Tommy felt great. He hadn’t expected this. He’d thought he was destined to be alone for the rest of his life, but now he had Taylor, and nothing could affect them. They could get through anything together.

Taylor served coffee in bed. They laughed together, finding light humour from some of Tommy’s stories of prison. He then looked at her, closed his eyes, and it came over him suddenly... one of his headaches took over his mind. The pain was intense. He screamed, not being able to take the pain. Taylor was scared, frozen, watching the agony as it took control of his body.

She stared at the screen, a smile stretched across her face as she took control. The fool, she thought to herself. He downloaded the IPEA app on his new phone. Some people never learn.

Tammy watched as she began the next phase of her plan, directing Tommy’s actions, evilness flowing through her brain cells. She was clever. She had beaten the system. She’d got away with it, and every fool involved had fallen for her facade of kindness, as though butter wouldn’t melt.

A sociopath should never be underestimated! thought Tammy, taking control of Black Matter.

  Acknowledgements

I hope you all enjoy my debut novel “Black Matter” I dreamt this idea for a book and having mulled over the idea for almost a year before I decided to put pen to paper (as they say) I fully enjoyed the journey of writing this book, it’s been a tremendous experience and I am so excited to have this published after so long.

There are a few people to thank. First and always, my beautiful wife, Beth. She’s a constant source of love and encouragement which is invaluable as I took the step to reach into the depths of my mind to write my first novel. My two boys who I love and cherish with all my heart that bring me nothing but joy and happiness.

I would also like to say a special thank you to my editor, Vicky Swann, who has made me sound literate with her invaluable work as she guided me through and helped towards the first of three books.
