A cold smile pulled at the corners of my lips as focus grounded me. I locked my eyes on Aster. Energy swelled from my chest through my body until I felt like I could face anything and emerge victorious. We had lost one battle, but we would never lose another. Not on my watch.

Lili’s voice has lived in the back of my head since late 2016. I tried to ignore her. I didn’t trust myself to do her story justice. I wrote horror stories and thrillers to satisfy my love for writing, but Lili’s voice never went away.
One night before bed, my six-year-old asked me to tell her a story about angels. She had discovered the term “guardian angel” earlier in the afternoon and wanted to learn as much about them as she could. She asked what would happen to an angel stuck on Earth.
Lili’s voice immediately returned to me, this time with Remiel. I knew it was time to tell their story. I never anticipated it spanning so many books, but the more I got to know Lili, the more the story grew. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

About the Author
Kyra Quinn spends most of her time in make-believe worlds with her imaginary friends. She is an emerging author of dark fantasy and speculative fiction.
