I put on some light makeup, as Jonathan went and got something in the bedroom. He brought in a big box and told me to open it. I pulled off the lid and smiled. “My boots! How did you get them back?” I asked.
He shook his head. “Sadly no, those are still in evidence from the attack on you.”

“Yes, but I got the feeling that they were your favorite, and they just looked so damn sexy on you that first day we met,” said Jonathan. He knelt before me, and he helped put them on me, and zipped them up my calves.
I swirled my magic over the counter and then I pulled out an awesome fighting stick, just like the one Jessica had thrown to me during the fight for Daniel. It did as my mind commanded it to on the spot. I placed it in the side of my boot, just like I always had. I took a deep breath. I felt like myself again for the moment. I kissed Jonathan and thanked him for my new boots.
We left the cabin and met everyone at Bradley’s security firm. Jonathan and I were the last ones to get there. He decided that he wanted to drive instead of flashing there because he wanted me at his mercy.
Jonathan played with the remote the whole way there. He kept my arousal just high enough for me to beg him for release. Two minutes later, we were at Nickels Security Firm. When we got there, we took the elevator down and met everyone in the lounge. Bradley had ordered pizza, as everyone got something to eat and to drink. I stayed with Jonathan and sat with him while he fed me bites of pizza, just as Bradley and Logan had done for Molly and Becca. I kept my focus on Jonathan as we sat there and ate together and talked with our pack at a table. I told Jonathan, I would have to get up to speak tonight, so that he didn’t think I was being disobedient about not staying by his side. I felt the vibration flip on.
“Now that is not asking for promotion. Is it?” he said. I turned my face into his neck. “Jonathan, please may I go up and speak when I need to tonight.” I whispered. He nodded to me, and I felt his pleasure of approval under my leg.
When everyone was done eating, Bradley stood and got everyone’s attention and called Amanda up so that she could tell everyone that Bradley and his men’s wolves are sick. She explained that when they were Army Rangers, they were on a mission to retrieve and destroy confidential information that was stolen from our military for making their own shifter soldiers.
“Bradley found and retrieve this important information that had been stolen from the military, that was part of the ANDNA program. Bradley and his team were captured, and that is when they all were injected with something that has been slowly poisoning their wolf every time one of them gets bitten or scratched by another shifter or creature in a fight or combat. My sister Jenna and I have found a permanent way to make Bradley and everyone here a full shifter like Kate and Jonathan.” Everyone looked at Jonathan and me, eyes wide. The room exploded in questions. Amanda tried to shush everyone. “I know you all have questions, but please, let’s do this one at a time.” Jonathan’s Alpha power rolled off him in waves and the room hushed.
“Everyone will have their questions answered, but you will do it one at a time. Am I understood?” said Jonathan. They all nodded and bowed their heads. “Amanda, continue, please.” Jonathan sat back down.
Amanda explained that it would just involve an injection, like what they had in the military. Everyone was more at ease then. There were all kinds of questions that were asked.
The first question: “Will we all still have the same wolves we feel inside us now?”
Amanda answered, “Yes, it will just be a stronger wolf, and you will be able to fully shift and heal faster if you get hurt.”
“Will we grow older or get sick?”
Amanda answered, “Because of the healing rate you will live longer, and you will age slower. With the ability to heal, your bodies will not catch regular colds or diseases. Now, I am not saying you can’t die. I suppose it will depend on the situation you’re in.”
“Will we all have magic like Kate has?”
Amanda answered, “We are not sure. As it is now, only the women in Kate’s family possess the ability to do magic. But we won’t know that until it happens. I would say if you have witch blood, or fay blood, in your family line, there may be a good chance of something being made of it.”
That’s when I stood up from Jonathan’s lap. “I have something to add.” I looked at Jonathan. “This is important.” He nodded. I pulled out the crystal and as I walked up there to speak.
I heard someone say, “She probably doesn’t want anyone else to have her precious powers.” I turned in that direction and stared straight at the one who made the claim, my eyes flashing wolf.
“No, Lisa, she is one of Bradley’s men’s mate and she has never really liked me. I just wanted everyone to understand that if you decide to do this, you all need to know the truth about my family and why we have these powers.” I called Jessica up to come up next to me. I held out the crystal and took Jess’s hand and said the spell suddenly, my mother appeared to everyone and she began to speak and show everyone.
I looked at Bradley and Daniel and I saw tears in their eyes. It had been a long time since they had seen Momma.
Teri Ann
She began to speak of a time of archangels being cast down from Heaven. When demons and angels came to earth and mated with young women. She explained that her family had been blessed with the power of Archangel Michael. It is his angel power that will run through this family blood line to fight these demons and other creatures who escape from their realms.
She said, “Once Lucifer found out about our angel blood lines, he kidnapped and raped one of our ancestors from the Archangel Sandalphon blood line, who bore him a son. Her name was Catalina. She bore the first son in her family line. When she came back to the family’s after having the child and told everyone what had happened to her, she was told to kill her son. Because of the evil way she was attacked, the child was made of an evil action and was an evil seed.
“She could not bring herself to kill a child. So, in secret, she gave him to a very good family. They had money so he was well cared for and new wealth. But then one day his life was turned upside down. His family home caught fire and the parents he knew died in the fire. None of their families would take the boy in. They knew that he just wasn’t right inside. They suspected him of killing his family. He took to living on the streets and was caught stealing from a hateful, evil sadistic man.
“That man took him a
nd branded him a slave to pay off his debts. He worked the boy hard every day, and every night the boy paid with whippings and other sadistic things the old man and his friends would do to him.
“Catalina, the mother of the boy, ran into one of the friends of the boy’s family and asked about her son. She was horrified to hear about the son having no one. She began to say a spell every night to bring the son back to her. (Et tunc ex nunc adducere quarta caro et sanguis meus, ut fructum a me). Which means from then to now, bring forth my flesh and blood back to me.
“But it was too late; the son was already tainted and had killed the old man and his friends for years of their sadistic ways. The spell worked, and it led him home. He came to Catalina and she kept him a secret from her family and the elders. She bought him a house and supplied everything he needed. She bought him books and later sent him to college, where he became very smart and accomplished and became a doctor. But still she kept him a secret, for fear that the elders would kill him.
“Then one day she met him for lunch at a diner in the next town over, where he lived. Just as they had finished and walked back to his home, they were mugged. The son Owen began to fight the mugger and a shot rang out and hit Owen’s mother and the mugger ran. Owen ran to his mother. She calmed him and told him it would be all right and she healed herself in front of him. He gasped and had so many questions.
“Catalina told him everything, but in the end, he became mad and jealous that he did not possess these powers. She told him he had possessed power once; I went to your family home and I used my power to see what happened and how the fire started. It was you”. My boy. “So, when you came to me that first time, I bound your powers, because you had used them for evil setting your family home on fire. He began following his mother and her sister to see what he could learn of them. They fought bad creatures and demons one night trying to break through to our realm. But what they didn’t know is that a small creature got through and attached itself to Owen.
“Owen started to lose time and acted afraid of his mother and her power. He told her that he followed her and her sisters that night and made her believe that the elders were going to come for him now that he knew everything. So, she made a powerful spell. One that still lasts to this day. Catalina placed this spell over his land and home that the blood of his blood would not be able to use their power on his land or in his home. So, if they came after him, it would render them powerless to fight with their power. After she did this spell, he invited her into his home. They sat down to have tea and started to talk. But Catalina became dizzy and sleepy.
“‘Owen what have you done?’ she asked before she passed out. He had drugged her tea, and when she awoke, she found herself locked in a cell. She called out to her son, ‘Owen, Owen, what is this you have done?’
He replied, ‘Oh Mother, I am going to find a way to take your power from you and make it mine. Then I will kill you for all my suffering.’
“‘Killing me will only make it easier for them to kill you,’ she told him.
“‘I have already taken some of your blood. I am going to work on your genetic coding, and I am going to make myself stronger.’
“‘Oh, Owen, this is not going to work. There is a reason why men in our family do not have are abilities. It will make you sick and you will lose your mind. Please don’t do this. You will become a demon.’
“‘But then I will be strong.’ His mother shook her head in shame as he stuck himself with her blood and feeding the thing that had attached itself to him and inside him. He began to scream, and he fell to the floor and began to writhe on the ground. This happened for days and then when he awoke in front of her cell, he was in fact stronger and faster. He turned to look at his mother as she cried for him. She gasped as she looked at his eyes. They were blood red.
“‘Oh, Owen, your eyes—what have you done?’
“‘I feel great,’ he said, as he ran in a blur to her cage. ‘Yes, I am fast now.’ Then he grabbed the bars and they crumbled at his touch. ‘Yes, I have strength.’ Then he left her in her cell to go and test out his new power. But he didn’t realize that the first person he came across would smell so good. He began to thirst for that smell and then he couldn’t help himself. He went mindless and hunted and attacked the smells all round him. When he was done, he realized that he drank a person’s blood until they were dead.
“He began to thirst for more and more. He attacked a whole town and killed and drained everyone. At least that is what he thought. That night Owen became the first vampire. He stayed out all night. Dawn began to rise, and he was in the middle of the town. His skin began to burn and smoke. He began to scream at the pain and took off running for home, but he knew he wouldn’t make it. He had to take cover and wait out the day to pass. He began to dig a hole with is hands under a tree and buried himself until night fell. The next day, all anyone could talk about was the next town over that had been slaughtered by a beast that drained everyone’s blood.”
Teri Ann described what happened next.
The Amber family was well known. Their father was the coroner of the town and the bodies were brought to him. His daughter Ellie took photos of the bites and how the bodies were mangled. Then suddenly one of the bodies became alive and attacked her father David.
Ellie used her power to throw the thing off her father. It got up and she froze it with her power.
David called his wife Tera and she called the elders angels and they all met at David’s coroner’s office. They concluded that it was called a vampire and that the young woman was a victim of the attack, because her name was Lily and she was the daughter of the mayor. She began to thaw, and her eyes began to move and blink.
Callie, an elder, asked Lily if she could understand her. She blinked. “So, you understand what has happened to you?” The elder reinforced the freezing on her body so she could not move and unfroze her head so she could speak. Callie asked her again, “Do you understand what happened to you?”
Lily answered, “I was attacked while I was walking home from a friend’s house. Where am I?” Lily asked.
“You died and you are in the coroner’s office. Do you know what attacked you?”
“Yes, I saw a man walking toward me. Then he moved so quickly. I remember such pain as something ripped through my neck and then darkness as my screams faded out.”
The elders told Tera to take Lily back to their home and do tests and concluded that she could drink only blood and that she couldn’t go out in the sun. Even as they conducted tests on her, it was painful for Lily, but after each test Callie gave Lily, her own blood to heal herself. Callie saw that she healed faster than before. Yet she still never once tried to attack them. They began to like Lily and care for her. They saw that she had great control over her thirst and Lily drink only from Callie’s arm once a day and lived with them. Other vampires that they encountered were savage beasts and all they wanted was to drink and kill people for their blood.
Kate’s mom began to explain how the family became part fay. Callie, her great-grandmother, came across a fairy man in a fight with a vampire, and his power rivaled Callie’s power. She was pulled to him. He was an elder of his fay people. Callie and Aiden were mated soon after that.
For centuries this has gone on and over the years, our powers have grown greater. In that time Owen grew his army of vampires and there was a great war and the elders, and most of the angel fay from before, were attacked and killed. Only one ancestral line escaped.
Teri Ann said, “I was born of that line, and Kate and Jessica where born of that line, and now they have added the shifter blood line as they have mated. If you do this, our fight will become your fight, your women and daughters will be the last line of these great elders, who had angelic blood. It will be in your blood and it will drive you to kill demons and vampires.”
Then Teri Ann showed them one last fight and it was the day she died. It was the man’s face that I had burned with my tiny little hand when he tried to grab
me out of the car window. I heard Daniel gasp. “That is him. He is the one who tortured me.” Then Momma was gone, and everyone was quiet.
Amanda began to speak again, “I will take Bradley and Molly first.”
I walked back with Jess to Jonathan. “I sensed something different about you this morning when we talked to Momma. Is everything okay with you.” “Carson and I mated last night,” said Jess with a huge smile on her face. We stopped and hugged. “Oh my gosh, that is huge.
We went back to Jonathan who was standing with Carson and I gave him a hug and said, “Welcome to the family.”
“Are you ready to go, Jonathan?” I asked. “My wolf needs to run. Would you and Jess like to come run with us?” I asked Carson. “Our wolves need to meet and be comfortable with each other.”
“Um, that would be nice, but Amanda just asked Jessica to go through what you did to help Bradley.”
“Oh, okay. I told Amanda if we are needed to just call us.”

CHAPTER 15
Carson and Jessica decided to stay back and help Amanda at the security company. Jonathan and I left to go back to the cabin. As soon as the elevator door shut, Jonathan clicked the device on high, stuck his leg in between my legs, and command me to ride his leg as he bit and nibbled on and kissed my neck. I came so hard that I passed out and he had to carry me to the car.

“When we got home, I knew Kate need to let her wolf out to run. So, I will let her run, but not in the way you would think. I opened the car door for my sweet little wolf and decided to make things a bit more interesting. When she saw my eyes flash wolf, she knew I wanted to hunt her.”
“Let’s make this run a good one,” I said. What do you say?” She turned to him and started backing up as he advanced and push her up against a tree in the yard. “I will let you run in this form. No shifting until I take this little sweet ass. He used one claw to rip open the front of her black dress from the middle to just under my right breast. She gasped. “I want to hunt you--” He clicked the device on inside her, “and this beautiful sweet ass of yours.” He ripped, and slashed at the front and the back of my dress with his claws. By the time he let her go to run, he had ripped half her dress off and spanked that tight little ass, red with his hand.
