“Yes, I admit I thought about it in a brief vulnerable moment but that’s all it was. A thought. She came onto me, not the other way around. I know the real reason why you’ve been acting like this,” he stated.

“Oh really?” My arms folded across my chest. “And why is that, Adonis?”

“Because you know that I know that you’re hiding something from me. So, you try and act out to keep the heat off of you. Whenever I try to bring it up, you switch subjects and it turns into a fucking fight. I am you husband now, Bella! We have no secrets. Just tell me what you’re hiding and maybe I can help you!” he snapped.

I wanted to tell him. I stayed up at watching him sleep thinking I could get the courage to wake him up and tell him. I wrote him letter after letter about what I was doing. I wanted to give them to him, but I always ended up burning them up. It had been pure hell not telling him what I was up to, but I had to keep it a secret. I had to wait until I was done and then come clean. I’m afraid of how he might think of me afterwards.

  “I can’t,” I said just above a whisper.

“Bella, yes the fuck you can! I’m here and I’m not going anywhere. There is nothing you can say that will make me leave you. There is nothing you can do to make me leave you. You married another man and did all kind of shit with him and I still loved you.”

“You say that now, but you have no idea what I’m doing. You have no idea what I’ve done.” My head shook while tears found their way down my cheeks. “I’ve changed, Adonis. I don’t feel like I’m the same Bella. Because of what I’m doing, I’ve changed,” I spoke in between cries.

Grabbing my face in both his hands, he kissed my tears away. “Bella please tell me. This is what I’m here for. I’m here for you to tell me shit like this so you don’t drive your ass crazy. Please just tell me.” He rested his forehead on mine as he held me close. I inhaled the scent of him and got high off his masculine essence.

As he held me in his arms, I thought about telling him. I thought about telling him all of it. I was still fearful of what he might think, but I wouldn’t know what he thought at all if I didn’t tell him. I knew his love for me ran deep, so maybe he would forgive me. Maybe he wouldn’t look at me like a monster. Maybe he would still love me the same.

My mouth opened up to speak words, but none came out. Instead, a knock at the door interrupted my confession.

  “Come in!” Adonis shouted.

The door opened and in walked Zara. “I’m sorry to interrupt but Twan keeps yelling for us to come and his threats are getting very… obnoxious.” She giggled. “Are you ready, Bella?” she asked.

I turned to look at Adonis and he pleaded with his eyes for me to stay. He wanted to know so badly what I was doing and what I was going through. I never broke down to him what Enzo did to me. Not in detail. The more I thought about it, the more I knew that I wasn’t ready to tell him. I thought I would be able to tell him after it was all over, but now I was rethinking that. This may be something that I would have to take to my grave.

“I have to go,” was all I said before I walked away from him.

“Will I see you tonight, or will I catch you creeping in at four in the morning again?” he sarcastically asked to my back. Not knowing what to tell him or how to respond, I just simply ignored him and walked out the room.

“Are you okay? Was he asking about-”

“Yes, and yes,” I answered Zara before she could finish.

“Well… did you tell him anything?”

“No, Zara I didn’t and I’m not going to anymore,” I let her know as I grabbed my purse from off the coat rack.

“But Bella we talked about this. You said you would tell him when all of this was done. I can’t keep up this lie with my brother anymore. It’s driving me insane.” She pretended to pull out her hair for dramatics.

“I’m going to end it tonight and then make something else up. I can’t tell him what I’m doing. I just can’t.” I opened the door and walked out. I was done talking about it. I made up my mind, telling Adonis was out of the question. This secret would just have to die with me. As I walked to the car, I tried not to laugh at how pissed Twan looked.

“See, this is why I wanted to get some other guards to follow y’all asses around all day. Y’all take too fucking long. It’s almost night out,” he snapped, waving his hands all around.

“Wow. Someone is taking his new head of security job very seriously. Awe.” I fake smiled, rolling my eyes before getting in the car.

“Bella you lucky I’m not in the mood or I would body slam your ass,” he threatened.

Leah, Zara, and Desiree got in the car after me and once secure inside, Twan pulled off. The car ride was silent and pretty awkward. Every now and then Desiree would say something slick, but since I was trying to remain cool, calm, and collected, I didn’t say anything to her. Though it was itching me to curse her ass out.

“So, Belly Bel, are you and Adonis going to plan a grand wedding? I think you both deserve it since you’ve both been through a lot. But if you do, please plan it after I drop the twins. I don’t want to be a fat bridesmaid.” Leah rubbed her big round belly.

“Well you wouldn’t be a bridesmaid anyway. You’re already married. Only the unmarried can be by her side. So, it would be me next to her, Twan next to Adonis and you and Amir would be sitting above them contributing to the blessing of the marriage,” Zara cleared up. “But I do agree with Leah. I think it’s long overdue.”

  “Well if you ask me-”

“That’s just it, Desiree, nobody asked you,” I cut her off before she could finish. She opened her mouth to say something else, but Zara whispered something in her ear. She flashed a smile, rolling her eyes as she sat back and kept quiet.

“I’m not sure about the wedding. I want one, but we have so many other things to think about. Maybe another time.” I looked away and stared out the window as I thought about how having a wedding would be the best thing ever. Sharing my love with Adonis in front of all of Droga would be a dream come true, but it wasn’t the time.

The car came to a stop. We had arrived at a school like mansion. We waited for Twan to open the door, but he didn’t. Rolling her window down, Leah yelled out, “Twan! You’re supposed to open our door for us.”

“I ain’t supposed to do shit but stay black and live. You better open your own door,” he shot back.

  “TWAN!” I snapped.

“Aight, Bella damn! Always yelling and shit.” Seconds later he was coming around to open our door. I gave him a cold glare before I walked away from him. He played entirely too much. “Okay, Zara what is this?”

“Yea, what is this place? It’s so beautiful and humungous,” Leah complimented.

“Please let it be our new home,” Desiree mumbled. This bitch was really working my last nerve.

“Well, I brought you all out here for a surprise and a proposition. See, now that we have more freedom with not living in the palace, I figured we could do something with that freedom. I know we all get very bored sitting at home doing nothing. This way we have something to do and it can be fun,” she started, smiling from ear to ear.

“Zara will you just come out and say it?” I sighed.

Biting her lip, she raised her brows in excitement. “I want to start a boarding charm school and I want all of you to be a part of it,” she finally blurted.

  “A what?” I quizzed.

“A charm school. It’s where we teach young girls etiquette, manners, and social graces,” she broke down.

“Ooooh. Okay. That sounds nice, Zara, but how do we come into play? Bella still has some ghetto in her and I’m nowhere near charming. Especially since I’ve been pregnant,” Leah joked.

“Well, see I can handle the charm part. Leah you can teach them photography, modeling, and poise since you’ve always wanted to be a model. Bella can teach dance classes for entertainment and knowledge for when they go to balls and things like that. Desiree, I haven’t really thought of anythi
ng for you but I’m sure I will come up with something.” She shrugged.

“So, what do you all say? We can get it up and running right after Leah gives birth to the twins. That’s in just a few months which is right before the school year will start. We just have to decorate it and all that good stuff. It will be fun.” She beamed. She seemed so happy about starting the school and I myself was kind of enthused by it. It would get me out the house and I could have something to do other than being a mom, a queen, and a wife. Those were a lot of hats, but one more wouldn’t hurt.

  “I’m down,” I agreed.

“Yea, me too!” Leah agreed also.

  “Yes! What about you, Desiree?”

“I’ll think about it.” She forced a smile. I was so confused on why Zara couldn’t tell how fake and phony this bitch was.

“Good! We can start on everything next week! I’m so excited! Thank you so much! We should go out and celebrate or something,” Zara suggested.

“I would but I have that thing to do tonight. I’m going to make tonight my last night doing it. It will finally come to an end and then I can move on with my life,” I shared.

“Do want us to come with you?” Leah offered up.

“No. I need to do this on my own. I’ll just take the extra car that followed me and then I’ll have Tibby come out there to make sure I’m safe,” I let them know. We shared a few more words before hugging each other and saying our goodbyes. Twan tried to fight me about leaving me alone, but we came to an agreement. I called him so he could stay on the phone with me the entire time until Tibby got there. He wasn’t happy about it, but it was a compromise, so he had no choice but to agree.

The driver in the other car that followed us rode with Twan and the ladies. I took the car and drove out to where I’ve been going every night. It was a far drive out to the middle of butt fuck nowhere. The only thing in sight was a cellar that led to an underground basement. Tibby was the one who told me about it. He said the King knew nothing of it since it was in the center of the poverty parts of Droga.

When I got there, I grabbed my purse that had my keys to the cellar inside and parked the car to get out. I made my way down the cellar and instantly gagged. It was so foul that I had to put my mask on. Blood, flesh, and vomit was everywhere. It looked like a horror film scene.

“Beeeella? Bella is that you? Bella pleeease let me go. You must let me go. I’m dying here,” he spoke from inside the cell like room. He was standing up with his hands tied up to the ceiling and his legs tied up to the hooks on the ground. If I didn’t know who he was, I wouldn’t have recognized him because of how badly I had beaten him.

“Bella? Are you there? Let me out of here! I said I’m dyyyying,” he cried. His eyes were swollen shut so he couldn’t see me. Ignoring him, I walked to the second cell that held another body. Unfortunately, that body was already dead. One less person to worry about.

“Beeeellaaaaaa! I know you’re there! I’ve had enough!”

“I’m to say when you’ve had enough you worthless piece of shit!” I barked behind the bars.

  “But I’m dying!”

“We can’t have that can we now? We haven’t even gotten to the good part.” I deviously grinned as I rambled into my large suitcase. Every toy, machine, and object that was used on me, was inside the bag. “Let’s see how the good King Enzo likes objects being rammed up his ass,” I spoke in between my closed teeth.

“Bella no. Please Bella don’t do this. Bella nooooooo!”

  King Adonis

“Load up the truck!” I yelled to my new workers. I watched as they grabbed bags of weapons and drugs and loaded them up in the trucks. One set was for Compton and the other was for Droga. Tonight, was the night we officially get our business up and running after everything that had been going on. It felt good to get back to business. I needed something to keep me busy, so I wouldn’t worry about Bella’s ass so much.

“We are good to go, your highness,” one of my workers said.

“Good. Start them up and pull off. Send me the confirmation in the morning,” I ordered.

  “Yes, your highness.”

As I was counting the inventory on my clipboard, I glanced up to spot a guard I had never seen before. He kept checking his watch as if he was waiting for something or someone. He looked suspicious as hell and I didn’t do suspicious well.

Spotting a fellow guard, I called out to him. He came running over to me at good pace. “Yes, your-”

“Who is that guard?” I got straight to the point.

“Who, Tibby?” He pointed at the man and I just have him a blank glare. “He’s a fellow guard, your grace. I’m surprised you don’t know him. He’s the Queen’s personal guard,” he pointed out.

My face turned confused. “My Queen does not have a personal guard.”

  “Are you sure because-”

  “I know my Queen’s guard!” I snapped.

“I apologize, your grace. I just figured that since he’s always with her that he was her personal guard.”

His last words concerned me. “What do you mean always with her?” I quizzed.

He looked like he had just slipped up, but he knew not to withhold information from me. “Just like I stated, my King. They are always whispering and having secret meetings. They mostly meet at night and don’t return until the morning. I don’t know what they-” he was saying but I walked away from him. My skin was boiling as I marched over to Tibby. He had just checked his watch again and was about to get in his car. That was until I caught up with him.

“Woah!” he spat when I slammed him against the car and wrapped my arms around his neck. “My King! My King!”

“My King my ass. You fucking my wife nigga!” I barked inches away from his face.

“Good, God no! I would never do such a thing, your highness!” he pleaded.

“That’s hard to fucking believe when people telling me that you spend more time with my wife more than I do. You out late with her and showing up in the early mornings together. Whispering and shit. What the fuck is that about?” I squeezed his neck harder. He was black as shit, but he was turning purple with the loss of oxygen. I didn’t care who was around, he was gone die by my hands if he didn’t tell me what I needed to know.

“King, I just drive her. That’s all. There is nothing going on with me and my Queen.”

  “Drive her where?”

He got silent. He dreaded telling me, but my grip was getting tighter and tighter by the second. He had no choice but to talk soon. “Tell me or Die!” I threatened.

“I drive her to a cellar. Out in the poverty parts of Droga. She said she needed a place where no one would find her. She asked me to drive her there at night and stay until she is done. I don’t ask questions, your grace. I don’t know what she does. I just do what I’m ordered to do. I promise that is all I know. I promise.”

Being a King for years, I could tell when someone was lying. They would sweat and come off nervous or jittery. Tibby was none of those, so I knew he was telling the truth.

“Are you going to meet her now?” I quizzed.

“Not yet. She told me to come in an hour. She drove out there on her own, but asked if I could follow her back home,” he answered.

“We leave now. Let’s go,” I ordered, snatching my hands from his throat. He fell to the floor choking up his lungs. “Stop with the dramatics and get in the car. If she won’t tell me the truth then I’ll find out on my own,” I mumbled to myself. After he was done coughing, we both got in the car and pulled off. I didn’t say a word to him the entire drive. I felt betrayed by Bella and him. I didn’t know she had people outside of the family helping her. That was by far the most disrespectful thing she could do.

One thing I was calm about was the fact that my suspicions were not true. She wasn’t bedding another man. Well, at least not the guard. When we got to the site, I noticed the door to the cellar. “Give me the key.” I held out my hand.

  “But your highness I
don’t have a key-”

“Nigga you think I’m stupid? She trusts you enough to drive her here, but she didn’t give you a spare key. That’s dumb as shit. Now give me the damn key before I find it myself.” I pulled out a knife from my pocket. Fear crossed his eyes as he rambled through his pockets, trying to find what I knew he had. Once he found it, he tossed it to me.

“Leave now and never come back. You lucky I won’t take your head but let me warn you. If you ever pull a stunt like this and refuse to inform your King, I will take your life. Am I understood?” I barked.

  “Yes, my King!”

“Good. Now leave,” I ordered before stepping out the car. As he peeled off, I made my way to the cellar. After opening it, I quietly walked down the stairs. Screaming filled my ears.

“ARRRRRRRRRG! STOOOOOP IT!” the familiar voice screamed in agony. The closer I got, the louder it was. Making my way to the end of the stairs, my eyes bucked at the scene before me. It was gruesome. Something like I never seen before.

“Oh, you want me to stop? That’s funny because when I yelled stop, you kept going. When I yelled that it hurt, you went harder. When I cried and told you I couldn’t take any more, you beat me. When I begged for mercy, you laughed at me. So no, Enzo, I won’t stop. I won’t stop until you feel every inch of pain that you inflicted on me!” Bella yelled.

Enzo was chained to a table on all fours. I could barely recognize him because his face was badly bruised. Blood was everywhere and the stench was sickening. It was like he had already died or something. I watched as Bella continuously whip him all over his body. She had no mercy. In her eyes, she had no care. They were dark and full of hurt, pain, and revenge.

I wanted to stop her, but I felt like she needed this. No matter how harsh it was, she needed to get this out or her pain would destroy her.

“Why Enzo? Why me? Huh? Whhhhhy?” With every word, she rammed him.

“Becaaaaaause! You reminded me of her. She hurt me, so I wanted to hurt you. She was the love of my life and she chose another man. She ran away from me and took all the love I had with her. She turned me cold. So, when I got her back, I made her pay. I inflicted pain on her so she could feel how I felt,” he confessed.
