Be Mine Forever (Brothers From Money #2)

Then he removed his clothes and got under the covers with her. She shrieked when he put his still cold feet on her leg, but he quickly covered her mouth with his and she forgot his cold feet immediately. Her whole body was suddenly on fire, his hot skin on hers inflaming her desire.
His kiss became more demanding as his hands roamed everywhere on her body. She loved the hard heavy feeling of his body on hers, and when his hand found one of her breasts, she moaned in pleasure. Leslie threw her leg over his and felt his erection pushing against her leg so she reached down and took him in her hand.
With each stroke of her hand he got harder. He broke the kiss and found one of her breasts with his mouth, sucking her hard nipple, he trailed his hand down and across her stomach. She rolled onto her back and spread her legs for him, releasing her hold on his erection when his finger thrust deep inside her.
He moaned when he felt how hot and wet she was, and that sound alone drove her wild, she thrust her hips up to meet his hand when he thrust his finger into her again. When his mouth found hers, all she wanted was to feel him inside her. But then Sebastian used his thumb to tease her clit, stroking it as he thrust his finger into her.
Her orgasm crashed through her, rocking her body in long wonderful spasms, stealing her breath and making her cry out Sebastian’s name. As her body stilled, Sebastian moved between her legs, and took one of her breasts in his mouth and the other in his hands. He teased one nipple with this teeth and tongue and the other with his thumb and finger.
Leslie was quickly losing all power to think as the desire began to build again. A tight spiral deep inside that was beginning to slowly uncoil. Sebastian raised himself up and slowly slid inside her, filling her with his hard, throbbing penis. His eyes locked with hers, he began to move slowly inside her, pulling out completely before sliding back in again.
Each time he slid into her, the pleasure was a little greater, the connection a little deeper, until she thought she was going to explode. Sebastian buried himself deeper into her, then ground his hips, sending waves of pleasure rushing though her body. The sleeping bag had slid off and the sight of Sebastian’s muscles in the fire light was intoxicating.
She kissed his hard chest, working her way to his nipple, which was hard as a pebble. When she teased it with her tongue, he growled deep in his throat, and increased his pace. Desperate to have him deeper she wrapped her legs around him, and found his other nipple and began to suck on it.
Sebastian became frantic with need as Leslie teased him, biting then licking. He pulled out of her and rolled her onto her back, then he pulled her to her hands and knees and drove himself into her. The feeling of him buried so deeply inside her sent her senses into over drive, each movement of his hips causing waves of pleasure to wash over her.
Leslie could feel her orgasm building as Sebastian increased his rhythm, each stoke of his powerful body making her feel things more intensely than ever before. Before she could reach the crest, however, he pulled out of her again, making her whimper in frustration.
He rolled her over again and buried himself inside her, she wrapped her legs around his waist and held onto his shoulders. She raised her hips, meeting him stroke for stroke, crying his name over and over. When Sebastian slid her legs up to his shoulders and plunged himself into her deeper than he’d ever been, she met his eyes unable to breathe.
“Oh, my God. You are so incredible, you feel so good. Let go and come with me.” Sebastian said, still looking deeply into her eyes.
Leslie couldn’t miss the look of love in his eyes as he said those words to her. That revelation was more than her overcharged senses could take, her orgasm rushed through her, every nerve ending singing with extreme pleasure.
When Sebastian felt Leslie’s muscles rippling with her pleasure, he let go and emptied himself inside her. Crying out her name, he collapsed on top of her, spent but happy. He finally managed to roll off of her and pull the sleeping bag up over them.
“I bet your feet aren’t cold anymore.” She said, rubbing his chest.
“Hmm, nothing on me is cold right now. But my stomach is very empty, as much as I’d love to stay right where we are, I need some food.”
“You just expended a lot of calories. Allow me to replace them, it’s in my best interest after all.” She said, sliding out of the bed and putting her clothes back on.
He followed her, putting his clothes on, then stirring the fire and putting more logs on. As warm as it was in the cave, it still got cold fairly quickly if the fire burned down. By the time she had the food ready, it was nice and warm in the cave and they could sit in their shirt sleeves again.
The roast was delicious, and they ate without speaking until the worst of their hunger was appeased. The food made them sleepy but there was still work to be done before they could go to bed. While Leslie was cleaning up, she came across the satellite phone, she’d set it aside earlier so Sebastian could show her how to use it.
When he came in from taking care of the horses, she was sitting by the fire, shoes off warming her feet. “I see you stocked the wood pile, which should be enough to make it through tonight and most of tomorrow.” He said, shrugging out of several of the layers he was wearing.
“Yeah, and there’s still a big pile outside. Can you show me how to use this phone, just in case?” She asked, as he joined her at the fire.
“With everything else going on I forgot about the phone. We probably should call Garrett, he’s probably worried. But, it’s not going to work in the cave.”
He showed her how to power up the phone, then they stepped outside and called Garrett. He had been worrying and for good reason. It was freezing outside, but Sebastian put the speaker on and they stood shivering listening to some less than good news.
“When we got the car back to the ranch, Simon drove it out to the pasture barn and as he was leaving a black box fell off the rear bumper. It must have been frozen there and the warmth of the barn melted the ice. It was a tracker, so they must have been following you.”
“Crap, I thought we were being followed, but they were smart. They must have known we would spot them if they followed us too closely. I bet they put that tracker on when we were shopping. They probably followed us from Terrell Industries.” Sebastian said.
“It doesn’t matter how they did it. Garrett you are all in danger, they’ll track that car to the ranch.” Leslie said, suddenly sick to her stomach.
“No, the signal would have been blocked about two miles from the ranch, we’ve got an insane security system, which includes signal blockers. We’re well protected, besides one of the boys saw a strange car with a couple of guys in stop and check out the trial where you left. He said, they were wearing suits. I’m pretty sure they know where you went, so they’ll leave us alone.” Garrett explained.
“But you still have to be careful.” Leslie said. “I don’t want anyone getting hurt.”
“We’re running our full security protocol, including some old fashioned guards posted along the road. That should be more than enough to keep us safe. What worries me is that they stopped at the ranger station and asked a bunch of questions about those trails you guys used.”
“They’re going to try and follow us. Let them come, this is my territory, they won’t have a clue how to defend themselves and believe me they are going to be on the defensive.” Sebastian said, the tone of his voice different than she’d ever heard it.
“I thought so too, that's why I called Adam at the forest service and found out about the stop at the ranger station. I told Adam as much as I could and he’s going to put the word out to all his people to keep an eye out for these guys. He’s made it clear that no one is to approach them, but that’s a lot of eyes out there so we’ll know when they’re on the move.”
“So, now we just have to wait. I hate waiting, but I can’t think of a better place to meet these guys. By the time they get here, they’ll be so exhausted it should be easy to take the
m out.”
“I’ve been thinking about that and wondering how they’re going to get to you. These guys are from the city, they have to know that they can’t get up there on their own.”
“No, they’re going to need a guide and some horses.” Sebastian said.
“Exactly, so I called Howard up in Little Falls and he’s going to spread the word to any of the guides in the area. They’re going to be hard pressed to find anyone to take them up there this time of year anyway. Even Howard said he wouldn’t take the job for any amount of money.”
“So either they will be on their own or with a guide who doesn’t know the area. That gives us another advantage. Okay, we know what we’re facing, now we just have to be prepared on our end.”
“I’m sure you don’t need any advice, but I do want you to check in with me twice a day. I’ll know when they’re on the move. We might just stop them before they get to you.”
“We’ll just have to wait and see. We’ve still got a little over three weeks until the trial, so at least two more up here. Let’s take it one day at a time.” Sebastian said, seeing the look on Leslie’s face when Garrett suggested they stop them.
“Okay, then until tomorrow. Stay warm you two.” Garrett said, then hung up.
They went back into the cave and threw some more wood on the fire, this was a development neither of them had wanted. They’d gone to all this trouble only to have been followed once again.
“I had hoped this wouldn’t happen, but we’re in good shape.” Garrett said, sitting down on the log he’d brought in for seating.
Leslie was pacing around the room, tired of fighting to stay alive. “I’m so tired of this. Just when I thought we were safe this happens.”
“Come over here and sit down.” He said, spreading a blanket on the ground between his legs.
Leslie settled herself between his legs, and leaned back against him. As soon as their bodies made contact she felt much better. She took a deep breath and released it slowly, calming down. Sebastian pulled the band from her hair and let it cascade down her back. He massaged her scalp, sending goosebumps racing over her body.
“We’ll have plenty of time to prepare for them. Garrett will tell us when they’re coming so it won’t be a surprise.”
“I know, I think I’m just tired. I’ll feel better after some sleep.” She said, becoming more relaxed by the minute.
“We haven’t slept much in the last three days, let’s go to bed. You’ll see, tomorrow we’ll construct some more defenses. Those guys won’t be able to get close to us.”
After building up the fire, they crawled into their pine scented bed, Leslie though she would have trouble falling asleep, but after only a few minutes she was sound asleep. Sebastian however, was awake for a few hours, turning their options over in his mind. Finally, he decided guerrilla warfare was the only way to go.
The next morning after breakfast, they set off into the meadow with several goals in mind. They’d brought all the horses with them, planning to get as much firewood as they could. Sebastian also wanted to survey the land and see what types of traps they could set.
“Have you ever set rabbit traps?”
“You mean to catch rabbits? No!” Leslie was shocked at the thought of killing rabbits.
“Don’t sound so shocked. We trap them all the time when we’re up here in the summer, it’s a great source of fresh meat.”
“Uh, my city shoes are showing.” She said, wrinkling her nose.
“We’re going to get you some mountain shoes before this is all over.” He said, kissing her on the forehead, the only piece of skin showing.
For the rest of the morning they set rabbit traps, Sebastian showing her how to create and set them. He explained his plan to set the same type of trap, only larger for the men coming after them. He showed her the trip wire he’d set to alert them to anyone coming into the valley and explained how they could change the design slightly and make a weapon.
The only problem with all of his plans was that they would have to be put into action once they knew the men were on their way, so animals didn’t stumble upon one of them. “We have to have everything ready, then when Garrett tells us they are on their way, we set them.”
“So, we stock pile our weapons, then set them on Garrett’s word. Do you have any real weapons?”
“Yes, and that’s our afternoon occupation. You’re going to learn to shoot a gun, both a hand gun and a shot gun. Both are useful up here, but I really want to concentrate on the shotgun.”
“I’ve shot a gun a few times, my dad likes to hunt and he took me with him a few times. It wasn’t for me, but I’m not scared of them.”
“Good, let’s get back to camp and have some lunch. We’ll check the traps tomorrow, we won’t catch anything today, especially once we start in with the guns.”
They headed back to the cave, gathering firewood as they went. Sebastian never missing an opportunity to add to their stockpile. After a quick lunch of left over pot roast and hot coffee, Sebastian taught Leslie to shoot, finding that while she didn’t enjoy it, she was a good shot and a good student.
That night he showed her how to uncoil the heavy rope they’d brought to create smaller ropes. Then they tied those ropes to create the snares that would be placed all over the ground at the entrance to the canyon. He also taught her how to remove the gun power from a bullet and with a hollowed out pinecone make a mini-bomb, which would be activated by a trip wire.
The bomb wouldn’t do much harm, but it would scare someone pretty good all the same. Leslie was a little nervous to be working with gun powder, but once she’d done a few she gained enough confidence that her hands stopped shaking.
That night as they lay in bed, Leslie realized that she’d stopped being scared about the men who were after them at some point that day. They held all the advantages in this situation, Sebastian had been right to bring them up here. As she drifted off to sleep in Sebastian’s arms, her only worry was about the future.
She knew without a doubt that she was in love with Sebastian, part of her knew he felt the same way, but he’d never said. Even if he did love her, was it enough to commit to her for the rest of their lives. There was no doubt in her mind that she wanted the marriage to be for real, but every time she brought it up, he’d been silent and she had no idea what that silence meant.
Sebastian too was thinking about their marriage and Leslie’s plans to have it annulled after this was all over. That was the last thing he wanted, he’d married her because he wanted to be with her, not because he was trying to protect her. He could have done that without the marriage.
It had been the only way to guarantee that she wouldn’t leave him, so he’d told her it was for her protection. She hadn’t mentioned the annulment in the last few days, but that didn’t mean she still wasn’t planning on trying to follow through. He was sure that she loved him, he just didn’t know if she knew it yet.
After this was over, they were going to have to have a long talk. Once that annulment was finalized it would be over, no relationship could survive that kind of thing. Leslie was snoring quietly in her sleep, looking as beautiful as ever, so he kissed her temple and pulled her close. They’d face this newest threat together, then he’d have to convince her that they belonged together.
Chapter 12
As the days went by, they developed a routine. Hunting and gathering firewood in the morning, then making weapons and target practice in the afternoon. They made love by the fire at night, snug and secure in the cave. On the days when the snow fell, they never left the cave except to care for the horses, which they did together.
They talked to Garrett every morning and each night, both relieved and upset when there was no sign of the men chasing them. After almost three weeks they decided that the men must have given up. The trial was scheduled to start the next week, so they planned to head down the mountain in a couple of days.
Donovan had every
thing handled from his end, including a private plane and a security team once they reached New York. He wasn’t letting Leslie fly in until the day she was scheduled to testify, until then he had a safe house for her miles from the city. Leslie was sad to leave their little nest, but she wanted to get this settled and move on, it was more than time for this to be over.
The night before they were supped to leave, Garrett burst her bubble of relief, reporting that the men had been spotted in town buying supplies. They’d checked into a motel and then visited the ranger station again.
“Adam said they had this young kid with them, he looked nervous and wouldn’t meet Adam’s eyes when he tried to talk to him. He took down the license plate and called the sheriff. It turns out he’s a guide from down south and doesn’t know anything about this country.” Garrett said.
“So they’re on their way up here with a kid who probably has no idea where he’s going.” Sebastian summarized.
“Exactly, but it gets worse. We’re pretty sure the kids doing this against his will. When Adam advised him that they shouldn’t be headed into the mountains all the kid could say was I got no choice over and over again. We think they’ve done something with his family, according to Facebook, he’s got a wife and kid.”
“You think they have his family and are forcing him to bring them up here. That makes sense, they had no choice, since no one from around here would do it.”
“I’ve been in contact with the sheriff down there, there’s no one at his house and it’s was obvious that there’d been a struggle. The sheriff managed to track them down at a motel in town, these guys clearly don’t know what it means to be in a small town.”
“Let me guess, the sheriff made a few phone calls and discovered where they were. Gotta love a small town. So now what?” Sebastian asked, pacing around the clearing in front of the cave.
“The sheriff is waiting for some back up, this is a tiny town, only himself and two deputies. The state is bringing in a swat team and they’ll get them out. I’ll keep an eye on the trail from a distance, if they head your way I’ll let you know.”
