After his makeup team, Lawrence, and Gaia fawned over him, Kao grabbed his hat and called his dancers into a circle. They bowed heads and held hands with him while he said some words.

“We’d like to thank the higher deities for this opportunity and ask that you watch over us and the wonderful audience. And to you my friends, lets go out there and have fun, first and foremost, okay? Be careful, stay focused, and smile, y’all. Ready, 1, 2, 3 Goooooo!” Kao finished and hugged all of them.

Once they left, Kao stepped next to Brody. He shook his arms out, then kissed one of his fists and rose it above his head. With the adrenaline running through him, he bounced like a prize fighter, preparing for his initial opponent. This was Kao’s moment, and he’d be damned if he allowed anyone to ruin this for him.

  “You ready?”

“I’m sure, the fuck, am. I’m pumped, Brody.” Kao took the jacket one of the assistants gave him and draped it over his shoulders. He tugged his black hat lower. “Ready to slay ‘em all.”

“All right. Be careful and don’t worry. We got everything secure.”

“I won’t.” Kao flipped his collar, then turned to face Brody. He had his head down, most likely trying not to look too hard at Kao. “Wanna escort me out there?”

Brody’s head snapped up. His eyes widening. “Um… I’m gonna walk you the side of the stage.”

“No, I want you to walk me out, but first, a kiss for good luck?”

“I’ll mess up your lipstick.” Brody said and looked away.

Kao smirked. “Don’t give a fuck. Kiss me, dammit.”

Brody sighed, then pecked him quickly on the lips.

  The people behind them snickered.

“Yeah, yeah, laugh, laugh. This is my man. Don’t look to hard, okay?” Surely, he embarrassed the hell out of Brody, but he didn’t care. Instead, Kao curled his arm around Brody’s bicep and began walking.

As they crossed the backstage area, Kao concentrated on the sounds.

The music blared from the speakers, but not loud enough to drown out the audience’s cheers.

By the venue being open air, smells of rain infiltrated Kao’s nostrils, but this concert would continue rain or shine.

When Kao got to the edge, he eyed Brody who wore a pensive look on his face. “Ready to take me out there?”

“You’re pushing it, Kao. Let’s just go.” Brody was about to walk.

“No, no. Gotta wait for my cue. At the end of this song, we’ll go.”

Brody blew out a ragged breath and straightened his tie. He plucked his shades from his pocket and slipped them on.

“It’s nighttime, babe. You don’t need shades.”

“I don’t need anyone taking note of who I am.”

“Oh, that’s gonna happen anyway,” Kao said with a laugh. He straightened his shoulders and listened for the last piano bit that would start his cue.

Finally, the last chord of the song had been hit.

  “Let’s go.”

Brody walked him out on stage.

Kao moved to the beat of his first single, feeling proud about what he’d accomplished. Hearing his name called, Kao stopped in the center of the stage that the dancers left open for him. He put his mic close to his mouth and hummed the first note, then flicked his coat from his shoulders.

Sensing Brody leave him, he cleared his throat and clasped his hands in front of him. He’d put Brody on the spot, but he enjoyed the reaction, nonetheless.

“All on my own… taking nothing for granted, including the opportunity to sing this song.” That was Kao’s ad lib. He spun around, then kicked his leg out, beginning to dance with everyone else.

The minute he started moving, the crowd went wild. He spun again, tapping along with the beat while he sang the first parts with ease. Naturally by Kao moving around, there was a shaking in his voice, but that didn’t bother him. In SK4, they would’ve played the music in the background to make it perfect, but not Kao. He wanted people to hear and feel the imperfections because to him that made it more real.

No disrespect to KPOP, but Kao had reached a new and different plateau in his career, ready to take over the world.

Only thing left to do was convince Brody to become part of his life for good.

After two encores of performing a couple of his favorite R&B hits, Kao was treated to cheers and chants from one end of the stadium to the other. Fans stood up, waving pictures, banners, and t-shirts with his name and face, while others jumped while calling his name.

Watching the adoration, Kao couldn’t help but get teary eyed. He covered his mouth and trembled, seeing all these people giving him love just as they did when he was in SK4. These were his true fans. The ones that wanted to see him succeed and not fail. He’d known they were out there all along. Here was the proof he needed right in front of him.

When Kao took his last bow, he waved his hands and ran off stage, not waiting for Brody to catch up. Tears and sweat on his face, he was too hyped to stop and talk with anyone. That wasn’t part of the agreement he and Brody made, but he didn’t care about breaking any rules. Kao didn’t want anyone to see him get overly emotional. Not on the first night when he was supposed to be nothing but smiles.

As Kao continued his mad dash through the hallway, he said a silent thanks to the deities for a successful show. Very few slipups from him and the dancers, made this show one of the best. He recalled as a member of SK4, he always got upset at making mistakes, but not anymore. Again, he relished in the opportunity to be real with his audience. They were only human. With more performances under their belt, they’d continue to get better.

“Kao!” Brody called after him. His footsteps got louder.

Kao didn’t stop. Huffing and still full of emotion, he bent down in front of his door and pressed the numeric code to unlock it. When he walked in, he immediately went to the dresser and grabbed his phone sending a quick message to Lawrence to thank people for him.

In Kao’s state of mind, he wished to be alone to think about this first night that went so well.

“Kao.” Brody called him as he walked in, visibly tired from running. “How the hell do you have that much energy after that performance.” Brody bent over and clutched his knees.

Kao snorted and fell on the floor, still breathing hard. “I had to get out of there. I needed to be alone.” He turned over on his side.

  “Why? Did you see something?”

“I just…” Kao wiped his face with the back of his hand. Soon the makeup team would come in and help him freshen up to meet his celebrity fans. Despite wishing to say something, Kao just couldn’t do it. He hated to disappoint them, but he didn’t have the energy or the desire to do anything.

“What is it?” Brody sounded as if he as closer.

When Kao shifted to his back, he looked up into Brody’s blue eyes, appreciating the handsome man in front of him. He smiled, still panting from his dash to the dressing room. “I’m ready to go back to the hotel.” He rose his arm towards Brody and waved his finger as he did yesterday. He was inviting Brody to join him on the floor. Perhaps kissing Brody would make him feel better.

  “Kao…”

“I need you, Brody. Need your lips right here.” Kao used his other hand to point to his mouth. He licked it for extra effect, hoping to tempt this man and make him think twice about resisting.

  “Kao, I —”

“Please?” Kao slapped Brody’s leg, then dragged his hand from Brody’s thigh to his ankle. “C’mon. I saw you looking at me several times during the show. Your expression said it all, babe. You wanna tear off my clothes and maul me. I saw it, Brody. Every moment you licked your lips or stared with your mouth wide open. I could tell how much you wished for me to be anywhere but on that stage.”

“Yeah, but… we can’t do anything here. Besides, you’ve got lots of important people here to see you.”

Kao dropped back and tried to catch his breath. “Is that why you ran after me?”

  “Part of
the reason, yeah. Damn Lawrence said your message sounded troubling. And you’re not supposed to leave that stage without me. We had an agreement remember?” Brody snapped.

“Uh huh. And?” Kao met Brody’s blue gaze, waiting for another answer. If Brody had nothing else to say, Kao might just hurt this man for being such a tease. Since that first encounter, they’d done little other than kiss and make out. Feeling fully aroused, Kao wanted to explore getting closer with Brody tonight.

  “Kao, can we not…”

“Just say it. I know you want me.” Kao got up slowly, making sure he rubbed against Brody. He looked up slightly, peering into his baby blues. Kao couldn’t wait to get lost in them while he pummeled this man into the mattress.

Brody’s mouth dropped open. The lump in his throat was very visible. He licked his lips. “I… yeah, I do. And yes, I ran after you because I was concerned. We’ll chat about that later. Right now, you got a group of anxious fans near the stage, so let’s go.” He offered his arm.

Kao smirked and accepted the invitation, not taking his eyes off Brody. “I don’t really wanna do this, but since these people requested to be here, I guess it’s important I make an appearance.”

“I’ll make sure to keep it short, all right?” Brody pulled on Kao.

Instead of walking with Brody, Kao stood his ground. He moved in close and wrapped his other arm around Brody’s neck.

  “Kao, please not…”

Kao didn’t allow Brody to finish the sentence. He covered Brody’s lips with his own, thrusting his togue inside Brody’s mouth. Tasting spearmint on his buds, he kept his hand on the back of Brody’s head, holding him there. No way would Brody not know what was on Kao’s mind tonight.

While their lips were still locked, Kao lost himself in the embrace, moving his arm from Brody’s bicep to his waist. He clutched Brody’s side through the shirt, transferring some of that heat to Brody.

“Kao… we… please.” Brody breathed heavily while curling his arms around Kao’s waist. He lifted him from his feet and cradled him close.

“Shit, baby.” Kao spoke into the kiss while he dragged his nails through Brody’s scalp. He moved back. “I wanna fuck you tonight. Gotta be in you. No excuses, okay? We get back to that hotel, we strip then fuck. Got me?”

Brody didn’t say a word. Only forced his lips back atop Kao’s. He gripped his buttocks through his leather pants and squeezed. “Promise me we’ll flip too.”

“Oh, you think you should top me?”

“I do. It’s only fair.” Brody smiled sweetly and sucked Kao’s bottom lip in between his teeth.

“Maybe, but, first.” Kao said, falling back into their liplock once again. “I gotta top you to make sure you know who’s in control.” Kao pressed his mouth atop Brody’s again. “Though I like to switch, my primary position is on top. Remember that.” Kao rubbed his crotch over Brody’s stomach, making himself harder if that were possible.

Too bad Kao had someone waiting for him or he’d show Brody his version of VIP access.

  Chapter Sixteen

  Brody couldn’t help himself.

Despite his subconscious reminding him how bad of an idea this was, the temptation was too much to bear. After their kiss in the dressing room coupled with Kao’s performance, Brody couldn’t control his desire. If he waited, his frustrations might get the best of him, doing more harm than good. He thought he could handle the pressure, but Kao was damn hard to ignore.

After meeting the fans, Brody and Kao rushed back to the hotel, not bothering to wait for Lawrence, Gaia, or the crew. They rode the elevator with clasped hands, both anticipating the mauling that would occur once they got behind closed doors. Too bad there were cameras inside, because Brody wouldn’t have continuing their embrace, but he didn’t want either of them to end up on the gossip pages. Last thing he needed was to be a part of a TMZ headline.

Once they got to the appropriate floor, Kao led Brody down the hallway to their room. He pressed the keycard against the sensor and pushed his way inside.

Brody followed, then leaned against the door, pulling Kao back with him. With his hands around Kao’s hips, Brody covered his mouth with his own, frantically attacking his lips. He sucked, bit, and thrust his tongue inside, making both breathless.

“Shit Brody.” Kao spoke between kisses while yanking Brody’s shirt from his shoulders. Without breaking concentration, he tossed it aside, then loosened his belt buckle.

“You work fast.” Brody managed, trying his best to breath. He was suffocating during this lip-lock, drowning in all the passion Kao was giving him. He couldn’t deny how much he wanted this man. No matter how stubborn and unreasonable he seemed, Kao was all Brody could want and more.

“I know what I want, when I want it.” Kao pecked him once more, then pushed his pants and underwear from his waist.

Brody wiggled out of his clothes and kicked his shoes off. While still staring at Kao, he tugged at Kao’s buttons and flaps until they gave way.

“Tear it off, baby. I’ve got more costumes.” Kao stared at Brody with his lips parted. He clasped Brody’s face in his hands, running his inked fingers over Brody’s cheeks and chin.

  “But someone made them.”

“Yes, and they make extras just in case there’s accidents. Don’t worry, okay? I pay them well.” Kao tore his shirt from his chest and threw it on the floor.

Brody inhaled a sharp breath. Kao’s chest shone with sweat. His tattoos were illuminated from the lights above. Despite seeing Kao’s gorgeous body several times before, there was something about how he looked after the show. So damn delicious, Brody wanted to eat him up.

“God you’re gorgeous.” Brody finished removing what was left of his outfit and lifted the man from his feet. He grasped him tightly and tangled tongues with him. As much as he wanted to be fucked, admittedly, he’d love to sink his dick inside Kao’s luscious ass. The one Brody had dreamed about for days, weeks. Hell just today he’d thought about hoe good he’d look bent over, taking him deep.

First things first, Brody promised he’d be the receiver. All that mattered was them being together, in bed, giving in to what they wanted most. What was on the other side, Brody had no clue, but he hoped it ended with them wanting something to build on.

With their mouths still locked, Brody carried his lover to the bed. He kissed him hard, then dropped him of his mattress, eyeing Kao.

“We’re about to fuck so I don’t mind being on your bed.”

“I didn’t think you would. We won’t be sleeping on it anyway.” Brody smiled and headed to the side table in between their beds.

“Who said anything about sleeping?” Kao joked.

Brody snorted and grabbed the condoms and lube. Those items had been teasing them both since the other night. Thank God they were finally using them.

  “Good goddamn you’re fine.”

Brody shook his head. “Thanks?” He’d never been with a man who flirted as much as Kao.

Kao took his cock in hand, rubbing his tattooed fingers over it. The tip of his shaft glistened with precum, making Brody want to take it down his throat, but he desired Kao in him first.

  “Wanna get me ready?”

“Don’t mind if I do.” Brody squeezed a sizeable amount of lube into his palm, he dropped to the floor. While looking up at him, Brody rubbed the slick over Kao’s length. He softly kissed the top and massaged his balls. Brody felt it firming under his touch, meaning his man was good and ready. He tore the condom open and rolled it on Kao.

“Shit, Brody. Oh fuck. I need you around me.” Kao pulled Brody up, then forced him backwards on the mattress. “I love that you like being controlled.”

“One of the many reasons I’m here.” Brody groaned while dragging his hand over Kao’s face. “Fuck me, Kao.”

“With pleasure, love. It’s all I’ve wanted to do.” Kao spoke between kisses and licks. He spread Brody’s legs, positioning himself there and pulling him closer. He grabbed the lube
and squeezed some on his dick while watching Brody.

Brody froze, observing his man, straddling him. “Just push it in… just… don’t worry, no prepping.” Brody said, full of emotion. He wished it to hurt a little because he liked pain with his pleasure. Sure, the lube would make it easier, but the slight discomfort would make things better.

“Damn, that makes me hot.” Kao kissed him again, sucking Brody’s bottom lip. He lightly bit down, while he clasped Brody’s face in one of his palms. “Brody, do you know how hot you make me? How much I’ve thought about your ass taking me in to the hilt? Can you take all of me, love?” Kao continued his dirty talk while he pressed inside of Brody. “We’ll go slow, okay? I got to so I can relish in this.” Kao exhaled and closed his eyes a moment, then covered Brody’s lips with his again.

Brody sucked in a breath and groaned into their embrace. Kao hadn’t pushed all the way in, but he sensed himself, already getting lost in the feeling. He moved one hand from the bed to Kao’s back, clutching it under his fingers while he dug his other hand into the mattress. He lay still, clenching his thighs together, fully enjoying Kao sliding into him.

“Fuck Brody.” Kao lifted slightly and thrust in further.

“Kao. Dammit, stop teasing.” Brody yelled. His breaths caught in his chest. Sparks skittered over Brody’s skin, igniting a flame that wouldn’t be extinguished until Kao put it out.

Kao did as asked and faced Brody. His hair was stuck to his forehead. Lips lips were swollen from their kiss. “Oh damn, Brody. You feel amazing. I…” Kao started to move and grasped Brody’s throat. He applied gentle pressure with his tattooed fingers, making Brody lose his focus.

“Kao. Oh God, harder baby.” Brody clutched Kao’s waist and clawed his sides. He watched his man above him, drilling his ass with everything he had. How did this man still have strength after all he’d put into his performance? Wherever he got it from, Brody couldn’t help but be impressed.

When Kao said he was a champ in bed, he meant it.

“Move with me, Brody.” Kao spoke to him, still eyeing Brody like a hawk. His brown eyes almost glowed from the moon’s lights coming through the window. He was so beautiful biting his bottom lip, face filled with aggression. He was a true top, that knew how to get what he wanted.
