In Her Bears' Arms

“I’ll enjoy giving back as much torment as you give me.” She cupped the back of his head.
“Um, that will be delicious.” He scraped his teeth over her belly. Maybe a little torturous, too, but that’s why he’d savor every moan and twist now.
“You won’t think that when I’m nipping, nibbling, and rubbing all over you.” She tugged at his hair.
“Honeybear, whenever I get your hands or mouth on me, it’s a heady experience.” He rubbed his hand up and down her back, but swiped his tongue over the dollop. On to the next, before she became too involved. Letting her come would be sweet to see, but a pure form of torture.
He wound his way to the next puffy mound of whipped cream. He flicked at it, taking just a taste of the creamy, sweet stuff. She wriggled and lifted into the touch. That’s it. That’s the way he needed her to respond. Hot and on fire as if she would burst into flames in moments.
He nipped at her belly and scraped his teeth over the plane before easing back to the splotch of white on her skin and lapping at it. After gathering all the cream, he kissed his way up to the one remaining peak of topping covering the tip of her breast.
He lapped at the foam-covered nipple. She moaned and lifted against him. Yes, almost time. He raised his head and rolled over onto his back.
She took a deep breath and levered up. Her eyes glittered with heat. She grabbed the can and shook it. A small smile curved her lips. A thrill coursed through him. That was not a friendly expression. She definitely had her own plans. She squirted the cream on his nipples and trailed it down his belly. Her hand hovered over him. Would she squirt some on his cock? She lowered the can and dropped it to the bed. Her body trembled with excitement. Not too much longer. She’d probably attack him during his next turn if she didn’t drive him over the edge.
“Now, it’s my turn, and I’m going to give you a taste of the torment you gave me.” She drew her hands down his arms. Her nails lightly scored.
The aroma of sweet delicious cream teased him. Her honeyed deliciousness, not the dessert topping. Fuck, if he wasn’t so far along, he’d push between her thighs and lick at her until she cried out. It would take a few strokes to send her over. But he’d lose control without much encouragement, as well.
She leaned down and drew her tongue over his ribs. She scraped her tongue over the flesh. Sparking tingles raced over his skin. He tensed and grabbed her shoulders.
She laughed. She kissed his stomach and licked up to the line of whipped topping. She barely touched the line of white, sweet stuff. Heat swept up his body. He clenched his hands. Can’t just make her come. He’d had his turn. Now, it was hers.
“I’ll get to the stuff down here in a few moments. I think I want to taste and lick here first.” She nipped the skin above his nipple.
She lapped her way up to his chest, leaving a trail of the topping on his stomach. He drew in a slow breath. Had to get some control, before he lost it. If at all possible, she had to reach the end of her tether first.
She closed her lips around the dollop of whipped cream and the nub beneath it. The warmth of her mouth flared over his skin like a hot brand. He drew his palm over her back. She sucked before drawing back and running her tongue over the stiffened nub. A steady throb of hunger pulsed through him. He growled.
She raised her head. “Do you like that? How about I try something different on the other?”
Her teeth scraped over the stiff bud. He gritted his teeth, but his muscles tensed. The woman pushed him with the teasing. He tightened his hand, tugging her closer. She nipped. A sharp sting ricocheted through him.
She pulled back. “Do you want me?”
He groaned. “Yes.”
“Well, this time, I’ll take you.” She rose to her knees and swung one over his hips.
Finally. He grasped her hips. His pulse raced. He couldn’t have resisted much longer. She lifted, reaching between them and grasping his cock. The heat from her grip severed the last threads of his control. She slowly sank down. Her inner muscles gripped his shaft. He took long deep breaths. So good. She lowered until her pelvis pressed against his.
She swatted at his hands. “No controlling. This is mine.”
He lowered his hands. It probably wouldn’t last. He wouldn’t be able to resist the urge to touch and guide her movements. For now, she had control.
She rose up over him and pressed her hands to his chest. The warmth spread through him. She rocked down into him, taking his cock deep again. He cupped her breasts and plucked at the peaks. She moaned and slammed down onto him. He caught his breath.
“I could flick this little clit here and give you a little nudge. I know you’re desperate for release.” He smoothed his hand down her stomach.
“Not yet.” She shook her head. “It won’t be needed.”
“I’ll be ready.” He trailed his fingers over her hip.
She lifted her hips and slammed down on him. “You don’t know what it did to me to feel your mouth on me.”
He gasped and tensed. Probably the same thing it had done to him. Echoes from the warmth of her mouth still peeled over his skin. She rose on him again. Her inner muscles tightened around him as if to hold on to his cock. A raging hunger pulsed through him. She had to come.
“Ride me.” He gripped her hips. “Faster.”
She lifted once again. He slipped his hand between them and nudged her clit. She gasped and her body jerked downward. The tight glove sheathing him contracted. His body clenched, and the electric surge nearly sent him over. He gritted his teeth.
“Damn, let me ride you a little more.” She grabbed for his hand.
“No, you’ll make me come before you do. Not happening.” He flicked her clit.
She ground down on him. Her breath hitched, and she moaned. She leaned close, her mouth swept over his. Her sweet honey taste flowed into him.
She levered up, her pussy rising until it clenched around the tip of his cock. He pulled her back down onto him as he thrust upward. She gasped. Her teeth scraped over his lips. His balls pulled tight, and the keen edge of hunger tore at him. She had to come soon.
He rubbed his finger in circles on her clit. She groaned. Tremors shook her body. He rocked up into her. Her pussy rippled over his cock. Up and down. He pumped into her. She slammed down on him. He came. A raging bolt slammed through him, and a wash of intense pleasure swept through his body. He shook and pulled her tighter.
Every time with her was so intense. He took a deep breath. They had to catch this attacker and in the meantime, hopefully, keep her safe.
Chapter Nineteen
The doorbell rang. Dixie’s stomach churned. A meeting with John. Normally, not a bad thing, but this would probably be frustrating. If they were lucky, maybe John would discover something from what they said.
Micah walked to get it. Micah, Gable, and Maddox had agreed to another interview about their lives before they’d come here. Not that they seemed hopeful about discovering any answers today. They had no idea who would come after them.
Dixie rubbed her palms on her pants. Maybe she should leave them to talk in private, but the mystery of it all nagged at her. On top of that, she was involved now, too.
Micah strolled back into the living room, and John followed. She clasped her hands in her lap and bit her lip. Should she say something?
“Is something wrong?” Gable asked.
“Did you want me to go do something while you talk to John? I know you’ll talk about your life in Connison, but I wasn’t really part of that.” She put her hand on his leg. It all happened before they even met.
“Honeybear, there’s nothing we have to say that you shouldn’t hear. On top of that, you’re part of us. You should be here.” Gable wrapped his arm around her.
“Hell, you’re in danger because of us. If anyone deserves an answer, it’s you.” Maddox shook his head.
“I’m not in danger because of you. Yes, someone came after me, but we’re still not sure that’s related. Ev
en if it was, it’s not because of you. It’s the fault of whichever fuckhead targeted you.” She rolled her eyes. Male bears. He did not need to feel guilty about that. “You cannot control the actions of others, and you’re not responsible for those actions.”
“Good advice,” John said. “Now, let’s get started with this, because it could be a while before we get through everything. I know you were interviewed in Connison and it was a thorough one, but since you’ve had time to think and go over things in your mind, something new might have occurred to you.”
“If it had, we would have told you.” Micah shook his head and sank down on the end of the couch.
“If you’d seen it as some big revelation maybe, but it might not have come as that. That’s why I want to go over everything with you again.” John settled back in a big black chair and pulled out his tablet. He swiped his finger over it, activating the screen.
“Sure, but I don’t think you’ll find anything new here. Nothing’s changed, and I don’t think I’ve had any minor revelations.” Maddox drew Dixie a little closer to him.
“Well, if we don’t, the only thing wasted is time.” John lifted a shoulder. “All right, we’ll start with you, Doc. Tell me about any problems with your practice in Connison or any threats you’ve received.”
“As I told the officer there, there wasn’t anything serious. Certainly no threats. Yes, there were some disputes. I had to sue a company I purchased my computer equipment and software through. They didn’t do what their contract stated, and the software frankly didn’t work even up to minimum specs. I fired a couple people, and there were a few disciplinary reports I filed. I reported a nurse at the hospital in Connison. It was all normal business and medical practice.” Micah waved his hand.
“Anything personal? Any relationships go sour or women in your life who made a scene when you broke it off?” John tilted his head.
“To be honest, we’ve searched for our mate for some time now. We haven’t dated like you’re talking about in years.” Micah grimaced. “No serious relationships. Mainly, we found a woman to have sex with.”
“Actually, I understand. Did any of the women you spent time with become clingy or call repeatedly? Especially if it was meant to be a one-night stand.” John leaned forward.
“No, they knew it was one night, and most of them were more than happy about it. I can think of only one time when we encountered one of our one-night stands again. She didn’t have our number or know where we lived. She was in one of the bars we went to and made a scene, but that was at least half a year before things started happening. Hell, I couldn’t even tell you her name.” Micah grimaced.
Dixie sighed. The man-whore virus had apparently spread far beyond Casworth.
“All right, we’ll come back to that a little later. How about patients mad about the way you treated them or deaths they blamed you for?” John waved his hand.
“Look. I’m not a surgeon or in a field where my patients are deathly ill. If they’re sick with anything bad like cancer or chronic diseases, they generally go to specialists. If they’re badly injured, they see trauma specialists.” Micah sighed. “Only a few of my patients have died under my care. They were either very sick for a while or had a tragic accident that led to their deaths.”
“And none of the families blamed you?” John tilted his head.
“Nothing like that has happened. And since I dealt with whole families while I was there, I’m sure I’d know.” Micah lifted a shoulder.
“All right, let’s move on to you, Maddox. The officer who took your statement made a couple of notes about one of your employees. He felt that there might be a possibility that the man might hold a grudge against you.” John turned to Maddox.
“Yeah, the man really pressed on that issue when it wasn’t an issue at all.” Maddox rubbed his hand up and down her back.
“Well, why don’t you tell me about the man and let me decide what is an issue?” John leaned back.
Maddox waved his hand. “I had an employee at my shop who was an ex-convict. The officer really focused on that fact. It wasn’t an issue between him and me.”
“So why did the officer lock on the ex-convict?” John raised a brow.
“Because he was an ex-con and I let him go.” Maddox sighed.
“Well, I can understand the officer thinking someone might hold a grudge for being fired.” John chuckled.
“But you’ve got it wrong, just as he did. The officer thought that just because he was an ex-con and because he left the shop that he would hold a grudge. That wasn’t the case at all.” Maddox exhaled heavily. “Sometimes things aren’t what they seem.”
John shifted in his seat. “Then explain it to me. How are things not what they seem in this situation?”
“The ex-con, he didn’t leave because of anything he did. He wasn’t fired, in the normal way I fire people. In my last location, he was exposed to some of his old crew. His parole officer was very strict and kept a close watch on him. Kevin was concerned that he’d be violated because of that. I had a friend at another dealership, and they gave Kevin a job there.” Maddox lifted a shoulder.
“And you told the officer this?” John frowned.
“Yes, I did. He wasn’t very interested in my opinion about Kevin or the fact that Kevin was happy in his new job and had no reason to be unhappy about the change.” Maddox shrugged.
Sounded like a frustrating interview. Dixie might have walked out of it.
“Well, what about your clients? Do you feel that any of them were dangerous in any way? Were there any threats?” John scribbled on the pad.
“No threats. Hell, no really unhappy customers lately. We sell motorcycles, and most people are looking for their dream ride. When they get it, they’re happy. It’s a great day for them.” Maddox lifted his shoulder.
“Anyone have a problem with one of your rides?” John clasped his hands together. “Or maybe someone wasn’t happy with the repairs done on their bike. Maybe they thought the bill was too high for what you did.”
“There’s always someone who’ll complain about the repair bill. I’ve never had anyone come after me because of one though. Not even anything beyond some raised voices. They pay. They leave and cool down. Honestly, I can’t remember anyone who’s done that in a while.” Maddox leaned closer to her. “I wish I could think of anyone out of the ordinary or that angry.”
“Any angry boyfriends of women you’ve approached?” John exhaled. “Anyone you might suspect of holding a grudge. No matter how small or petty. There has to be something. No one goes through life without pissing off someone.”
“No angry boyfriends. We didn’t get involved with women in a relationship.” Maddox ran a hand over the back of his neck. “I’m sure there were some people ticked off by us. But to attack us in one town and then follow us to another is a completely different matter.”
“Hell, if you want to get into the petty shit, there’s a guy who was pissed over losing a bet. We haven’t lived the life of saints.” Micah shook his head. “If it’s something that small, it could be anyone.”
“Well, it could be small, but it wouldn’t be small to whoever’s behind this.” John tapped on the tablet screen. “Now, Gable, let’s get to you.”
“What do you want to know? We told everything to the other officer.” Gable grasped Dixie’s hand.
Dixie tightened her fingers around his. This must frustrate the hell out of them.
“I know you did, and I’m sure the officer asked all the questions he had, but I don’t see much about your work or any of your clients.” John looked over at him.
“That’s mainly because as I told him, no one really knows why I’m there while I’m there. And the only way they’d learn is if there’s a prosecution and I have to testify.” Gable tapped the fingers of his free hand on his thigh.
“So who’s been prosecuted lately or in the past? It might be someone who just got out of jail.” John narrowed his eyes.
“
I’d have to go through my files, but within the last year, I’d say six were prosecuted. There were a few that the companies didn’t want to go to the bother or the bad publicity of a trial.” Gable’s jaw worked. “Files earlier than last year will take a while.”
“How many of those went to jail?” John frowned.
“All six. Sentences varied, because one or two did plead out.” Gable lifted a shoulder.
“We’ll have to get those names and if you can, get the names of others in the past, because jail time and even losing a job could be enough to make someone come after you.” John made a couple notes on his tablet.
“I’ll go through my records and get the ones who went to trial within the last year. I’ll have my secretary find the ones that are further back and send them to you. The ones who were just fired will take a little longer. The list is longer.” Gable frowned.
“Have any of you been in any accidents? Any kind of incident where you might have pissed someone off?” John asked.
“No, we haven’t had any car accidents or incidents, not even a fist fight at a bar in a while.” Micah waved his hand. “That is something we’d have mentioned because it would be an obvious reason someone would come after us. Nothing like that has happened.”
“Anyone in your family involved in an accident? Although it’s a long shot, perhaps this isn’t about you. Has someone in your family been in a relationship that ended badly?” John leaned forward.
“I’d have to check with my sisters. Sometimes, they don’t tell me. They don’t want me acting like an overprotective brother and getting involved.” Maddox grimaced. “But wouldn’t some of the attacks be aimed at them?”
“It’s an avenue I’d like to keep open, but it’s probably a long shot.” John lifted a shoulder.
“I haven’t heard anything from my family.” Micah shook his head. “I’ll call and ask. I’ll tell you if I learn anything.”
“Same here. I’ll have to call and ask. They haven’t said anything, but then again, they might be trying to shield me because of everything else that’s happening now.” Gable shook his head.
