“Whoa, go slow, Elle. I’m already rock hard for you babe.”

“I’ve noticed and I’m not complaining.”

I laughed. “Yeah, but I don’t want to be a minute man. Slow down, just a little bit.”

  “Okay.”

She slid to the floor and took me into her mouth, slowly, exaggerated, looking up at me. It was so goddamn sexy. It didn’t take long for me to feel the end drawing near.

“You have stop,” I panted, trying to hold out.

In response, Elle sucked on me harder.

  “Fuck!”

I erupted, groaning loudly. She didn’t complain, she just took it all, a tiny trail slipping out of the corner of her mouth.

I pulled her to her feet and kissed her hard; I could taste myself on her. Fuck, that felt so damn good, I didn’t care. I had to have my turn.

I pulled her shirt up and over her head, pulling her tights and panties down to the floor as I crouched before her.

I dove in, my tongue slipping between her sweet heat. She cried out, her hands grabbing onto me as she wavered.

I pushed her back onto the bed and followed her there, spreading her legs and feasting like it was my last meal.

She squirmed, her face the perfect picture of ecstasy. My dick was hard and ready to go again as her body began to shake. She came hard against my tongue, but I didn’t give her a chance to come down. I moved my way up her body and pushed until I was deep inside her.

Damn, she felt so… I froze. I’d forgotten the condom.

  “Shit, Elle. Hang on.”

I tried to pull out of her, but she had her legs wrapped tightly around me.

“Don’t tease me, Chase, it feels so good.”

She let out a squeal as I rolled us over and pulled out. “God, Elle, I’m so sorry. I got carried away. Protection should have been the first thing on my mind.”

She looked down and frowned before getting up off of the bed and turning to one of my drawers, where I kept my condoms.

“You are going to let that stop us from finishing what we started?” she asked, tearing the wrapper open with her teeth.

I shook my head and watched as she slid the condom down my shaft before straddling my hips and sinking down on me. I was in fucking heaven.

“For the record, I am on the pill,” she murmured, rising up and down. “But I do understand you wanting the extra protection.”

Elle took control, rocking her hips, and I was happy to lie back and enjoy the ride, but I grew impatient, my heart pounding in my chest. I needed more. Grabbing her hips, I pulled her down on me harder, and I lifted my ass to meet her.

My climax came out of no where, its intensity overwhelming, but I couldn’t be completely satisfied until Elle joined me.

“Crawl up here,” I beckoned to her, tapping on my lower lip. “I want to taste you again.”

  She hesitated.

“Don’t get all shy on me now baby. There is nothing sexier than being able to get you off. Now do as you are told and come and sit on my face.”

As my tongue touched her clit, Elle forgot about being self-conscious, grabbing on to the headboard and using my mouth as she wanted. I held onto her legs tightly as she found her release, not letting go until she cried out, her body shuddering.

When I let her go, Elle climbed off of me, coming to rest, her head against my chest, both of us panting. Sex with Elle was on a whole different level than anything I had ever had before.

We stayed like that for a while, and I figured maybe she had dozed off – until she slipped off of me and began gathering her clothes.

  “Where are you going?”

“It’s not that I don’t want to stay, but I don’t think it’s a good idea.” She chewed her lip nervously. “I wouldn’t want Ivy to accidentally find me in your bed in the morning. Whatever this is, I don’t want to mess around with anything that has to do with her,” she explained quietly.

I sat up at the side of the bed and pulled her around to stand in front of me, wrapping my arms around her waist.

“You always have what’s best for her in your mind. Have I told you how glad I am that you took that interview with Claire?”

She laughed lightly, running her fingers through my tousled hair. “You didn’t think that at the time.”

“That’s only because I was too stubborn to admit that I needed help.”

“Well, I’m glad Claire made it happen because my life is definitely better with Ivy in it.”

She leaned down and kissed me softly before slipping through the bedroom door. As she disappeared from sight, I couldn’t help but wonder if Elle was really protecting Ivy, or if she was scared because she was falling for me as quickly as I was for her.

  Chapter Eleven

  Chase

I could hear Elle when she woke, tiptoeing around. I’d been up for a while, lounging in bed and working on an idea for a song. My sheets smelled of her perfume. I knew Ivy would be sleeping for a while yet, so I decided to take the opportunity and emerge from my room and over to Elle, who was lounging on the couch with a cup of tea in one hand, a book in the other. I took the tea from her as I sat down, placing it on the coffee table.

“Good morning,” I murmured, nuzzling into her neck.

She gasped and dropped her book, turning her attention to me. I slid my hand slowly up her leg and she giggled.

  “You’re tickling me,” she said.

“I’d like to be doing other things.”

The sound of the front door shattered the moment and we shifted apart. Our driver came quietly up the stairs.

“Ah, good morning, sir,” he greeted me. “Sorry if I have disturbed you, but we’re about to head out.”

I nodded. “Thank you. We’re ready to go.”

Our driver got into the driver’s seat and closed his privacy door. I’d had each bus equipped with one so that we didn’t disrupt our drivers with all of our noise. Sinking back into the cushions, I pulled Elle to me, wrapping my arm around her shoulder.

“So where are we headed today?” she asked.

“Uh, honestly I’m not sure. I’ll have to take a look at the schedule, but being that we weren’t driving overnight, we won’t have a show tonight.”

We cuddled until Ivy woke up. When she climbed out of her bed, she came right up and sat between us.

“Ewlle, I’m hungwy,” she said, resting her hand on Elle’s leg.

“You know what, sweetheart, how about I make breakfast. Okay? But first, let’s go get your teeth brushed and then I will make something for us all to eat.”

“Okay, Daddy.” Ivy beamed up at me. God this kid just melted my heart.

I wasn’t much of a cook, but I managed to make us all scrambled eggs and a waffle. I even allowed Ivy to eat at the coffee table as she watched the cartoons that Elle had turned on.

I had just finished washing up the dishes when my phone buzzed in my pocket.

“Claire just messaged to let us know that we will be at our next stop in an hour.”

True to her word, an hour later the bus pulled to a stop. When I looked outside, I couldn’t hide my shock.

  “What’s wrong?” Elle asked.

“Not a single thing. Come on outside. You should bring a sweater.”

I helped Ivy into her coat, and we got off of the bus. We were at Emerald Lake.

“Wow,” I heard Elle breathe behind me. “This is incredible.”

But the surprises didn’t end there.

“Hello, sweetheart!” Mom and Dad came around from the front of the bus. “We were wondering when you were going to get here.”

I looked between my mom and Claire, hoping to understand what was going on.

“We thought you might need a little middle of the tour break. Besides, I have heard the stories of this place as well as Banff so I thought it would be fun to schedule them in while we were out here,” Claire explained. “The rest of the crew has gone on ahead to set up the next venue once we are on our way again.

“You knew about this trip?” I asked Mom, and she smiled with a nod. “Did you think one day with my grand-daughter was going to be enough? Besides, this place has some great memories for our family.”

“Let’s get a family photo with Ivy,” Dad suggested.

The four of us all huddled by a sign as Claire snapped a picture for us.

“We have a shot of the three of us in that exact position from when I was a kid,” I explained to everyone.

Mom took Ivy from my arms. “So, we thought we would let you adult kids go and have fun. We’re going to head back to Banff to the Fairmont, where Claire has booked us all to stay tonight.”

  Claire grinned at me.

“I booked the entire floor, with the smaller rooms. I know you prefer not to have the suites. But the rooms are said to have an amazing view of Lake Louise.”

I smiled warmly at her. “This was all very thoughtful. Thank you for arranging all of this.”

“Say bye-bye to Daddy, we’re going to go back to the hotel. Would you like to go swimming?”

  “Yes!” Ivy squealed in excitement.

“We have canoes booked,” Stixx informed us. “Time to get going. Lots to do and see today.”

We headed over to the dock where we were equipped with life jackets and paddles. Ewan and Brant each opted to go solo. As there was no way that Stixx and Claire were going to separate, that left Elle and myself. I got into the canoe first and steadied it for Elle, who was smiling but looked more like she was in pain.

“Have you never been in a canoe before?” I asked.

She shook her head. “No, this is definitely a first.”

“I’ll take good care of you.”

“Please just don’t let us flip.”

Emerald Lake was one of the most beautiful places I had ever seen, and I had seen a lot of places. There was something about the peace and quiet, with just the sound of the water as our paddle pushed through it, the birds singing their songs, and the light breeze rustling through the trees all around the lake.

We paddled in silence for a while, aside from a little instruction as we pushed off from the dock.

“I cannot believe that I am getting the chance to see this right now,” I heard her murmur.

“I’m glad I am getting to see this with you.”

She turned to look back at me, but the canoe began to rock. She squealed loudly, grasping the sides of the boat.

“Relax, Elle, we aren’t going to tip.”

“That was your fault, saying something nice to me.”

Chuckling, I replied, “Sorry, what I meant to say was I am having a horrible time.”

I stopped paddling as we reached somewhere near the middle of the lake. Elle was overly careful as she pulled out her phone and took a couple of photos, one being a selfie with me in the background.

“Do you know what I love the most about all of this?” she questioned.

  “What’s that.”

“It’s the fact that this is the first place that I have ever been to that hasn’t been ruined by human influence. There is nothing except us out here, and everywhere I look is breathtaking.”

I glanced over to my left.

“Look right there,” I said, pointing to where the forest met with the lake. There, at the water’s edge, was a large moose.

“Oh my god,” Elle whispered, snapping a photo as it bent its head to take a drink.

As we sat there, the guys started paddling towards us, taking in the sight of the moose as well.

“We’ve got to head back,” Claire informed us. “We’re going to meet your parents for lunch before going for a hike around Lake Louise.”

I was tired by the time we got back to the bus. Elle grabbed us both a bottle of water before sitting down next to me on the couch.

It wasn’t long before we were pulling into the Fairmont parking lot at Banff National Park, which was situated to one side of Lake Louise, still some of the most breathtaking scenery I had ever seen in all of my travels.

Elle and I both pulled together a few things to bring into the hotel with us before heading outside. The less time the band spent in an enclosed public space, the better. Claire was at the front desk registering us, just indicating the floor we were going to be on, and then we were whisked off to the elevators and to our floor where my parents were waiting with Ivy.

“Hi, Daddy,” she said as I scooped her into my arms.

“Hey there, love bug, did you have a fun time with Grandma and Grandpa?”

  She nodded. “We went swimming!”

Claire joined us a few minutes later, handing us all keys. I had hoped that Elle would have been in the room beside mine, she was on the far end and it would have been weird to want to switch them up without reason. Especially when my mom offered to keep Ivy in her room for the night. The difference was, she knew there was something going on and was trying to help. Ah well, I would find a way to make it work.

We all went into our rooms to drop off our stuff before heading down to the restaurant. Lunch was relaxed and filled with laughs, but the guys inhaled their food in an eagerness to get back outside and go hiking. Claire, on the other hand, had decided that she had just about enough of the outdoors for the day.

“Elle, they have a wonderful spa here if you are interested in joining me. I mean, why would anyone want to go hiking and get all sweaty and stuff when you could be getting pampered. That’s more of a guy thing.”

A guy thing? What the fuck was that bullshit.

“Oh uh, well, I was hoping to look around the lake a little bit.”

“Well, I could always get you booked for a massage or something, and you could go for a walk to the waters edge until your appointment, if you like.”

I knew Claire was trying to be helpful, but I wanted to spend the afternoon with Elle myself.

“Yeah, I guess that would be okay,” Elle replied after some thought.

  Damn it.

  Chapter Twelve

  Elle

I felt a little bit like I had been uninvited to a party. Surrounded by so much beauty, I would have happily gone on the hike, even if hiking wasn’t necessarily my thing. The spa wasn’t exactly my thing either, but I didn’t want to disappoint Claire, who had seemed so excited for me to join her. So, after lunch, I booked an appointment for the early evening before making the most of my free time and leaving the hotel on my own. Walking over to the lake, I was blown away but the sheer size of it, but also the mirror like reflection of the trees and the mountains off of the water. I’d never seen water so clear. There was a path along the side of the water, and I took it, pausing when I reached an unoccupied bench that was made out of a large log. Sitting down, I found myself being content with just breathing in the clean air and discovering more details as I looked around. The path was busy with people walking further along the path, but as the time wore on, the tourists grew fewer and the sun began to set over the mountains. It took my breath away, the colours of orange and purple decorating the sky, illuminating the mountains. It took my breath away. It was time to head back to the hotel; I wished there was more time, but I didn’t want to walk back in the dark.

When I got back to the hotel, there was just enough time before my massage to have a quick shower. When I got down to the spa floor, I followed the masseuse back to a quiet, dimly lit room. An hour later, I felt like a pile of mush, every muscle relaxed. Sitting up, I thanked her and was getting up to get changed when she informed me that I wasn’t done yet, that I had been booked for the full package.

She asked me to move over to a chair in the opposite corner. Adjusting the chair so it was pretty close to lying down, she proceeded to start with a facial. There was a light tap on the door and another employee entered the room and moved to sit at my feet, the sound of water pouring into a tub filled the air. She slipped my feet into the warm water to begin a pedicure.

Once I was thoroughly pampered, with a manicure on top of everything else, both ladies slip
ped out through the door. As I rode the elevator up to our floor, I wondered where everyone might be, if I had missed a group dinner or if everyone was even back yet. I hoped they would be; the idea of being out in the wilderness at night was a scary thought. But just as I was about to use my key card, I heard a door open and a voice call my name. It was a low but rich gravely sound that made me shiver with anticipation.

  “Did you enjoy the pampering?”

I knew at once it was Chase who had changed my booking.

“You didn’t have to do that, you know.”

He nodded, keeping a couple of steps away from me.

“I know. I just figured that while you had some time off, you should actually enjoy it.”

The elevator dinged again, and Brant got off this time.

“Hey, guys, I came up to get you both for dinner.”

“We’ll be right down,” Chase replied.

“We’re getting pretty antsy, so don’t take too long, okay? I feel like I could eat a whole cow with all that damn hiking we did today.” With a playful salute, he got right back in the elevator and out of sight.

“He could have waited for us.” I laughed. “I think I’ll grab a sweater before we go.” The door to my room opened with a buzz and I went inside, but I didn’t hear the click of it closing – at least not until after Chase followed me inside. As I turned he kissed me, his lips determined. But we didn’t have time for that. I pressed my hand against his chest.

  “We have to go.”

“But it’s been all day,” he murmured against my lips.

  “Chase…”

He let out a huge sigh.

“Okay, fine, yes we do have to go. But we are meeting tonight once everyone is asleep. Deal? If you say no, we won’t be making it to dinner.”

“Yes, we’ll figure it out later,” I laughed. “Now let’s go.”

He leaned in to kiss me again on the elevator, but the door opened on one of the other floors, and he wanted to try to stay undetected as much as possible, so he leaned back into the corner with his head down.
