They scrambled for the vehicle they’d arrived in, all of them jumping in quickly. Zohar nodded to Danko. “Ensure they leave our land and don’t return, and get rid of that rubbish.”

“Certainly, Alpha.” Danko gave him a two-finger salute, motioning for two of his men to join him and ordering another to remove Saul’s corpse.

Turning on his heel he found Maisy right at his back, her green eyes searching his face as she asked quietly, “Are you all right? You’re hurt, Zohar.”

He swiped at the small injury on his face. “It’s nothing, I’ll heal soon.”

“I think we should go inside so I can bathe it.”

She had a glint in her eyes, and a cheeky smirk on her face as she spoke. Zohar nodded. “As you wish.” He addressed Gwenola. “Don’t let this spoil the party, carry on, and we’ll see you later.”

Gwenola laughed, shaking her head. “I’m sure we can have a party without you, Alpha. Why don’t you two go and rest.”

Maisy’s face blushed scarlet as Zohar chuckled, grabbing her hand and tugging her toward their new home. “Thank you, Gwenola. I think we will.”

As soon as the door closed behind them, Zohar pulled Maisy into his arms, his hands falling to cup her ass. “You look so damn good; I think I’ll have to eat you.”

Maisy’s hands were caught between them, on his chest where her fingers caressed his skin. “Oh, the big bad Wolf is threatening me, huh?”

“That’s not a threat, Ангел, it’s a damn promise,” Zohar replied, his voice thick with desire. “My tongue is going to be inside you and lick every inch of your pussy until you scream for release. Or my cock, whichever comes first.”

“Zohar!” Maisy’s eyes widened, her pupils dilating. “That’s . . . damn, I was trying for indignation but hell, that’s just hot.”

Zohar laughed, leaning down to kiss the tip of her nose. “Why don’t we go and see what sort of damage we can do to our new bed?”

She giggled as he picked her up, her legs not quite long enough to wrap around him as he held her ass with one hand, and the other wound about her back so his fingers played with her breast. His long legs striding up the stairs and down the hallway to the bedroom at the end. He kicked open the door and used an elbow to switch the light on . . . and stopped dead.

“Wow.” Maisy gasped when she saw the massive four-poster bed that sat in the middle of the room. “That’s some bed. It’s amazing. Is it hand-carved? That looks like Wolves . . . take me closer, Zohar. Let me see.”

He took her over, his own eyes scrutinizing the bed, or rather . . . the work of art that was their bed. Where Danko had got his hands on the piece he had no idea but it was magnificent. It was carved with such detail that he could make out the single strands of fur on the Wolves that were adorning the posts, and the feathers of the birds that sat on the branches of the trees. The work was exquisitely beautiful and for once, he was speechless.

“Zohar.” Maisy reached up, tugging on his hair. “This is amazing. It’s just so intricate but, and forgive me for saying this, it looks sturdy too. I think it will stand up to quite a lot of your . . . how do I say this . . .” and then she just burst into a fit of giggles.

Zohar lowered his lips to hers, stifling her laughter with a scorching kiss before pulling back. “I know what you mean, Maisy. I think I’m about to put this magnificent piece of art to the test.”

He placed his mate on the edge of the bed, undressing her quickly, desperate to show her how much he loved her and craved her body. He would never get enough of her, of her skin, her breasts, her nipples that tasted so fucking good and made her moan every time he touched them. When he sucked them inside his mouth, teased them with his teeth, her resulting moans sent a fire to his groin that blazed like an inferno deep inside him. Only being buried deep inside his mate, filling her completely, bringing her to the brink of glorious abandoned pleasure could put the fire out when his seed emptied inside her warm wet depths.

That’s what he craved right now and he’d bring her to the brink of ecstasy again and again before succumbing to his own desires.

Her head fell back as he displayed her on the soft comforter, opening her thighs to dip his head and flick his tongue along her warm folds. Her hips jerking as his fingers splayed across the top of her thighs, two fingers circling her clit as he dipped his tongue inside. His thick thumbs joining his mouth, spreading her wide, then sliding in and out, fucking her with his mouth and fingers.

Maisy’s head lurched from side to side, her moans growing louder until she finally reached for his hair, yanking on it hard. “Zohar! I need you.”

Smirking he looked up, locking eyes with her and raised an eyebrow. “What?” he mumbled, keeping his mouth exactly where it was.

“Please! I need you, inside me, now!”

Zohar allowed himself the pleasure of one last, long, taste before sliding up over her, taking the time to nibble on her breasts as he went. Her fingers tangled roughly in his hair, urging him upwards, her voice raspy as she groaned.

“Zohar! Stop dawdling or I’m gonna scream!”

“Scream all you want.” Zohar laughed as he finally arrived at her lips. His hands landing either side of her head, his body towering over hers, his rock-hard cock teasing her entrance. Staring into her dark green eyes, he gazed at her beauty, once again thanking the Goddess for sending his Sunshine to him. “You’re so fucking gorgeous, Люблю тебя всем сердцем, всей душою.”

Maisy nibbled her lip, frowning. “I don’t recognize that. What does it mean?”

Zohar leaned down, pressing soft kisses along her jaw. “I love you with all my heart, with all my soul. It’s the truth, Maisy, and I’ll always love you. Forever, from now until eternity, my sweet sunshine.”

Maisy let out a small sob, her hand cupping his stubbled cheek. “I love you too, my fierce warrior. Always. But you need to fuck me right now!”

“Anything for you,” Zohar answered, thrusting inside her warmth as he dropped his lips to claim her mouth in a searing kiss full of passion and love.

The rest of the night was spent with him showering her with his love, his desire, his hunger for her body, heart and soul.

Maisy walked slowly around the edge of the camp, her long blonde hair billowing out behind her as a soft breeze blew. She raised a hand to wave to Jacinthe and Florine who were on their way to take up their sentry duties.

Zohar forced himself to stay where he was, although the urge to go to his mate ran fiercely through him, he knew she’d be annoyed if he did. Instead he sat on the porch and pretended he wasn’t feeling like he was sitting on a razor-sharp knife edge.

Danko handed him a beer, or rather, he threw one on his lap. “Have a drink and try and calm down.”

Zohar threw his Beta a filthy look, but grabbed the offered drink. “How can I stay calm? She’s walking around as if nothing’s happening, and we know that’s not the case.”

“If that’s how she wants to do things then you should allow her these last few moments, my friend. After today everything changes. You know and so does she. So, sit back and let her wander around as if she doesn’t have a care in the world.”

“I can fucking feel her pain, Danko!” Zohar hissed. “How can I sit here and pretend I don’t?”

“Suck it up.” Danko laughed back. “She’s more than a match for you. Haven’t you learned that this past year? She’ll have your balls if you start making a fuss before she wants you to.”

“Fuck!” Zohar drank the beer down in one go, crushing the can as if it were nothing more than paper and tossing it in the trash can. “Where’s Gwenola?”

Danko nodded off to their right. “She’s there, ready and waiting with Katel.”

Zohar’s eyes returned to Maisy who had started to make her way toward them, her face now white and strained. “I can’t sit here any longer. Look at her. This is too much to ask of anyone, far less a mate.”

Danko’s hand shot out, grabbing Z
ohar’s arm. “Don’t do it, buddy. She’ll be angry if you do.”

“I don’t care,” Zohar snarled. “I’ll face her anger. Fuck, I’ll face the Devil himself rather than sit and watch my mate suffer.”

At that moment Maisy’s eyes locked with his, a soft moan escaping her throat a second before she whispered, “Zohar, darling, I need you now.”

His enhanced ears picking up her words as if she’d shouted her plea. In an instant, he was on his feet, stampeding toward her. He reached her in seconds, scooping her up into his arms, careful not to jar her swollen belly. “Maisy, why did you do that? You’ve been having contractions for a while now, so why did you think it was a good idea to go for a walk around the camp?”

She grimaced as she reached up, stroking his face. “I just wanted to have one last look at everything, everyone, as just me. As Maisy, not as a mother. From now on everything will be different, I’ll be different, we’ll be different, and I wanted to sear this moment in my memory. But now I need you to take me inside because our son is being rather insistent. He wants to meet us, Zohar, he wants to meet his mommy and daddy. So, you better get Gwenola and Katel.”

Zohar looked over his shoulder, roaring for the new Pack Healer. “Katel! We need you, now!”

Gwenola and Katel rushed toward their cabin as Zohar carried his precious cargo inside. His beautiful mate whispering, “Darling, we’re going to be parents.”

“I know, my love, I know.”

His heart filled with a love so immense he wondered how it could fit inside him as he walked toward his future. One filled with a mate he adored, a son he’d cherish, and a life he’d once thought he never deserved. Oh, how wrong he’d been.

Even he, the dark Enforcer could be saved and find that most glorious of things: a soulmate.

For the other amazing ladies joining me in this venture, thank you for taking this crazy ride with me. I hope it’s as fun for you as it is for me.

Sheba’s beast pawed inside her mercilessly, causing her skin to crawl and ripple as she fought to appear completely in control. Her mother sidled up behind her, a calm hand landing at the base of her back, the soft touch enough to snap her unruly Wolf back to days gone by when it knew who was boss: her mom.

She didn’t acknowledge the interaction. Not while she stood before the entire Pack. She’d been Alpha for barely a year, and a female one at that. The first in the Dark Moon Pack’s history. Sheba had fought tooth and claw to take over after her father died at the hands of the rogues who had slaughtered him, and she wasn’t about to show weakness now. No matter that her Wolf was being a first class bitch, and she had no idea what the hell was wrong with her.

Standing on the porch of the Alpha’s cabin, holding her arms high above her head, Sheba raised her voice. “Silence!” she roared, calling the Pack to order.

Her Beta, Raylon, paraded back and forth, his massive dark form scowling at anyone who dared utter a sound. His presence alone was enough to shut even the largest mouth and she barely suppressed the smirk that threatened to tug her lips upward. Instead, she kept her face a mask of concern as she addressed her people. “All right everyone, you know why we’re here . . . damn rogues have been on our land again. Not just our land, but surrounding Packs have reported attacks and at least we haven’t had that . . . yet. It’s only a matter of time or just dumb luck. We need to take this matter seriously before someone is hurt, or worse.”

Sheba watched as faces showed a gamut of emotions: shock, hatred, fear, and everything in between. She didn’t blame them. They had a large proportion of youngsters in their Pack and that meant they were vulnerable. She saw mothers tugging their pups closer, her heart thudding in her chest at the thought of one of them being taken, or injured. No. Damn it, she refused to allow any of her people to suffer at the hands of these fuckers. Her voice hardened as she looked over the people she’d fight and die for. “We’re increasing sentries and I’d ask that nobody goes off on their own, and I mean nobody. No children are to be allowed to play alone in the forest, no foraging for plants, herbs, or anything else that we would normally do. Understood?”

She looked out at a sea of nodding heads, even if there were a few grumbles, one was louder than others . . . Tilly, their Healer, stood at the front frowning. Sheba cocked her head to the side and addressed her personally. “Tilly, I’m aware you need to keep your stocks replenished and you are a special case. We’ll assign a guard for you each morning to accompany you to get what you require. You are allowed to go only when you have said guard with you. You are not immune from renegades just because you are a Healer, and the Pack can’t afford to lose you.”

Tilly harrumphed loudly but didn’t argue, which was rare. She’d argue black was white just for the sake of it at times. Then she’d laugh it off saying it was her Celtic blood and she enjoyed a good “rammy”, whatever the hell that was.

Sheba then turned to the side, focusing on where the younger Wolves had congregated, knowing her next words would definitely not go down well. “I know you normally walk to the Lunar most nights for a few drinks, and especially on the weekends, but I’m banning that.” She paused as shocked faces turned to shouts of protests. Hell, she frequented the club herself most weeks but she didn’t walk. Raylon would drive her and they’d kick back and relax with a few drinks and catch up with each other on non-Pack stuff, usually with her friend Arabella and the Pack’s Enforcer, Dion, joining them. It was one of the rare times they could truly just chill for a short time before heading back home and dealing with everything that comes with running a Pack once again.

Her ears were thumping with the cacophony of shouts as the younger members of the Pack, and some not so young, shouted and grumbled.

“What? No, you can’t do that. We go there all the time.”

“No, why? We do it every night. We’re always safe.”

  “No way.”

“Alpha! No. You can’t do that.”

They were just a few of the very many comments that flew at her all at the same time. Raylon stomped over, slapping a few heads and snarling loudly. Sheba held up her hand, shaking her head. “I didn’t say I was banning you from going, I just said you’re not allowed to walk there or back. It’s not safe right now and my only concern is this Pack’s safety. You lot are wandering along the highway and then through the forest in the dead of night while there are rogues roaming around. That is not safe. If you go out you will go with a designated driver and you will do what normal kids do—drive. Got it? If you can’t do that then you will not go at all. I’ll be alerting Myla to the new rules and she will be checking, and if anyone breaks them, then you’ll have Raylon to answer to.”

She paused, letting that little snippet sink in as her Beta prowled back and forth before the group, giving them the evil eye. His muscles rippled beneath his t-shirt that strained as if it were about to burst at the seams, his arms crossed over his impossibly wide chest. His dark eyes almost lost in the ebony dark skin of his face as he towered over them, and each and every one had to strain their necks to look up at him, but they quickly lowered their gaze before mumbling, “Yes, Alpha.”

“Good. I’m glad that’s agreed.” Sheba nodded grimly. “I wouldn’t like to see what kind of punishment Raylon would hand out to any of you if you broke these rules, because I’m pretty sure he’s already thought up some harsh new ones to implement. Isn’t that right,
Ray?”

Her Beta stopped, uncrossing his arms to place his fists on his waist and growling, “Sure have.”

Groans rang out from the crowd as many parents’ suppressed laughter broke free. Raylon’s punishments were legendary and they knew if anything would deter their offspring from breaking any rules it was the threat of Raylon being the person handing out the retribution. Hell, if it kept them safe that’s all that Sheba cared about, and with rogues in the area she was taking no chances with these kids.

She may be a new Alpha but her father’s blood ran through her veins and she’d do anything to protect each and every member of the Pack. Sheba would not allow any damn renegade Wolf to harm anyone under her care. She would tear their damn hearts out first. Her emerald eyes scanned the area, ensuring her people had taken in her words and the seriousness of the situation. The looks on their faces conveyed all she needed to know. They’d listened and she just prayed to the Goddess they’d heed her warnings and stay close to camp until they’d gotten this rogue problem sorted out.

How long that was going to take was anyone’s guess but for her land, her Pack, she was taking matters into her own hands and she’d be clearing out the forests surrounding the camp pretty damn soon. Any renegades found would be dealt with harshly, and if they put up a fight, then on their own heads be it . . . death would be the result.

Sheba might be the Dark Moon Pack’s first female Alpha, hell, she was the only female Alpha in the area, but she would be ruthless and deadly with anyone that posed a threat to her, her family, or her Pack. She would show no damn mercy for any renegades found on her land and if they thought she would be soft just because she was a woman they were very sorely mistaken.

“We’re done here . . . remember my words, people. I don’t expect to have to repeat myself. Understand?” she said coldly, lifting an eyebrow as she stared over the crowd, slowly moving her eyes around so she met most, if not all, of theirs.
