  As always I want to thank my readers, who made writing this series and all my future projects possible. You are the reason I continue to write. You have supported my books endlessly, and you also give these books life. I hope you will enjoy this second edition as much as I have enjoyed watching it be recreated.

  A huge thank you to Lori Follett at Wicked Book Covers, LLC. Once again Lori has worked her magic, and she is a huge help in bringing this series the consistency and the revival it needed. I am so excited for all of the work that lays ahead of us. Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into this cover. This one really left us on the edge of our seat during the design process. We went through numerous variations, and finally at the end we found a cover that not only fit the book but also the series as a whole.

  To Allyson Gottlieb, who was also able to jump on board again and redesign the interior design of this book. When I first released Shadows and Embers I did the majority of the work on my own, and it is such a relief to know this time around Allyson has made the inside of this book as beautiful as the outside. Thank you for always being there for me.

  Lastly I want to thank my family and friends, my fellow writers, and my boyfriend. They say writing is a job you do alone, but a lot of people motivated me and inspired me while I did my work.
