Midnight Special

“This is really gross,” Mason and Sam said almost simultaneously.

I scoffed as I walked away from their complaining voices. I turned the handle on the door and almost slammed it back, before a very large, black dress shoe wedged in between it and the frame, preventing it from closing.

“Heyyyy,” I said with a weak smile, trying to keep my voice steady.

“Hey,” Ty replied in a clipped tone, with brown eyes that bore into me and not wearing much of a smile on his face. “Can I come in?”

  “Who is it?” Kacey yelled.

I stood at the door, almost pleading with my eyes, for this not to happen but it was happening. Right now. Right here. There was no stopping this.

The stunning man partially jammed in my door was still wearing his suit, with the tie hanging loosely from around his neck and the top button of his dress shirt underneath undone. He looked exhausted.

“Ty,” I begged in a whisper.

I peered through the crack in the door and noticed he was holding something.

“Who is it?” Mason asked, standing right behind me.

There were four boxes of pizza tucked under his arm and a large shopping bag just beneath it.

“He has pizza, Mom. Let him in!” Mason said reaching under me to take the bag, looking inside of it when he stepped away. “Ice cream and snacks, guys, and pizza!” Mason yelled, practically running back into the kitchen.

I dropped my arm and Ty shoved through the door, not giving me much of a chance to open it. I looked up into his angry eyes and turned away from them. Ty pressed a kiss to my cheek, looking around before walking into the kitchen, like he owned the place.

I dropped my head and took a deep breath. I felt sick and dizzy, certain I would pass out.

“Hello!” Kacey shouted, jumping up from the table. “What’s your name?”

“Hello, Kacey. My name is Ty,” he said giving her a smile.

“Hello,” Mason and Sam both said, more interested in the pizza than in Ty.

“Your shoes are really shiny.” Kacey giggled.

“I’m Carter,” Carter said, extending his hand to Ty for a handshake.

I chuckled at the interaction that almost made me forget for a moment that I was in deep shit.

Ty stuck his arm out to shake Carter’s hand, looking him over with a smirk.

Dylan stood from the sofa walking over slowly with his arms folded across his chest. When he reached the kitchen area, he leaned against the wall, almost sizing Tyler up. Then he stepped forward offering his hand to him.

  “I’m Dylan. Are you him?”

Ty shook Dylan’s hand and then shot me a look over his shoulder, then looked at Dylan again.

  “Yeah, I guess I’m him. I’m Ty.”

“Ty,” Dylan repeated, cocking his head, looking at Ty up and down. “I hope I’m your height when I get about eighteen.”

  Ty laughed. “You will be.”

“I don’t know. They say girls like tall guys.”

  “Yes, some. Actually, probably most.”

Dylan laughed. “You work in an office or something? Since you’re all dressed up like that.”

“Yes, in an office building nearly every day.”

“Interesting,” Dylan said running a hand over his chin.

“You a Philadelphia Phillies fan?” Dylan asked, reaching for Ty’s key ring. “And apparently, you drive an Aston Martin—real cool, man.”

“The Phillies!” Mason and Sam shouted.

  “Boys, please.”

“Yeah, I’ve been a Phillies fan since I was a kid. They’re my dad’s favorite team. So now they’re mine too.”

“They’re playing the Atlanta Braves next Sunday,” Dylan added.

“I have season tickets, so I go to almost every game.”

“Can I come with you?” Dylan asked with obvious excitement in his voice.

  “Dylan,” I said firmly.

“Can we come too?” Mason, Sam, and Carter yelled from the living room while shoveling pizza into their mouths.

“Guys, please,” I said running a hand through my hair, feeling embarrassed.

Ty’s eyes met mine. “It’s fine, Mads.”

  “Mads?” Dylan snickered.

“Yeah, you can. If it’s okay with your mom,” Ty said looking at me.

  “Mom,” Dylan pleaded.

  “I hate baseball!” Kacey whined.

I sighed. “Let’s talk about this later.”

“Why later, Mom?” Dylan said walking towards me. “Your friend is offering to take us. I’ve never been. What’s to talk about?”

  “Dylan, please.”

“If you don’t let him take me, I will be dead before I ever see a baseball game,” he complained.

“Oh my God. Fine. Fine, Dylan. Yes, you can go, but Ty is a very busy man. He’ll have to make time in his schedule for you.”

Ty stared at the floor and let out a small laugh, shaking his head. Then he looked at Dylan again and huffed. “It’s fine. Next Sunday. I can pick the four of you up.”

Dylan fist-pumped and then walked off.

Kacey stepped closer to Ty looking up at him and then raised her arms. A lopsided grin appeared on his face, right before he bent forward and picked Kacey up. I leaned against the wall watching them.

“Do you think my mommy is a pretty girl?” Kacey asked, with cheese sauce still stuck to her cheek.

Ty laughed. “Yes, of course. She is very pretty. In fact, she is the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen.”

I dropped my head for a moment and then watched them again, trying not to blush. I couldn’t forget that Ty was pissed at me. Kacey smiled, encouraging Ty to smile with her. Then she leaned forward to inspect his teeth.

“They’re really white. How do your teeth get so white?”

“I brush them. You have to brush them,” Ty said laughing.

“That’s what I tell Mason. That’s why his are so brown because he doesn’t brush them. Mason, you have to brush your teeth!” Kacey yelled.

“Shut up, Kacey,” Mason said standing up, holding the PS3 control in his hand.

“Okay, you guys, please,” I said stepping forward to take Kacey out of Ty’s arms.

“Mommy, I want to talk to the nice man some more.”

“No, baby, maybe later, okay? It’s getting late.”

I caught a glimpse of Ty removing his jacket and I knew he was staying. I moved down the small hallway to put Kacey in my bed, trying to muffle my sigh. I didn’t want Ty in my dump of an apartment. It was cramped and full of children. Everything in it was old and the occasional roach scurried out of its crack every now and again. I hated this place but it was all I could afford, after moving at least four times before I found it.

When I returned to the kitchen, Ty was leaning against the counter eating a slice of pizza. I stepped closer and he offered me a bite, which I gratefully accepted.

“Thank you,” I said, covering my mouth as I chewed.

Ty only nodded, shifting his body again.

“There isn’t anywhere we can talk,” I said quietly.

Ty grimaced and shook his head. I didn’t know what that meant. When I opened my mouth to speak, he did it again, keeping his brown eyes on mine.

The sound of jangling keys caused us both to look towards the door. Zita poked her head in and then came inside slowly, looking at both Ty and me like we were Publisher’s Clearing House.

“Hellllooo,” she said wearing a huge grin as she stepped towards Ty looking him over. “It’s nice to meet you, handsome man.”

Ty shook Zita’s hand as she blatantly checked him out.

“I’m glad you’re here,” I said. “I have to go out but I will be back soon.”

“Are you planning to sleep out? I’m not busy tonight. I can stay over if you know,” Zita said still wearing the same stupid grin.

I dropped my head for a moment when I was about to tell her that it wasn’t necessary.

  “Yes, actually that
would be great,” Ty said quickly, smiling at me but I knew an angry smile when I saw one.

“Bye, Ty,” Mason shouted from the living room while Dylan and Carter raised their hands in goodbye.

“Bye, guys. Next Sunday, don’t forget.”

  “Whoo hoo!” Dylan sang out.

Zita’s eyes darted around, trying to figure out what was going on.

“I’ll explain later.” I kissed her on the cheek.

Ty grabbed his jacket and keys and gripped my hand when I found my coat, yanking me out the door.

Madison sat on the edge of the sofa in the den at my apartment, fidgeting with her hands. I grabbed a beer from the fridge, pouring it down my throat, trying to temper my irritation.

  “Beer?” I offered.

Madison shook her head in a pass.

I undid the buttons to my shirt and removed my watch, placing it on the counter. Then I made my way towards the den, sliding between Madison and the coffee table, taking a seat on it and leaning forward to peer into her guilty face.

“I’m sorry, Ty.” Her eyes met mine quickly then focused on the floor between us.

I took another gulp of beer while looking her over as she squirmed nervously in front of me.

“Now you know my dirty little secret.”

“What’s so dirty about having kids, Mads?” I snapped.

She shifted in the chair again, dropping her head. I placed a finger under her chin, forcing her to look at me.

  “I don’t know. Nothing I guess.”

I gritted my teeth. “It’s not the kids-thing that bothers me so much, Mads. It’s the husband part that I’m having more of a problem with.”

Tears trickled from her eyes, soaking her cheeks.

“How could you not tell me you’re married?” I asked, feeling like I was about to fucking explode.

“It’s not like that. I was going to tell you. I swear I was going to explain.”

“Well, explain now, Mads, because I’m really fucking baffled.”

“He left a long time ago.”

  “Why aren’t you divorced then?”

“I couldn’t afford it,” she said as her voice cracked.

I let out a loud breath. “You can afford it now.”

  “Yes, I can.”

“So, get divorced,” I said moving to stand.

“I will.” She wiped her tears.

It crushed me to see her crying but I didn’t like being kept in the dark. I didn’t fucking deserve this.

“I’m sorry,” she said again standing up quickly. “If you don’t want to see me anymore, I understand, Ty. It’s okay.”

She headed for the foyer, snatching her coat from a hook.

“Madison,” I said raising my voice.

I stomped across the room while she frantically shoved her arms in the sleeves of her coat, with pink cheeks that were covered in tears.

“Madison, what are you doing?” I asked, unable to hide my annoyance at her ridiculous attitude.

“It’s okay, Ty,” she said holding a hand up, palm facing out.

I jerked my head back. “What is okayyy, Madison?” I shouted.

“I understand. We don’t have to do this anymore.”

I laughed but there was no fucking humor in it whatsoever. “Are you serious? You’re leaving now?”

  “It’s okay,” she said again.

“It’s not fucking okay, Madison. I don’t want you to leave.”

She wiped her tears again while I grappled for her wrist, pulling her to me.

“Didn’t you say you loved me?” I asked when she turned away from me, avoiding my eyes.

  “Yes.”

“So why are you leaving then?”

The sound of her ragged breaths and the rustling of her jacket filled the foyer while I struggled to keep her from darting out the door.

“Hey,” I whispered.“Madison,” I said sternly when I realized that she wasn’t listening to me. “I don’t want you to leave.”

“What difference does it make, Ty?” she yelled. “If you don’t leave now, you will only leave me later when you realize no matter how hard you try, you can’t do this,” she babbled out. “So I might as well leave now to save us all the trouble.”

“What?” I asked raising my voice.

This woman was pissing me off so much tonight.

She moved towards the door, yanking it open. I placed my hand over her head and forcefully slammed it shut, causing her to jump.

“I love you, Madison. I. Don’t. Want. You. To. Leave.”

She pressed her face into the corner of the wall and cried. “I didn’t tell you because I knew you wouldn’t want anything to do with my messy life, if you knew the truth, Ty. I didn’t keep it from you to deceive or hurt you.”

I nuzzled my face into her hair, inhaling the scent that I’d missed so much over the past week. I wrapped my arm around her waist, kissing her cheek and pulling her jacket off slowly while she remained against the wall, unmoving. Madison was warm and soft and mine.

“I miss you,” I whispered leaning into her. “I miss you, Mads.”

  She began to sob.

  “Don’t you miss me?”

“Yes,” she said quietly, sniffling. “I’m an impossible package, Ty. You think I don’t know that? All this time, I’ve been able to just feel normal and I got carried away...with everything. I’ve been allowed to not think about what awaits me at home. It’s been nice just to feel like a woman in love with a man when I’m with you. Thank you for that,” she mumbled. “But this is my shitty life. I’ve never been in a normal relationship.”

“So, let’s not do this anymore then,” I said, raking my fingers through her hair, feeling the soft strands.

I placed my hands at her waist, slowly turning her around to face me. Then dipped my head low to look at her, absorbing that she was still crying.

  “Where is he now?”

  “I don’t know.”

“I don’t like that you have a husband, Mads, when you’re supposed to be with me.”

“I’m going to file for divorce.”

“Good.” I cupped Madison’s face in my hands, running the pads of my fingertips over the warm apples of her cheeks. “Do you still love him?”

She shook her head emphatically. “No, of course not. I love you, Ty.”

“That’s all I need to know,” I said pressing my lips to hers.

Gagging, I took Ty’s cock deep down my throat. He leaned forward, pulling me in for a kiss and then guided me back to the head of his cock. I gripped the warm base of it with my hand, slicking his entire length in my saliva. He wrapped his fingers in my hair, brushing it away from my face, looking down at me while I sucked him off.

“I’m going to come deep down your throat, Madison,” he hissed.

I took his cock deep in my throat, sucking and licking the precum that had already beaded on the head of it. Ty narrowed his eyes looking down at me, letting out a hoarse groan. His thick fingers grazed my jawline while his thumb rubbed lovingly over my cheek. There is something downright filthy about this but it was a loving act. This man looked at me like he adored everything about me, including my wicked mouth. I pulled away and licked my lips. He cupped the back of my neck with his hand and pulled me in for a kiss.

My lips were salty and my tongue was raw. Then he guided me firmly back to his cock. I ran my tongue along the thick veins that were swollen along the length of his flesh. I took him deep down my throat again, nearly gagging. I persevered, feeling my eyes becoming watery from lack of oxygen. Ty controlled the speed while I massaged his tight balls that were begging to come. I coughed and spit up saliva and precum that slicked my chin. He kissed me again, nibbling and biting on my lip. I looked at the huge appendage that stood at attention in front of me. It was swollen and harder than the coffee table in front of me.

I kissed it again, running my tongue from root to tip again, feeling it jerk. Ty gripped it and
smacked my face with it a few times. My hot mouth hung open, searching desperately for it to be filled again, with him.

“You want it?” Ty asked with lazy eyes.

  “Yes.” I licked my lips.

I gripped it again, sucking and milking him, feeling it jerk hard. Ty moaned and his ab muscles clenched and bunched each time I took him deep. His hands ran through my hair, smoothing it out of the way, so that he could watch everything I was doing to him. I swallowed him deep again, moving faster along his length, running my hand along it the same time as my tongue. I met Ty’s half-shut eyes, taking in the sight of his face contorting and twisting in pleasure.

“Madison.” His thighs began to quiver.

My mouth was full looking up at him. Ty’s fingers tightened in my hair and a savage noise left his mouth. I gagged but swallowed and tasted every drop of cum that spilled into my mouth. Ty hissed and groaned, watching me lick my lips, making sure I got every dribble of him. Then he smiled and pulled me to kiss him again.

He was still hard and I was soaking wet, desperately needing to soothe the ache between my own legs. I straddled him, brushing the head of his cock to my dripping slit. I moaned sliding down onto it, moving slowly.

Ty leaned forward taking a nipple into his mouth sucking and licking, then squeezed both breasts with his large hands. In a matter of minutes, I was coming, riding his thick cock like a woman on the verge of insanity. I pumped him mercilessly with my slick pussy, feeling it throb and clench around him, as I came.

Loud, strangled sounds left my throat that would’ve pissed off Ty’s non-existent neighbors.

“You’re gorgeous, Madison,” Ty whispered pulling me in for a kiss.

I rested my head into Ty’s strong shoulder, admiring the lines of the muscles there while he wrapped his arms around me. He ran his fingers over the warm, sweat-slicked skin on my back. I was spent, sated and satisfied. All I wanted was sleep.

Ty mumbled a few words and before I knew it, I was already out.
