although the underfloor heating was on most of day, it was too early for it to have kicked in and the polished wooden boards under my bare skin seemed ice-cold against my back.

As I arched my back away, pushing my breasts into his chest, I realized he was still almost completely dressed. Before I could pull the shirt off him, he started moving his hips.

  To hell with the clothes.

So long as his cock was in me, he could keep whatever the hell he wanted on.

His thrusts became faster, but rhythmic, until our kisses were more pulls at each other’s lips.

All of a sudden, Nate paused, straightening his arms to support his weight so he could look down at me. He kept his gaze locked with mine as he continued to thrust into me. “Beautiful.”

The look he gave me was intoxicating, and it was just enough to push me to my second release. My eyes closed. “Oh god, Nate!”

I could feel my body constricting around him, but he continued to thrust into me. Waves of the orgasm seemed to radiate through me to the pulse of his thrusts. Even my toes tingled.

And then Nate came, his body jerking more than thrusting. He slumped forward, his weight pressing on me just enough for him to wrap his arms around me and roll onto his back, sliding out of me as he did.

I clung onto him, nuzzling into his neck. “I love you, Nate Choi,” I whispered. Much as I wanted to yell that so the whole house echoed it back, I was suddenly hit by my exhaustion. Vaguely aware of him rubbing my back, my eyelids fluttered shut.

I awoke in my own bed, alone and naked. I wrapped the covers around me, screwing my eyes closed as I tried to work out what had woken me.

There was a chirp—my phone—that was what had disturbed my sleep.

I reached for it, not opening my eyes until my hand felt the smooth plastic of the case. Which was when I realized the chirp wasn’t a message tone but the ring tone. I cleared my throat before answering the call. “Hello?”

“Holly? Where are you? You have a nine o’clock meeting with the party planner and you’re not here.”

Inhye’s question made no sense. “Nine?” I pulled the phone away from my ear to look at the screen. It was 8:58 am. “Shit.” I sat up, my head in my hand. “Inhye, I’m still at home. Please can you get the party planner to reschedule?”

  “Of course.”

She would. Inhye had been my stepbrother’s secretary before I had stolen her away (albeit willingly). She was a goddess when it came to helping me with my insane schedule.

“Are you feeling OK? You’re never late,” Inhye asked.

“I just had a late night,” I told her. “I’ll be in as soon as I can.”

“Don’t rush. I’ll get your nine-thirty rescheduled too.”

I hung up and flopped back on the bed. Aside from a few days where I’d been in hospital and recovering, I’d not taken a sick day the whole time I’d been at Atlantis. Being late to meetings had happened when others had run over or emergencies had cropped up (surprisingly frequently in the K-pop world), but Inhye had always expertly managed my diary.

  Being late for work?

There was a first time for that.

I lifted the phone above my face. If I were about to rush around getting dressed and getting to work, I needed to know if multitasking and calling people was also on the agenda.

Flicking through the emails, I made a mental list of people to call, and then I opened one from an email address I didn’t recognize.

The words made my blood run cold as I promptly dropped the phone on my face.

  All I Need Is You

The phone calls didn’t happen. It was a miracle a car accident didn’t happen too considering
how distracted I was.

Instead of going straight to my office, despite the meeting I had already forgotten about, my first stop was the mail room.

I stood outside of the door, rereading the email.

  Dear Vice Chairwoman Lee,

Please forgive me for sending you an email. I have tried sending letters, but I have had no response. I’m not sure if this is because I am sending them to the wrong address, or because they are not being read.

My name is Ha Jeonggu and I am trying to locate my son, Ha Kyunki—or as the world knows him, H3RO’s Kyun. We drifted apart after my wife died. I wasn’t in a good place…

I knew that Kyun had some form of difficult childhood after Tae told me his mom had pretty much adopted him in middle school. Tae had never elaborated on what had caused those difficulties and although I’d probably had a dozen opportunities to ask Kyun myself, it felt like whatever it was, it was something Kyun should share with me himself.

  If he ever wanted to.

I cancelled out of the email, slipped the phone into my purse, and walked into the mail room.

Instantly, everyone was on their feet, bowing to me.

“Good morning, Vice Chairwoman. What brings you here?” A woman several years older than me walked over, bowing again as she reached me.

“I’ve had an email about some mail which never got to a recipient,” I told her.

The mail room manager immediately looked aghast. “Who was the recipient and sender? We have never held back any fan mail.”

I quickly shook my head. “I’m not complaining, and I’m certainly not accusing you of that. I’m just trying to track it down. Please could I have all the mail that’s been filtered away from H3RO?”

“Of course,” the manager said before getting one of the younger men in the room running out of the room. “I shall have it sent straight up to your office, Vice Chairwoman.”

I thanked them and left, finally heading up to my office. Inhye was on the phone in the little reception area outside, but the waiting areas was empty. As I started to mouth the question “is there anyone in my office?” she waved her hand at me.

Stopping, I backed up and waited for her to finish her call. “Who’s in there?” I asked, suspiciously.

“Actually, it’s about the party planner. She won’t reschedule.”

I caught my lower lip between my teeth and chewed on it. “Why not?”

“Apparently she was coming here as a courtesy to say their company would be unable to handle the Halloween Ball this year. They’ve been booked by another company.”

My mouth fell open. “It’s the same company Atlantis has used every Halloween!”

“I know, and I told her that.” Inhye winced. “I’m sorry. I’m trying to find someone else who isn’t booked up.”

It was probably a combination of having nothing to eat or drink, very little sleep, missing my guys, the party being a disaster before it already happened, and Kyun’s father suddenly appearing from nowhere, but the last thing I wanted to do was walk into my office.

“Inhye, what’s H3RO’s schedule looking like today?”

Inhye tilted her head, but then turned to her computer screen, clicking on something.

If there was one person I trusted with my secret, it was Inhye. Initially, I’d tried to limit the amount of people who knew about us. This was something that, if it got out, would destroy not only H3RO, but Atlantis.

But trying to do this job and manage my time with them—as well as explaining how the members would regularly come and visit me—wasn’t easy.

While she hadn’t quite figured it out, she had guessed something was up. And after some initial shock, and then a dating revelation of her own (which had surprised me), she’d accepted it and had been helping me out ever since.

“They’re at KNB Studios right now, and then they have a few hours before they’re due at a fan meet.” Inhye looked over at me, tilting her head again giving me a wry smile. “How much of your diary am I clearing?”

I blew out a breath. I had faced some really difficult days working here, but today, I just didn’t want to deal with party planning. “All of it. I’m going to get an early lunch with them, and I’ll be back, but I could do with some time to focus anyway.”

Atlantis had a great kitchen service but swinging by to pick up lunches for H3RO would earn me raised eyebrows now that I wasn’t their manager. They would have catering at the fan meet venue. I was more interested in eating with them, not what we were eating, anyway.

It was a selection of bento boxes, and meals provided by various fansites. Leaving the fan-produced meals alone, I picked up a bento box and was nibbling at some katsu chicken noodles when the door opened, and my boisterous group of men walked in.

“Noona!” Jun bellowed, shoving Dante out of the way to run over to me.

“Door!” Tae yelled, as Nate slammed it shut. He rounded on the maknae. “Damnit, Jun, you can’t be calling Holly ‘noona’ in public like this, and you damn well know it.”

Jun, who had been about to kiss me, turned back to his leader and gave him a cheeky grin. “You’re just pissed that I can.”

Dante walked up to him and smacked him upside the head. “Stop talking to your leader like that,” he said. He smacked him a second time. “And you don’t shove your hyungs out of the way, either.”

As Jun rubbed at the back of his head, Dante swooped in, kissing me before Jun could.

Jun somehow waited before claiming my lips as soon as Dante stepped back. “I’ve missed you, noona.” And then he leaned over and stole a piece of my chicken.

The door to the room opened and Manager Kim walked in. “What has gotten … oh, Chairman Lee. We weren’t expecting you.” The moment he saw me, he bowed.

I trusted Manager Kim. We all did.

A long time had been spent trying to find my replacement. These were my men and if I couldn’t be their manager anymore, then I needed to find someone who would look after them and wouldn’t say anything about our relationship (even though Manager Kim had signed an NDA).

“I had some free time,” I told him.

Manager Kim was in his mid-forties. He was also Korean-Canadian although he had spent nearly twenty-five years in Seoul. He pulled out a tablet and quickly tapped at it. “You have about an hour before I’m going to need to take H3RO through for the fan meet. I’ll make sure you’re not disturbed before then.”

“Thank you.” I gave him a grateful smile.

He returned it with a bow, and then backed out of the room.

As soon as the door was closed, I set the bento box down and stood, just in time for Minhyuk to envelope me in a hug. He and Jun were the shortest of the group, but they were still a few inches taller than me.

“What are you doing here?” he asked me, not letting go of me.

I shook my head, snuggling into his chest. Minhyuk was the snuggliest, cuddliest member of H3RO and what I really needed was a Minhyuk hug. Especially when their stylist had put them all in winter sweaters and jeans.

“Not that we’re not happy to see you, but has something happened?” Tae asked.

Opening my eyes, I found his gray ones—courtesy of contacts—staring intensely at me. I sucked in a deep breath and let it out slowly before reluctantly extracting myself from Minhyuk’s arms.

“I missed you guys,” I told him. “Much as it makes me so happy to know you guys are promoting and getting the wins you’ve always deserved, I miss you.”

It was the truth. It just wasn’t all the truth.

And Tae’s expression told me he knew that was the case.

There was hardly anything that I hid from them. There was almost always something happening at Atlantis and I’d tell them about it when I saw them—I’d just keep things vague where I needed to.

The only information I was hiding was about Kyun’s father. I wanted to see the letters he had apparently sent, and then, this was something that needed to be shared with Kyun.

; “You look terrible,” Dante informed me. “Did Nate keep you up too late?”

On the other side of the room, Nate raised his hand and flipped Dante the bird.

Minhyuk ushered me back into the seat, placing the bento box back on my lap with an unimpressed frown. “You need something more nutritional than this.”

“Nope, I just need to be around you guys.” I put what was left of the meal on the sideboard behind me.

Kyun, who had been lingering at the back, came and sat down next to me. I leaned over, resting my head on his shoulder as I held his hand, linking my fingers with his. “Which means something bad happened.”

“The party planner for Atlantis’ annual Halloween Ball cancelled on us this morning.” I closed my eyes. Kyun’s shoulder was comfortable enough to nap on. “And with everything else I’ve got to do at work, I couldn’t face planning a party on top of everything else.”

“You’re using us as a distraction?” Jun asked. “Because I can think of better ways for us to be distracting you.”

I opened my eyes and found him lazing across one of the other couches. He winked at me.

“Sex,” he added, just in case I hadn’t picked up on his not-so-subtle implication.

“All together?” Minhyuk asked, his eyes wide as his cheeks flamed pink.

“Oh, yeah… no.” Jun rolled onto his back and raised his arm to flop his hand back and forth. “Never mind me.”

“I didn’t come here for sex,” I told them all.

  I hadn’t.

Truth be told, even if I wanted to, the idea of doing it while we were backstage at an event made me feel nervous.

But in this instance, I didn’t want Minhyuk to feel uncomfortable or stressed.

  Minhyuk was still a virgin.

“We only have a couple more weeks of promotions, and then we can come back home,” Tae told me. “But we can get Manager Kim—”

“His job is stressful enough,” I said, cutting Tae off. “I should know. I lived it. I’m fine. You guys are fine. As you said, it’s a couple of weeks.”
