The man in the suit tried hard to cover his reaction to my stink but failed miserably.
“FBI Special Agent Nathan Murray, this is Cassie Bennett. She’s a skip tracer, among other things.”
Nathan Murray was a man to be reckoned with. He towered over me like a linebacker. His jaw ticked as he lowered his gaze down my garbage stained body. I swear my stains heated another degree or two just looking at this guy. He nodded in that official way that told me my shower was still a long time coming before he sat down.
“Jimbo, what do the Feds have to do with a local murder and how in the world did they get here so fast?” I asked meeting Jimbo’s gaze.
A smile slid onto Jimbo’s face. “I told you she was quick.”
