The Single Dad and his Soul Mate

Next, I dipped my head and latched onto one of his nipples, which I remembered to be super sensitive. Flynn cried out, arching against me, and I bit and sucked the nub while rubbing his hole with my finger.
“Matteo, please. Please fuck me.”
Breathing hard and so far gone I couldn’t think, I let my eyes rove his body. His beautiful face and milky skin, the soft hairs on his belly and the trimmed curls below, the planes of muscle beneath my fingers—all combined to shut down my brain, and when Flynn bit my earlobe, my cock jerked.
“Get inside me.” It was half demand, half plea.
“I need more lube,” I said, feeling around the bed for the bottle while he sucked a bruise under my jaw.
“No. Now.”
Giving up, I grasped his waist and pushed in, part of my brain screaming at me about not having a condom while the rest told me this was Flynn, my Flynn. I’d never been so reckless.
“Yessss!” Flynn pulled me closer with his long legs, and I surged into him all the way to my balls, body zinging with pleasure. “Oh, God, fuck me hard, Matty, please…”
Hips pumping, I set a fast rhythm. The pillows tumbled off the squeaking bed. Flynn’s fingers dug into my shoulders as I rocked, giving an occasional twist of my hips just to hear him moan.
“Yes, God,” he whimpered.
I took his mouth again. He was tight and hot and begging, and I needed him more than air. When I couldn’t hold onto the position any longer, I eased him onto his back, resting his calves on my shoulders.
“Mm, yeah. Fuck me.” Flynn looked up at me, panting, eyes half-closed, the picture of debauchery, and I suddenly remembered the time he’d asked me to fuck him while wearing only my leather jacket. He’d been wild that night. We both had been.
I shoved in hard and watched his face contort with pleasure-pain. “Yeah, baby, like that,” he said, voice low and gravely. I withdrew and did it again.
One of the things I’d always loved about sex with Flynn was that, for a reserved guy, he was incredibly verbal in bed. He always told me when something felt good or didn’t, and he could scream the house down when we really got going. I wanted to hear that now. I shoved his thighs to his chest to get a better angle.
Spitting onto his hole, I began fucking him, watching the rim cling to my cock at every withdrawal. My head was buzzing, my balls tightening up. I wanted to take him with me, and I wanted to hear that scream.
“Hold your legs,” I ordered, and Flynn grabbed the backs of his knees. I repositioned myself and began pistoning into him, hitting his prostate over and over again, listening to him wail and holding in my own climax until I felt his muscles squeeze around me. He bucked like a wild thing, a dark flush rising over his body, and I got what I wanted.
His yell seemed to shake the apartment, and I hoped there was no one around to hear it because they’d think someone was being murdered. I’d barely been hanging on and when I felt him stiffen and heard his cry, I let go, pumping what felt like gallons of cum into Flynn’s body, until, heaving and gasping, I collapsed on top of him.
CHAPTER SEVEN
Flynn
I’d died and gone to heaven. I must have because I was lying beside Matteo’s warm, naked body, our legs entwined and his cum leaking out of my ass
“God, that was good,” I said, and Matteo started laughing.
“What?” I looked at him. We didn’t have any fucking pillows under our heads because they’d toppled off onto the floor, but I wasn’t going to move for anything.
“Such an understatement,” he said. He sobered. “Was it always like that between us?”
“Yeah,” I said honestly.
“Thought so.” He laid his head on my chest, and I combed my fingers through his thick, dark hair. “I didn’t expect this when I asked you to talk.”
“I know. And I’m not sorry we did it, just so you know.” I sighed, and he turned his head to kiss my chest before resting his cheek against me again.
We might have dozed until the sound of my cell ringing in the other room jerked me out of bed. “Shit! I forgot to call Jess and Gloria.” I ran out of the room and snatched my phone from the pocket of my jeans, which were puddled in the middle of the floor.
“Hello?”
“Flynn?” Jessica sounded worried.
“God, what time is it?” I walked into the kitchen and looked at the clock on the stove. “Shit, Jess. I’m sorry.”
“It’s fine. We were just getting a little worried.”
“Has Coop been asking for me?”
“Only once, and then Gloria made him French fries, and he forgot about you.”
“I am so sorry,” I said again.
Matteo came up behind me, wrapping me in his strong arms.
“Who is it?” he whispered.
“Something came up,” I said to Jessica.
“Yeah? Sounds like something really sexy.” I could tell she was smiling. “Want me and Gloria to keep Cooper for the night? We have pajamas and stuff here for him.”
“Of course you do,” I said wryly. Honestly, it warmed my heart how much they loved and doted on him.
“Tell them yes,” Matteo said in my ear before taking the lobe between his teeth.
“Do you mind?” I asked, melting into him.
“Oh, my God, you are getting your groove on!” Gloria must have grabbed the phone from Jessica. “No, we don’t mind, but we want to hear all about it tomorrow.” With that, she ended the call.
“Nice friends you’ve got there,” Matteo said before biting my shoulder. My dick jerked.
“The best. They’ve been with me through so much.”
I turned in Matteo’s arms and stared into his eyes. He looked troubled but smiled softly. “Let’s go back to bed.”
I wasn’t going to say no. The rational part of me knew this was all a terrible idea. Matteo had said himself nothing had changed in his life: his grandmother was still alive, which meant he was still in the closet. He was even still working the night security job. But I couldn’t stop, not now that I’d tasted him. It was the reason I’d stayed away in the first place. We could never be just friends. When it came to Matteo Costa, I was weak, weak, weak.
Matteo’s hand slipped downward to cup my balls, and I moaned. “Come on, baby. I want to get to know every bit of you again.”
I kissed him. “Let’s shower first, okay?”
Matteo nodded, and a few minutes later we both stood under the warm spray.
“You’ve got great water pressure here,” he said, soaping himself up.
“I know. I love it. Back in Cali, the water pressure in my apartment was for shit.”
“Mine sucks too. The clubhouse’s is slightly better than at Nonna’s.”
Just the mention of the woman I blamed for keeping us apart brought the temperature down several degrees, but then Matteo began to wash me, and I wouldn’t have been able to remember the woman’s name if I tried. We wound up with his hands under my legs fucking me against the wall while we kissed and tried not to drown.
“As good as it feels, I can’t come like this,” I finally said, and, with a last kiss, Matteo eased me back onto my feet. Toweling ourselves dry, we hurried into the bedroom, and I picked up the pillows from the floor and fixed the blankets before we crawled under them. The CD had run its course, leaving the apartment quiet except for the low hum of the refrigerator in the kitchen.
“Christ, I want you every which way,” Matteo said, then suddenly stilled and raised his eyes to mine. “We didn’t use a condom. I thought about it once and then…”
“My fault. I couldn’t wait.” We’d stopped using condoms early on when we’d been together. After the initial few times, there had been no need. I hadn’t even thought about it. “I’m clean. I swear, Matteo. I’ve been tested several times since I was last with someone.”
He nodded. “Me too. I can show you the results on my phone.”
I frowned. “You go around with your test results on your phone? Do
you always do it bare?”
“No! It’s just some guys want to see it, even with a condom.”
The thought of Matteo with someone else was like a bucket of cold water and reminded me that this was nothing but an interlude. We weren’t together. But Matteo kissed my frown away, and soon we were making out hot and heavy again.
Matteo stroked my cock as we made out, edging me higher and higher.
“Wait, wait,” I said, and his hand stilled. “I don’t want to come again yet. Turn over.” I was breathing like I’d run around the block full speed.
Matteo flipped onto his stomach, and my eyes took in the long expanse of his back, slim hips, and fine ass. Leaning over him, I pressed a kiss between his shoulder blades. Then one farther down his back. And another. And another, until I got to that ass.
“Flynn.” Matteo’s breathing was loud in the room as I ran my tongue over the soft globes. “Fuck, Flynn.” I smiled against his skin and kept licking. Then I nudged him so he spread his legs, and I lay down between them. Pushing his cheeks apart, I licked up the seam of his ass from taint to tail bone. Matteo growled low in his throat. I bit him on the ass cheek, and he jerked. “Fuck!”
I licked him again just like before then paused at his tight hole, smoothing down the dark hairs that grew there with my tongue. Matteo’s fists clenched tight in the sheets. Pushing his legs farther open, I began tongue punching him.
“Oh, Christ. Fuck, Flynn.” Matteo humped the bed, balls tight and red against his body. I took one of them in my mouth and sucked.
“Holy shit, mother of God!” He trembled. I sucked the other ball, loving the texture and slight fuzz against my tongue and the way he jerked every time I licked him.
The next thing I knew, Matteo flipped over again and pulled me on top of him.
“Ride me.”
I reached for the lube. Squeezing a liberal amount in my hand, I coated Matteo’s cock while he stared at me with dark eyes. Then I lowered myself onto him, body taking him in hungrily, until I was fully seated.
Matteo ran his hands up my thighs and stomach, pausing to twist and pull my nipples.
“Yeah,” I said on a breath. “Like that.”
He plucked and twirled to the point of pain while I began to bounce on him. I didn’t think there was a nerve in me at that point that wasn’t overcome with pleasure. When Matteo dug his thumbnails into my nipples, I screamed and came, ropes of semen hitting Matteo’s upper chest and chin.
He let out a low moan, tensed, and I felt him come inside me, the cords of his neck straining and his hands gripping my waist hard.
I drooped, and he caught me, rolling us onto our sides, his cock slipping out of me.
CHAPTER EIGHT
Matteo
“You look like a new man,” Blaze said as I poured coffee into a mug. “When did you get here, anyway?”
“About fifteen minutes ago. You and Lake were going at it so hard, no surprise you didn’t hear me. He’s very…enthusiastic” I grinned at him over my cup, my thoughts going to another very enthusiastic man in bed. God, I wanted to go back over there.
Blaze nudged me aside and poured himself some coffee. “Don’t tell Lake.”
Lake breezed into the room, long legs encased in jeans and blond hair in a bun on top of his head. “Don’t tell me what?”
“Where are you going looking all sexy?” Blaze asked, reaching for his boyfriend and kissing him softly before turning back to his coffee. Our fearless leader was obviously trying to divert attention from that we’d been talking about, and I could only assume Lake didn’t appreciate being called loud in bed.
Lake smiled. “To the mall with Sara. Want to come?”
“I’ll pass,” Blaze said, leaning against the counter and taking a sip of his coffee. “Mmm, this is good.”
“That’s because I made it,” I said. “Your coffee tastes like it’s been boiled with gym socks.”
“Says you.”
Lake reached into the refrigerator and took out a closed tumbler of something green and thick. “So what is Matteo not supposed to tell me?” he asked, shaking up the mixture.
I glanced at Blaze, who winced into his cup. “He’s not gonna give up, Bossman.” I turned to Lake. “I was just promising not to tell you about the gift Blaze got you.”
Blaze choked on his coffee.
Lake’s eyes lit up, and a smile slowly curved his lips. “You remembered.” Leaning close, he kissed Blaze in a way that brought my cock to attention and made me feel like a voyeur. “I knew you wouldn’t forget. Okay, so I won’t press and ruin the surprise. I’ve got to go, but I’ll see you tonight, baby.”
He poured the nasty concoction into a to-go cup and left the kitchen in a waft of citrus scent. A moment later, we heard the front door close and lock.
“I’d be mad at you, but it’s evident you’ve saved my ass,” Blaze said.
“Anniversary?” I asked.
Blaze shook his head.
“Birthday?”
Blaze stilled. “Fuck.” He set he cup on the counter and opened the junk drawer to pull out a calendar from the SPCA. “His birthday is tomorrow! Holy shit, I forgot all about it!”
“But he doesn’t know that. All you have to do is go find him a great gift.”
Blaze ran his hand through his dark hair. “I can’t believe I forgot.” Striking blue eyes met mine, looking pained. “Matteo, I was planning to propose on his birthday! How did it get to be late October already? Shit.”
I grinned. “Are you really gonna propose? Fuck, man, that’s great!” Blaze and Lake had been together a few years and any idiot could see how in love they were. The realization that my friends seemed to be hooking up with their forever person at an alarming rate settled in my chest like a weight. Hell, even fucking Hung was stupid in love, and I’d thought he’d be screwing around forever.
Blaze ran his hands down his face. “I have about a million things to do. You busy today? Will you help me?”
“I’m all yours.”
We spent the next several hours choosing a ring, finagling a reservation at a top-rated restaurant, and buying Blaze something to wear that wouldn’t get them kicked out. By the time we were finished, I had approximately an hour before I had to go to work.
As busy as I’d been, any time Blaze wasn’t demanding my mind be on him and Lake, I was remembering the night before with Flynn. God, I couldn’t get it out of my mind. Over the years, I’d tried to convince myself he and I hadn’t been that phenomenal together. It had been the fresh glaze of love and the sentiment after it was all over that had made it seem that way. Sex was sex. Right?
But last night had told me that I hadn’t glossed over it all with the polished sheen of reminiscence. With Flynn, there were fireworks. Fucking state of the art, expensive as shit, light-up-the-sky-to-be-seen-from-the-next-county fireworks. There was sex, and then there was sex with feeling, and then there was sex with feeling with the person you loved beyond all else. The last was Flynn, no doubt about it. Nothing else could compare, and now that I’d confirmed that, I had to see him again, no question. The fact that it wasn’t fair to Flynn or healthy for either of us didn’t matter one iota to me right then. Not while I could still taste him on my lips and feel his body beneath mine.
He hadn’t texted me, but I didn’t expect him to. I knew Flynn: he would wait for me to make a move. But that didn’t mean he wouldn’t turn me down. Having had time to think about it, he might have come to his senses and realizing diving back into something with me would be stupid.
I’d gotten his number before leaving his place that morning. Surprisingly, things hadn’t been awkward at all when we’d woken up together. In fact, it had seemed perfectly natural. We’d shared a quick breakfast of eggs that I’d scrambled up as though it were my kitchen and not his, and we’d parted with a soft kiss and a smile. I suddenly realized that I not only wanted to see Flynn again, but I wanted to meet Flynn’s son.
I tapped out a text. No time off until We
dnesday. Maybe we can take Cooper to the park that afternoon?
The answer came a few minutes later, just when I was beginning to worry.
Four o’clock? I’ll meet you there. Two blocks over from where I live. Across from Al’s Dry Cleaners.
Relief pouring over me, I confirmed. I’d use the club’s SUV. I was already planning dinner afterward and maybe something else fun for Cooper.
The next couple of days were going to drag, but it felt good to have something to look forward to. It had been a long time since I had.
CHAPTER NINE
Flynn
“Are you kidding me?” Gloria stared, dark eyes wide. “You had an ex here in the city—some guy you were in love with—and you kept it a secret from us?”
I took another drink of my coffee, fortifying myself, before answering. “You have to understand. The only way I could function was to pretend he didn’t exist.”
“Yeah, but we’re your best friends!”
Jessica shot a glare at her wife. “Lay off, Glo.”
Gloria crossed her arms over her ample chest and scowled, which would have looked fiercer without the fuzzy pink bathrobe and shiny silver beauty mask spread all over her face. I’d arrived early to pick up Cooper, feeling guilty about having left him there all night, and woke up Jess and evidently disturbed Gloria’s morning routine.
“I just thought we told each other everything, that’s all. I told you about my God-awful prom with the embarrassing clothing malfunction! I don’t tell just anyone that.”
I tried to look contrite and not laugh at the thought of Gloria dancing in the gym with her dress tucked up in her underwear and toilet paper stuck to her shoe, but I was still riding the high of waking up beside Matteo. I felt so good, and it felt so good to feel so good, I wouldn’t allow the level-headed part of me that kept knocking at my brain inside.
“I’m telling you now. Doesn’t that count for something?”
