“You are one of the strongest people I’ve ever met,” he states.

“When I read books I was introduced to an entirely new realm of ideas, concepts and stories, I couldn’t believe the wealth of imagination out there for me to absorb. I found myself drawn to the stories where the main character had to overcome a huge obstacle. I felt like I could relate to those the most, and that I could be brave too. It gave me hope and inspiration. It also made me feel like I wasn’t an outsider anymore.”

Jai lifts my chin and kisses me delicately, warming my soul from the inside out.

“You’re not an outsider, and I can promise you that with me, you will never have to feel alone again.”

Aurora and I are in bed together, in my penthouse suite. She softly grazes her fingertips over my skin, skirting them across my neck, shoulders and arms.

“That feels fantastic,” I admit to her with a grin.

I’m propped up on one elbow, on my side, facing her as we gaze sultrily into each other’s eyes. She has a seductive shimmer in her dark eyes that drives me wild.

“Good.” She bites on her bottom lip. I love it when she does that, it drives me crazy in a good way. Her eyes blaze with an enhanced desire.

“I think you know how sexy you are,” I say, just throwing that out there on a whim.

She pretends to be bashful, shrugs and flickers her gaze away from me. She stops tickling my arms and shoulders too.

“You are a tease,” I say and playfully nudge at her with my chin.

Aurora’s slender legs drape over my waist and her other arm snakes underneath me.

“You are gorgeous, you don’t need to pout,” I tell her. “Although, you are still hot when you do that, too.”

She finally turns back to face me. “That’s more like it.”

I chuckle and softly brush my fingers across her cheek. I appreciate these tender moments between us because I know that they are few and far between.

“I want to treat you with dignity and respect,” I say.

Like a princess, my princess, I think privately to myself.

She coyly blinks. “I think you’re doing a great job of it so far.”

“I am sorry if I can’t always be what you want and need me to be.” I don’t know where this melancholy feeling comes from.

Aurora gives me a pondering glance. Her lashes are full, breathtaking. Her gaze intoxicates my senses and sets fire to my soul in the most fantastic way possible. Her smile is charismatic. There’s an entire world to explore dancing inside the irises of her eyes.

“You shouldn't worry about any of that,” she declares with a tantric smile. “I just want us to enjoy the magic of the moment. That’s all we can do, right?”

“You are amazing. How are you so smart?” I lean in and kiss the essence of her soft lips, relishing this moment. I never want our time together to end.

“I read a lot,” she declares proudly.

I cup my hand over her naked bottom only partially shrouded in the delicate fabric of the sheet. I give her supple caboose a gentle squeeze.

“You sure read a lot,” I say through clenched teeth and a grin.

Aurora shimmies away from me, teasing me further while matching my grin.

“No, no, naughty boy.” She wags a playfully disapproving finger at me.

I am geared up and ready for round two, but I can be patient and wait for her. The build up of anticipation is what makes it even more special. When I finally get to cum, it’s an amazing sensation.

“You should tell me a bedtime story,” I suggest.

Aurora raises one eyebrow of endearing surprise. “Really?”

“Sure.” I chuckle, still grabbing onto her ass for dear life while she wiggles around subtly in the sheets. She’s a sexual goddess and I’m afraid that she’s stealing my heart. “Why not?”

“I suppose you have a point.” She contemplates as if the idea never crossed her mind, but that I might actually be on to something.

“I am a very good listener,” I emphasize.

Aurora smiles. “And a good lover, too.”

“Well, thank you very much.” I mock a bow and she laughs spiritedly.

I think it’s nice that she’s willing to put in the extra effort it takes to humor me because let’s face it, I’m only a poor sucker for her temptations. Aurora is the exception to the rule that I alone make the rules. As far as I'm concerned, she can call all the shots.

‘Oh, why not?” She throws her hands up in the air. “I’ll do it.”

“Promise me one thing though,” I add.

“What?” She gives me a wary sideways glance.

“You can’t leave when it’s over.”

She shrugs. “all right. I can accept those terms.”

  I grin. “Fantastic.”

“Here’s one for you, big boy,” she says in a flirty voice as she grabs my cock and strokes it once or twice before releasing it. “The Emperor’s New Clothes, do you know that one? It’s one of Nadia’s favorites.”

Aurora grins with nostalgic fondness thinking about my daughter. That’s why she’s so incredible. She has a heart of pure gold.

“Oh, baby don’t tease me like that,” I groan, but comes out sounding more like a whine.

“If you are a good boy and listen to the story, you’ll get what you want,” she says in a taunting tone.

Her lips curl into the most delicious smirk I’ve ever seen. This woman has me wrapped around her middle finger, and she knows it. At least for tonight, we can pretend that our obligations mean nothing, and we can enjoy each other’s company.

“Now.” She puts on a professional demeanor and gazes at me sexily. “Focus on the story. Close your eyes and let me lull you off to a different place in your mind.”

I take a deep breath and nod. “I think I can do that.”

“The Emperor was very fussy,” she begins. “He wanted things done a certain way. He wants lavish outfits that are expensive—”

“You aren’t trying to imply something here, are you?” I grin at her.

She rolls her eyes and playfully swats at my arm. “Stop interrupting.”

“all right fine.” I pretend to be perturbed, but I’m having the time of my life in bed with her.

“Anyway,” she continues in a drawled out tone, “The Emperor demanded a fancy outfit for a parade. He hired the most elite tailors in all the land to make him the perfect outfit. However, they didn’t know how to please him, so they pretended they were able to make ‘invisible’ (this is where she made adorable air quotes), clothes that would surpass any other emperor’s outfit in history. This pleased the emperor, but on the day of the parade, he walked out into the crowds naked.”

  “Naked?” I ask.

Aurora tosses me a humored look. “Yes. Naked, just like you are right now.”

“Yes, but I’m not going outside naked,” I scoop her up by her hips. She squeals, pretending to get away, but she isn’t trying hard.

I shower her body, which also happens to be as naked as the emperor's, with kisses until she’s hot and moaning for more.

“You are gorgeous, and you tell amazing bedtime stories,” I say as I plant more kisses on her cheeks and lips.

“Bedtime stories are supposed to make you sleepy, not horny,” she says with an ear to ear beaming grin.

“What can I say, I have never been the type to conform to the norms of society.” I snatch her up by her hips and she shrieks with delight again.

I sit her atop my lap so that she’s straddling me. I can’t wait to push myself inside of her again. She’s already warm and wet, gushing with arousal fluids.

She snakes her arms around my neck and presses her petite body to mine. Her eyes dazzle with elation and adventure.

I stare at her, in awe of her profound beauty. “I wish there was a way we could freeze time and make this moment last forever,” I admit.

She smiles and presses her lips to mine.
We can always freeze it in our memories. Now, soldier,” she says mischievously, “if we can’t make the moment last forever, we better make it count, right?”

I grin. She is impressive to the core. “That’s right, sexy lady.”

We tangle together in the sheets, exploring each other’s bodies with an insatiable thirst. We probably won’t get any sleep tonight, but who cares, right? It’s all about making the most of the moment and being with those who are closest to your heart.

  Aurora

The next morning, I wake up in Jai’s bed. In his bed in his house, and not in the hotel room where we were fucking each other’s brains out from the night before.

Shit! What the hell was I thinking last night? No. Scratch that. I wasn’t thinking. That is the plain and simple explanation.

But the reality isn’t so simple…

I clutch the top of my head. First , let’s just say that I’m beyond mortified. I don’t know how I got here. I thought we were in the hotel room. I wasn’t that drunk, was I? Could Jai have just taken me in my sleep and brought me back here so I would be warm and comfortable?

It isn’t farfetched to assume that. But I’m most certainly not comfortable. I’m freaking out, to put it lightly. Maybe he had work to do and an emergency came up to where he would have to bring us home. He is a sheikh.

I’m shocked and appalled at my own behavior. It’s bad enough I allowed myself to have sex with my boss once, but twice? Its almost a crime to think about how bad this is. There is no excuse for me to act like this. I know better.

That’s not the only thing. I’m cringing just admitting this, but I wanted it to happen. I could have stopped myself from sinking into the abyss of passionate, incredible, mind numbing romance, bliss and pleasure with Jai.

I just can’t bring myself to do it.

I cast a wary glance in his direction. He is still sleeping soundly. Figures. That’s just men, right? They never have to worry about anything when it comes to sex. His bronze skin and muscles are intoxicatingly alluring.

No. Aurora. No. You have to get out of here, right now. Stop playing these games with him and yourself. You’re a bad girl.

A bad girl needs to be punished in the sheets.

Oh God. I’m a hopeless train wreck. I slide out of the bed beside him as quietly as I can, managing, somehow, to not rouse him or stir the sheets too much.

I put on my same dress from last night. I don’t even bother looking at my reflection in the mirror as I pass it on my way out of the room. I already know the shameful face that’s going to be looking back at me, haunting me.

I sneak out of his room downstairs and attempt to climb the stairs to my room before anyone spots me, but my efforts are in vain. It’s too late, literally. The morning is already half gone.

I hear Nadia chatting with Claire. Oh no! Things just cranked from bad to worse. They are on the stairs too, the very same stairs I’m using to sprint to my room after having fled Jai’s, aka my boss’ room.

This is the most humiliating moment of my life. Here I am, still wearing a dress from last night, probably with smeared makeup on my eyes, my hair is a mess, and I’m missing a shoe.

How am I going to get out of this? I glance up the stairs. Claire and Nadia haven’t noticed me…yet.

They are walking down though, and soon our paths will collide unless I think of something quickly. I’m at the back stairs, not the front stairs. This means this particular set is narrow, wedged between two walls going up to the next floor. There’s nowhere to hide.

“I wanted to be the first to wake Aurora up to discover how her night was at the ball, but she wasn’t in her room,” Nadia professes to Claire.

  I feel my shame rising.

Claire is out of breath, a little out of shape as she walks down the stairs hand in hand with Nadia. I can tell that Nadia wants to go faster. She’s bouncing from step to step, eager to find me as she lightly tugs on Claire’s arm.

I feel so much shame I’m almost drowning in it.

“Where is Aurora?” Nadia asks and peers at Claire.

“She might still be dancing,” Claire states with a nonchalant shrug. “You shouldn’t have gone into her room without permission, Nadia,” she adds as a gentle reprimand.

“I’m just excited to see her.” Nadia’s eyes flicker to the ground.

“I’m sure she’ll turn up,” Claire promises.

I glance over my shoulder, frantically searching for a last minute place to hide but a confrontation at this point is inevitable. I might as well take the loss and try to make the most of an unfavorable situation.

“Aurora!” Nadia’s excited voice flutters through the room.

She looks at me with an expression of glee and points. She jumps up and down, clapping and clearly excited.

I do my best to avoid eye contact with Claire because I’m so embarrassed. Also, because Claire is a grown up and she will catch onto my antics more quickly than Nadia will as an innocent child.

Here I am, face to face with the little girl I am supposed to be taking care of as her nanny. Instead, I’m fresh from her father’s bedroom where we were both slept together naked, only minutes ago. The level of disgrace I feel in this moment can’t be matched by any other circumstance I’ve ever experienced in my life.

Nadia trots down the remaining stairs to meet me almost at the bottom. I had no time to skirt away and avoid her. Not that I wanted to avoid her, but I wish now there was some way I could have made better choices before I got myself into this mess. You know what they say, hind-sight is twenty-twenty. I’m suffering the consequences of that now.

I remind myself that it’s not Nadia’s fault. She opens her arms and scoops me into a hug. Her tiny little body squeezes me with tight affection. Her hair still looks combed and pretty, even if she has only just woken up.

Nadia glances up at me. Her eyes shimmer with intrigue. Her smile is infectious. She still has her arms draped tightly around my waist.

“How was last night? Did you have the most fun you ever had in your entire life?”

I chuckle, still feeling embarrassed, and still refusing to look at Claire directly. I’m mortified. The awkwardness is killing me one cell at a time. Take all the cringeworthy moments you’ve ever felt and magnify them by a thousand, then quadruple them, and that is what I’m feeling right now. Sure, it might be a little dramatic, but it’s a turning point, and I’m scared.

Claire chuckles uncomfortably and tugs on Nadia. “Come on, dear.”

Nadia peers up at her with a skeptical glance. “Come… where?”

“It’s time to go,” Claire sighs. “Let’s leave Aurora be for a little while.”

Nadia rips her hand from Claire’s grasp. She frowns and her bottom lip juts out into a pout.

“No. I don’t want to leave Aurora. It’s morning, and I want to play with her. I want her to tell me about her time at the ball.”

“It’s okay sweetie—” I begin, but I’m shortly cut off by Claire.

“We need to allow Aurora time to rest. It’s been a long night for her.” She chuckles with sheepishness. I know she’s just trying to be polite, but she’s just making the moment worse.

“She’s been…” Claire looks at me and I briefly meet her gaze before switching my eyes back to the stairs. “Dancing all night.”

If I could melt into the floor, believe me, I would have. Is dancing a loose term for fucking that Claire is using to be diplomatic about the situation, or am I just overthinking this?

“No.” Nadia stamps her foot, crosses her arms and frowns with angst.

I don’t know what to do or what to say. I’m afraid that I’m just going to sabotage myself either way, so I keep my mouth shut. I don’t want either of them upset or disappointed with me, even though I feel disappointed in myself.

Why couldn’t I just stick to the job and not entertain the fantasies in my head regarding Jai? If I knew the answer, I probably wouldn’t be doing it.
/>   There’s nothing I can do but nod and agree to Claire’s suggestion.

I reach down and lightly graze my thumb against Nadia’s soft cheek. “I’m just going to get a little shower and a nap, and I promise you I will make it up to you later. We can do anything you want.”

I give her the sincerest smile I can and all I can do is hope she’ll be on board.

Her face brightens slightly, and she gives me a warm smile. “Do you mean it?”

How can I deny that sweet doll face anything? I nod enthusiastically. “Absolutely.”

Nadia sighs with resignation and looks between me and Claire.

“All right. You better rest good because later I want to play a lot,” she says.

I shake her hand and chuckle. “That sounds like a fair compromise. You have yourself a deal.”

Nadia beams with delight in response.

Claire steers Nadia back down the remaining stairs, but my guilty heart aches as I watch Nadia turn back to look at me with a reluctant expression on her face. What am I doing? More important, what have I done to the little child who trusts me? I vow never to disappoint her again.

  Jai

I wake up well rested, which hasn’t happened in a long time. I can’t remember the last time I slept through the night. It suddenly dawns on me that Aurora is the reason for my ability to get a peaceful snooze for more than a couple hours at a time.

  Aurora!

Where is she? She’s not in here. I try not to panic. Perhaps she woke up before me and is now tending to Nadia. After all, her job. I get dressed, trying not to worry, but it’s just my nature to want to micromanage and control everything. I need to get better about that. Aurora helps me lighten up and not take myself so seriously.

I hope she’s not upset with me for bringing her back to the house. I just assumed that Nadia would need her in the morning. I hope that I’m right.
