A Merciless Year One

But angels didn’t need to breathe, so my instinctive panic died into a natural feeling of passion and surrender. When Yeqon lifted my legs and practically bent me in half, I accepted that too. I was at their mercy and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Yeqon came first. His cock pulsed inside me as he pumped me full of hot cum, and I felt an echoing surge of his magic pool into me, all the way into my core. If Sariel hadn’t been there, blocking the way, that alone would have been enough to make me climax. Instead, I felt his power crashing against the barrier Sariel had erected, and I let out a sob of frustrated desire around Azazel’s cock. It certainly didn’t help that, despite having come, Yeqon didn’t slide out of me. He was still hard and now moving a little more slowly, as if approaching the assault on my senses from a different angle.

“Problem, love?” Sariel asked, tracing cold patterns on my skin. “Don’t tell me you’re ready to give up.”

I couldn’t answer him. My mouth was a little too busy being fucked and even before, I’d been unable to speak. But a part of me still remained defiant, so through some kind of superhuman effort, I managed to twitch a wing and slap him in the side.

Sariel’s eyes widened. “Oh… Look at that. You still have fire. We need to work harder.”

Azazel pulled his cock out of my mouth and moved back. Still staring at my prone form, he jacked himself off. When he came, streams of semen painted my face, my hair, even my chest and abdomen. Everywhere his spunk landed, my skin felt burnt, oversensitized, but somehow, not in pain.

“I’ll be happy to help,” he drawled. “Besides, I wouldn’t want anyone to claim we’re not generous lovers. I have to pay her back for a great blowjob.”

Yeqon slid out of me and tugged on my wing, as if giving me a warning. “Be good, sweetheart. Remember, you belong to us. Every part of you.”

As Yeqon spoke, Sariel pulled me into his lap, his cock already nudging my anus. Azazel spread my legs and licked his lips. “Look at you, princess. This sweet cunt was meant to be fucked.”

I could only imagine what kind of picture I made when I was like this. I felt sore and stretched after being pounded into by Azazel and Sariel. Yeqon’s semen was still seeping out of me. And I was still so fucking aroused it hurt.

Azazel swept his thumb over my swollen clit and a jolt of power echoed into me like an electric shock. My whole body convulsed at his touch, and for a few seconds, I could’ve sworn I’d come, even if Sariel’s power didn’t allow it.

And then, Sariel slid his cock into my ass and my world cracked. I was torn between conflicting, contrasting sensations. As Sariel moved in and out of my ass, a delicious pleasure-pain crackled over me. Because of my position, I was lying with my back against his chest and he had complete access to my extended wings. Energy rushed over my spine and from there, to every part of my body.

Azazel decided this was the best moment to fulfill his promise. He buried his face between my legs and started sucking on my clit, all the while thrusting his fingers into my needy pussy. I didn’t know what aroused me more, the simple sensations, or the realization that he was also lapping up Yeqon’s semen.

I was reaching a point where I was losing my hold on sanity. I wanted them to let me go. I wanted them to fuck me forever. It hurt. It felt so good. I was on fire. I was so cold.

In the end, it was Yeqon who gave me the reprieve I needed. He brushed his lips over mine in a chaste peck. “Go on, Delilah. Go ahead and come.”

Just like that, Sariel’s hold over me loosened, unfurling like a blooming flower. Maybe under different circumstances I’d have allowed it and reveled in the slow unfolding of his power. But my body had simply run out of patience. Once I was free—at least a little—I screamed and fell over the edge.

The climax that erupted over me was nothing short of brutal. With a grunt, Sariel came inside me, filling me with his seed, and our combined pleasure dragged Azazel and Yeqon along. The sheer intensity of the moment crushed my consciousness, and I lost all notion of who and what I was. The final threads of my strength vanished and I drifted into a state of strange limbo I couldn’t recognize.

I’d asked to be torn apart and rebuilt anew, and at that moment, it definitely felt like my lovers had achieved their goal. My mind hovered between heaven and hell, between passion and uncertainty, between power and weakness. But my heart knew the path it needed to follow and the magic rushing through me guided me every step of the way.

It was both demonic and divine, just like my lovers, just like I’d known it would be. I was okay with that, just like I had decided. Actually, I was more than okay with it. I embraced it and it throbbed and pulsed through me, turning me into a creature of visceral, carnal pleasure.

It couldn’t last. All too soon, I felt something tug at my core, and I knew I had to return to reality. I would have likely resisted a little more had I not sensed them waiting for me.

When I opened my eyes again, I was lying on the bed once more, with my lovers hovering over me. Their sensual intensity had faded into honest, affectionate concern. “Are you okay, sweetheart?” Yeqon asked. “We didn’t go too far, did we?”

“What kind of question is that?” I teased him. “You know you didn’t, and even if you had, I’d have enjoyed every moment of it.”

It was an echo of what he’d told me earlier and it reassured them, just like I’d known it would. The lines of mild tension on their faces vanished into smooth, warm smiles. “So did we,” Azazel said. “Thank you for trusting us.”

“Of course I trust you,” I shot back. “Didn’t I already make that clear? The four of us aren’t so different.”

Sariel shot me a surprised look, as if he didn’t know what to think of that. “You think so? We are half-demon. Sort of.”

I shrugged, disregarding the detail. “It still counts.”

“If you say so, princess,” Azazel replied.

There was something in his voice that made me a little wary, but I was too tired to analyze it now. Tiny shocks of power still crackled through my body, and my wings were glowing more brightly than they ever had. “Let’s just get some rest,” I told them. “Tomorrow is another day. Right?”

“Exactly,” Sariel said, pleased with my conclusion.

As they all curled around me, I closed my eyes and relaxed. Time had little meaning for angels, but physical pleasure and emotion weren’t supposed to matter, either.

Maybe, in some things, we could just be exceptions. Maybe, if I became a guardian angel, I could follow my own path to it.

After all, the Grim Reaper and Morrigan had said my human heart was important for my task. Even if I doubted everything, that, at least, I could believe.

  Epilogue

Somewhere in The Celestial Realm, an archangel slumbered. There were few things in the world that could harm him, but unfortunately for him, he’d stumbled into one of them—a furious, possessive Lucifer.

He’d faced off against his brother knowing there was a good chance he’d lose. Lucifer always tended to win their battles, although half the time, it had been because Michael had lacked the drive to truly end his misguided sibling’s existence.

Or maybe not. Even when he had genuinely tried, he’d failed, so maybe he was just doomed to always lose when facing Lucifer.

In his sleep, Michael twitched, a glowing tear sliding down his cheek. If only he’d won, just this once, his family might have stood a chance. But he hadn’t, and now, The Infernal Realm had claimed his son’s soul.

He’d made a mistake when he’d turned to the aid of his former lover, but he’d thought that maybe she could help him save their son. He could see what was coming so clearly. It frustrated him that everyone else could not, or had refused to do anything about it. Fara had been the only one willing to help him. But her aid always came with a price, and dealing with The Shadow Realm had almost damned Michael’s soul altogether.

“Don’t be so dour,” the familiar voice of The Supreme Being said in Michael’s min
d. “I wouldn’t leave you to Lucifer’s clutches. As much as I care about that boy, I know that losing you would only end in disaster.”

“Then what would you have me do? Should I just resign myself to losing everything?”

“I didn’t say that,” The Supreme Being replied. “I would never take your feelings from you.”

  “Why not?”

It was an honest question. Technically speaking, celestial creatures weren’t supposed to experience deep emotions, not beyond the devotion they held to The Supreme Being’s will. Their purpose was to enforce the rules of The Celestial Realm. Their concept of love was nothing like that of a human or a demon, because that kind of emotion was a distraction and a source of corruption.

That was why things had gone so badly for Shamsiel and Uriel. And that was why Michael was an exception. The Supreme Being knew about his son—everyone in The Celestial Realm did—but he’d never been reprimanded about his genuine feelings of affection toward Mikael. His relationship with Fara had fallen apart quickly, but his son… His son was different.

“I love all my children,” The Supreme Being said, “even the ones I have to let go. They don’t always understand my wishes and that is a burden I must bear, just like I bear the burden of the world’s balance. But that doesn’t mean I will wipe away your sense of self and your memory of your son. Now, stop sulking and come back.”

Michael might have resisted. The Supreme Being had yet to force matters and he wasn’t sure he had the strength to face The Heavenly Host again.

But that was when he felt it, the outburst of profound power that reached into the very core of his being.

His eyes shot open and he gasped. “What was that?”

The Supreme Being wasn’t in the room with him, but Michael hadn’t expected him to be. His creator was always everywhere and nowhere. And like he always did, he replied to Michael’s question in Michael’s mind. “That, Michael, is the chosen savior of mankind. She could be the answer to all your prayers, or the reason for your destruction.”

“Well, that sounds ominous,” Michael grumbled.

The Supreme Being chuckled. “Get up, my general. I need you to go to Watcher Academy. I need you to show Delilah St. John what she truly has to be.”

The echoes of that strange magic flashed through Michael, so potent they were almost suffocating. Michael had felt it before. In fact, he’d felt something very similar when his brother’s blade had taken his head off his shoulders.

He didn’t ask The Supreme Being if he was sure about this. The Supreme Being was always sure. Instead, he sighed and got up.

His wings spread out behind him, wide, translucent, emanating celestial magic. There was no sign of the fact that he’d recently made a deal with a demonic symbiote to save his son.

He wished it had reassured him. It didn’t. It just made him feel more of a liar than everyone in The Infernal Realm combined.

His target’s name echoed through his mind again. Delilah St. John. Could she indeed be the answer, like The Supreme Being had said? Michael didn’t know, but he was almost afraid to find out.
